Born in Long Island NY, I love to write about life and how I see things. I have always been open to opinion, so I've learned to speak my mind. I write books for men and women, I believe if we learn to better ourselves, maybe our children will grow up with better values. I'm speaking for and about the middle class and or the urban world.I just felt like there were a few things that was needed to be said so I said them. The first book I published. "The Greatest Secret Untold" Was meant to reach men who didn't have the mustard in them to stand up and be a man for their women. My second book . "If I were a chick" is meant to reach the women in the world. I felt like they deserve to hear how men think. I have been through so much in my life, I just want to show people, we can change, we can make a difference. #Lookatme

Yes Michael!!! I told you urban was more my speed and I loved this read!! There were some minor errors but it didn't take away from the story. Chrome and Black were something else. Black stayed involved in something, whereas Chrome was more of a thinker that got them out of certain situations. Their occupations though?! I couldn't believe Hot Rod and how he tried to pull a fast one. He was wrong and crossed Chrome for his own selfish reasons. Out of all Chrome's girls, Kira worked my nerves the most because of her jealously. After her voicemail I was too through with her! Wow the Mexican cartel started playing dirty as ever. I thought for sure Chrome and Black would get caught slipping a few times. Damn Black got greedy and caused more problems than he bargained for and lost someone close in the process. I could've punched Black because he didn't seem to understand it was time to leave some of his ways alone. Now Summer and Isabelle are the true definition of ride or dies. They held their men down regardless of what they did. I did feel bad for Danielle because had she contacted Black early enough and put him in the know, things may have been different. It seemed as if the agents and detective would stop at nothing to build a case. Baldhead is the truth!!! I loved that dude because his tactics were something serious! Every run in or situation they faced had me wanting to read more. Through it all, whether ups or downs, the guys got the most important thing they wanted and shed so many tears of joy. Great job!!!

I think Tears of Joy is a gritty yet poignant testimony to the now-times. It took my attention from the first page and assisted me to understand & ascend into the era of this story. Each phrase revealed to me something unfamiliar and educated me to vast horrors of "the real" world of that raw but lived side of life. The author kept me captivated with urban idioms and phrases, yet he strikingly identified reality loud and clear. This book is an easy read and page turner. This book will go far in the urban genre and I would love to hear this in the grittiness of an audiobook.

I really loved this book, it reminded me of Donald Goins it had a lot of action. Chrome and Summer in my opinion were just meant to be. Black is a wild ass fool, where as Chrome kept everything in order. These guys along with The Baldhead had me so into the read that I made time to finish this one quickly. I own a paperback so I can't Wait to see Michael Lawrence at The College Lakes Library to get my copy signed. I hears there is going to be a part 2 so I can't wait. OH and Kira i hate bitches like her Jealous Ass

This book is brutal in terms of its excitement and action. There are also a lot of times in this book where it packs a punch in terms of emotions. I just can't stop flipping through the pages and scouring through it. I am impressed by how the author manages to deliver so much action and adrenaline through the pages, the book delivers everything in its raw form. Amazing read! I would actually recommend this to my friends!

To be honest, I didn't expect this. The writing style is kinda confusing at first but I managed to keep on reading because the story is truly brilliant. I've never read anything like this before. The characters and conversations are so realistic. I believe this is based on someone's life experience. I really hope someday I would see this story in the big screen. It's gonna be awesome!

Ok The Baldhead Murderer is not one to play with. I'm already on chapter 30, just got my free Kindle version SuperBowl Sunday! Goooooo Seahawks!!!!

A must read if you like urban hood books. No typical story here. This book is interesting enough to make you read it all at once if you could. Even with my busy schedule I still find time to flip the pages. Again I'm still not done so I will complete my review when I'm done. Just know it's worth reading.

I absolutely loved this read! As a college student I needed a book short enough and captivating enough to spend time reading a book without having a boring time. When I'm feeling stressed out from school I pick up Tears of Joy and I really get into all of the characters the story creates for me. I could really tell Michael Lawrence was really trying to manipulate the reader's feelings. Perfect! I love a story that can make me feel.
Great read!

Tears of Joy is a dark and gritty tale of urban life. The two lead characters are dynamic and interesting to follow. With that being said and being familiar with urban life, the . author really hits home with his detail and vivid description. It's clear that he knows what he is talking about and not another author pretending to know.

Urban writing as we know has flooded the market, many of which should be tossed away. Tears of Joy however is a keepsake. From the beginning the author pulls you into his world, making the reader want to see how each character was going to pan out. The author knows his genre and look forward to reading more from him. Tears of Joy down right had some gritty and eye opening moments that urban readers can find themselves lost in.
