Supernatural Battle: Demon Peaks #2
Wrath Curse
“What happened?”
I’m sick of asking the question, but the last thing I remember is trying to fool the mating magic during the fourth ritual with the demon king. Clearly, I failed. Maybe because I intend to kill him?
In the wake of ritual I feel… different. My single-minded drive to save my son becomes less important with each passing day. But when I’m captured by my savage mother-in-law, I learn that a four-legged nismus is hiding more than a toddler with an empty cookie jar.
Turns out I’m nothing more than a buzzing mosquito to the two ancient cults I’ve stumbled upon. Their war has everything to do with the supernatural battle playing out between four races. The chaos that each of us barely scraped through has always been part of a bigger game. And in this age-old game between ancients, we’re the pawns.
More than ever, Carmine needs to end up ash and bone, and as the walls close in, I really could do with a plan. Any plan. Or will the solution only become clear when four supernatural races combine under a common goal? Or perhaps when I’m brave enough to admit that my mating has never been entirely as it seems.

I love me some Kelly St Clare, but for me, this series is tonally just a bit off? Maybe I just don’t vibe with the demons. Slight let down, because I LOVED Basilia’s and Andie’s stories. I did struggle a bit with Tempest’s, and again with Syera’s. Love the fully into motherhood angle, because that isn’t often explored in smut. But **SPOILERS** demonic possession doesn’t hold up as a defense in court, and it doesn’t hold up as a defense for Carmine’s actions to me. But the voice is fun, as is a hallmark of Kelly St. Clare’s writing. Not my favorite, but I can see a lot of people LOVING this

This is the 11th installment of the Supernatural Battle series and the 2nd book in the Demon world. We have only one more left after this and the world is complete. I’m in denial. Kind of like Syera.
I was gifted an ARC by Kelly, and I’m seriously honored to have been a part of this incredible world.
Every book of Kelly’s is amazing, but there is something about book two in all of her series I have ever read, that just sucks me in. This is no different.
Syera is doing everything she can to protect her son and on the way to achieving her goals, she makes a friend. Watching that bloom was fantastic, as it is a demon friendship. And since she has been in the demon world so much, she kind of creates that friendship in a demon way.
We saw Syera be cunning in multiple areas. Which is what I assume a demon queen would possibly behave. She is a natural at it, and I think that shocks her a bit.
We see some history, get some answers, and feel conflicted about the goals and choices she wants.
This book has everyone in it, and I was so excited to see it. I feel there was an unnecessary death, as I had hoped the character got a bit of a solid role. A redemption arc at some point? I don’t know. It is what it is, but since this is the 2nd to last book. I was thrilled to get some solid amount of coverage of all of them.
There was one aspect to this book that was different. In all of the books, there was a game. Something to divide and cause issues. Those games fed the demons in some way, and in this installment, it was briefly mention. This is the only book with no game. Unless you look at Syera being in survival mode and manipulating as a game? I don’t, but I found it interesting that the arena wasn’t “in play” more.
I do really hope there is more explanation on why each game was created and by who. Just a deeper understanding since each 3 book series in this world focused on the games so so much.
Book 2 is my favorite so far. And I am excited for the 3rd. Even though I’m not ready for it to end, I’m ready for the finally!

Thank you so much Kelly St. Clare for sending me this ARC!
Wrath Curse is the second book in a Romantic Fantasy trilogy and my expectations were high after how incredible the first book was but I can honestly say this book lived up to them, this story is so interesting and I already can’t wait for book 3!
This book starts shortly after the ending of book one and I loved coming back to this fascinating world, the demons’ customs and magic are really interesting and I enjoyed learning more about them and the plot was perfectly paced, we got to know more about the characters and their relationships but there were also so many secrets, revelations, hidden agendas and plot twists I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting. Syera continues to be the badass FMC I came to adore in book 1, she is really strong and cunning, but ultimately she is a mother wiling to do anything for her son. Carmine is still a morally black asshole I loved to hate, he did so many unforgivable things and I totally understand the way Syera felt about him, but we also got to see some glimpses about other side of him that made me really curious and so excited about the next book. Their relationship is truly unconventional and one of the most unique I’ve read about and that’s what makes me love them even more, they continue to be enemies with complicated feelings about each other and so much tension and angst it was palpable (I literally don’t know whether to root fot them to find a way to be together or finally kill each other lol), I can’t wait to see how their relationship progresses in the next book and I already know it’s going to be epic. I also loved seeing so many side characters, both from the first book and some surprise appearances from the author’s other books.
Wrath Curse is an amazing continuation to this incredible series, I absolutely loved it and recommend this series to everyone. Book 3 can’t come soon enough!

If Kelly St Clair dropped us into it at the end of Crave Arena, opening Wrath Curse, she stirs that pot into a fine, frothy, frenzy. Just for funsies.
The stakes are higher and the costs are heavy as Book Two of Supernatural Battle Series final trilogy opens. Recovering from being mostly dead, Syera realizes that time has been lost and Carmine has been making inroads with strikes against the Coven and other supernaturals.
Realization comes to her that she not only has to step up, but she also has to manipulate the demon court, the military, her mother and sister in law, as well as Carmine. And while pressing forward with a war on all fronts, she is confronted with information that leads her to a discovery that upends everthing she knows about the curse.
This book grabs you and pulls you in. Not only is it high stakes for all these characters we've come to love, but for us as well. I laughed. And I cried. I promise you, you will as well. And the depths to this plot, the twists and turns, and everthing you thought you had figured out, let's just say, it's all that and more of what you've come to expect from Kelly St.Clare.
I'm already counting days until the grand finale of the Supernatural Battle Series. It's going to be an epic ride.

A good sequel to Crave Arena, the lore expansion continues in this one along with the relationship building between all of the characters setting up the next novel. Syera is a good character both good hearted but tough, a perfect blend of her magi and demon sides, with her love and devotion to her son her biggest strength. Once again, I feel like this is closer to a dark romance versus a regular paranormal romance series which surprised me considering the previous novels in this world which felt lighter. It's not all doom and gloom though and some of my favorite moments are when we see the intermingling of characters from previous series and the humor displayed.
My biggest gripe is once again the romance which has always been damaged due to their traumatic past and it does not draw me in as much compared to the previous couples. This book also felt very lore dumpy with the amount of information presented and names to remember so the momentum sometimes felt stalled.
I am greatly looking forward to the final book because the ending very much sets up a shift in dynamics and goals which feels exciting. I have loved this world and series of books and would recommend to all paranormal romance lovers.

⚜️ Author - Kelly St. Clare
⚜️ Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⚜️ Some Genre/Themes/Tropes: Adult Fiction, Romance and Fantasy
I received an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book via the author. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is my honest review.
This was filled with some epic high stakes goodness as we dive straight back into where the last book ended.
Seyra is building up to be another incredible character. There is a lot of strength and growth as she faces the challenges around her. I’m so damn curious how the Carmine dynamic will pan out.
I also love the crossovers of previous characters in the Supernatural battle universe. I know already I’m gonna cry when this series wraps up. 😭
I would recommend this book to others. I will be waiting anxiously for the next book and definitely will look for other books written by this author.
I want to say thank you to the author for the ARC.
Note (How I rate): One is DNF. Two is got there but struggled. Three stars is a good, enjoyable read. Four is an excellent read and five is a comfort read that lingers with me for life. My five stars can be imperfect but to me they hit right.

The best game yet!! What really grabbed me are the contrasting journeys of Syera and Carmine. You feel for Syera as she tries to understand her fated path, dealing with all that uncertainty and finding herself along the way. Then you have Carmine, who seems to know way more than he lets on, grappling with the heavy burden of foresight. Their individual struggles to accept what’s coming, especially with all the big secrets they’re each holding onto, creates such amazing, heartfelt tension.!
Oh, and the way the magus, luthers, and vissimos are all coming together? That alliance is absolutely epic! Watching these distinct groups, each with their unique strengths and perspectives, unite has been one of my favorite parts. It's so dynamic and fascinating to see unfold.
The stakes, though? They feel incredibly high! We’re literally talking about the fate of an entire world hanging in the balance. It really makes you wonder: what profound sacrifices, both personal and for the greater good, will they have to make to ensure its survival? It’s a powerful question that keeps me thinking long after I've put it down.

I've just finished Wrath Curse: Supernatural Battle (Demon Peaks) by Kelly St. Clare, and I am already clamoring for the next book. This is the 2nd book in the Demon Peaks series, but is part of the larger Supernatural Battles series, which gives us the background on Vissimo (vampires) and Luthers (werewolves), and tells us of the demon designed games they've played up until this point. The story arc is broad and complex, and the world building is immaculate. While you could read this book as a stand alone, you would be missing huge chunks of the story and probably wouldn't enjoy this very much.
This book sees Syera embracing her demon more and more while seeking to protect what is most precious to her. She grows as a demon queen and I am loving her! We learn more of Carmine and his reasons for being the way that he is. It's intriguing and there's definitely enough to bring you back for the ending of this trilogy and the overall set. I recommend this book fully and can't wait to reach the final book!

Kelly you bloody did it again!!! Wrath Curse sucked me in and spat me out in the best way.
Wrath Curse is book 2 of the final trilogy (The Demons Story) in the Supernatural Battle series and world.
Seyra is deeper on her path of saving her son from a fate that Demon’s believe is normal and the way of things.
She’s mates to Carmine, but honestly, there couldn’t be anyone worse as a match.
This book kept me on my toes wandering what the actual F is going to be the ending of this story.
Because honestly, I am emotionally wrecked and don’t know what’s going to happen!
I was so lucky to get an ARC copy, and I was a bit delayed in starting, but I finished it today on RELEASE DAY!!!
Wrath Curse is releasing 29 March USA time, so make sure you give it a read.
Plus, soak up the previous 3 trilogies in the supernatural battle world (9 books that I read in two weeks 😅🤪).
Kiwi author. Epic story. Excellent humour. Best series.

This continues to be a really great series. It makes me want to read the other books since it’s tying everything together. I did get a little bored after book one of Basil’s story. Maybe I’ll try Andi next instead. I really like Syera. I think her journey and even her side quests (like baiting her SIL about her mating) were so fun. She’s badass but has a good heart and it’s fun to watch her win in calculated ways versus just beating everyone to a pulp.
I also think the branding of this book and others too leaves a lot to be desired. Literally the cover is so bad but the book is great!
I wouldn’t really say book one was a romance per se and book two starts to introduce the romance gently, almost as star-crossed. It was a really good cliffhanger and I’ll be interested to see how it concludes!

Book 2 in the Demon Peaks series and things are heating up! The story picks up right where book 1 ended and never really lets up. This installment is twisty, turn-y and I loved it! Syera and Carmine remain locked in battle and major secrets are revealed in this book. It’s so, so good. We see more from the Vissimo, Luthers, and Magus as they team up to defeat the demon army and end the battle with the demons once and for all. We see Syera and Tempest finally reunited and the hope for happy ever after for all remains, though tenuous for poor Syera. The Supernatural Battle is almost done and I can’t wait to read the final book to see how this ultimate game plays out. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and I can’t believe the end is near!

This book had me in so many feels. Kelly did not disappoint in bringing all the emotions into this book. She excels at writing strong female characters who build amazing friendships and/or familial bonds and this book explores the highs and lows of many of these relationships. Syera is a complicated heroine but her love for her family always remans at the center of everything she does. Carmine is the guy that everyone loves to hate but there is so much more to his story and we discover a bit of it in this book. Please do yourself a favor and read the Supernatural Battle saga in order. It’s worth it- trust me. This book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger but it’s expected at this point in the story. Book 3 will be here soon! I cannot recommend this book series enough!

I was lucky enough to get a copy of this beauty as an advanced reader and it did not disappoint!
It picks right back up where book one leaves us on that cliff hanger. We get to explore more about the mating rituals and understanding the history between our two main characters. Lots of world building to help us get a better understanding of what is to come in book 3.
We get to see some beautiful moments shared between our female main character and her energy to lover in addition to her making her first official friend.
Definitely worth the read if you love in depth fantasy romance. Kelly just has a way with telling a story to capture your interest and emotions!

I am still reeling from my change of heart...
How does Kelly St Clare do it?
After reading book one, I was firmly routing for King Carmine to be killed. Hopefully dramatically, viscously, painfully and over an extended period.
After devouring book two, I'm hoping they are actually star crossed lovers with a happy ever after in book three.
I really thought "this lady was not for turning" but I'm still spinning...
I just couldn"t put this book down.
Everything is explained and for an added treat we get to meet the main characters from the previous books. It all merges together seamlessly.
I can't wait to read the final book.

What a fantastic second installment!
It's always hard to write reviews of the second in a series without giving away too many spoilers, but I think this is even better than the first.
Seyra is such a steadfast character and one you totally root for. Carmine is still an absolute bastard, and I spent most of the book convinced there was no way these two could even have a glimmer of hope of a HEA. However, I should never have doubted the master and I LOVED the set up for the final book.
It was also great to see Tempest and the characters from the other books!
I highly recommend this book and all of the series that are connected to it.

OH?!??! The intensity of this book with all the fighting, the secrets and the agony of heartbreaking love. The love for what could be, the love of a mother, of a child and of past that can't be changed. Be prepared for your heart to feel like it is shattering some many times but the pieces keep pulling back like a magnet and that goes for Syera and Carmine as well. I loved this and the last bit of the book had me on the edge hoping I didn't need to through my tablet with the ending but instead it was relief and a plea for a character redemption that I didn't know that I needed. This next book can not get her fast enough. I am ready for this couple to steal my heart.

☆☆☆☆.5
4.5 rounded up to 5.
After finishing the first one, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second. I was in a book slump when I received this one and it definitely took me time to be able to give this the energy it deserved.
We get to learn more about the history of the demon society and the current hierarchical system they live in. Then we finally get insight in to the demon king and understand more of why they are like that. I enjoyed the fleshing out of the world with gaining insight into the other races. I liked watching the FMC powers grow and how she builds relationships with other demons and starts to come out of her shell more.

The book picks up right where the previous one left off. In this book, we see a bit more about the relationship between Syera and Carmine, and his mother.
We see how what we thought we knew wasn't quite what we expected. The plot gets increasingly convoluted, but at the same time, we learn more about the past and what's happening in everyone's lives.
We finally got to see a reunion between characters that I'd been eagerly anticipating. It was fun to watch, but at the same time, I need more of it.
The "romance" is there, but it's not really there. There's something there that leaves you unsure what to make of it, and I just want a redemption arc for Carmine, but at the same time, I don't know what to think.
I can't believe this is the second to last book in this saga that I've loved for so long.
I need the last book, and yet I don't. I don't want this to end.

I am devastated that this is only a trilogy!! I could read about this world for a good long while. The unique dark humour of Syera perfectly complemented the demon world she’s come to be a part of. This is not the type of tale where everyone gets to live their happily ever after, and I think that adds a realness to it, but also stress! There’s just enough doubt that people will survive to keep me on the edge of my seat. Great character development and world building as always.
Eagerly awaiting book 3!

This is the second book in this trilogy, and it delivers everything I’ve come to love about this world: high stakes, compelling characters, and that addictive blend of tension and emotion that makes it impossible to put down.
As someone who has genuinely loved every book in the Supernatural Battle Series, I can confidently say this one holds its own, and might even be my favorite yet. If you’re already a fan of the series, you won’t be disappointed.
I’m already counting down to the next installment.

Beyond Star Crossed 😉💗
This exciting installment kept me on my toes. It was jam packed with action, lots of intrigue thanks to Syera (our smart + feisty FMC), and of course oodles of twists + adrenaline. Not all is as it seems, and she's just the gal to figure out all the layers *cough* Tiers, to help everyone. So many lives are on the line. Family reunions, new friends made, new family chosen, and mind games per usual to survive on the daily. So are the days of our lives lol. Family is strangely a major through line in this amazing read. That of the past, present, future. Family by genes. Or one you choose. They are all represented strongly within these pages. These characters are shining with colors and dimensions. The world building within is just beyond! You feel as though you are instantly transported. They have all captured my heart, and I can't wait to see what's next! This adrenaline packed adventure definitely gets two thumbs up!!

I cannot get enough
I freaking love love love this world. Everytime I think I won't love another installment of Supernatural Battle I am wrong and I couldn't be happier about it. I love the secrets, the love, the mystery and tension surrounding the characters. I cannot wait to see how this storyline and the overall story arc end in the last book which I have already preordered.

We continue with Syera and Carmines journey through mating and life. Carmine needs to die, possibly. Syera takes us through one heck of a roller coaster ride and I’m here for it! This does end in a cliffhanger but don’t let that stop you as the next one will be out before you know it and you have others in this world that you can read if you haven’t already. Loved it and can’t wait for the finale!

Wrath Curse is an exciting story filled with many twists and turns as Syera finds her way through her mission to keepher son safe. This world is fascinating. The magical lore is quite interesting. I've enjoyed Syera's journey of discovery. The action is fantastic. The Supernatural Battle has begun. The Magus, Luthers, and Vissimo fight the Demons. There is one more book in this trilogy. I can hardly wait for the epic conclusion.

OMG we pick up from where we left off and it just does not stop. The world building continues to enthrall and amaze and the storyline is gripping and intense and holds you to the edge of your seat as we continue to follow these incredible characters on their rollercoaster journey! An incredible read full of secrets and twists and turns and the stakes are raised even higher than before as we make our way to the finale.

Book 2 takes place right where book 1 leaves off, with what happened after they completed the next mating ritual. This book is heavy on the world building, in learning why the demon kings are the way they are. I actually really enjoyed the cliffhanger and am looking forward to where we have book 3 go

The history this book takes you through is astounding. It deep dives into things that made me think differently about what I read from the first book and how I looked at the characters. From the children to bringing in other characters from other series, the depth is amazing! I had to read it several times. Amazing work. Can’t wait for the third one!

Wow this is such a good series. I crave the last book but don’t want it either since that will mean the end.
Man the complexity of these relationships and everything they have gone through 😮💨 it’s a lot.
That ending made me want to throw my tablet, but i restrained myself (barely)
Can’t wait to read the next one and see where this author takes us!
