I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack :)
UPDATE after listening to audiobook ⬇️⬇️⬇️
It’s getting harder and harder to say with a straight face that Carrie Ann Ryan writes standalone stories. I could write a whole thesis on the why of it all, but who has the time. Her worlds are big so of course she tries to write her stories, so they include necessary information from previous books as they pertain to main characters or important side characters. I have learned she is very good at her job and I am seriously in awe of her at this point, however, sometimes I get this feeling like I should “know things” and I can’t really pin-point what, but I had this feeling during my journey with Kiss Me Forever. It never really annoyed me or make me twitchy but it was there nonetheless and it was weird. LOL I’m pretty good at thinking ahead with books that are coming up for release, so this doesn’t happen but reading/listening to 9+ books before this released was an unattainable goal. ANYWHO, all of this was just to say that I think I need to take a good 30 days away from every other author and just drown myself in all Carrie words!
Anywho … I really liked the journey of Brooklyn & Reece and Bella! The story had a ton of potential to become a deeply gut-wrenching angst-driven journey, and I am super glad that CAR didn’t take the story in that direction. Instead, she took all (okay, almost all) the different plot-points in this story and tuned them into more of “hopeful and uplifting”. Aside from the situation with Bella and her maternal grandparents and the lack of depth the story had to any of her background, I was really joyful throughout my reading and listening journey. I felt their connection when I read the story and of course with Samantha Brentmoor & Teddy Hamilton narrating I more than felt it. I’m pretty sure I was living it in a lot of cases. My heart was sure in it for the majority of it!
This was such a special slow-burn(ish) story packed with enough swoon, heart and hope to feed the hearts of the masses! I am truly impressed with CAR and every story I have experienced as of late, and I love that I’ve had the opportunity to join her team because her writing is special!
Kiss Me Forever is book ten in Carrie Ann Ryan’s Montgomery Ink Legacy series. While it works well as a standalone, readers new to the series may find themselves tempted to go back and read the previous books after getting to know this close-knit family.
Kiss Me Forever delivers a combination of popular romance tropes, including enemies-to-lovers, boss and employee, age gap, surprise single dad, and grumpy/sunshine. Together, these elements create a heartfelt romance that is sure to appeal to devoted romance readers.
I first met Brooklyn Montgomery in Last Chance Seduction, where she suffered the devastating loss of her fiancé. A year later, she is still healing and has no interest in pursuing a relationship. Instead, she pours her energy into running the landscaping division of her family’s business.
Reece Fox has worked alongside the Montgomery family for years and knows them all well, including Brooklyn. The boss-employee dynamic complicates their relationship. Their interactions are often tense, and at first glance they appear incompatible. However, beneath the friction lies an undeniable attraction that neither is willing to acknowledge. Reece faces a life-changing revelation when he learns that he has an eleven-year-old daughter named Bella. Watching him step into this unexpected role was one of the highlights of the story. Despite the upheaval, he embraces fatherhood wholeheartedly, demonstrating his caring and dependable nature. As Brooklyn helps him navigate this new chapter, their relationship gradually evolves from reluctant coworkers to lovers.
Reece’s protective personality shines throughout the story. Whether supporting Brooklyn through the hurtful actions of her former fiancé’s family or trying his best to provide love and stability for Bella, his actions consistently reveal the depth of his character. I especially enjoyed the relationship that developed between Brooklyn and Bella.
The story hidden within these pages is one that tugs at the heartstrings. Themes of healing, family bonds, second chances, and finding love when least expected are woven throughout the narrative. While the romance develops at a steady pace and the emotional journey is engaging, there were moments where the story felt somewhat predictable. Nevertheless, the strong family connections and emotional depth made this an enjoyable addition to the series.
Overall, Kiss Me Forever delivered a heartwarming romance that reminds readers that even after loss and heartbreak, happiness and love can still be found in the most unexpected places.
We are ten books into the Montgomery Ink Legacy series and Carrie Ann Ryan is still full of surprises. This book was the only thing on my mind while reading it and for a few days after. If you like a workplace romance with a touch of forbidden, a surprise, a couple of twists, and plenty of banter, you will want to read this book.
Brooklyn and Royce are not even friends as we start the book, and we get to enjoy the angst, frenemies, then move to friends, and eventually lovers. It is Brooklyn’s unwavering support that warmed my heart.
Add in the whole Montgomery family who loves who they love, support all, and are not quite about any of it. I read this book way to quickly, and because I am still thinking about it, there will be a re-read soon.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

✨️ 📚 ARC 📖 REVIEW ✨️
Reese is the one person that Brooklyn is inclined to show her Montgomery attitude towards, until he asks for her help. Brookloyn can't say no to him, even though they aren't friends. We get to see all of the progression of their relationship from frenemies to friends and then lovers. There was some serious angst as their relationship started and progressed! you could feel it coming off the pages in waves!
Brooklyn gave Reese her support evem when she didn't have to, but she was more than willing to give that support because he asked for it. When he finds out he is a dad to a 12 year old girl it turns their world upside down!
Brooklyn has been through a significant loss and as she is going through life she is trying to find her peace and love again. Reece comes into her life at a time whens he least wanted to help him. but she did. With each day going by and Reese becoming a more significant part of her life.
I loved seeing hwo their relationship progressed over time and how Brooklyn lets reese into her heart. One small gesture led to so much more between her and Reese.
I loved this book and I cannot wait for the next installment!
Thank you 🫶🏻 to ✨️ Carrie Ann Ryan ✨️ for the complimentary 📚 ARC 📚. ✨️ All opinions are my own, honest, and voluntary✨️.
Omg I absolutely loved reading this book. Brooklyn has been through so much in the last year but now she is trying to just get on with her single life and try not to think of the growly man who works for the company. Reece has been trying to stay away from Brooklyn, not just because she part owns the company he works for but because he's too old for her. But when he finds out he has a 12 year old daughter she is there for him and his daughter Bella. They are perfect together but both keep denying their feelings but they can't stay away from each other. Will they admit it or keep pushing each other away. Such a brilliant ending after all they have gone through. A must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Brooklyn lost her fiancé and since then has determined to just be single and work her part of her family's business as a landscape engineer. She has a coworker, an older, seriously grumpy (and hot) guy named Reese, who growls at her more than he actually speaks to her. They're not what she'd consider friends, but he's part of her huge family and found family, so when a young teen announces herself as his previously unknown daughter, Brooklyn lets Reese know he's not alone in this new part of his life. And she has a bond with the girl, forming a strong friendship with her. Now coparenting of sorts with Reese is bringing up all these feelings...
Reese has pushed down his inconvenient feelings for Brooklyn for so long, that he can't remember when he didn't want her. But he works for her family's company, he's far too old for her, so she's beyond off-limits. But then his new discovered daughter Bella comes crashing into his life and he's so far off kilter he can't right himself. Thank God for Brooklyn, because not only has she formed a strong friendship with Bella in a short time, she's been there for him, has become his rock when he didn't even realize he needed her. Now those inconvenient feelings have become so strong he can't deny them any longer. Now he's not going to let her go, anymore than he's going to let Bella go to her horrible grandparents. His girls are staying with him!
Brooklyn and Reese's story is slow burn, but the tension between them was just itching to be given into. I just knew when they couldn't resist any longer, the sparks would become a full blown blaze, and whew! Beyond that chemistry, though, the heart of their journey, is that emotional connection that was apparent from their first words to each other. And then along came Bella, this poor girl, who was grieving her mother, had been with her horrible grandparents since, now shoved into a home with a father she doesn't know. Sure she was sullen and snarky (like all teens), but Brooklyn knew just how to reach her. I love the story that's not just Reese and Brooklyn, but equally Bella. Theirs is a beautiful, heartfelt story.
Kiss Me Forever is book 10 in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series and follows Brooklyn Montgomery as she goes through loss and finding life and love again with frenemy, Reece Fox.
Brooklyn has grown up in the Montgomery life. That means cheese, cheese and more cheese. And knowing she is loved. She has always been a princess, but she chose to be a landscape architect. She is creative and loves working with her hands.
Reece is the oldest of four boys. He was a firefighter. like the rest of his family, until an injury forced him to retire. He now works for as a fire reconstruction expert for the Montgomery's. He is an unofficial Montgomery, as are many. They tend to adopt friends of the family into the family.
Brooklyn and Reece tend to work on the same projects, however, not at the same time. He kicks off the project and gets it to a point of finishing. Then she comes in to do all of the landscaping at the end of the project. Since these two tend to butt heads, this arrangement allows them to have their space from each other.
When Brooklyn loses her fiance, everyone is concerned about her. So when she finally starts stepping out and returning to living her life again, it is a good sign. But she is dealing with some things that others do not know about.
When Dash, Brooklyn's cousin, has to cancel on her for an event where they network, Reece steps in to be her date. Although they are just colleagues, others who see them together believe she has moved on. This ignites hurtful comments and assumptions. But when one person goes so far as to threaten her business, Reece steps in. In all his growliness, he states facts to this person about the contract that was signed and their position within the decision making structure.
When Reece receives the surprise of a lifetime, it is Brooklyn that helps him navigate the new endeavor. She is there to answer questions. She is there as his support system.
With all of the togetherness they are experiencing, it is drawing Reece and Brooklyn closer. They support each other, even when the other does not need or want it. They are there for the other in work, in play and everything else.
I loved watching Reece grow. When the book began, he was not very close with his family. Yes he did family dinner with them. But based on the conversations, you know it did n ot happen often. But when he receives a surprise package, it actually draws him and his family closer together. And his brothers are a hoot. I hope one day they get their own books.
Brooklyn is dealing with some heavy emotions in this story. Everyone is watching over her, making sure she is doing okay. But sometimes their watching is overbearing. Sometimes a girl just needs to deal with what she is feeling in her own way. Even if that is making baked goods for everyone and their brother. Personally I would not object, at first. Maybe after I gained five or ten pounds.
All of Brooklyn's cousins knew that she and Reece were in love with each other before they did. Watching them each realize it and come to terms with it was magical. And in true Montgomery fashion, cheese was always in the picture.
Teddy Hamilton is always a joy to listen to and he comes through again in this story. Samantha Brentmoor proves again why she is my favorite female narrator. Listening to her play Brooklyn, snarky Caroline and rude Mrs Long showed off her range.
Brooklyn thought she found the love of her life, but while planning their forever, he unexpectedly dies. Picking herself back up, she focuses on work and family, while trying to hold on to the memories of the life she was so close to building.
Reese has worked for the Montgomerys for some time, becoming the resident expert on fire restoration. He is startled when he learns he has a 12 year old daughter that he is suddenly the sole guardian for. Bella is grieving her mom, and Reese has no understanding of parenting or children, let alone helping Bella process her grief.
I loved Bella’s relationship with Brooklyn. I have suspicions about what drew them together, beyond a female presence, and I loved watching Bella settle in and form a connection with Brooklyn. There were times I loved the love these two were developing more than I loved the main storyline. But it is an important part of Brooklyn and Reese’s story and it was one of my favorite aspects of the book.
Reese and Brooklyn are explosive together. They bicker and push each other’s buttons in a way that points to simmering attraction. But Reese isn’t looking for a girlfriend (and doesn’t want to fool around with a Montgomery since he loves his job), and Brooklyn both hasn’t moved on from her fiance yet, and also feels like Reese is too old for her. But Bella’s need for support gives them a reason to spend more time together.
There is additional drama with Bella’s grandparents and the couple that would have been Brooklyn’s in-laws had their son lived. Both families are from upper-crust social circles and insert themselves in both business and family matters because of a sense of superiority and privilege.
This is an age-gap, surprise single-father, workplace romance that was easy to read and everything I have come to expect from the Montgomery world. There are plenty of cameos from family members of both generations. I always appreciate that even though this family is so large, and there are so many books in the various Montgomery series, it is not difficult to figure out who is who (or if it becomes confusing the characters joke about the confusion on page). This is a series that always feels like you’ve been invited to sit alongside the boisterous family.
Absolutely could not put this book down! The tension and sparks between Reece and Brooklyn were evident from the first even when she thought he was the enemy. His take charge, bossy attitude grated on her nerves and so did her awareness of his good looks when she was engaged to another man. Everything started to change between them when she lost her fiancé to suicide. Reece became more watchful and protective around Brooklyn. He still liked to rile her up on occasion by calling her Freckles, (she had an abundance of them). They respected each other’s work at Montgomery Construction and he made sure to back her up when necessary. Gradually, she no longer thought of him as the enemy.
When Reece was blindsided by the discovery of a twelve year old daughter he knew nothing about, it was Brooklyn who helped father and daughter to connect and get to know each other. She was the buffer, the person that they both like and respected who got them to open up to each other and communicate. Brooklyn clearly saw the real Reece….the one who stepped up for a daughter he hadn’t known about, and would support and protect her with everything he had. He wasn’t afraid to ask questions or to ask for help. He did his research and made himself available to his daughter in every way possible. Reece was all in when it came to his daughter’s life and wellbeing.
Then the sparks between Brooklyn and Reece ignited. His protective instincts came out in full force when her late fiancé’s family publicly blamed her for his death. Even with so much on his plate with basically being a new father, Reece was not about to let this chance to claim Brooklyn go. She fit into his new life just fine, but he had to convince Brooklyn of that. Thankfully, both of their families contributed to making sure this threesome became a family unit. Both families were loud, gregarious and inclusive. Once you were in, you were accepted, welcomed and included. I loved the antics, the conversations and the dynamics of the two families.
I have to say that I loved the superheated chemistry, the banter and connection between Reece and Brooklyn. His possessive and protective side was swoon-worthy and he most definitely knew how to bring the sizzle into their intimate encounters. Brooklyn’s generous heart and empathy for Bella made it easy to admire and like her. So did her resolve in the face of her late fiancé’s family spouting vitriol for all to hear. Brooklyn and Reece made a great team. This fantastic book has my full, heartfelt recommendation.
Carrie Ann Ryan has done it yet again — and honestly, I'm starting to sound like a broken record because every time I pick up one of her books, I find myself saying exactly the same thing: she simply never misses.
As we return to the Forever Montgomery Ink Legacy series for book ten, Kiss Me Forever delivers everything I've come to love about this family and more. This time it's Brooklyn Montgomery's story, and before I was even properly settled into the book, I was already reaching for the tissues. You'd think by now I'd be prepared for the emotional punch Carrie Ann Ryan always manages to deliver, but apparently not.
A year after losing her fiancé, Brooklyn Montgomery has put romance firmly behind her. Determined to focus on herself and the landscaping and garden division of the family business that she co-owns, men are the last thing on her mind. She's rebuilding her life, looking forward instead of back, and carving out a future on her own terms.
Some of the revelations surrounding her past relationship are absolutely devastating. The way Brooklyn was treated by her late fiancé broke my heart, and yet her strength throughout those moments was truly inspiring. She refuses to let her past define her, and watching her stand tall in the face of painful truths made me love her character even more. Then there's Reese.
Oh, Reese.
He may be grumpy, but wow, is it a good look on him. A longtime family friend and employee of the Montgomery business, he's ten years older than Brooklyn, and there's always been an undercurrent between them. The chemistry has simmered beneath the surface for years, hidden behind sharp comments and mutual frustration, but now something has shifted. Those snappy exchanges slowly become lingering looks, stolen moments, and enough tension to set the pages on fire.
What made me fall even harder for Reese was the way he stood up for Brooklyn. Watching him support her, defend her, and remind her of her worth when she needed it most was breathtaking. He sees the woman she truly is and never hesitates to be in her corner. The way he loves her felt protective, patient, and completely swoon-worthy.
And just when you think you know where the story is heading, an eleven-year-old girl named Bella arrives, and Reese suddenly finds himself navigating unexpected fatherhood. One of my favourite things about this book was watching the Montgomery family do what they do best — rally around the people they love. Between Reese's family and the Montgomerys, Bella is immediately surrounded by warmth, support, and unconditional love. The bond that develops between Bella and Brooklyn is beautifully written and unfolds with all the heart, tenderness, and emotion that Carrie Ann Ryan does so well.
The romance between Brooklyn and Reese is a delicious slow burn that finally ignites in the most satisfying way. Their journey from friendship and attraction to something deeper wrapped itself beautifully around the entire story, creating a romance that felt both swoony and emotional. And that moment when Bella calls Reese "Dad" for the first time?
Yep. Tissues. Again.
Kiss Me Forever is a heartfelt story of healing, family, second chances, and finding love when you least expect it. Filled with emotional depth, sizzling chemistry, unforgettable family moments, and a hero who will leave readers weak at the knees, this is another five-star read from Carrie Ann Ryan. The Montgomerys continue to feel like coming home, and I never want to leave.
Kiss Me Forever is an emotional story about learning to deal with and move beyond the devastating grief of losing a loved one. Brooklyn Montgomery and Reece Fox come together at a time in their lives when they most need someone.
Synopsis:
Brooklyn Montgomery is technically Reece Fox's boss. She is one of multiple Montgomery cousins to share ownership of the family construction company. In the past, Brooklyn tried to pay Reece little attention. He often came across growly and grumpy. Not to mention he is ten years her senior and a close friend of her family. Still trying to get past the tragic death of her fiance, Brooklyn was not looking for a relationship.
Reece Fox's life has never been easy. A former firefighter he was forced to end his career early due to an injury. He found a new career working with the Montgomerys reconstructing homes damaged by fire. Reece's life was tilted on it's side one more time when he learned he had a twelve year old daughter. When Brooklyn and Reece's daughter made a connection, Brooklyn and Reece found themselves having to confront something they both had been avoiding for a very long time.
What I Loved:
Bella Fox: Twelve year old Bella found herself in a tragic situation. Having never met her father she is forced to live with him after the death of her mother. In the beginning she came across as angry and sullen but as time passed she began to open up enough to see a wonderful and talented young lady. Bella and Brooklyn's Relationship: Although it was never directly mentioned in the storyline, I like to think what brought Brooklyn and Bella together is the fact that they were both suffering from loss. Both in different stages but both still struggling with a tragedy. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another Montgomery book that I loved and devoured in one sitting. “Kiss Me Forever” is a swoony, heartfelt and romantic workplace, age gap romance that was a delightful book to listen to.
It’s been a year since Brooklyn Montgomery had lost her fiance and she has slowly been putting her life back together. Being in a relationship is the last thing she wants even when it comes to the handsome older man she works with who is always in her corner to help her and to keep her on her toes at the same time. Reece Fox has been working with Montgomery Builders and has always had an eye for Brooklyn but has kept his distance. And when he gets the shock of his life, that he has a 12 year old daughter named Bella that he never knew about, Brooklyn is there by his side now to help him out. As Reece navigates being a new father, the two of them grow close and the attraction that they have for each other boils over.
I’m always happy to be in the Montgomery world and I loved Brooklyn and Reece’s story. Brooklyn was happy with her fiance and had planned a long life with him. But he was unfortunately fighting some demons that no one would ever know about. I loved her career choice with the Montgomery builders and having her hands in the dirt planting for the new builds is her happy place. Reece is a swoony man and I loved how protective he is of Brooklyn and also how he lets her be independent and only stepping in when she really needs it. His brothers were a riot and I hope we get more from them in the future. It was a shock to him to find out he had a daughter he didn’t know about, especially after twelve years, but he never hesitated once he found out about Bella. I loved the chemistry between Brooklyn and Reece, it was a slowish burn and once caught, it was unstoppable. Neither of them might not have been looking for a relationship but they found each other when they needed it the most.
Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton narrated as Brooklyn and Reece and they were fantastic. Samantha brought the genuine and caring Brooklyn perfectly. Teddy was wonderful as the protective and swoony Reece.
Brooklyn Montgomery, daughter of Storm Montgomery and Everly Law (INK EXPRESSIONS). She was one of the owners of Montgomery Construction and the company's landscaper. After she lost her fiancé, she promised herself that she would never date nor fall for another man ever again. Only there's one man who was testing her willpower and she couldn't stop thinking about him even though he only saw her as his coworker and nothing more.
Reece Fox, a former firefighter now a restoration builder who works at Montgomery Construction with the one woman he wanted but couldn't have cause not only was she still grieving the loss of her late fiancé but now he found himself in a life changing situation. One he never saw coming...being a father to a pre-teen daughter (Bella). And when he needed help he found himself turning to the one person he wanted to stay away from the most...Brooklyn Montgomery.
I enjoyed the bound between Bella and Brooklyn. Also it warmed my heart how the teen gradually opened up to Reece and accepted him. They both missed out on each other's lives for over a decade but they were making new memories and creating a strong bound that would last them a lifetime.
Loved how the Montgomerys and the Foxes were there for Reece, Bella and Brooklyn as well. When the naysayers and narrowed minded people tried knocking them down, they found themselves protecting each other and their loved ones.
KISS ME FOREVER is the tenth installment in Carrie Ann Ryan's MONTGOMERY INK LEGACY series. It was heartwarming, fun and a delightful read. Carrie Ann Ryan had me hooked from start to finish. I finished the book in one go. Two thumbs up and a must read! 👍🏾👍🏾🌟🌟🌟
****I received this book, without any obligation to review.****
It was a joy to listen to Reece and Brooklyn's story, which was brought to life by the wonderful narration of Samantha Brentmore and Teddy Hamilton, both of whom brought every emotion to the fore. They were perfect. Carrie Ann certainly knows how to pick her team.
What I enjoy most about this author's books is the emotional depth she gives to her characters, most of whom now feel like old friends. I loved Reece and Brooklyn's story, an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Both Reece and Brooklyn have baggage; both have built walls around their hearts for different reasons, and neither of them was looking for love, especially not with each other, so seeing their walls slowly crumble as they learned to trust each other was a wonderful and heartfelt experience. I fell in love with Reece and loved how he cared deeply for those he loved. It was wonderful seeing his commitment to Bella, his twelve-year-old daughter, whom he knew nothing about, bear fruit as she accepted him and his love.
Reece has been attracted to Brooklyn for a long time but has kept his distance, especially once she got engaged. He had his reasons; she's younger than him, and she's one of the bosses, so dating her seemed like a bad idea. Brooklyn's reasons were simple; she was in love with and then engaged to Derek, her deceased fiancé.
Reece and Brooklyn's chemistry was palpable and not easy to ignore, and I loved every interaction, stolen glance and how the tension built as they each fought their undeniable attraction. The tension between them was impossible to ignore.
As with all of Carrie Ann's books, the road to her characters' happy ever after is far from smooth, but it's well worth travelling.
I completely fell in love with Reece and Brooklyn's chemistry. From the very beginning, the tension between them was impossible to ignore. Their banter, stolen glances, and undeniable attraction kept me hooked from page one.
What I loved most was the emotional depth of this story. Both characters are carrying their own baggage, and watching them slowly lower their walls and learn to trust each other felt authentic and heartfelt. Reece especially stole my heart with his protective nature and the way he cared so deeply for the people he loved.
The romance was filled with sweet moments, emotional growth, and plenty of swoony scenes that had me smiling throughout the book. I also adored the found family vibes, which added so much warmth to the story and made me even more invested in these characters.
This was one of those books that had me constantly saying, "Just one more chapter." From the moment I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Every chapter left me wanting more, and I found myself completely invested in Reece and Brooklyn's journey.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end. If you love emotional contemporary romances with incredible chemistry, a protective hero, and all the feels, this one is definitely worth picking up.
And that sneak peek of the next book? I'm already excited to see Dash and Aly's chemistry unfold!
Another sweet and emotional story featuring the Montgomery and Fox families!
This time it is Brooklyn Montgomery and Reece Fox’s story.
Brooklyn has had a rough year after losing her fiancé. She’s finding her way and is busy as a landscape designer and as one of the family owners of Montgomery Construction.
Reece has had a failed marriage, resigned from being a fire fighter and now works as a fire restoration specialist with Montgomery Construction.
Both Reece and Brooklyn feel their attraction but it isn’t until Reece gets the surprise of his life after abruptly finding out he has a 12-year-old daughter, Bella, and Brooklyn steps in to help Bella feel welcome, that they realize they could be together.
Very refreshing that the finding-out-you’re-a-dad is to a 12-year-old, not a baby or very young child. This adds a beautiful layer to the story. And Brooklyn is a strong woman who has a) suffered a terrible loss and b) works in a male-dominated field which unfortunately, has a host of its own problems. But being a Montgomery, she is resilient and has a loving family backing her.
And Reece, for all his growliness, wants the best for Bella. Her welfare is his greatest concern.
Thoroughly enjoyed this touching story with plenty of spunk from Bella, family interference from both Reece’s and Brooklyn’s families (in the best way!) and romance!
Wow, Brooklyn had a rough start. Kinda ripped your heart out and stomped on it. The tension that she had with Reece has always been there. Working together the banter that they’ve had, this layer of sexual tension. I have been hoping and praying that they would get together for many many books. I am so glad that they got their happily ever after but by God, they were put through the wringer to get there. Reece just absolutely drove Brooklyn crazy, got on her nerves and hated the way that she was so attracted to him. He has tried to keep her at arms length because he was afraid of what would happen should the walls come down and caution get thrown to the wind. But when his life gets turned upside down, who’s the first person he calls? Brooklyn. Watching them try to figure out how to navigate through their feelings is something to behold. Especially when his little girl gets thrown into the mix, all bets are off. I love watching their relationship develop and become this beautiful thing. Of course it’s not without its Montgomery Hijinx. It's never a dull moment there’s always something going on. Now we just have the extra layer of his crazy family added into the mix. I love watching the two families interact. It was so much fun. I’m so glad that they figured it out and finally fell in love and got they’re happily ever after it was so worth the wait.
I do not understand why I keep letting Carrie tear my heart out… then calling it fun, but she never fails to do it when she writes these stories that break our hearts and then allow her readers to experience the healing and recovery that opening your heart again can provide. I knew that this one was going to be rough since we have gotten glimpses in past stories, but I was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to let go of the heartbreak and heal with Brooklyn as she let go the man she thought was the love of her life. When she finally looks up from her grief and sees the man that has been in front of her all along it’s beautiful to see the sensual and soulful bond that develops. Poor Reece obviously has his hands full as he is tossed into the deep in of SINGLE fatherhood with a preteen daughter, one who has just lost her mother, and he is trying his hardest to prove to her that she is wanted and no one will ever mistreat her again. Brooklyn and Bella are immediate friends, and she finds herself becoming part of their family unit as Reece leans on her for support with his daughter, but it also opens his eyes to the beautiful woman that has healed from her heartbreak and just might be ready for him to steal her heart for his own. When Brooklyn’s past bites back, Reece is right there to stand at her side and remind her she is strong enough to handle anyone that tries to tear her down and that just makes her love him more. The passion and chemistry between these two have always been explosive, but used to be expressed in arguments and anger, now they finally get to show one another a much better use for that heat. I loved every moment of this story and seeing this small family form and cannot wait to see more of them in later stories in the series. I am looking forward to the next story where we will get to see Aly and Dash see the errors of their ways and learn that feelings and passion are not always so easy to keep separate. Another hit Ms. Ryan.
Intensely emotional and highly addictive! I devoured Reece and Brooklyn in one sitting and would have adored staying in their world for awhile longer just because they were so fun. Both have a powerful backstory that is continuing to tie them in knots throughout the book, but them working together and supporting each other for a change is a real joy to see. The character development is sufficient if you’re a fan of the series, but I always recommend you read them in order to get a full picture of who is who and what’s happening in everyone’s life these days. Nice drama, and a gorgeous happily ever after!
Reece is older and set in his ways and he won’t be freely admitting to anyone how long he’s been lusting after her, but when his world is turned on end, she’s the one he turns to first. Brooklyn has been in turmoil and experienced great loss, while he just received a gift, but knows how much he missed out on prior. I so wanted her to find a message to give her closure and understanding, but it wasn’t mean to happen that way I guess.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a close knit family who loves hard and supports and razzes each other always. The Montgomery family is one that everyone wants to be a part of and I could continue reading about them forever.
Kiss Me Forever is one wild ride from start to finish and one I devoured completely in a matter of hours. Carrie Ann Ryan always delivers stories with heart and in this latest Montgomery Ink Legacy story, we see Brooklyn Montgomery pick up the pieces of her life and heart and find herself drawn to her enemy, Reece Fox, against her will. He growls at her, is a family friend and frankly one big pain in the butt. Reece & Brooklyn create sparks the first time they are on the pages and I was rooting for both right off the bat. These two protested way too much even as they tried to deny the sparks, that connection between them. One thing I can honestly say is WOW the heat these two generate is scorching. I was afraid my kindle was going to combust from all that sexual tension these two have. The characters are well written, complex and definitely well rounded, so much so I expected them to walk off the pages and into my living room.
Kiss Me Forever is a character rich story that will leave you breathless as you fall more in love with the Montgomery's and their friends. I love returning to this fascinating family again and can't wait for the next book to get there. In the meantime I think it's time to go back and catch up with the OG's of the Montgomery Ink Series this summer.

After losing her fiancé, Brooklyn decides she wants nothing to do with men or dating. So why is the one man who gets on her nerves also the one who grabs her attention?
Reece works with Brooklyn at Montgomery Construction as a restoration builder. He has always been attracted to Brooklyn but has kept his distance. Not only is she younger than him, but dating the boss is never a good idea. As they slowly stop arguing and start getting along, life throws Reece a curveball: Bella, his twelve year old daughter he never knew existed.
Reece and Bella are trying to navigate their new life together as father and daughter, but Reece keeps turning to the one person he wanted to keep his distance from: Brooklyn. With Bella now the number one priority in his life, how can he allow himself to bring Brooklyn into it? Brooklyn and Reece want each other, but they're not sure how to make it happen. Life keeps getting in the way. But can they catch a break and finally let themselves be happy?
I love reading about two people trying to heal and finding their way together. They each have such strong family support systems willing to help in any way they can, but seeing them realize they need each other is my favorite thing. Reece and Brooklyn needed one another more than they could explain. I loved how they created their own little family with Bella and watching the three of them grow together.
Brooklyn Montgomery was set to marry her fiance until a devastating and shocking loss put an end to that dream. She's healing while running the landscaping arm of Montgomery Construction. Reece Fox is 10 years her senior and an employee. He's grumpy and keeps to himself. There's an undercurrent of attraction between them, but Reece is careful not to cross that line. He thinks he's too old for her and she's his boss. But then Bella shows up and suddenly Reece is a dad. Of all the people Bella connected with, Brooklyn is the one she turns to. Now Reece is spending time getting to know his daughter with Brooklyn around. And the attraction sizzles even louder. This age gap, workplace, single dad romance had me all in my feels! I was hurting for Brooklyn and cheering her on as she navigated loss and healing and sticking up for herself. I was also equally hurting for Reece for the loss of time with Bella and grieving the memories he would never have, but cheering him on as he navigates probably the toughest tween to teen era.
Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton were great narrators for this couple! Their talented voices brought out all the emotions and brought the story to life.
I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.
Kiss Me Forever by Carrie Ann Ryan, narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor, is a small-town romance, age-gap and single dad story that was touching and emotional. Reece, Brooklyn and Bella were great characters and I just loved them. Reece is in his early 40s and just living his life. Brooklyn lost her fiancé a year ago and is just trying to find her new normal. There is something there between them and yet, neither wants to do anything about it. Then Bella, the daughter Reece never knew about, shows up and wants nothing to do with him.
The journey these three go through is so emotional and touching. Reece is determined, protective and grumpy, but his girls are everything to him. Brooklyn is smart, caring and feeling a bit lost. Bella lost her mom and is now with a dad she did not know. As soon as Reece saw Bella, she was his and he would do anything for her and I loved that about him. Brooklyn and Bella connect almost immediately. Now the three of them are spending time together and getting to truly know each other. Their journey was not easy, but it allowed them to grow, love and find their way to each other. I loved this story so much and highly recommend it.
I voluntarily reviewed "KISS ME FOREVER" given by the author for my honest opinion, again she doesnt disappoint it was emotional, heartwarming, dealing with angst, healing, second chances, steam, some twists keeping you reading. Brooklyn Montgomery had a bad relationsionship wuth her former fiance bring you to tears at what she went through making her swear off men for good & Reece Fox 10yrs older & she's his boss tge growls he gives her makes her want to show him the Montgomery's real temper. Brooklyn is surprised when Reece steps up to defend her making her feel her worth, her feelings change towards him never having that with her fiance even though he's off limits being a friend of the family. Reese & Brooklyn finally give into their feelings but when 11yr old Bella arrives calling him dad things change, Brooklyn isn't use to someone coming to her defense making her feel protected & her feelings become stronger for him. Reese's family & Montgomery's come together making Bella feel their uncondtional love, especially the bond that forms between Bella & Brooklyn pulling at the strings. Will Brooklyn & Reese get a second chance at love with little Bella its a must read you can't miss Carrie Ann Never disappoints I loved it.
Enjoyable read especially with Teddy narrating the story. He has a way of adding personality to the people in the story, instead of just reading what is written. I didn’t think the book cover really represented Reece as well as it could have. He’s not an indoor business man, he’s more of an outdoor moving from site to site man. (I don’t know why that comment made me think of an indoor/outdoor cat 😂) He’s a retired firefighter that is using his knowledge to continue working and has found a way to adjust to changes he had to make, after having numerous injuries. Brooklyn is in charge of her business and is hands on with making sure it runs smoothly. Her life looks like it is going one direction and then she is blindsided by heartache and pain. Reece is living a life as best he can and I got the impression that he gave up on some of his dreams, because they never came together. He gets a wonderful surprise, which is the catalyst of bringing these two together. I kind of thought it would be a light chick read and had forgotten Carrie Ann adds a bit of pain to her books-and she certainly added the heartache to this one. Loved the family support. I loved the sneak peek of Dash and can’t wait for his story.
After the heartbreaking loss of her fiancé Brooklyn closed her heart off to love however that doesn’t meant she doesn’t notice Reese, one of her employees, even if he is both grumpy and older. Although he was always protective when it came to her when he agrees to be her plus one for a social event he shows her how protective he really is.
Reece’s life has been turned upside down when he realizes that he has an 11-year-old daughter Bella who he knew nothing about until her mother passed away and her grandparents didn’t want custody. Even though he and Brooklyn have their disagreements that changes when she finds out about Bella she forms a bond with her and now he will need to face the feelings he has always had for her.
Brooklyn and Reece are so supportive of each other when it comes to the people who judge their actions both in the past and the present. The relationship they share with each other is both heartwarming and hot and the relationship they develop with Bella as they try to help her adjust to all the changes is moving. Samantha Brentmoor never disappoints and that holds true for this story as well while Teddy Hamilton brings the swoon when it comes to Reece.
Endearing Steamy Romance Brooklyn Montgomery wants nothing to do with men, did not want to date, had no desire to be with anybody and yet Reece Fox draws her attention. She doe not know why he is working with the Montgomerys. He could work anywhere. Maybe it is just to annoy her. He is always so arrogant when she is around. Overprotective, overbearing and just plain rude even though she is higher in command and he should show her respect. Reece respects Brooklyn. It is just that she is so hot and too young. Going out with any Montgomery was asking for trouble or commitment. That was not something he wanted in any form. Plus now he shocked to find out he is the father of twelve year old, Bella, and that needs to be his number one priority. Carrie Ann Ryan never disappoints me when it comes to the Montgomery. This is another well written heart-wrenching steamy romance with so many feels. Who doesn’t love the Montgomery who encompass so many into their already large family. The banter is humorous and the love and carrying support expands my heart. Brooklyn and Reece’s story is extra special as it deals with loss, plus sudden unexpected parenthood. A gripping story that I could not put down. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
This was another hit from Carrie Ann Ryan. I loved diving into Brooklyn and Reece's story. This book kept me fully invested from page one, from meeting Reece's daughter Bella, to watching Brooklyn and Reece fall in love, to watching Reece, Brooklyn, and Bella becoming a family in their own right, this story has a little something for everyone. This story also had one of my absolute favorite tropes, grumpy x sunshine. Every time I read a book I love and later find out that it had grumpy x sunshine, I'm like oh that makes sense and Kiss Me Forever was no exception. I loved this book before I realized it had grumpy x sunshine and realizing that made me love it even more. Admittedly there were a few characters I didn't like and I found myself wincing almost every time they were on the page, however, that doesn't mean they weren't necessary to the story. These characters added a level of depth to the story that would have been missing if they did not exist. I have never been disappointed by a Carrie Ann Ryan book and I cannot wait to continue reading more from her, particularly in the Montgomery Ink universe. Spice: Ch 9, 11, 16, 17
Brooklyn Montgomery had everything going for her: a great family, a job she loves as a landscape designer, and a future to plan with her fiance until her world falls apart with a knock on her door. Reece Fox is a former fire fighter who now works as a fire restoration specialist for Montgomery Construction. Reece and Brooklyn fight their attraction to each other. How will Reece and Brooklyn react when they learn Reece has a daughter, Bella, he never knew about? Will Brooklyn be there for Reece and Bella? Will Reece step up to make a home for Bella? As Reece and Brooklyn spend more time together will they finally give into their attraction? Will Reece and Brooklyn finally confess their feelings for each other after an accident sends Brooklyn and Bella to the hospital? I loved Kiss Me Forever by Carrie Ann Ryan. Reece and Brooklyn are a great couple with scorching hot chemistry. I loved how Reece embraced fatherhood while Brooklyn stood by his side. I would highly recommend getting Kiss Me Forever and the other books in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received a free copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
