alright so up until like 60-70% of the book i was eating it up! but i felt like the romance, when it was finally happening, was super rushed. if it wasn’t at full speed ahead and took more time to be savoured this would have bumped up the rating.
overall this was a fun small town cowboy romance and i enjoyed reading it but i definitely wanted more!

I was so looking forward to the next installment in what was a beautiful scenic world with a cast of wonderful characters, but this book was not what I hoped for at all - especially having given Found With You 5 stars - and it felt very rushed.
This book was so short that it also felt like our mc's Josie and Wyatt barely had enough interactions with each other to build a relationship. Looking back, Found With You was also shorter read, but it felt perfectly paced.
Out of 250 pages, Josie spends 150 of them hating Wyatt. She doesn't view him as desirable and rolls her eyes and seethes every time his "insufferable" self so much enters her vision. Then suddenly, after a kiss that was a dare (which Josie was not happy about), she does a complete 180 and falls head over heels for him. Quite literally 10 pages later, Josie is drawing up a s*x contract between them. It came completely out of nowhere.
Then their relationship progressed so fast I barely had time to process it.
Even though Wyatt had been in love with Josie since they were kids, I could never figure out why...
He found her attractive, sure, but her personality was entirely dislikable. We never really get a sense of what he likes about her, besides maybe her bossiness.
I would have loved to see this yearning portrayed better. I think it would have been helpful to see scenes of them together from their childhoods.
This would have also made it easier to understand the 'enemies to lovers' dynamic between them.
Because not once did I ever view Wyatt as anything other than a sweet, helpful, thoughtful, respectable puppy dog.
Josie hates Wyatt because he wound her up and played pranks on her when they were kids. She leaves the ranch for a decade and returns still holding a grudge.
Other than putting dung in her boots once and not letting Josie play with him and his brothers, we never get much insight into why Josie hates him so deeply. Of course it wasn't nice of Wyatt, and he definitely owed Josie an apology, but from the two examples we were provided on why Josie hated him, I can't help but feel like Wyatt's behaviour was pretty standard for a wild ranch kid fooling around.
And if I'm honest, based on Josie's attitude to everything in general the entire book, I can't imagine she was the nicest to him when they were younger either...
From the moment we meet Wyatt, he displays the greenest of green flag behaviours.
The version of Wyatt that Josie thinks he is (as well as how Wyatt thinks of himself) isn't what is portrayed to the reader.
A quote from Wyatt's POV is:
"The rest of the world sees me as I want them to - fun Wyatt, the joker, never one to bring down a room."
Except this isn't the Wyatt I got to know. He was a hardworking man, an amazing uncle, and once him and Josie got together - a doting partner.
His emotional maturity was very prevalent to me. If he was such a horrible person, he'd clearly changed.
I feel like the mature thing for Josie to do would have been to confront Wyatt about her problem with him and ask for an apology, rather than essentially bullying him the entire book.
I didn't agree with her actions when she vandalised Wyatt's boots (likely of quality and an expensive pair that he'd worn in for years) as "payback".
This was also a sure-fire way to lose her position as nanny for Wyatt's brother, which she desperately needed.
I felt frustrated that Josie didn't recognise that she was talking to a mature adult who had struggles of his own. She wasn't open to the possibility that Wyatt could be different, and her actions displayed immaturity.
Their romance just didn't work for me one bit; I wasn't convined by the 'enemies to lovers' dynamic; I couldn't figure out why they were suited for each other; and where I feel there could've been simmering tension and an immediate connection or spark of some sort upon their first time seeing each other again after years, I felt nothing.
Again, I think flashback scenes could have been extremely beneficial here. Wyatt and his "it's always been you" mentality would have been a lot more impactful if I could have actually seen this built up over the years.
As for the main plot device that brought our two love interests together, it was such an underused and underdeveloped aspect of the book. It barely made sense for Josie to move onto Wyatt's family ranch and be the nanny, because she hardly did any nannying.
We never get an introduction scene of her meeting the two kids she'll be nannying, and even 2 weeks pass of her being employed before we get a scene of her being with the kids.
We also don't get a description of what both kids look like. At the very end of the book I think it references the little girls' blonde braids, when I'd already decided to make her have dark hair the whole book because no description was given.
It was difficult to form a bond with the two kids and feel what should have been heartwarming vibes when my mind drew a blank whenever they were on page.
Josie using the pay from her nannying job to pay for her dream to move to Australia was something else that confused me. I felt like I never gained an understanding of why this was her dream - what was drawing her to there?

I had thought at the end that Josie would come to the realisation that the ranch was where she felt at home, but she still plans to leave, with Wyatt alongside her - but I just didn't fully get why. * 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 *
My least favourite part of this book, despite all my issues above, however, was Josie's reckless driving. ESPECIALLY considering Josie is not only a NANNY with two children under her protection, but that her own parents died in a car crash.
Josie even has recurring nightmares and trauma because of the incident; and her being scared of the dark is relevant to parts of the plot.
In one scene, she drove "twice the speed limit", with two children in the back of the car, one arm not on the wheel and hanging out the window instead, and has to push on the breaks (which we know haven't been working properly) to avoid crashing into a HERD of moose.
Josie doesn't even seem bothered, and the scene continues casually as if nothing happened.
As I'm writing this, I've also just remembered a scene where Johnny (Wyatt's brother) is getting made fun of (by his brothers) for not "getting any"... when his wife had died somewhat recently? in childbirth no less!
The scene didn't feel appropriate, especially when we're seeing the difficulties Johnny's kids were having coping with the loss of their mother from Josie's pov.
Both of these scenes felt incredibly insensitive and were shocking to me.
Finally, the thing that I struggled with in this book that affected my enjoyment the most, was just being unable to picture the characters (both main and side). I don't believe we ever get a description of the mmc's face besides his hair colour, and it took 50 pages to even just find out what the fmc's hair colour was.
It had been a year since I read the first book, and I didn't remember what Josie looked like in it, so my mind was left blank while I waited on a description. Similarly, Wyatt has 4 brothers, and we definitely don't get a description of any of them at any point.
The scenic descriptions in this book were nice, but nowhere near as well described as the previous book. I noted in my review for Found With You how much I could feel the authors love for her home shining through the pages, but they just didn't stand out to me in this book.
Had the near moose crash scene not stuck out to me as so distasteful, I would still want to read more of this author's writing, but due to how insensitive it felt, I'm not so sure I will now 🫤

I went into Wild With You expecting a spicy cowboy romance but left crying after that last chapter and the epilogue. Wild With You is a cowboy romance with that love that’s been lingering for a LONG. ASS. TIME. Josie absolutely despises Wyatt because of how much he pestered her growing up, but when she’s hit her rock bottom, life ends up bringing her back to the ranch. It’s not just your ordinary romance as other characters are grieving the loss of their wife/sister-in-law/mom, and actively grieving their dad as they lose him and he loses his memories to Alzheimer’s.
Overall, an incredible read and I can’t wait to read more Lynsey Harper ASAP. gimme more, stat!!

Right off the bat I can tell you I loved that there was a recap of book one with a little note from the author explaining everything and what was important for the book if you hadn’t read it. Wish I saw more or that.
Wyatt Holden has been in love with Josie since the third grade. When she becomes his brother’s nanny the opportunity to change her option of him falls right into his lap and he’s willing to spend all summer making her see how he feels. I absolutely loved the kids in this book. So funny and so much personality. Wyatt and his brothers’ group chat had me cackling on the airplane. What an adorable story.

I absolutely loved the MCs in this book. The loathe to love and utter filth of it all...was ridiculous! We've all been there!!! The careful & sensitive approach to the delivery of Chuck's story line was very powerful.

Wild With You, the second book in the With You series, follows Wyatt and Josie as they navigate a relationship shaped by love, loss, healing, and second chances. I went into this book expecting a fun, spicy cowboy romance, but by Chapter 2ish, I was already in tears—and they didn't stop. What I thought would be a lighthearted romance turned into one of the most heartfelt, emotional stories I've read this year. Saying this book shattered my heart is truly an understatement.
It all begins with the incredible banter between Wyatt and Josie. Their chemistry is effortless, their back-and-forth is hilarious, and the childhood dynamic of "the boy who teased the girl he secretly liked" makes for such a fun foundation. But beneath the laughs lies a story with so much heart.
At its core, Wild With You is a slow-burn cowboy romance built on years of history. Wyatt is the dependable prankster—the fun-loving uncle and friend everyone relies on—but beneath his easygoing exterior, he's quietly fighting a deeply personal battle. It hit incredibly close to home for me, and Lynsey portrays it with such honesty, compassion, and grace that I couldn't help but feel every emotion alongside him.
Josie is also trying to find her footing after hitting rock bottom. Returning to the ranch—and to Wyatt—is the last thing she ever expected. She has every reason to dislike him after years of relentless teasing, but as they're thrown back into each other's lives, those old perceptions begin to fade, revealing a connection that's been there all along.
What makes this story so special is that the romance isn't the only emotional journey. The Holden family is still carrying the weight of grief while facing the heartbreaking realities of Alzheimer's, watching a beloved father slowly lose pieces of himself. Lynsey handled this storyline with incredible care, respect, and authenticity. Wyatt Holden is dealing with his fair share of difficulties when Josie comes on the scene. Not only did he lose his sister-in-law, but his dad is going through the debilitating disease of Alzheimer’s. Wyatt has one task to complete on the Moon River Ranch, and that is to restore a former barn into a dance hall to honor his dad. The only issue? He keeps getting distracted by the girl he’s loved all his life, Josie Thompson.
Throughout this book, both Josie and Wyatt learn to cope with grief, with past resentment, with strong desire, and a hesitation to fall in love.
This book made me cry in chapter two and then proceeded to do so numerous times thereafter. What I went into expecting a fun, hot, cowboy romance ended up being a heartwarming, emotional, beautiful story that left me sobbing at the end. Lynsey has absolutely outdone herself once again. Readers who loved Found With You will adore Wild With You and appreciate all the cameos from Millie and Caden, as well as numerous other members of the memorable cast of characters Lynsey creates.
Lynsey wrote the story about a beloved family member going through Alzheimer's so respectfully and beautifully that anyone who has experienced similar loss will appreciate the care and kindness she put into her work.
Five stars. Give me the next one ASAP. Thank you.

This book made me cry in chapter two and then proceeded to do so numerous times thereafter. What I went into expecting a fun, hot, cowboy romance ended up being a heartwarming, emotional, beautiful story that left me sobbing at the end. Lynsey has absolutely outdone herself once again. Readers who loved Found With You will adore Wild With You and appreciate all the cameos from Millie and Caden, as well as numerous other members of the memorable cast of characters Lynsey creates.
Lynsey wrote the story about a beloved family member going through Alzheimer's so respectfully and beautifully that anyone who has experienced similar loss will appreciate the care and kindness she put into her work.

After enjoying Found With You, I was excited to dive into Wyatt and Josie's story. Unfortunately, this one ended up being a 3 star read for me. It wasn't bad by any means. I just kept wanting a little more.
This is a dual POV, small town romance with cowboy vibes, a black cat and golden retriever dynamic, enemies to lovers vibes, a unique nanny romance, and no third act breakup (which I always appreciate!).
Wyatt was definitely the highlight of this book for me. He was emotionally mature, incredibly lovable, and such a great uncle. I loved his unwavering feelings and the way he wore his heart on his sleeve. My favorite quote was, "It's you, darlin'. It's always been you." ❤️
I struggled more with Josie. I understood where she was coming from, but after a while it felt like she spent too much of the book pushing Wyatt away. I found myself wanting to see their relationship evolve a little sooner, and because of that, the story started to drag for me.
There were still plenty of things I enjoyed. The banter between Wyatt and Josie was fun, there were a few moments that made me smile, the spice was light but well done, and I appreciated the Alzheimer's representation. I also loved getting a quick refresher at the beginning of the book since it's part of a series, and it was nice spending a little more time with characters from the first book.
The epilogue was a really sweet way to wrap everything up and left me smiling.
Overall, this was a solid read, but I found myself skimming the second half because I was hoping for a little more emotional depth and relationship development. I am a true believer (since I am a mood reader) that books come to you when you need them. That they catch your attention when you are supposed to read them, and this book had been sitting in my TBR for quite a bit once I got Lynsey Harper's email with my ARC.
But once I started reading it I knew why I had waited that long. Now, buckle up because this review will be both heartfelt and unhinged. Just like the book is.
On one part we've got Wyatt, the prankster and fun friend/uncle, the one people always rely on. But *slight spoiler* he is battling something that I can relate 100%, something that I wish no one had to go through because it sucks and it makes you feeling useless and powerless.

in wild with you, we are following josie who has just lost her job and desperate to save for her trip to Australia. she wants to get as far away from braggan valley as she can, so as her last resort, she takes a job as a nanny for the summer watching the niece and nephew of her childhood enemy. now josie must live at the holden ranch and try her best to steer clear of wyatt. the one who made her childhood hell with all his pranks and teasing.
wyatt couldn’t be more thrilled to have josie living on the ranch and nannying his brother’s kids. wyatt has been carrying a torch for josie since they were kids; even if he had a funny way of showing it. now, wyatt must prove to josie that he’s not the immature kid he use to be and maybe keep her attention.
i loved both josie and wyatt so much!! both characters had so much depth. i loved learning about wyatt’s family and everything they were dealing with and how josie was helping to make their lives a little more manageable. the little moments between these two were the best. there’s a part where josie gets her period and wyatt runs to her rescue. he takes care of her, cleans up after her and even makes her a care basket. all of his acts of service and sweetness just made my heart melt. as a girlie with endometriosis, wyatt is now the blueprint for me 🥹

The slow burn in this book is painfully good. When I say I was screaming at my Kindle, that's probably the polite version! The banter between Josie and Wyatt was perfection. Their chemistry jumped off the page, and it was impossible not to root for them. They complemented each other so well, and every interaction felt natural and believable.
And when the romance finally delivers? Whew. Let's just say Wyatt completely earned his place on the book-boyfriend list.
Beyond the romance, this story carries a lot of emotional weight. Josie lost her parents at a young age, and Wyatt's father is living in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. These themes were handled with so much care and sensitivity that I found myself tearing up more than once. How they think that they are completely opposites,but even how they MUST be together,how they MUST be one.& of course how wild they are together.
Although,what definitely wretched me and made me give that 5 star was the goddamn epilogue.I just cried and had to pause my brain for a minute,but hey THAT WAS A GOOD BOOK.

The way that this book completely shattered my little heart is an absolute understatement.
Everything starts out so perfectly with the incredible banter between Josie and Wyatt. That very first scene with Josie was so incredibly relatable, it perfectly captures that feeling of "when everything is going wrong, it just keeps getting worse" on a day when the universe is just not on your side! But little by little, as they start getting along and Wyatt keeps pushing and pushing to be good to Josie, the love story unfolds and omg😍😍😍😍 It is beautiful to watch.
Beyond the romance, I absolutely loved the strong family support system from both sides. Josie’s friends are also incredible; they are always there for her and are the perfect sounding boards to help her stay reasonable when navigating Wyatt's situation.
Speaking of situations, Buck’s storyline was so incredibly heavy and difficult to read. Losing a family member is always hard, but watching someone slip away little by little while they are still physically alive is a completely different, profound level of grief. It was handled beautifully, but it absolutely broke me by the end.
I kept waiting for the typical "third act breakup" or a massive, dramatic fight between Josie and Wyatt, and I am honestly so glad it never came lol! It was refreshing to see them handle things differently.
I truly loved this book so much, and I would give absolutely anything to experience it again for the very first time.

The only thing I knew about Wild With You going in was that it featured a nemesis-like relationship between the main characters. Naturally, I expected lots of banter, plenty of spice, and a fast-moving romance.
What I didn't expect was the slow burn.
And oh, how it burned.
One of my favorite things about this book was that it took its time. We really got to know the characters, their motivations, their insecurities, and the lives they had built before finding their way to each other. The banter was absolutely there, as was the chemistry, but the slower pace allowed the relationships and emotions to develop naturally.
I also adored the found family aspect of the story. Those relationships added so much warmth and heart, making Moon River Ranch feel like a place I'd happily spend more time in. And as someone who is an absolute sucker for cowboy romances, the ranch setting was a huge bonus.
The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating for me was that I wished there had been more scenes between Wyatt and Josie. By the end, I loved them individually, but I wanted a few more moments that really showcased their connection and made me fully feel that spark between them.

One thing I absolutely loved right from the start was the author's recap of the first book, along with the quick reminders about the returning characters. It was the perfect refresher before diving in, and I wish more series included something like this!
Wyatt has been crushing on Josie since they were kids, but unfortunately, he didn't exactly know how to show it back then. His teasing left Josie with little patience for him as an adult. When she takes a summer job nannying for Wyatt's brother to save enough money to leave town, Wyatt sees it as the perfect opportunity to prove he's no longer the immature boy she remembers.
Josie was such a strong heroine, and I loved that she stayed true to herself instead of falling for Wyatt right away. She challenged him, made him earn every bit of her trust, which made their relationship feel genuine and believable. Wyatt, meanwhile, was the ultimate green flag. His unwavering devotion to both Josie and his family made him impossible not to love.
This book delivers so many fantastic tropes, adorable kids, laugh out loud funny banter, and group chats that had me grinning. But beyond the romance, it's a story with so much heart. Watching Wyatt and Josie work through grief, old hurts, and years of misunderstandings created a relationship that felt deeply earned. Their journey had me smiling, laughing, and tearing up along the way. I can't wait to see where this series goes next!

After reading Found With You, I was excited to dive back into this world, and Wild With You did not disappoint. This small-town ranch romance delivered plenty of heart, tension, and swoon-worthy moments while giving us a relationship that felt both frustrating and incredibly rewarding to watch unfold.

This was so fun and a great summer read 🤠
I loved Wyatt & Josie! There’s just something about opposites attract and black cat x golden retriever trope that makes for an exciting romance book! I loved how hopelessly in love Wyatt was from the get-go. And he is most definitely NOT subtle about it 😂 He’s honestly one of the most perfect and swoon-worthy cowboys I’ve read. He’s sweet, thoughtful, and a caring funcle too!
Josie, on the other hand, is suspicious and resentful (for good reason) of Wyatt. So I loved how he committed to her, showing her all the ways in which he’s always cares for her. Both characters had personal journeys to go through as well. Wyatt with his ailing father and Josie with her past trauma and future goals. This made for a very endearing aspect to the book.
All in all, I really loved this book. But truthfully, like with the first book, I think certain parts could have been expanded on more. I think this author writes amazingly and has great characters. My only critique is that I want more!! 😂😂

I loved this book before it even began. Lynsey led it off with a series summary, pointing out key characters, places and timelines. This was a very nice refresher for those of us who have read the first book of the series, Found With You. I also loved that it gave readers the opportunity to skip over it if they didn't want spoilers from the last book.
As someone who has family with Alzheimer's, reading about it is always close to my heart. So when I discovered that Wyatt's dad had this disease, I immediately became emotionally invested. I believe this sensitive topic was written beautifully.
Both Wyatt and Josie are dealing with grief in their own way, and both of them have battles to overcome regarding it. Along the way they migrated from childhood enemies, to friends with benefits, and eventually to lovers. I really enjoyed that their stories encompassed their feelings, thoughts, fears and their future plans, and that they gradually realize that their future is together.
Overall, this was such a lovely story that I could not put down. I inhaled it in just a single day, and I hope that another book in the series follows soon, because I need more from this fictional small town.

Childhood Enemies / Hate to Love / Grief and Loss
To start I need to acknowledge the absolute legend Lynsey is. She reviewed all the characters, locations, and more at the beginning of the book. It was the perfect way to return to this world. When I say I devoured this book, I mean it. The lust between Josie and Wyatt is insane. All the little moments between these two were perfect. Do I like that Wyatt falls into the childhood embarrass her means I like her trope, no but DANG does the dude repay her for all his wrong doings. This book is fun and exciting as much as it is raw and heartbreaking. Hearing about the family patriarchs low decline from his degenerative disease broke me. Then seeing the fracture lines within the family stemming from it is even worse. I appecitste the way Lynsey didn’t stray away from the hard truths. She does this will many topics in her books. She write scenes about periods that make most people go “ya I’ve been there”. She creates characters that are so broken themselves they can’t see themselves breaking down. I love these characters. There are so many stories just primed and ready to write I cannot wait. Side note: don’t read the epilogue in public……you’ll be a blubbering mess and cry in public for sure.

They have such chemistry and pure banter from the start and it is so sweet. There is a lot of emotional love behind both these characters and it is very well reflected throughout.
When Wyatt takes care of Josie when she was absolutely down and feeling miserable about her time of the month. It was so wonderful to see him handle the situation and just not at all be bothered about something that a lot of men would avoid.
The ranch & family aspect also makes this book special. I love when side characters actually add something special to a book. Lynsey absolutely did them justice

This book had EVERYTHING I love in a romance.
Wyatt is a complete sweetheart, a massive yearner, and exactly the kind of man who makes you kick your feet and smile like an idiot. But also will happily stir the pot.
Josie was the perfect spunky and snarky black cat type. From the first moment I was introduced to her I was like “oh yeah, this one’s got a fire in her!”
Beyond the romance, this story had so much heart.
From grief and loss, to navigating alzheimers and the impact it has on families. It was all handled so beautifully and with such care & compassion.
The history of Chuck & Edith, and their Moon River Ranch had me near tears, and the love that built their family made this story feel incredibly emotional and grounded.
I’ve read it in a couple cowboy romances now, but I love the themes of healing, mental health, and equine therapy woven throughout the story. It’s something I really respect and something I’m deeply interested in learning more about.
This may have been my first book I’ve read by Lynsey but I can say with certainty it won’t be the last. She had me giggling, blushing, aching and had me falling HARD for these characters.
If you love cowboy romance, yearning heroes, strong heroines, found family, and a story that will make you want to move to a ranch and find yourself a cowboy who calls you darlin’… this one is for you. ❤️🔥🐴

I feel like this book pretty much sums up why I like to stick to sports romance. There was so much wrong here.
1. The relationship made 0 sense. Wyatt and Josie went from hating one another (though really it was one sided) to madly in love out of nowhere. There was 0 developing that we got to see or understand.
2. The storyline kind of made 0 sense as well. Why was she even nannying and why didn’t we really get to see it?
3. The spice. I don’t know why but it just gave me the ick.
4. I fear this could have benefited from flashback scenes and wished the author took her time with this story. It was far too short and not constructed very well.
5. SPOILER. Them wanting to move to Australia felt like it came from left field.
6. Josie was insufferable. Wyatt deserved better.
I had a friend let me borrow her kindle and the cover of this snagged my eye but unfortunately I just don’t think the whole small town romance is for me. They are just never long enough to connect with the characters and story and this was the perfect example of it.

This is my honest review of an Advance Review Copy received from the author, Wyatt and Josie have never gotten along - he spent as much time as humanly possible winding her up and humiliating her as a kid and she still hasn't forgiven him for being a massive pain in her backside! Turns out Wyatt was just trying to get Josie to pay him some attention (be warned this is a VERY risky strategy best avoided but what's done is done!!) Anyway, Josie ends up living and working on the ranch where Wyatt and his family live over the summer to help out with his niece and nephew while everybody is rushed off their feet running the ranch and sorting out a new dancehall on the property. Can Wyatt show Josie how much he has changed since they were younger and prove that he is somebody worth keeping around?
I absolutely loved this - such a perfect blend of laughing, crying and kicking my feet in the air. The epilogue - good god prepare yourselves and have tissues handy!

Wild With You by Lynsey Harper is a heartwarming small-town romance that perfectly balanced emotional depth, chemistry, and the charm of life on a Canadian ranch.
