Sex is an addiction for some people. Not for Addison. She used it to forget.

Addison wasn’t careless, though, she made sure it was safe. The online site she used required both parties to have a safe word that would stop things at any point.

Addison knew hooking up with strangers was dangerous, but she felt it was the only way she could lose herself, because she couldn’t stand her life anymore.
Her trysts let her forget her past — and she had so much to forget.

Then one night she met up with the wrong man.

And her life turned into a living hell.

But he didn’t know her. He didn’t know what Addison was capable of….

Another cleverly written thriller by Victoria Hicks with a twist that caught me by surprise!

Through exceptional story telling, you can't help but be drawn into feeling deeply for Addison, cheering her on, and shedding tears of despair. The author manages to draw you right in to the horror that's unfolding, without the need for graphic or shocking detail.

Addison is the survivor and the fighter that we all hope lives inside us when we are faced with the struggle of our lives - and she's blessed with a bestie we all would be lucky to have - caring, pushy, intuitive, sassy!

The FMC is strong and tough. She is trying to deal with a tragedy that happened years prior, the only way she knows how. The suspenseful part of this book was really exciting. The trauma the MMC put her through was truly terrifying and devastating. I couldn’t wait to turn the pages to see what happened next. And, holy smokes! There was the biggest plot twist that I did not see coming towards the end. I was so surprised. I love the way the author wrote paragraphs that were not lengthy and short chapters. I also loved the many POVs. It helped the flow of the novel. This book was easy to follow and moved at a quick pace. I felt so bad for the FMC, that I teared up a few times. She was determined to succeed in making things happen for herself. Check the TWs for this book. There are a lot of them. I would definitely recommend this book.

Excellent quick read with a plot twist you will not see coming! There are some sensitive topics in the book but the author does a good job of balancing between too graphic and not graphic enough, giving the reader a vivid idea of the scene. I like that the characters are kept to a minimum and also that they are not overly complicated.
