3.75stars— SPROG is the seventh instalment in Summer Winters’ contemporary, adult BLACK SAINTS MC : PORTLAND erotic, MC romance series. This is Austin ‘Sprog’ Mitchell, and Dr. Savannah’s story line. SPROG can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sprog and Savannah) covering ten years in the life, SPROG focuses on the breakdown and rebuilding of the relationship between Austin ‘Sprog’ Mitchell, and Dr. Savannah’s story line. Ten years earlier, Savannah was making preparations for med school, while Austin Mitchell had a future with the Black Saints MC but Austin didn’t want to force Savannah to choose, and made the choice for her. Fast forward to present day, Savannah has returned to her hometown as the new doctor, where she will come face to face with her past in the guise of Austin ‘Sprog’ Mitchell, now a patched in member of the Black Saints MC, and a single father of nine year old EJ. There is a war encroaching for turf, and the Black Saints MC are the targets.

The world building focuses on the protection of the woman and children as another MC takes aim at the Black Saints MC. As Savannah settles into her new life, the past comes crashing back in, revealing there is more to this story as to who,how and why.

The relationship between Savannah and Sprog is one of second chances. Sprog purposely pushed the woman he loved out of his life but never forgot the pain and heartbreak of what happened ten years earlier. Determined to prove he is worthy of a second chance, Sprog goes on the offensive, seducing the woman he never forgot, a woman who quickly forgives the man who broke her heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

The secondary and supporting characters are familiar and energetic including the return of the members of the Black Saints MC: Portland, as well as the introduction of several club prospects.

SPROG is a story of secrets, lies and betrayal; family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is entertaining and captivating but most of the conflict resolution takes place behind the scenes; the romance is impassioned; the characters are determined and dynamic.

This is the 7th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Austin / Sprog and Savannah’s story.
Austin and Savannah were childhood sweethearts, until he shattered her heart to save her future, and she leaves to go to medical school. Now 10-years later Savannah is back in town for a fresh start and works in the surgery. Austin is a single dad to his 8-year-old son EJ, and he is convinced that he did the right thing in letting Savannah go. Savannah saved EJ when he is brought into her surgery after being shot.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, drama, heartbreak, determination, challenges, loyalty, forced proximity, second chances, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This was a quick read that was emotional and at times I would find myself aggravated at the characters and then other times I loved the bond betweenthem. Do I think Sprog was an idiot for the way he handled trying to push Sav towards a better future, yes I did. He broke his heart, her heart, and mine while reading it and I think he could of at least pretending for the sake of pushing her away. Savannah and Austin's connection ran deep but I liked that we got more of Sav with his son because it showed how deep Sav loved them. At times the story repeated itself drawing things out but I did overall like the storyline.

This was a quick read with some drama. Austin is clueless and thinks he knows what he's doing but he doesn't. Summer gets her heartbroken and leaves for Med School exactly like he wants. He has many bumps along the way but he does alot of growing and becomes someone pretty cool. Summer comes back and rocks his world. These two grew up bit never grew apart.

Sav was retarded not in the forgiveness but in the forgetting. Sprog was retarded in the actual sleeping with someone else. He could have easily made it look like not actually put his piece in someone else. I forgive and forget you in equal measures.
