History didn’t record what really happened at Roswell. That was no accident. In July 1947, something crashed outside a remote New Mexico town. The Army called it weather debris. Witnesses knew better.
Rachel Hunt is a time traveler hired by millionaire Kane Kelly to find out what happened to his mother—an Army nurse who disappeared near Roswell in 1947, when Kane was three years old. But when Rachel is sent back on a covert mission, she discovers the truth is far more dangerous than the myth. The military is already moving, witnesses are being silenced, and one woman—Maggie Shaw—has seen a secret she was never meant to see.
As Rachel races against a tightening military net, she must decide whether to follow protocol or break every rule she lives by. Saving Maggie could change history. Leaving her behind could destroy Rachel’s conscience.
The closer Rachel gets to the truth, the clearer it The Roswell incident wasn’t just covered up. It was contained.
The secrets surrounding it are worth killing for.
Someone is watching Rachel very carefully.
Time Roswell blends real historical figures, classified military operations, and high-stakes time travel into a cinematic thriller where every decision has consequences—and the past fights back.
History is fragile. Time is dangerous. And Roswell was only the beginning.

FRONT PAGE NEWS...FOO FIGHTERS HAVE LANDED & ARE VERIFIED TO EXIST. E.T. HAS IS HERE. THE GOVERNMENT COVER UP BEGINS
Time Risk 4: Roswell: A Time Travel Mystery and Historical Adventure (Book 4 of the Time Risk Series) by Elyse Douglas is a spellbinding tale of a time traveler who sets out to see if she can find answers to the disappearance of their client's mother who disappeared right in the middle of one of the biggest cover-ups in U.S. history, that's if you believe the crash of a UFO is Roswell, New Mexico actually happened.
To tell you how little I know about the so-called Roswell incident, the crash site wasn't in Roswell. It was outside a little town called Clovis, New Mexico about seventy-five miles from Roswell on the Foster Ranch. With all the different people who reported the crash of something that was definitely unable to be identified by most of the folks involved and that includes everyone from local residents of the area, local law enforcement, and local military officers. With the military stating right off the bat that the debris that was found was indeed that of an alien flying spacecraft and then days later that they misspoke and what was actually found was part of a weather balloon that had crashed. Whatever your beliefs are, you are not alone. Whether you believe that it was a weather balloon that crashed or that it truly was a spacecraft, there still are a lot of unanswered questions and what appears to be a serious cover up, threats from our government for people both within the military and that of the local residents to keep their mouths shut about what they'd seen, heard, and or what they believe.
This book is a fictional story of a very confusing and if you were anywhere close to Clovis or Roswell, a very scary time just coming out of the second world war, with the start of the Cold War with the Soviets, and shy of a decade after H.G. Wells's 'War of the Worlds' broadcast that scared the hell out of a lot of listeners during his famous Halloween radio broadcast. That being said, Elyse Douglas has brought together an interesting cast of characters both fictional and non-functional to life on the pages in a way that will keep you on the edge of your seat to find out if Rachel Hunt will save the day again during her fourth expedition into traveling through time to obtain answers or save lives.
This being the fourth book in this series, you could pickup any of the four books a enjoy a great story even if you were to read them out of order, but I would highly recommend that you read them in the order in which they were written so some of the things in which happened in the previous books make more sense to you in this fourth installment. I will let you know that Elyse Douglas left the door wide open for additional books in this series, which I can tell you honestly, that I was glad to read that Rachel, Sinclair, Mike, Hazel, Finn, Hikaru, and a number of other characters along with a couple of new characters will be around and come to life again in a future book or books.
Quotes: “You'd stick out like a drug dealer in a convent.”
Another great installment in the "Time Risk" series by this writing duo. In my opinion, these novels could be made into a fantastic TV series. I couldn't put it down.
As usual, the husband and wife team, Elyse Douglas, hit the nail on the head. It will leave you hanging at the and and anxious for the next installment!
I so didn't want this book to end. However, based on the abrupt ending there is a new book to come sometime soon I hope. About Dallas 1963. Can't wait! I have been so enjoying this Time Risk series and I love the characters. Rachel Hunt is an amazing strong character. I have loved all the time travel books by The ElyseI Douglas duo, but especially the series driven ones as you always want more when you come to the end of a book.
I’ve really like all of Elyse Douglas’s time travel books, but this on was my favorite. She tells a really good story, with great descriptions and images that made me feel like I was there, in 1940’s Roswell. I also love the character development. She clearly does her historical research and these books are full of adventure and and captivating mystery.
Really engaging and very true to the events, government coverup and questions today. I’ve been to Roswell. I like the lead character. A strong but decent woman that struggles sometimes but stays on task. It’s do much more than a Sci Fi story that are not grounded in human situations. Rachel always has a positive reason to time travel but the situations are always fascinating.
I love the Time Risk series with Rachel Hunt! As soon as a new book in the series comes out I drop the current book I may be reading to read the next Rachel Hunt adventure! Every book makes me feel like I’m right there with Rachel experiencing Pearl Harbor, the Titanic, Amelia Earhart and Roswell.
I have come to enjoy this series, and the affinity for Rachel just keeps growing. I highly recommend Douglas. She writes in a style that delivers a punch and keeps it entertaining.
