The Wilde Men #2

Ziggy's Voice

Rate this book
Kennedy

I’ve always been the relationship guy.

I love big, hard and fast … but unfortunately for me, that’s the quickest way to make a new romance crash and burn.

Moving to Wilde’s End, our not-so-abandoned town, is exactly the fresh start I need. What’s better than a town in the middle of nowhere and long days of hard work to swear off relationships? At least that’s what I think, until I meet Ziggy.

He’s the town electrician who has a weird habit of making sparks fly whenever I’m around him. He’s cute, snarky, and his piercings are hot as hell.

Too bad I don’t trust myself not to make the same mistakes I always do.

Ziggy

I’ve always been the weird loner. The strange kid who doesn’t talk.

So when Kennedy shows up in my life, with his big energy and sunny personality, I don’t know how to take him. I’m used to being the invisible shadow that goes unnoticed in the Wilde.

Kennedy makes me feel seen.

He doesn’t expect me to talk when the voices in my head get too loud, he doesn’t expect me to be funny or witty or anything that I’m not. He’s happy just to be around me, and that’s not something I’ve experienced before.

He’s sworn off dating. And I’ve never so much as been kissed.

But with the sunshine he brings to my life, it’s impossible to feel like a shadow anymore. I’m determined to win him over, no matter what it takes.

Saxon valuing my opinion on her drafts will always be both intensely humbling and god complex-inducing. I love her. And I love this book.

Seriously, is there anywhere on this goddamn Earth where being sweet and considerate is appreciated?

Awwww. Let’s take the two most adorable and lovable side characters from book one and give them a shared HEA. Cute. Really cute.

Ziggy really, really hates to be ignored. So I guess I’ll have to smother him in attention instead.

“Why haven’t you been smothering me?”

“Ah, I just, I’m trying to be cool. Not jump in too fast.”

“Overwhelm me. Never leave me alone. Be clingy and needy and yourself. Then I get to tell you what I like and what I can handle.”

I’ll be honest here and say that my rating is actually quite generous because I didn’t enjoy it in the end nearly as much as the first book but that stems mostly from this basically being a friends-to-lovers which only very rarely excites me.

I still loved Ziggy and Kennedy. I’m also very curious about Lynx and the new stray Sasha. But I’m also a bit wary of future couples bc that doctor in Wilde’s End? He’s creeping me tf out. *lol

You know, do you ever just want to lose yourself if a fluffy, sweet, wonderful romance story where the two characters are adorable sweethearts who have great chemistry and love each other so fully and are so stinkin' cute together and are amazing towards each other?

Well, if you do, this story is for you.

Kennedy and Ziggy were worth waiting for, because they were absolutely amazing together.

Kennedy is the happy go lucky, sweet and sunshine-y, kind hearted brother of the three brothers who have come to Wilde's End, and he deserves all the love in the world.

It just so happens, he's been unlucky in love for so long, despite his best efforts, that now, just as he meets the love of his life, he's sworn off dating for awhile after he's had his heart broken one too many times...

Of course that's how the timing works out, isn't it?

But Ziggy himself has his own problems. He was verbally and emotionally abused as a child by his parents, so much so that he developed selective mutism, and he rarely ever talks, and only with people he's comfortable with. And even then, he doesn't talk much, even after living with people in Wilde's End for 8 years.

He thinks so badly of himself from being bullied by his parents, and thus kids in school because his parents made him mute and kids made fun of him for that, that he doubts Kennedy will ever see him in a romantic way, even as he's falling for the man.

So Kennedy doesn't let himself go there with Ziggy at first, but of course he can't stop the feelings as they get to know each other more, and Ziggy becomes more and more comfortable with Kennedy in order to be able to talk to him, like really talk to him.

There isn't much plot outside of their romance, aside from a new character getting introduced, Sasha, who was run off the road and then was sneaking around Wilde's End, stealing things without people knowing who it was, before he eventually gets discovered.

But for Kennedy and Ziggy, the main plot was essentially their romance, and it worked - they worked together so well.

They were perfect for each other, because Ziggy needed someone to treat him kindly and sweetly, and who would be patient and loving with him, while Kennedy needed someone who would want his way of romance - which he's been told by others can be a bit too strong, a bit too overbearing or smothering...but Ziggy wants that. He wants someone who wants to spend all their time with him and want to take care of him. He wants ALL of it.

Kennedy tries for a time not to come on strong, per the advice of his brothers - which? Hudson and Hart? Lol neither are that great at relationships, so wrong people to ask. Especially when Ziggy doesn't like Kennedy being more distant and standoff-ish, actually.

This story felt more complete than Hudson and Wilde's too by the end of this. We get a good epilogue that's months into the future and it really worked to get use to these two saying "I love you" and meaning it and it making all the sense in the world.

I believe I remember Hudson and Wilde's epilogue being like them admitting they're falling, but that was it. They had so much more to go to get there than Ziggy and Kennedy. Which, they're different people and have a different type of relationship, so it makes sense, but it was wild to me that Hudson and Wilde didn't even get to the "I love you" stage with their book and even in the beginning of this, Kennedy was skeptical that they were more than just sex, even AFTER Wilde went to the city to get Hudson.

So yeah, two totally different stories and relationships and it just helped that Kennedy and Ziggy's felt so complete and well rounded. They are happy and content and solid, already in their HEA, meanwhile Hudson and Wilde felt more HFN, I'll say.

I can't wait to get more couples in this series. I had a fun time trying to figure the next couples out, because I thought Hart would be next, seeing as he's the last brother, and his LI would be Lynx, but no our next book is about Lynx and his LI, who is Sasha, the sweet guy we meet at the end of this who was hiding in Wilde's End for a few weeks and causing minimal trouble. That will definitely be interesting to see the man who sweeps Lynx of all people off his feet.

Then I thought Hart's LI would be Foley at one point, but nah, his is definitely going to be Rooney, we definitely got a hint at the very end between them. Foley is gonna get with Booker, of all people, which now that I think of it...makes sense, but was also a bit wild and I was like "what?!" when we got a line from Foley about waiting forever for Booker or some shit. LIKE?! OH!

So yeah, definitely excited for the future couples and stories in this series. The first two have definitely been great, especially this one, so I can't wait for more.

Until then! 😘

"Ziggy’s mouth slams against mine. Pleasant surprise shoots through every limb. His lips are soft and at complete odds with the two tiny metal bars digging into my chin. There’s a whole moment where we’re both completely frozen, and then my brain goes offline."

The tales from Wilde’s End continue with Ziggy and Kennedy’s story! This one was SO SWEET and so good 😍 I lovvvve these two!

After moving to Wilde’s end and trying to figure out the locals, while also trying to rebuild, Kennedy and his brothers don’t have it easy. One thing that does brighten up Kennedy’s life is his friendship with the quiet but kind Ziggy. Ziggy has been helping Kenny with the electric, free of charge, and quietly admires Kennedy from afar. This book explores their relationship, while taking us deeper into the atmospheric setting of Wilde’s End!

This book has:
-new friends to lovers
-talks a lot X selectively mute kings
-green flag X green flag couple
-really sweet first times
-emotional connection and communication beyond words
-more unhinged Lynx content

I love this book! The characters were incredibly lovable, and their story was just so sweet. I also adored how much more depth we got with the side characters as well, and this book got me so excited for Lynx’s story!

Before I even picked this book up, I knew that Ziggy would be my favourite character. And I was right! He is such a sweetie, and he is so good. Kennedy also matches him with how sweet and lovely he is, and I just love to see such a perfect couple together. Though they obviously have their own flaws, they are perfect together. 🥲❤️

I can’t wait to see where this series goes. Definitely read book one now so you can read this one when it drops!

Ziggy has never been kissed.
Kennedy swore off dating.

Neither of them stood a chance.

ZIGGY'S VOICE by Saxon James is now live - a tender, spicy small-town M/M romance filled with mutual pining, hurt/comfort, and two men who slowly realize they’re each other’s safe place.

If you love quiet devotion, clingy chaos, and soft hearts with heat… this one’s for you.

5 “It’s taken until this very moment for me to realize that I don’t need a lot. I just need to be loved” stars

He was a steady softness, a slow-burning addiction, the kind that crept into my soul before I knew what was happening and took me by surprise. He’s filled all the darkest corners that I didn’t even know I had, and I’m scared and raw, but so, so ready for this. I’m falling for him. I never want to stop.

I’ve had a very good reading month in January and read a lot of my new favourite books and then I read this book and it totally took over my life. I just could not put this book down and lost a lot of sleep just so I could finish it because it was like I could not do anything else until I finished this one. I don’t really know how to explain it but it’s was like this book was made just for me because if you had to make a list of all my favourite things to read about, this book would have it all.

A romance between two characters that have a lot of trauma in their past and that make the world softer for each other? Check.

A romance that is a little messy at first and they had to learn how to truly listen to each other and what the other needs true trial and errors? Check.

A boat load of yearning from page 1 and two characters that just wanted to be together so much they were ready to do together, even the big scary things? Check.

Characters and a story that gets me so hooked that I spend the entire book crying because I just want the characters to be happy and in love? Check.

The couple dynamic in this book was just so perfect to me. Ziggy has been hurt and discarded a lot in his past and he just wanted someone who would show him that he accepts him and wants to be with him and Kennedy was used to being the guy whose relationships never worked because he got too invested too quickly and it freaked out his possible romantic interests. I just felt like they compliment each other so perfectly and it was a delight to read their interactions. I just loved how their personalities balanced each other out and how they were able to give each other the peace and the stability that they need and never found before. I loved how patient they were with each and how much they just wanna learn the other better and how to be there for them and how to help them when life got though. This book was just so romantic, but also so mature. I just loved the outlook on the start of a relationship after trauma that this book offered, it just very lovely to read about.

First of all, please let’s appreciate how absolutely gorgeous the man on the cover is! 😍 Not usually a fan of model covers, as you know, but this one? Yeah, it's pure perfection! 🥹 It’s just soooo Ziggy! 🥰💙

Okay, this book was so damn cute—very different from book one, in my opinion.

First, there’s Ziggy: this sweet, adorable—virgin—man who struggles a lot with speaking because of past trauma. 😢😢😢 Ziggy is a loner, but he’s also absolutely adorable, brave, and fiery—don’t underestimate him.
Oh, and… he’s pierced, just saying. 😏😏😏
I seriously love him so, so much. 🥹💙

And then there’s Kennedy, one of the three brothers who came to Wilde’s End to rebuild the houses in order to sell them. Kennedy is this happy guy, always smiling—a hopeless romantic who just wants to love and, more than anything, to be loved. He jumps into every relationship a little too… quickly.
He swore he would stop dating. Lol. 😅

I absolutely loved their chemistry. The fact that they just saw each other was beautiful. Even though Ziggy didn’t speak at first, Kennedy had no problem understanding him. Seeing them slowly but surely open up to each other, watching Ziggy relax more and more around Kennedy and allow himself to talk—real words—that was everything. 😭😭💙
They’re just beautiful and perfect for each other. 💙

This book was so sweet—I loved every second of it. The writing is amazing, as always, let’s be honest. 🥰💖

💙 Hates to talk x Talks a lot
💡 Electrician x Builder
💙 Small town
💡 Pierced MC
💙 First everything
💡 Cute idiots

Saxon James is one of my favorite writers, especially when she writes hockey books. This is not a hockey book. It’s still pretty good though. I think I like this book better than the first one in the series because I had a very hard time to like the mc’s. In this book the mc’s are lovely, but also a bit cliche. Especially Kennedy. He’s always happy and he loves hard. And his brothers are also very unlayered. One is a grump, and the other one is a pushover.
Ziggy is a sweetheart with a very complicated background. I did feel like we didn’t get enough information about this complicated background though. There is a flashback scene where he looks for food for a few days in his parents house as a kid. Why? Why isn’t he fed? He runs away at 18, as a fully trained electrician. Why would his dad educate him but not feed him? I understand his father is a horrible person but this did not make sense.

I also still don’t really understand what is going to happen to the town. The brothers keep building, but they also start coupling with the Wildes end crew, and know they’ll be endangering them by selling the houses. That feels like a dead end idea, especially since they don’t make money otherwise.

So I do have complaints about this book. It was very entertaining though. I am looking forward to the next one, and will probably reread the first ones again when it is published. (Although I wonder if the author will be able to keep up with the ambitious publishing schedule she has, now she’s ill, as I read in her newsletter. I hope she has a speedy recovery!)

Anyway, I recommend this book, especially if you don’t need too much realism in your stories.

So very very different than book one and I am here for it!

This is a much sweeter toned narrative, even though it still discusses and deals with the fallout of some pretty series issues including child neglect.

Kennedy is the perfect person to see Ziggy because he's looking for someone to give all the incredible love and feelings he has available and be seen in return.

Ziggy may be quiet but he's not silent and as the friendship grows between them, the more he begins to find the strength to let out his voice once again.

This part of the story was what caught me right in the gut. Ziggy's such a wonderfully crafted character and seeing him slowly gain confidence simply by having someone there waiting to properly hear him, is the driving heart of the story.

He's not alone, as such, the rest of the Wilde's End crew are completely there for him and would do anything, but he's lonely and, as Kennedy shows up more and more, willing to just be there and enjoy his company, he blossoms.

Of course it wouldn't be a Saxon book without some hot and heavy to go with all the emotional feels and she delivers a beautiful sexual exploration for Ziggy, who's never been with anyone or really experienced any kind of loving touch.

I adored both these men so much, the only reason I've not given it the full 5* this time is that I would have liked just a little bit more of them interacting with the rest of the town rather than it kind of segueing into what's going to be the pairing for book three.

Not that I'm objecting to that happening, it's intriguing and going to be a very interesting path to follow, but it just came a bit soon for me after Ziggy and Kennedy had set their stall out as being boyfriends in a relationship.

However, the epilogue is fabulous and went a long way to giving me the kind of content I'd been craving between them out in the bigger world. Loved it.

I went into this book completely blind and did not expect to love it the way I did but I ended up falling head over heels for Kennedy and Ziggy.

Kennedy has sworn off romance because he’s tired of not being valued and feeling like he’s too much. Ziggy, on the other hand, has never been in a relationship and is dealing with his very first crush on someone who has given up on love. The setup alone surprised me, and the execution made me melt.

I loved all the characters main cast, side characters, even Lynx (okay, no, I still have beef with Lynx, but that’s beside the point). The communication in this book was everything. Ziggy, who has selective mutism, finds ways to communicate with Kennedy, and Kennedy who has zero patience learns how to be patient for Ziggy. That growth was beautiful to watch.

This book was soft, sweet, and tender in the best way. I kept blushing for them. Seeing Kennedy finally being appreciated and reassured that he isn’t too much especially with how clingy and careful he is meant everything to me.

My only concern is Kennedy and his brothers (Hunter and Hart). They really need to talk, and I’m hoping that gets addressed later maybe in Hart’s book, which I’m already excited for (even if Lynx comes first).

Overall, I had such a good time with this book. It was cozy, emotional, and full of love. I love love and I love them so much.

I still really like the premise of this series, honestly, who wouldn’t want to buy a whole town with zero residents (or so they think)?

But this installment didn’t land for me the way I hoped. The relationship between the brothers felt more frustrating than compelling, and instead of adding emotional depth, it often pulled me out of the story. I also struggled with the core idea that Kennedy believes there’s something inherently wrong with loving with your whole heart. That theme sits at the center of the book, and it made it hard for me to fully connect with the romance.

And then there’s the ending. I was left confused, why would Ziggy wander off alone into the middle of the woods during a search for an intruder? It felt out of character and more like a plot device than a natural choice.

There were still moments I enjoyed, and the premise continues to be charming, but overall this one didn’t quite work for me.

Oh my, I absolutely loved this book.

Virgin MMC
The Classic ‘One bed’
Pining

Ziggy is so precious, and I love, love, love Kennedy. My only critique is Ziggy’s relationship with his parents confused me, he lived a life in silence and with the fear of engaging with his parents, but at some stage he did his electrician qualification with his dad. Also I think Kennedy could have chosen a better time and place for Ziggy’s ‘first time’, I get that it was in the heat of the moment, but prep the poor lad, geez.

Saxon really never disappoints 🥰

Kennedy and Ziggy have their own special bond, and they connected so deeply in this amazing story. I always have a soft spot for characters like Ziggy, who have a certain past with not-so-lightly experiences. These types of characters usually deserve all the love they can get 💘

This is kind of a friends to lovers story, but since Ziggy is kind of a loner, not quite 🙈 But thankfully, they found each other because both of them needed this love so much 💗

“My emotions are constantly buried, bound into a tight package and hidden so far back in my mind that I can’t focus on them. It’s helped protect me, but it hasn’t helped me live. Kennedy makes me want to live.”

“All I’ve ever wanted was to not be alone, Ziggy. To have someone care about me like I care about them. Someone who won’t abandon me just because I want to be needed.”

You best believe I SQUEALED when this ARC arrived in my inbox, and started reading it immediately!!!

When we met Ziggy in Wilde’s End, I was immediately intrigued by him and hoped that he would get a book in the series, and I was so happy to discover his story was the next one!

The things we learn about Ziggy’s past absolutely broke my heart and I 100% teared up as we were learning about his childhood. And whilst he carries trauma that affects how he interacts with other people, I adore how he immediately trusts Kennedy, and just wants to be near him, with him, in any way possible. I loved how their friendship developed into something more and how Ziggy was able to use his voice more the closer he got with Kenny, and everything about them is just so sweet and they might be one of my favourite couples that I’ve ever read about, the way they care for each other and just wants the other to feel safe and treasured or loved is just *chef’s kiss*!

This story also contains some drama and a bit of mystery for the Wenders, and I’m very excited to see how things play out for the new newcomer in the next book, whenever that will be!

“A few months ago, I never would have been able to stand up for myself. My default is to run from conflict.” I cup his face, holding it exactly like my hands were made to do. “But if you can find your voice when it’s needed, then so can I. You inspire me, Ziggy.”

“I finally know what love is. Love is strength. And sunshine.”

Many thanks to Saxon James for giving me an advance copy of this book to read and review!

Y'all. I adored this so MUCH. I absolutely loved Wilde's End and I think I love this even more. Ziggy and Kennedy were so perfect together. 🥹 I love a good sunshine character and Kennedy was that and so much more. I also loved how feral and possessive Ziggy could get.

I am obsessed with this series so much and cannot wait for more books. I'm so intrigued by all of these characters and I know this is gonna end up being one of my all time favorite series.

I loved Ziggy and Kennedy so much! Kennedy really gave Ziggy the space to open up and that was so beautiful to watch unfold.

Kennedy really broke my heart at times, especially when he said he questioned why he couldn’t find someone to love him as hard as he loves in return. Well guess what buddy!

I also really liked how Ziggy, despite his trauma and anxiety, found a place where the people around him accepted him and could communicate with him on his level.

I’m really excited to see where this series goes! It’s so different from anything I’ve read before!

Kennedy • Ziggy

….

“I need to figure out what love is first.” - “Love doesn’t have to be one thing, but if it exists, the possibilities are endless.” <3.

….

How I love when two good people match with energy and kindness. How what’s best in them - others think it’s the worst and they prove them wrong and cherish what’s the best in them in another and nurture it.

Ziggy and Kennedy are like two missing puzzle pieces to the same landscape. Fitting perfectly together to build strength and confidence in one another. Learning what’s love and its endless possibilities.

The story also developed the background story much more and other characters - making me sooooo intrigued by the next story - which might be just Saxon’s best one to come. On that note - I wish her all the best and strength <3.

4.5 rounded up.

….

“Kennedy has a constant hum of life orbiting him, and I want to step into the pull and be swept up in the chaos.” // “Having someone want me so much that they’d face their fears to keep me? I’ll never know what that’s like, because while I might be exploding with feelings for Kennedy, those feelings will only ever go one way. Because how can you fall for someone who refuses to talk?” // “I don’t want to be a bitter person. I like being a romantic. But little by little, that part of me is shrinking.” // “He actually laughs, and the sound sweeps over me and strikes me dumb. Just like every time I hear his voice, it’s like I’ve witnessed something special. And I use every moment I have to try and make it happen again.” // “I don’t own much, but what I have is mine. I’m proud of it, and I’m proud of the life I’ve built for myself. I might be lonely, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’ve fought hard to get here. Exactly where I want to be.” // “How am I supposed to look at that face and behave myself?” // “…You’ve always been my sunshine. So you can’t give up. Because I need you too.” // “There are no secrets between us, no buried worries, no uncovered scars that we haven’t bared for the other person.” …

….

*I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I love Ziggy and Kennedy so much. I loved them both in Wilde’s End and was so excited for their story. They are both just so sweet and so good and so perfect for each other. I am absolutely LOVING this series so far and cannot wait to see what the next book has in store. This moody, small town, off-the-grid vibe is ABSOLUTELY working for me. I just adore a story about someone who struggles with anxiety and the other character not only accepts them and loves them for exactly the way they are, but also that just their presence is enough to help soothe and comfort the anxious character into coming out of their head a little. It’s so true to life for me and I relate to that so much.

"I want to fall in love with someone who’ll appreciate it, Ziggy. Because there has to be someone.” Me. I’ll appreciate it. I’d savor every goddamn minute of it. The problem though? I have no idea what love is.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

How soon is too soon to start a re-read?! I never want the books in this series to end and Ziggy & Kennedy were no exception!! I LOVED every minute of this story and the rich & refreshing world of characters that Saxon has created around Wilde’s End 🥹

Ziggy's Voice is the book you get when an extroverted cinnamon roll meets a broken boy cinnamon roll - absolutely the sweetest combination! You can't help but fall so deeply in love with Ziggy and Kennedy and they way they complement each other perfectly. Kennedy is searching for his forever love after giving so much of himself and falling so fast in failed past relationships. Ziggy is haunted by inner demons, is mostly non-verbal and is navigating new feelings of attraction for Kennedy after never knowing love in his life. They have so much love to give and Saxon made me feel every emotion in this book! I laughed, I teared up (more than once) and completely melted into a puddle by the end.

Ziggy and Kennedy have such a strong connection from the start. When the physical attraction starts to ramp up for each of them, it was ELECTRIC!! Their first kiss and first spicy scene are up on the list with some of my top. Seeing them open up to each other, allowing themselves to be vulnerable and for deeper feelings to develop was so endearing.

And as expected, the banter between the Bellamy brothers and the other characters of Wilde's End was absolutely top notch 😂👏🏻 There is such wonderful humor mixed in with the heavier hitting emotions of this book that it's a complete comfort read!

I can't recommend Ziggy's Voice and the Wilde Men series enough! Must-reads and new Saxon favourites!

From the moment I met Ziggy in book one, I knew his story was going to break my heart in the best way and Saxon James absolutely delivered.

Kennedy has always been the “relationship guy,” loving too big, too hard, and too fast, which has left him burned more than once. His move to Wilde’s End is supposed to be a fresh start and a break from romance altogether. But then he meets Ziggy. Quiet, pierced, endearingly awkward Ziggy who somehow makes sparks fly without even trying.

Ziggy’s spent most of his life feeling like the invisible loner, the “weird loser” who talks too little and feels too much. Watching Kennedy truly see him, accept him, and care for him without demanding he be anyone else is pure magic. Their connection grows so gently and beautifully that every moment of self‑growth, especially Ziggy slowly stepping out of his shell, feels earned and heartfelt.

My heart absolutely shattered whenever we glimpsed Ziggy’s past or heard the brutal way he speaks to himself. He’s so precious, vulnerable, and unintentionally funny, and seeing Kennedy show up for him with unwavering sunshine and softness had me grinning like an idiot. The mutual pining, the protectiveness, the slow blossoming of trust, it’s all perfection.

I adored this book, start to finish, and I’m already counting down the days until the next Wild Men story.

Ziggy’s Voice is book two in Saxon James’s The Wild Men series, and while you could technically read it alone, I highly recommend reading Wilde’s End first for the emotional and character context.

Vibes:
• Friends to lovers
• Only one bed
• Possessive MC
• Mutual pining
• Hurt/comfort
• Pierced MC
• Idiots to lovers

Ziggy’s Voice is book two in The Wilde Men series by Saxon James. Listen, I was so happy when I first learned this book would be focused on Ziggy and was ecstatic I was able to read this ahead of its release.
Kennedy has moved to Wilde’s End, he wants a relationship so bad but he goes all in and something always goes wrong. Ziggy is the odd loner, doesn’t talk but has a mysterious appeal that draws Kennedy in.
I was completely infatuated with these two, the book is told through both of their POV’s and it was great getting to know them separately and together. They have such great chemistry, patience and love for each other. This has great rep for anxiety and I loved how this was handled by the characters. I also thought the first couple of chapters were really interesting with the non verbal communication and this brought a whole new level to the steps in building a new relationship of any kind. There are so many sweet moments mixed in with some amazingly spicy moments. I loved how they remembered and did little things for each other as well as went on an intimate exploration with each other.
This was such a beautiful entry and I couldn’t help but fall in love with there two, the epilogue gave me everything and left me with such a happy feeling.

Ziggy’s Voice is available today

P.S. I’m so intrigued with the teaser we get for book three!

Thank you Hambright PR and Saxon James for providing me with this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

What a great second story! I was so interested in how this relationship would work with Kennedy being so outgoing and boisterous and Ziggy so quiet and reclusive, but they just worked so perfectly together!

“I don’t have experience with men, have never been with one, but Kennedy makes me want to try. I’m inhumanly attracted to him, and it’s hard to determine whether it’s his physical features, who he is inside, or a combination of both.”

Ziggy is silent by choice, he has childhood trauma that made him take refuge in Wilde’s End and he’s been happy there. When he sees Kennedy for the first time he knows he’ll never be the same.
Kennedy just wants to love people, he has been told he smothers people with too much love and that’s all Ziggy wants, someone to smother him in love.

“I’m haunted by the image from yesterday of a near naked Kennedy, wet briefs hugging his cock, lazed out on the warm rock like a lizard in the sun. He was soaking up every ray of happiness, like I do when I’m around him. Like I’m doing right now.”

“I’m nervous as hell, but the second my lips touch his, that surge of power comes back to me. Like if we keep kissing, I can forget everything that’s ever happened up until this moment. I’m just a man kissing another man.”

Omgggggosh, I just love this series so much. It was a perfect slow burn, small town, friends to lovers, MM romance.

Kennedy has sworn off love. He always gives TOO MUCH, which scares people off. So while he is in Wildes End he is taking a step back from love and relationships. Ziggy doesn’t speak, but he has a heart of gold. All he wants is to experience love for the first time. Him asking people what being in love was like, oh my heart.

Kennedy and Ziggy built a beautiful friendship. But something more is starting to form, Ziggy is attracted to him but doesn’t know how to let him know without scaring him off. Kennedy starts to notice things about Ziggy that he normally wouldn’t. And when they finally kiss, fireworks!

Communication is beautiful in this story. Ziggy makes an effort for Kennedy and my heart just burst. And when he tells Kennedy he wants him to be extra and love him in his crazy way, I was screaming yes yes yes!!! Nothing was wrong with how Kennedy loved, he just hadn’t found the right person yet.

And the spice between these two, whew!!! The “sit in my face” moment…oh man. Iykyk!!!

This book was such a surprise, I loved how complex the characters were, Ziggy is such an enigma, looks sweet and innocent but deep down it’s more than that, he feels intensely and what he wants is Kennedy, his sunshine. Meanwhile, Kennedy is off dating, after so many disasters, he’s trying to protect himself more, he’s always loving hard and fast, and crashes. But the more he spends time with Ziggy and gets to know him, the harder it is to resist the little spark between them. Between someone who he’s trying to express himself through his voice and someone who he’s trying to rein in his impulse - what can be the result ?

Truly had a good time, and it was a great read for my current mood.

I received an ARC Copy of this book, this review is from my own thoughts 😍

Synopsis in one sentence: In the remote, slightly abandoned town of Wilde’s End, sunshiny twin Kennedy Bellamy tries to swear off relationships only to be drawn to Ziggy, a shy, selectively mute and also never been kissed electrician.

Fav character: Ziggy. His vulnerability is heartbreaking but his inner strength. He's so sweet.

Fav trope: Sunshine x Grumpy

Fav part: The exploration scenes. Since everything they try is a first for Ziggy and has avoided touch for so long, I love the way Kennedy handles their physical intimacy with such patience and enthusiam.

Didn’t like: Nothing I love this book and series!

Recommend it: 100% yes -it was the perfect slow burn done right.
