Some hearts are worth stealing... even if the consequences are deadly.
When Atlee Walsh is attacked at the pharmacy where she works, the last person she expects to save her is Devlin Nelson. The oldest of the infamous Nelson brothers. A rugged and distant ex-soldier. A man with a reputation as dark as the past he won’t talk about.
After Devlin spirits her away to his remote cabin to recover, Atlee knows she should be scared. But all she feels is safe. Wanted. She can't ignore the simmering attraction between them. And when the walls between them break, the quiet strength behind his silence becomes impossible to resist.
But danger isn’t far behind. With a corrupt deputy obsessed with bringing the Nelson brothers down, and powerful enemies closing in, Atlee uncovers a truth she isn’t ready for: the cattle rustling that’s kept the ranch afloat… and the man she’s falling for at the center of it.
In a small town where water rights determine survival and old grudges never die, Atlee and Devlin will have to fight not just for their love, but for their lives. Because some men will do anything to get revenge, even use the woman Devlin loves against him.
Branded is a smoldering small-town, friends to lovers, protector romance about loyalty, redemption, and the cowboy who would burn the world to keep her safe. No matter the cost. Start reading and fall in love with Atlee and Devlin.
A great addition to this new series. Able to be standalone but themes from first book carry over. Devlin is the quiet Nelson brother. Atlee is the younger woman he rescued from a robber at her workplace in book one. Lots of suspense in this one that kept me interested. I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.
Branded by Laramie Briscoe is steamy. Atlee and Devlin are a great match. After Devlin helps Atlee he lets her stay at his place. A place his brothers have not even been at. But he wants her there to protect her. Atlee can’t believe she is staying with Devlin. These 2 have some serious chemistry that you need to read. Go one click now.
This new series is amazing. I loved the first book in this series and this one was even better. These characters are written so well, the suspense just brings a wonderful layer to a wonderful story. Amazing once again.
This one was better than the first book… I loved seeing Devlin come out of his shell and allowing himself happiness…. Seeing Atlee be so fiercely loyal to devlin was so good to see… They brought out the best in each other …
