⚽️ARC REVIEW BOOK RECEIVED FROM AUTHOR⚽️

Adult Goals by Abby Moore was my first sports romance and let me just say that I am now emotionally attached and probably need supervision. I really enjoyed this book.
I’ll admit it took me a little bit to get into at first, but honestly that could be because I was actively getting a tattoo while reading and apparently pain + hot fictional men = zero reading comprehension 😭😂 butttt once I locked in though? Absolutely obsessed

A couple things I need to address:
•This is absolutely a slow burn and I will die on that hill. Scout and Crew don’t even kiss until almost 60% in and honestly? Perfection 🤌🏻 The tension was so good it should’ve been illegal. The build up had me kicking my feet, giggling, and questioning my standards in real life. And the way Crew was protecting Scout?? Sir, relax before I make poor decisions 🥵 If slow burns aren’t your thing then respectfully… this may not be for you
•I do NOT consider this a one bed trope. In my opinion a one bed trope is when they’re forced to share because there’s no other choice, not because the FMC casually ends up in his room 😂 In the book they had separate rooms, and sleeping in the same bed is what really started their relationship (even though they already had feelings for one another) but they weren’t kissing or doing anything, which honestly made the slow burn even better

And the crossover?! If you know, you KNOW. Seeing my favorite mafia family pop up had me acting like I spotted a celebrity in public. Did I fully understand how they were related? No. Did I care? Also no. They could show up in a grocery store scene and I’d still be thrilled. Anyways since this is an incomplete series, my current theory is Harper and Nik are next 👀 and if I’m right, I will be insufferable about it 🤭

I have to start this off by saying this is my new favorite Abby Moore book. I’m standing on that ten toes down.

I immediately started this yesterday and then couldn’t put it down to go to bed. I lost sleep because I just didn’t want to stop reading. I haven’t read a soccer romance book so this one was on the top of my list. (I’m forever grateful I was able to arc read.) The book didn’t disappoint at all. I felt like I was in the story with the characters, especially during games and practices. It had me reminiscing on my soccer days and I loved that. I love when a book can make me feel like I’m there and seeing what’s happening. I giggled and kicked my feet, but I also cried. My heartstrings were pulled on for sure. I hope to get more books in this series because I seriously loved it so much.

The story is told mostly through Scouts pov so when you get Crews pov you’re absolutely SAT😋 Crew Landon is for sure a new book boyfriend of mine.

Also can we acknowledge the fact that vipers den/vipers lair were intertwined into this book? Because a girl caught on so quickly and loved all of those crumbs🤭

Abby thank you so much for the e-arc copy. I’m so incredibly grateful!!

Thank you Abby for trusting me with an ARC for this!!

Want a slow burn, strangers to lovers all the while being a sports romance?? A touch her or talk about her you die kinda guy?? READ THIS ON MAY 22!!

This was such a fun time and it was cool knowing you put yourself in Scott’s shoes to learn how to play soccer. I like how this is a sports romance that focuses on the romance but also has a lot to do with the sport itself too.

This was my first sport romance read. I am now a fan of sports romance

Adult Goals is such an amazing read! Scout Meadows and Landan Crew’s story will pull you in from the very beginning and keep you completely hooked. This sports romance has the perfect mix of fun, emotion, and chemistry.

The banter between Scout and Landan is so entertaining—it adds a light, playful energy that makes their connection feel real and enjoyable. But beyond the humor, their love story is incredibly heartwarming. You’ll find yourself falling for Landan Crew right alongside Scout.

Scout is a strong young woman who has faced many heartbreaking moments in her life. Watching her find her place on an adult soccer team—and ultimately find love with Landan, the team’s captain—is both inspiring and emotional.

This book is the perfect blend of romance, growth, and sports, making it a must-read for fans of the genre.
Abby Moore Is a great amazing writer and will surely become a best seller with her talented writing. 💗

10/10 ⭐️

The spice??? HELLO??? 🌶️🌶️ it was giving HOT hot, but not just for shock value—it actually built the tension and fit the characters so well.

And the PLOT??? Thick. Layered. Had me locked in the whole time. This wasn’t just spice carrying the book, the story genuinely delivered.

Also can we talk about the soccer detail?? You can TELL she did her research. It wasn’t surface-level at all—it added so much depth and made everything feel real and immersive.

I laughed, I cried, and I honestly felt such a personal connection to the main female character. She felt real in a way that sticks with you.

I also loved the small little nods to Vipers Den—nothing overpowering, just enough to make it feel connected if you’ve read it.

If you want something with real tension, depth, emotion, and spice that actually hits… read this immediately.

Adult Goals by Abby Moore was such a relatable and fun read! It had that perfect mix of humor, chaos, and real-life struggles that made it feel super easy to connect with. I loved how messy and real the characters felt—like they’re just trying to figure life out one questionable decision at a time (same 😅). The banter was great, and the chemistry between the main characters kept me hooked the whole time. It had some steamy moments, but it also balanced that with a lot of heart. There were a few spots where things felt a little rushed or I wanted just a bit more depth, especially with some of the emotional moments, but overall it didn’t take away from how enjoyable it was. If you’re in the mood for a light, entertaining romance that feels real and a little chaotic in the best way, this one is definitely worth picking up!

I absolutely devoured this book…one of those reads that pulls you in completely and doesn’t let go. It had me laughing one minute and tearing up the next, and I loved every second of the emotional ride.

If you’re in the mood for a slow-burn sports romance that builds tension in the best way, this needs to be on your TBR.

This was my first book by Abby, and now I’m officially hooked! I can’t wait to dive into the rest of her work.

I devoured Adult Goals by Abby Moore. This is EVERYTHING I want in a sports romance. Not only do you get the swoon-worthy romance, but you actually learn about the sport in a way that pulls you in instead of glazing over it. The intensity, the drive, the passion—it all felt so real.

And Crew??? The way he loves Scout is the kind of love that sticks with you. Protective, devoted, all-consuming in the best way. I felt every moment of their story, and I already want to reread.

I received this as an ARC! I loved this story! I loved how scout went out and did something she wasn’t great at but set her mind on it and get better. I also like how the MMC was down for scout from the beginning of the story and through her struggles. Crew had me giggling so much too. Loved the book!!

Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.

I have been looking forward to this book since learning about it a couple of months ago and it didn’t disappoint. While I don’t know squat about soccer, this actually taught me some, but I loved Crew and Scout’s story. He was kind and sweet to her in just the way she needed and especially at the times it mattered most.

Wow! The story was absolutely fantastic. This was a love story that brought the plot, the spice, and the incredibly well developed characters. This is the first book I have read by Abby Moore and it will not be my last. The way the Vipers become family to each other and how they bring in Scout, even before she is with Crew, is so incredible. The way Crew sacrifices for Scout to be there for her in the times she needs him most. This book hooked me quickly and i struggled to put it down! Thank you Abby for this amazing piece of writing!

I started reading this book and couldn't put it down. This was my first soccer romance, and even though I’m a soccer hater, I enjoyed every single second of it.

I loved that we get to learn about the sport right alongside Scout.
Scout is that FMC that you can relate to, the problems she is going through, and how she keeps fighting for the things she wants.

Scout's friendship with Gracie and Harper reminded me of my own friends, and I couldn't stop smiling every time her friends were there for her.

Crew was an asshole at the beginning of the book, but he stole my heart with the way he cared for Scout and protected her.

I may or may not have cried for 3 chapters straight, lol.

The team (Vipers) was a family, and you could tell by the way they protected each other. I love all of them, but Caden and Kendall were my favorites.

It had the perfect amount of spice, without being overwhelming or overshadowing the plot.
Overall, this was one of my favorite reads so far this year. I can't wait to continue the series and get my hands on a copy.

This one leans sports romance with strong themes of self-worth, drive, bravery, found family, love, friendship and a touch of mean girls....and overall? This was such a cute read!

Okay, so if I’m being a little nitpicky (and speaking as someone who spends a lot of time at the soccer fields)... and stay with me after this first part... Rec leagues can absolutely be competitive, but this felt a bit over the top intense – especialy with a pro player – and thinking you can practice for a few days and be “just as good” or quickly get in shape during season ... that part had me raising an eyebrow.

BUT the more you read, the more you realize...it’s not really completely about that or even the soccer...

It’s about determination.
It’s about refusing to quit.
It’s about proving something to yourself.

What start’s as something fun quickly turns competitive – and a little messy – making space for self-doubt to creep in but even more opportunity for growth.

Scout Meadow’s doesn’t always feel like she belongs, but she keeps showing up. And honestly? Her self pep talks are unmatched! She pushes past her limits and fights to carve out her place, even when the odds (and some truly awful teammates with major mean girl energy) are stacked against her. And her best friends? You won’t find better hype girls anywhere!

And then there’s Crew Landon – professional futbol player in between teams due to injury and team coach, greek god level gorgeous on the outside, but somehow even better on the inside (once you get past his prickly exterior). His loyalty to his team, his people, his family ... it is everything. He show’s up, stands up, and protects what matters.

One thing that really stood out to me was the team dynamic – because while some players bring the drama, there are also teammates, male and female, who show up in the best ways. The ones who become her people. Her support system. The ones who turn a team into a true found family and remind her she’s not alone.

At its core, this is a story layered with self-doubt, pushing through adversity, navigating a medical “disability”, and ulitmately finding yourself – and love – along the way (and on the field),

In the end, this was such a fun, heartwarming read and I’m exctied to see where the rest of the stories go as they follow some of the other characters.

Oh my goodness. If I could rate this book 10 stars I absolutely would. The way I could not put this book down last night was absolutely insane! There was one point in time where I was laughing so hard my kids looked at me and asked if I was okay 😂

To start Abby Moore you’re a literal genius. There’s no other way to describe the way you write. It catches the attention of everyone. There’s comedy, there’s banter, there’s spice, and there’s a plot so good it has you completely enthralled 🤪

• Scout
I think I have found my favorite FMC out of all the characters Abby has ever written. Scott was determined not to quit. She made promises to her friends and her mom. She showed strength and determination to something completely out of her comfort zone. And she had SUCH good one liners. 10/10.

• Crew
This man, my god. I wish I had more to say but this MAN. He showed up in ways I couldn’t even start to explain. The way he is undoubtedly there anytime Scout needed him. THE WAY HE PROTECTS HER TOO. Swooooooooon 🤭 his character was so much fun to follow along with.

• The vipers
I think once those who shall not be named left, everyone around scout and crew was ten time happier. I straight up thought Ford was swinging for the other team😂 I was wrong.
The way they are truly a found family with one another I loved. Watching each others backs, speaking up for one another, and the nicknames 😂

• Grace & Harper
This is such a true girl gang. The girls nights out, the pizza nights in. Knowing each other so deeply that they can feel the other’s emotions by just a look😌 chiefs kiss 💋 also - grace is so wild I cannot wait to get my hands on her book!

Overall 👇🏽
This book was a 5 out of 5 for me. The comedy and romance were outstanding. Also the need I have for this book to be made in a movie or TV series is BIG. I would sit there and binge watch like nobodies business. There is a round of applause for the author as well because she included the nitty gritty details of the sport as well and I LOVED that 🔥 I can really appreciate when an author goes above and beyond for their work.

Abby Moore’s Adult Goals is an absolute standout in the sports romance genre, delivering a layered and emotionally resonant story that leaves you feeling like you’ve lived every moment alongside the characters.

The level of detail regarding the soccer world is exceptional, making the practices and match sequences feel incredibly immersive. I loved how the authenticity made the entire environment feel grounded and real.

Scout Meadows is a deeply relatable and resilient protagonist whose journey toward finding her place on an adult soccer team is both inspiring and moving.

The narrative, primarily seen through Scout’s eyes, builds a wonderful sense of anticipation that makes the transition into Crew Landon’s perspective feel earned and impactful.

Crew is an instant favorite, providing the perfect blend of leadership and charm, while the banter between him and Scout provides a light, playful energy that keeps the pages turning.

Their connection is electric from the start, managing to be laugh-out-loud funny in one moment and genuinely heartbreaking the next.

While the chemistry is undeniably high-heat, the spice serves the plot by building genuine tension and fitting the characters perfectly rather than acting as a distraction. Unlike many stories where the romance overshadows the plot, this book offers a thick narrative where the stakes feel meaningful.

Whether you are diving into this world for the first time or looking for something with real depth and emotion, Adult Goals is a must-read that delivers on every front. It is a heartwarming journey of growth and passion that sticks with you long after the final page.

Thank you, Abby, for the e-ARC copy; I am incredibly grateful for the chance to experience Scout and Crew's story and truly hope to see more in this series.

I was super excited to receive an eARC from Abby Moore !!!

The beginning had me instantly drawn in when our MFC, Scout, joined an adult soccer league. I honestly didn’t even know these existed, but later reading the authors note, found out Abby did this too in order to gain knowledge for the book! HOW COOL IS THAT! Scout joins this league and is instantly over her head. She didn’t realize how serious the team would be and how much practice would be involved. However, she also didn’t realize how many smoking men's bodies she would be surrounded by and she is not sad about it. Even though not everyone is excited to have her on the team, plenty are nice enough that she feels encouraged to keep at it. That and her best friends wouldn’t let her quit even if she wanted to.

Scout ends up breaking up with her “friends with benefits”, Author, in hopes to possibly pursue something with another member of the team. But having googly eyes at anyone is becoming challenging when the captain of the team, Crew, seems to always have something to say. Crew is grumpy and slightly abrasive. But when he starts coaching her privately and they start spending more time together.. His walls start to fall. This is the perfect example of tension and slow burn.

Crew was the best MMC… I even loved his grumpy side. Abby sure does know how to write a MMC. My only complaint is I wanted more of Crew! We didn’t get is POV until 40% in and I could have honestly had a whole book of him. Abby had some connections (I think) to her other books embedded in this story and I love when authors do that.

Thank you so much Abby for including me in your journey! I can’t wait for everyone else's stories! 4.5 stars for me!

I have to start this off by saying this is hands down one of my favorite books I’ve read this year and definitely my new favorite by Abby Moore. I started it and literally could not put it down. I lost sleep because I just didn’t want it to end. This was my first soccer romance and WOW… I’ve officially been sucked in because this book did not disappoint at all. I felt like I was right there in the story with Scout and Crew, I love when a book can make me feel like I’m actually there seeing everything play out. I was giggling, kicking my feet, and yes… I cried too because it definitely pulled on my heartstrings. Scout’s growth was everything. Watching her step out of her comfort zone and push herself was so good, and I loved how Crew was down for her from the very beginning. Crew Landon is 100% a new book boyfriend of mine 😌 I also loved that the story was mostly from Scout’s POV because when you do get Crew’s POV, it just hits different and you appreciate it so much more. And can we talk about the Vipers Den or Lair being woven into the story? LOVED those little crumbs 🤭 Honestly, I need a physical copy asap, and if I could highlight this entire book, I would. This was an easy 5⭐ read for me, and I 100% recommend it. I will absolutely be reading more from this author because I’m obsessed. I am so grateful I got the ARC. ARC REVIEW - book received from author

I really wish I could do partial stars because this was more than 4 star rating but not quite a full 5 for me. This book was such a good slow burn! It took me some time to get into it, but once I did, I DEVOURED it!!

I think it took me a while to get into it because I really really wanted to just love Ford but I knew that he wasn't her end-game so it was hard to take the "potential relationship" between them serious. I'm hoping we get a good Ford redemption arc though! For me, the only other drawback in this book was how the FMC's asthma was handled. As a lifetime asthma girl myself, it was hard for me to fully connect and understood her asthma journey. I thought the "big secret" was going to be so much more than an inhaler hahaha

The tension between Crew and Scout was NEXT level and I.ATE.IT.UP! I love an MMC that can be both protective while they also give each other so much sass and shit talking. I loved getting the Crew POV chapters. They didn't start until further into the book so that was such a fun little surprise sprinkled in! As an Oklahoma girl, the little tidbits about Norman & Lake Dirtybird were NEXT.LEVEL. Their dynamic as their relationship grows and changes was written so well with the banter remaining amazing throughout all the different stages of their relationship.

All in all, a great book that going to make you giggle, laugh out loud, shed some tears, and seriously consider picking up a new adult sport hobby.

Absolutely yes! This is a must read!

Scout is signed up for an adult soccer league during a party, they did it for her own good to give her a distraction and something to help her of course they know what’s best for her and of course they won’t let her quit. Scout is probably one of the most relatable characters. She is a painfully shy introvert who also refuses to back down when being told she can’t do something.

Crew the pro soccer player coaching and playing in the adult league while he rehabs and waits for an offer to go back to the pros. From the second Crew and Scout see each other is pure tension something that sometimes feels like hate and others like complete disinterest or dismissal. Everyone around him says they all love him and love playing on his team but to Scout he is the hot soccer player with an attitude problem and is off limits.

The tension between these two is epic Scout can’t seem to take her eyes off him even when he is being dismissive or harsh. He asks her over and over if she is going to keep playing or quit and it pushes her even harder to be better to do better to prove she belongs.

I absolutely love the fact that this book is dual pov and we get to see these interactions from Crew’s pov later on in the book. I absolutely devoured this book I read it in less than a day I could not put it down! I also loved how Abby has brought everything together I like to call it her Abbyverse!!!

Okay, so from the second I started reading, I was totally hooked! Scout Meadows is seriously so relatable, and I absolutely adore her! Watching her deal with the crazy intensity of adult soccer while going through her own stuff was just so good. This was my first sports romance, and I devoured it!

Crew Landan? Ugh, he's the perfect mix of annoying and lovable. Yeah, he can be a total grump, but the way he was there for Scout when she really needed him, especially with all the stuff with her mom, just made me fall for him. The chemistry between Scout and Crew? Fire! Their interactions kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

And the team dynamic? Seriously amazing! The Vipers add another layer to the story, and seeing Scout step up and prove herself was so inspiring. I loved how they were all there for her, pushing her to be her best self. And her friends? Total squad goals! They always showed up to cheer her on, which was the cutest thing ever. This book will seriously make you feel ALL the emotions. It's a perfect mix of heart, humor, and heat. I'm completely obsessed and already counting down the days until I can read it again! Definitely a must-read!

Abby has freaking done it again!! Thank you so much for allowing me to read this Arc copy of my very first sports romance. I am truly honored! I am so excited to see where this series goes. I am HOOKED!!

Adult Goals by Abby Moore was my first soccer romance, and it ended up being way more relatable than I expected—especially since I used to play soccer myself. That personal connection made the story hit even harder, and honestly, it had me wishing for my own soccer love story.

One of the standout aspects of the book is the female main character. I loved her determination, especially when she was being given a hard time by other female characters. She didn’t let that break her, and watching her push through those challenges made her incredibly easy to root for.

The male main character had such a satisfying character arc. He starts off as kind of an asshole, but seeing him grow into someone protective and genuinely caring was everything. That shift added so much depth to the romance—and I won’t lie, I was completely in love with him by the end.

Overall, Adult Goals is a fun, engaging, and swoon-worthy read with strong character development and a relatable sports backdrop. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves soccer romances or stories with emotional growth and chemistry.

✨ARC Review for Adult Goals✨

Thank you Abby for an advanced copy. Who knew a book about an adult rec soccer team could be so interesting. Was it realistic? No. Did it have good characters, plot, growth and was a rom com in book form? Yes. Between dealing with school, work, and her mom’s cancer diagnosis, Scout’s friends decide she needs something fun and something and out of her comfort zone so they sign her up for an adult soccer team. Abby did a great job with the soccer team characters and I loved the dual POV you got halfway through. When I read the quote after the dedication I thought there would be too much spice, but it didn’t overpower the story and there was a good build up to it. 🌶️🌶️ when you finally get to it about 70% in.

Writing style - I realized I really loved contractions and found myself mentally changing all of the “she is okay” “she’s okay” because part of it felt too formal for me. Overall, this was a quick fun read when you want to get lost in a story for a day or two

If you love contemporary sports romance, Adult Goals needs to be your next read ⚽🔥

Scout Meadows joins an adult soccer league knowing absolutely NOTHING about the sport, no rules, no skills, just vibes, and somehow ends up with a very hot ex-pro soccer player as her coach… Crew Landon😮‍💨

What starts as chaos on the field turns into so much more. You follow Scout as she navigates learning the game, finding her confidence, and working through loss in a way that are real and emotional. Crew is there every step of the way wanted or not.

You’re getting:
✨ “teach me” vibes
✨ one bed trope
✨ love triangle tension
✨ protective, swoony coach energy

Crew Landon is the kind of MMC who pushes her to be better but also makes you melt every time he’s on page. The chemistry is there, the tension builds perfectly, and the payoff is so worth it.

This book is fun, flirty, emotional, and just the right amount of spicy, perfect if you want something that gives you all the feels while still making you smile.
