Updated and Edited 10/01/2015 Carrie Emison never believed in demons, ghouls, or things that go bump in the night. Tyler Castleman never believed in love. Imagine their surprise when they discovered each other.
Eighteen-year-old Carrie denied her attraction for nineteen-year-old Tyler for as long as she possibly could, but in time they formed a connection that felt almost unworldly. From the day he first laid eyes on her, the charismatic, and reclusive Tyler had been consumed with Carrie, a big-hearted and frustrating girl—who Tyler loved beyond reason. The only problem with that was Tyler had no right to love. After all, love is a foreign concept to a demon.
With Tyler, Carrie found isolation, unbearable pain, and that happily ever afters do not exist. However, she also never felt more alive. After a tragic accident, Carrie faced a hard decision. Did she endure it all for the sake of love? Or was the price of sin more than she could afford to pay?
I wanted to like this book. Was sorely disappointed. The author needs to learn the proper tense usage. Very annoying while reading. Seems like juvenile writing. A good premise for the book but.....the author needs to take an English and grammar course or two, plus get a good editor and proofreader. So many mistakes I lost count, almost in every sentence. It’s an abhorrent use of the English language. I can’t even finish this book. It’s too frustrating. I would not recommend.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
****3.75 Stars**** I LOVED the premise. Reporter meets Dom but nothing is as it seems. He isn't revealing his intentions and she walks in like a lamb to slaughter. I LOVED the characters. I really like stories with older and not stick thin heroines. They are more "real" and more people can connect. He is a hot guy with no feelings but you can tell has a soft side. Love the soft alpha Doms!!! I liked the writing style The story was told well. Descriptive but not overly. Hot and sexy. Two POV to give the big picture. Some editing issues but nothing to horrible. Ended abruptly so there is a cliffy. A little short.
Overall a good beginning and I can't wait for the next.
I'm hooked on this story and I want more. I'm very curious to see what the next book will bring and if it will answer my questions. This is a very fast read but it is written exceptionally well. It flows and you immediately get sucked in.
