I was raised to be the lock. Instead, I became an explosion of magic. I was never supposed to touch the Gate, let alone shatter it. Now Olympus hangs in the sky and somehow I’m the only thing keeping reality from collapsing. Bound to my soul by golden cords are the four Princes of the Flynn, Thane, Elias, and Kaelen. Lethal. Legendary. Mine… and dangerously tempting. They were never caged to protect the mortal realm. They were bait, living lures meant to keep a cosmic horror’s gaze off Olympus. Now the Council of Keepers has stolen my essence to craft a god-killer, an abomination made from my own blood, built to drag my Princes back in chains. And something divine has noticed the fracture I tore open. An agent of Olympus has slipped through, its influence a suffocating pressure in my mind as it tries to control my thoughts. Worse? Every time I draw on the Princes’ power, the bond tightens. Their hunger bleeds into mine. To get answers, and end the gods’ game, I must lead my Princes into the Heart of the Titan and force a passage to Olympus. The Gate is open. The hunt is on. And I’m finally biting back.

Pandora’s Bite picked up right where the first book left off, and I was hooked immediately. The suspense carries through the entire story, and the world the author has created continues to feel rich and immersive.
I especially enjoyed getting to see more interaction between the four male characters—the gods—and how their dynamics are starting to unfold. There’s definitely more depth building there, which kept me really engaged. The introduction of a new character added another layer of intrigue, and I’m very curious to see how that plays out moving forward.
This was a great read overall, and now I’m already looking ahead to book three to see how everything comes together and where the story ultimately goes. Definitely recommend if you enjoyed the first one.
This is one of those reads that feels like a full-on rollercoaster—in the best way. It throws you straight into a world of danger, secrets, and intense connections, and honestly, it doesn’t really give you a chance to catch your breath and is action from start to finish.
There is plenty of spice thrown in along with plenty of angst.
Even the secrets in this book have secrets as there are layers to this storey that you dont see coming even when some of teh plot is predicatable so this keeps teh storey very interesting.
This book picks up straight from book one, good pacing and character development. Good storyline, with a few spicy scenes. Looking forward to the next book to see were the story will lead.
I went into Pandora’s Bite: Forbidden Gate not really knowing what to expect especially after the first book and honestly, it surprised me in a good way. The story leans heavily into that mix of mythology, supernatural tension, and slow-burn romance, and it actually manages to balance those elements better than I thought it would. What stood out most to me was the atmosphere. There’s this constant sense that something bigger is unfolding behind the scenes—like every choice that Aria makes is pulling at threads that could unravel everything. I really liked that underlying tension because it kept me reading “just one more chapter.” The character dynamics were another strong point. The relationships don’t feel rushed, and there’s a push-and-pull that builds over time instead of jumping straight into instant connections. That slower build made the emotional moments land harder, especially when loyalties and truths start getting questioned. I have to admit even though its why choose I'm a huge Kaelen fan. That said, the pacing isn’t perfect. The beginning takes a little while to fully hook you, and there are moments where the world-building feels a bit dense. But once the story finds its rhythm, it becomes much easier to get immersed in. Overall, this is a solid read if you enjoy paranormal romance with a darker, myth-inspired edge. It’s not just about romance—it’s about identity, trust, and challenging what you’ve always believed to be true. By the end, I was definitely curious to see where the series goes next.
Pandora’s Bite picks up right where the first book left off, and it wastes no time throwing Aria deeper into the chaos she never asked for. She’s still trying to understand her power, her place in this world, and the consequences tied to every choice she makes. What I love most is that she stays true to herself.
She questions everything, pushes back when she needs to, and refuses to be shaped by anyone else’s expectations.
The relationships around her grow in really satisfying ways. The tension, the trust issues, the slow shift from uncertainty to connection all feel earned.
The romance emotional stakes are higher and the pull between them is impossible to ignore.
The worldbuilding expands in a way that feels natural, giving you more pieces of the puzzle without overwhelming you.
There’s danger, mystery, and that constant sense that something bigger is coming.
It’s the kind of sequel that deepens the story rather than just filling space.
If you enjoyed the first book’s mix of myth, power, and slow‑burn tension, this one keeps that energy going and raises the stakes. And yes, the ending absolutely makes you want the next book immediately.
Tropes • Hidden power • Slow burn romance • Found strength • Fate vs choice • Reluctant trust • Mythology with a modern twist Trigger Warnings • Violence and threat • Blood and injury • Emotional manipulation • Power imbalance
Spice Level 🌶 🌶 Slow burn with tension building through character connection rather than explicit scenes.
Holy cow! This book was incredible! Aria is a total badass, and she's steadily evolving. Aria isn't just the keeper or the gate; she is becoming something that can rival the gods, and I am here for it. However, she has her moments of vulnerability, but she stays the course while the guys stand by her side. The romance is heating up. There were more emotional moments than I expected as they figured things out. Aria and the guys are getting closer. It kind of happens when you trauma bond. They are connecting on a deeper level, and the fact that they want Aria for who she is and not what she is was everything.
I loved that there was more mythology this time around. A few gods get involved, and I'm more surprised by who they were than what they did. Out of all the gods, they weren't the ones I was expecting Aria to tangle with. Speaking of being surprised. Now that a few things have been revealed, the bigger picture is starting to fall into place, and the twists only make me want more. Think of it like the third movie in a horror franchise: you think you know everything, then you go back to the beginning and realize you know nothing. The plot was nonstop. Even in the lull, stuff was happening. It ended on a cliffhanger! Gods (yeah, I know, haha), I wasn't expecting that. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
Back into the world of Pandora’s heir, Aria is finally understanding her position as lock (a tool) to three monsters, princes, beings she is connected to, and what has been going on her entire life. And yet, everything she has been led to believe, and even told by the princes, is not accurate either.
I feel frustrated by this, that people are not being straight with her, which would help with some of my frustration over how flip-floppity she was in the last book.
Aria frees the princes, Kaelen, Flynn, Thane, and Elias. They are connected through golden cords, and now they are on the run from Olympus and a cosmic horror, with Olympus intending to use them as bait while it is being devoured. It gives off Galactus vibes without the Silver Surfer, which definitely hit my nerdy comic book feels.
When freeing the princes, Aria channels the princes' power through the golden tethers and is weakened as a result. While I was reading this, I was just thinking to myself that she has no autonomy, never has. She is lying there unable to do anything, deep underground and without sustenance, being watched over by the princes, and I was like, she is just a tool, and why is this story even about her when she seems nothing, but then you find that she feels the same way, and the story turned for the better, for me.
The book became more interesting. I appreciated her getting to know the guys more one on one and really became more interested at the end, which came to an abrupt halt. Even though we were where we left off at the end of the first book, I was not fully in it, and the middle felt a bit like a frustrating slow drag, only to come up and be very interesting at the end, just to be over. This is a 3.5 for me but giving it a 3 here. I am interested to see how it ends and what becomes of Aria, but I am not bouncing around with gimme hands waiting for it either.
This book picks up directly from the ending of the previous installment, with Aria and the gods having shattered the Santorum. But the course of events isn’t quite what anyone anticipated, introducing fresh twists and challenges that redefine the stakes for everyone involved.
Across a sweeping journey, the five protagonists confront deep loss and enduring pain, then learn to rely on one another in ways they never thought possible. Their bonds—tested by danger, doubt, and distance—gradually strengthen into a trust that feels both fragile and formidable.
As the narrative progresses, the characters confront difficult truths about themselves and their relationships. The story builds toward a climactic convergence where the love and loyalty they’ve cultivated might finally unlock the world they’ve been yearning for, offering a sense of hope, redemption, and belonging.
If you’re seeking a story that blends high-stakes adventure with intimate character growth, this series delivers—rich world-building, emotional depth, and a payoff that rewards patience and courage. Highly recommended.
Pandora's bite is the second book in the Forbidden Gate series it is packed with full out action and slow burn romance. It picks up from where the first book leaves off like there wasn't a pause to reflect on what happened. I was pulled in with no time to ask what was happening because the FMC and her 4 MMC's are on a mission to save themselves from fatal life stopping altercations. There were parts that made me laugh specially when a certain Sea Monster gets the name of Steve. Steve is a cross between a squid and octopus all put together and called a Skal. We get to learn more about Aria Pandoros and her 4 princes in depth while watching Aria come into her own powers and taking charge like the Boss she was suppose to be. With every turn of the page and twist in shocking detail I survived all the way to the end and want more. So, if you High Action, Heated Romance, Slow Burn, 4 hot shifters with special unique powers and a FMC that comes with a BITE. Then you want to read The Forbidden Gate series. I can't wait to see what is going to happen the next book.
This book follows the same theme as the first book, in the way that it’s a rollercoaster from start to finish. There really isn’t much in terms of lull in the action/adventure/intrigue. The characters are constantly under duress, planning, or just trying to survive. Aria has turned herself into a powerful tool in their arsenal, and the Olympians are fully aware, and not happy about it. There’s also some truths revealed about both the princes and why Olympus put the princes in the gate to begin with. It comes from an unlikely source, but the source needs to stay anonymous or else it could result in things becoming even worse. So Aria is made to forget the meeting that took place, but is allowed to keep the gut feelings that the meeting invoked to help her make her choices along the way. We got some steam in this book as well, and a peek at hades dousing cold water on the afterglow. I however, can’t wait to see what comes next for our main characters now that they’ve gotten to this point in their journey.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars because the book is definitely too good for 3 stars. GR really needs to give us more options.
While I did really enjoy the story I had so much trouble getting into it. Right from the start the book goes a comp ete different direction than what I expected, which is perfectly fine. Except it kept changing directions throughout the entire book. It felt very chaotic. A few times they got minimal information and they managed to pull so many conclusions out of it. Its like they see and apple in the grond and then say "they were clearly with 6 people working for our neighbour who we thought was our friend but this means that they are our enemies, they are clearly hunting us and lost 1 apple". I'm exaggerating of course. But honestly with the changes in the stories direction and the random information, I got so confused that I don't really know what we're doing and why it is necessary to do it. I'm just hanging on for the ride.
I already loved book one, but this one takes everything and turns it up. The world feels bigger, the stakes feel heavier, and Aria is no longer just reacting, she’s starting to take control. Watching that shift continue was one of my favorite parts.
There’s a lot more going on here. Gods, monsters, secrets on top of secrets, and moments where I genuinely didn’t know who to trust anymore. It has that same unsettling feeling as the first book, just deeper and more intense. I did have a few moments where I was like wait… what is happening, but I was too invested to care.
The bond with Thane, Elias, Flynn, and Kaelen keeps building, and you can feel the tension tightening in every scene. It’s still more slow burn than anything, but the pull between them is getting stronger and harder to ignore.
And that ending… yeah. Rude. I’m fully locked into this series now and need the next book immediately.
This is a thrilling and immersive read that effortlessly blends elements of fantasy, mystery, and suspense. From the very first page, Scott’s vivid world-building and well-drawn characters pulled me in and kept me hooked throughout the entire story.
The plot is cleverly constructed, balancing intense action with moments of genuine emotion and character development. I especially appreciated how Scott weaved mythological themes into the narrative, giving the story a unique depth and resonance. The protagonist is compelling and relatable, facing challenges that test their courage and resolve, which added an emotional layer that kept me invested in their journey.
The pacing was spot-on—fast enough to maintain tension but with enough breathing room to develop the story’s intricate lore. The writing style is clear and engaging, with a good mix of dialogue and description that made the setting come alive.
Unlocking the gate was only the start…... This was tense, stomach clenchingly tense. The action was almost nonstop, and just when you thought Aria and her princes had time to take a breath, the action kicked in again. There are monsters, avatars, meetings at crossroads that are forgotten as you wake and a song to be sung, and a binding of souls. Parts of this made me laugh, Steve the skal being the main one. Others I flinched in pain with Aria, who is drained beyond measure and still needs to fight. The experiments she went through, the thought of the glass jars, the pressure of binding, all made me want to hug her. By the end she leads, not follows, her weapons are with her, and it seems like the biggest battle is yet to come and it may be with something bigger than the gods themselves. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️
This picks up exactly where book one left off, and the action is relentless. Aria and her men are simultaneously running for their lives and fighting back, which they do wonderfully.
Aria is a wonderful contradiction, weak and strong at the same time. She's aware that she is, at the core, very human, but is determined to embrace what she has and needs to become. Her men are fully fleshed out here, literally and figuratively, and provide the perfect balance she needs.
The lore of the world is expanded on, and we learn what's going on as they do, even with a phoenix on the team, there's no advance knowledge. And the who and what they are facing is fascinating.
The who and what they are to face have a creeping feeling of inevitability, without feeling predictable or expected. I can't wait to see where teh next book takes their adventure!
Pandora’s Bite picks up right where the first book left off, and I was hooked from the very first page. The suspense carries throughout the entire story, and the world the author has created continues to feel rich, vivid, and immersive. One of my favorite aspects was seeing more interaction between the four male characters—the gods—and watching their dynamics begin to unfold. There’s a growing depth to their relationships that kept me fully engaged. The introduction of a new character also adds an extra layer of intrigue, and I’m really curious to see how that develops in the next installment. Overall, this was a fantastic read. I’m already looking forward to book three to see how everything comes together and where the story ultimately leads. Definitely recommend it if you enjoyed the first book.
This book picks up where the first in The Forbidden Gate series left off. Aria has broken the gate. Kaelen has managed to cross through, but at what cost? Their magic is now bleeding into the world and the gate is unstable. Aria wants to bring the rest through but it's not going to be "easy." What happens next? Chaos! This book really brings the supernatural and blends it with greek mythology in a big way. You're getting fresh elements that really ramp things up with the characters and the storyline. The story ebbs and flows here and there, but once it really grabs traction, it's more interesting. The story remains in slow-burn territory before shifting into steamy gear towards the end. It's not exactly the most cohesive but it's relatively good overall. I'm curious to see where things go from here.

This series just keeps getting better. Aria was finally able to pull all the guys through the door without losing her life and now her and the guys with their new pet/mascot thing Steve are trying to find a way to prevent the power hungry Devourer to come down and consume them. They are also trying to hide from Marissa who is actually Hera in disguise. All the guys seem to be in love with Aria, but some of them are having a hard time wanting to share her. She is becoming weak because they need to bind with her and they are afraid it will destroy her. They get some help from Hades of all beings, also she gets advice from Hecate in a dream that she is not able to remember after waking up. This is the second book in the series that ends on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book.

We are back with Pandora, Kaelen, Flynn, Thane, and Elias. We see the aftermath of what happened in the first book. The connections between Pandora and princes are growing stronger and we get to experience their connections. The story is extremely well written and developed. It is a journey that we take alongside them that quickly pulls you in and doesn’t let go. It will have you on the edge of your seat with anticipation. I loved how much action and drama was in the story. It kept it engaging and throughly entertaining. I loved this series and how unique it is. The ending was spectacular even through we will have to see what happens next. This is absolutely a must read and doesn’t disappoint.
This author is becoming an automatic 1-click. I could not put this book down, mainly because I was desperate to find out what happens after book 1’s cliffhanger. It is the second book in the series, and luckily it starts right where the first book ended and it starts with a bang! Aria has so much to learn about the gate, her powers and the four princes. It's non-stop throughout the book and I was ready for a breather for Aria and her guys, but they barely got one. Steve the sea creature adds a layer of humor and fun to the story that offsets some of the intensity of the plot. There are surprising twists, spice and four princes learning to share their girl, hallelujah. Now I wait once again for book 3.
This book picks right after the previous, so we're quickly pulled back into Aria's world. I was well and truly captivated till the end! You dont have to wait long for the action to start either. The revelations just keep coming too!!! Wow!! The the constant state of danger they face! I kept wondering will they catch a break?! I think the series is only getting better! The action is greater and the danger is constant. We also learn more about Aria and the princes. The spice is minimal (however, it fits perfectly and is delicious), but the character growth and connections are building and becoming more. This was such an excellent continuation! I cant wait for book 3!!
Yay, Aria finally gets her men in her plane of existence! I love how each of the guys gives her something she needs, and Thane is probably my favorite with his unwavering stability. I also adored Steve, and he had me cracking up with his hilarious responses. This book is full of action, with plenty of tense moments, as well as suspense. It is more of a slow burn, which was perfect for the story, and made for a steamy group scene, *wink.* The character development was on par, it was great to watch Aria grow from a quieter follower, to leading her men and essentially changing the foundation of her reality. Fantastic book, cannot wait to see what comes next.
We are back in Book 2 with Aria, Kaelen, Flynn, Thane and Elias. The book picked up exactly where we ended. We got so much information in this book. We learned more about the Princes and even about some of the things Aria has been through in her life. I loved all the info. Then we see that Olympus might not be as far away as we thought. The Citadel was built on top of the bones of a Titan. Aria need to bind with all four princes to be able to throw open a door to Olympus. Then we get a cliffhanger right before a fight is about to happen. The writing was fabulous in this book and I can’t wait for book 3!
Helen gives us an amazing book 2 in The Forbidden Gate series! This book has Aria becoming the gate and dragging the rest of the princes through. This book focuses on her bonds with the princes (and a creature she steals from Poseidon) and trying to save her world while fighting off the Olympians. To find out how they get to the wild cliffhanger, dive into this beautifully written story with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout! I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one! Don't miss out on this book!!
You jump right back into the action with Pandora’s Bite, the second installment of the Forbidden Gate series! It keeps you on your toes! Plenty of heart pounding action, slow burn romance with some spice, and lots of twists and turns! You really feel for everything Aria is going through, as it seems she just can’t even get a moment to breathe! She handles it well! It’s neat to see the relationships really taking shape, and see the men try to work out their own feelings on the matter. Helen Scott is a fantastic author, and she’s truly done a phenomenal job on word-building with this one. The plot continues to be wonderfully engaging, and it’s beautifully written! Well worth the read!
Jumping right back into it all, Pandora's Bite brings readers on an even wilder journey in book 2 of The Forbidden Gate series! Aria is continuously put through the wringer, but she takes everything in stride and her growth is amazing. She is really starting to come into her own. We also get to see growth between her and the four princes, Flynn, Thane, Elias, and Kaelen. I am enjoying the starting buds of spicy romance and I cannot wait to see how their relationships develop as the series continues. There are still so many mysteries, so I cannot wait to dive into the next book of the series!
Ugh!!! A cliffhanger, and it was epic! (I hate say it, but dang was it a good one.) Aria is evolving into whatever awesomeness she is going to be, and it is going to be great! I love that she still is willing to learn, and she shows this throughout the book. We are also getting MORE God's in the mix and I swear, as soon as you figure something out, you lose something else, so this plot is freaking awesome and will keep you on your toes! Now, I know this is the second book, so I'm not for full recaps, but if you're wondering if the this one is just as good as the first? Download it right now, you will not be disappointed! P.s I need the next book please!!
This second book really ups the. Hand of this series. We have Aria finally releasing the princes but. It all is as it seems. There is more to the story than she has been told. As she frees Kaelen, Thane, Flynn and Elias they must now flee and try to fight off Olympus. She learns of the princes origins and what they truely were meant for and what her and her lineage was meant to do. We finally get to see all of them together and connecting to try and stay safe and be free. We are of course left in a cliffhanger and now I am anxiously waiting for the next book so I can see how Aria and her men find their way out of this chaos and get their HEA.
The story picks up right where the previous one left off. Theres more suspense and intense moments for the characters to deal with. Throughout the entire story it’s hard to know who to trust and what’s truly going on. More secrets are revealed and the characters have to confront some very difficult truths. There’s action, emotional pain, intense inter character interactions, and heat. Aria has finally been able to pull the guys through the door without having to sacrifice her life yet things are not fixed or resolved. There’s still so much for them all to deal with. Secrets and lies to confront along with dangerous characters to deal with. The ending makes me need the next book now.
