In the slums of India and with both parents deceased, Aasha is the sole provider for her younger brother. At twelve, finding work proves difficult, but Aasha's tenacious spirit finally secures her a day job. Nothing prepares her for the turn of events, when she becomes India's next sex-trafficked victim. As she fumbles through the hope of escape or rescue, she forms bonds with the other victimized girls. She navigates through trusting and doubting Hindu gods and goddesses and the Christian God until she believes she found her purpose in finding freedom.
