Basic plot- H/h were secret dating when they were young, h is rich girl/H poor boy with a bad rep. They plan to elope, h changes her mind but doesnt explain to H, and H gets drunk and has a ONS. Book opens, 23 years later(and boy did the author not want you to forget its 23 years!) H son and h daughter got married and need the parents to band together to help them out.

This book .... was pretty boring. I really didn't feel the sexual tension the author was reaching for, and since nothing really happens in the book, without it it was a chore to read. On top of that, I really didn't like the ending.. they go the whole book dancing around what happened and each other, only in the last 5 pages does everything come out. Plus the H totally blames the h o.O Because "she" didnt elope when he wanted to, he got drunk ,had a ONS, got a barfly preggo and married her. He never seemed sorry that he cheated on the h, it was treated like a misunderstanding and brushed aside in the end.

The H and h used to date as kids and their kids are now married and they have cash flow problems and a baby on the way. So the two in-laws get together to support their kids without hurting the kids’ egos and there is tension about their past history.
The whole climax is laughable. The H is upset the h didn’t cry when he tells her he is abandoning her to marry someone else. He is the guy who had an one night stand because h didn’t show up and got someone else pregnant while dating teen h. The plot ends with the h mentioning she got back home and cried for months!
