I can see what Moore is doing with these drawings, his style is very sculptural because he was primarily a sculptor. But they did not do a lot for me; I was looking for something more realistic and detailed for a sense of time/place/history, and these are more about forms and contrasts.

A remarkable treasure of a book. It is splendid to view a facsimile of the masters own sketchbook from a remarkable period in history. Each page and illustration is captivating.
