EXCERPT
Rafe returned two minutes early to find Tristin sitting on the gangway. A half-eaten reddish-yellow fruit dangled from his fingertips and he wore a smile of satisfaction. Either that Earth Apple was extra tasty or he and Iris had finished their shopping early and had started the party without Rafe. Years ago that would have made him jealous, but Tristin completed the circle, made Rafe whole again. He couldn’t imagine life without his best friend and fighting over Iris hadn’t been an option. Losing either of them would have shredded his soul. “Get everything on the list?” he asked, propping a boot against the edge of the gangway. “And then some.” Tristin wiggled his eyebrows up and down, looking ten years younger. “Iris on board?” Tristin shook his head, his gaze sweeping the port over Rafe’s shoulder. “I’ll go put this stuff away and we’ll be ready to go as soon as she gets back.” The sooner they took to the sky, the sooner they could get home. And the sooner they got home, the sooner they could lose themselves in Iris’s brilliance and love. They needed a vacation in the worst way after that last mission. He decided to hide the presents he’d gotten Iris and Tristin so they’d be a surprise when they got to Dornick. She had a fondness for silky fabrics and the animals on Leo Moon had particularly soft pelts. And since Tristin loved daggers, Rafe hadn’t been able to pass up a handmade blade with a whelvan horn for the handle. After completing his preflight check, taking care of business and grabbing a snack, he headed back to the gangway. “Any sign of her?” Tristin shook his head, his gaze still searching the throng of people for their beautiful wife. Her golden-red mane would be easy to spot in the fading daylight. “She’s late,” Tristin said, tossing the apple core away. A small, furry scavenger darted from beneath their ship and carried the remnant of fruit away, making happy little squeaking sounds. “She’s never late,” Rafe replied, worry pinching his brows. Iris had always been incredibly punctual which was just one of the many things he loved about her. Her punctuality had saved their ass on more than one occasion. “I’ll try her comm,” Tristin said. He tapped the call button and braced his forearms against his knees as he waited. Rafe sat down next to him and looked out at the landing pad. Pad might be stretching it a bit. It was a flat surface free from debris and obstacles. But the surface was sandy and kicked up like a son-of-a-bitch during takeoff and landing.

Liked this storyline. Was a little confusing, we don't know why Iris was taken, or why they were fighting so hard to get her back. Why were they taking females to impregnate? Too many unanswered questions. I did like how Rafe and Tristan gave Isis space to get her bearings, but were not going to give up on her being theirs. Wanted an epilogue with a pregnancy announcement.
Isis has been kidnapped and her two mates Tristian and Rafe will stop at nothing to get her back. She has been missing for months and when they finally rescue her they must make her remember them and the love they shared or all will be lost. Isis feels in her heart that these men mean something to her, but she doesn't know if it is because they saved her or if it is deeper than that. These three are a hot ménage who have had each other's back for years and they won't let a little thing like amnesia stand in their way. This is a short story but has a lot of action and sensual scenes. I was lucky to be a beta reader for this title and fell in love with this series and couples in the them. This is a standalone title in a continuing storyline with each book dealing with a different couple( ménage).
I received a copy of this book for a honest review.
Making what should have been a routine landing on their trip home, Tristin and Rafe are devastated when they are unable to fine their wife, Isis at the local market.
After months of searching and the lack of results, they are shocked to stumble upon Isis on the all female planet of Prime C.
What follows is the heartbreaking realization that Isis does not remember them or their time together, and her denial of the relationship she once shared with these men.
This is a short Sci Fi story and a thoroughly enjoyable read!
I like the characters Isis, Tristan and Rafe but I would of like a little more world building. At times I felt lost when they spoke about people, places bad events. I enjoyed this short story and I'm looking forward to reading the next book to find out about Natacha.
A very human story of loss and renewal when what was lost has been found. A love triad that is tested as one of the three is lost and once recovered does not realize who she really is. The story encompasses a journey of rediscovery, both physically and emotionally. A very poignant tale.
3 1/2 stars. Interesting storyline although not really quite enough time to develop it enough or give it any real depth. And no explanation of how Isis got into the situation her men found her in either.
