I’ve been thinking of what to write because this book took me though it and it showed how honest that first few years of a marriage could look like if you don’t do the work individually beforehand and together before marriage. I was understanding of both sides even in the wrong and right because were all human and nobody’s perfect but the huge importance of therapy and healing the inner child so that you’re able to recognize the triggers and communicate effectively. Mannnnnn that ending was such a plot twist because that’s what this book started off with being the first big issue and want and now it’s a surprise and coming at the worst time. I really want a book about Abeni because it seems we under estimating this woman’s power lol 😂

Amazing!
This was the best installment of the series yet! I’m ready for the next book ASAP! I loved it. The writing was fire. The characters spoke their truths and the development is there. I loved the world building.

Shaaaaaa! girl!
Listen. This book was so good on so many levels and also hit home in more ways than one! I related to Toni more than I ever had before this book. Once again, it touched on real topics that Black people battle every day and it was handled with so much grace and compassion. Super relatable and a great part 2…. Now when is 3 dropping?

Let’s talk about it because Forever Certified 2 did not come to play with nobody’s emotions, nervous system or psyche! This book felt like emotional whiplash wrapped in silence, pride, trauma and unmet needs. The kind where nobody is the villain but everybody is wrong. Kay’Lo and Toni are married married meaning love is present, deep and undeniable BUT communication is in a coma. What shattered them wasn’t just birth control. It was the realization that they were surviving each other instead of choosing each other out loud. Enjoying the good days tiptoeing around the bad ones. Kay’Lo’s love is obsessive, consuming, protective and rooted in ownership of us. Toni’s love is defensive, guarded and shaped by a lifetime of learning how to protect herself even from the people she loves most. Put those two together and you don’t get balance. You get combustion.
Kay’Lo breaking felt inevitable. Not because he didn’t love Toni but because he loved her in a way that required reassurance, access and emotional safety she didn’t know how to give without losing herself. Watching him spiral was painful because you could see every moment where a pause, a conversation or honesty could’ve shifted the outcome. Instead rejection stacked on rejection, silence sat where softness should’ve been and his need to feel wanted turned reckless. I hated the cheating. HATED it. I understood how the fracture widened until he stepped into something he never intended to touch.
Toni whew my goodness Toni’s trauma is loud even when she’s quiet. Her walls weren’t built overnight and they weren’t built to punish Kay’Lo but they absolutely crushed the marriage anyway. She heard repair attempts as pressure. She heard vulnerability as control. By the time she chose space the damage was already bleeding through the seams. Accountability lives here too. Self preservation equated to isolation and disconnection.
😒 Now Echo this dizzy ho 🤬 Echo is chaos wrapped in ego and bad decisions. She didn’t want Kay’Lo. She wanted validation, power and to feel chosen over another woman. When reality reminded her she was disposable, she detonated everything. Lives lost. Brotherhood fractured. Consequences that can’t be undone. The ripple effects were devastating. Play dumb thirsty 🍆 chasing games win DUMB AHH prizes!!
The Mensah family taking hits was almost harder to watch than the marriage unraveling. Loyalty was tested, lines were crossed and everybody paid a price. Pluto followed her girl code as she should have so she needed to eat her punishment like a champ. It just sucks that Pressure had to put Kay'Lo to sleep. 🫢 they knew they had to put him outside tho
I can't with the cliffhangers criminal and absolute emotional assault. I closed the book staring at the wall, replaying scenes, questioning motives (Reni is giving me a vibe) and feeling like I’d just lived through something instead of read it. This wasn’t a love story wrapped in fantasy. This was love under pressure, love mishandled, love colliding with trauma, pride and obsession. It was messy, real, uncomfortable and impossible to put down. Sha Jones really said, “Breathe if you want to. I’m not giving you the chance.” Page turner. Emotional damage!!! I need the next one expeditiously.

You started this book the same way you ended it, with punches and I loved that!!!…

Abeni is the Sugar Honey Ice Tea!!! Kwane did nothing but make Richard Lennox laugh, oh but Omá had that man twitching in his seat.
Kay’Lo was flat‑out foolish for cheating. No matter how mad you are, you don’t run off to scratch an itch. The moment Toni gave New her number, he lost his mind. And then he messed around with somebody who truly believed she could take whatever she wanted. She had no idea who she was dealing with.
She really thought she could step to Toni like Toni was going to fold. Absolutely not ! She picked the right one that day. And then she tried to twist the story to her brothers, acting like Kay’Lo was the problem, when she was the one stirring the pot. That lie is what sent everything spiraling and got her caught up in consequences she never expected.
Well, guess I have no choice now but to wait until the next book comes.

Kay'Lo! My Kay'Lo showed his ass in this book, but to be fair he's still unmedicicated and unhinged. Toni and Kay'Lo are still having marital problems and dealing with the aftermath of him finding her birth control pills. Kay'Lo says some truly diabolical things to Toni right before her cousin visits. They have some time apart, and then reconnect. It all seems so good until Kay'Lo starts to Kay'Lo again(I still love him real bad). Toni reaches her breaking point and Kay'Lo does the unthinkable for book boyfriends. He meets a pretty opportunist named Echocardiogram and decides(he's unmedicated ok...) to stick his dick in her. 🙄🙄🙄
What happens next has a ripple effect in Toni's and Kay'Lo's lives, and those around them. I'm ready for book 3. I just know my Kay'Lo is gonna come out of this.....I just know it.

Chef Kiss
This book was sooooooo good from beginning until the last word on the last page. I didn’t want it to end. I loved Toni, Sha’Nelle and Pluto relationship as well as Lo, Renza and Pressure. Lo and Toni really worked my nerves in this book. They really loved each other but they didn’t bring two whole healthy people into the relationship. Toni didn’t resolve her childhood trauma and Lo not dealing with his mental health. I loved when Toni let his daddy have it with both barrels. Lo was wrong messing with Ekco but she was wrong too. She knew he was married she will have to live with her actions and so will her daddy once he knows the whole story.
I love that Renza was living his life away from his family. I can’t wait to read his book.
Abeni Mensah did not come to play. Can’t wait for the next book. Ms. Author you out did yourself with this book.

Kay’Lo definitely was doing Toni dirty and even though she lied you don’t go lay up with the next heffa because stuff ain’t going the way you think it should in a marriage. Wow! Kaylo really need his meds! He's really wilding out! And this Echo is making things worse! What a brat she is! She caused a horrible situation just because of her ego! I can't believe Kaylo shot those two guys to death in broad daylight! And the way he went off at Pressure's house! LAWD! This is all his father's fault because of his ego as well! I knew Toni was gonna get pregnant that night when he went over to see her! Wow! I pray he makes it out of this situation! Now that Abeni is handling the situation I think he will! Sha your Books never Disappoint Me!!! I love your Mensah Men!!
Kaylo was reaching in this book and got his feelings hurt!! He snapped not all at once but gradually.. Toni ran from everything until the end.. Renza is a whole another person with his person and grimey too… Pressure ain’t change for no one including his wife… the punishment really… Pluto is still the backbone and glue to this new family I love her still… Where is Black??? Echo is on a whole another level.. petty, dreamer, delusional… narcissistic, spoiled and now victim…

I’ll first say that little chapter with Renza and Reni was NOT enough 😩 I cannot wait to read his book! I was definitely clinching my thighs together lol. I really hope Toni and Kaylo get it together! I love them together and hope they will get a happily ever after. And Echo got on my last nerves. If you gone be a side hoe, At least be a quiet side hoe lol. Can’t wait for book 3! 5 stars all around.

This book did something to me. I understood where Kay'lo and Toni both were coming from. Not saying they were right or wrong . I've lived through some parts of this . this was very emotional for me. I'm glad Toni finally chose to get help for herself. I wasn't expecting her to get pregnant with all that was going on, but I pray they can get through this very difficult time in their marriage. This book was off the hook. Way to go to Sha Jones !!

I need a drank a blunt & a cigarette after reading part 2, & i don't smoke anything ! But babyyyy tha way this book got me in a chokehold is crazy ! Sha I wanted you to let Toni tear tha skin offa Echo ass ! But tha slap was good too ! & Abeni just don't play no kinda way & i love tha way she stand on her family ! I know we going to have to wait awhile for pt 3 but I know its gonna be WORTH THA WAIT !!!! Sha, do ya thang gurlllll !

Wow!!! I’m in total Shock and my heart in Shambles
This book shows how dangerous untreated mental health can be, especially for the person suffering. Feeling trapped, overwhelmed, and misunderstood pushed everything to a breaking point. I expected consequences when his father forced the diagnosis to change…but not this explosive. The fallout was intense, and Toni is left emotionally drained once again. She truly can’t catch a break. I’m ready for the next installment.

This entire mess traces back to Kwame. The minute he inserted his meddling, hating self into his son’s business, it set off a full blown domino effect.
I cannot wait for part three because baby, this one had me stressed but in the best way. The story was engaging, thought provoking, and pulled at my heartstrings while still getting me heated. From start to finish, I was completely locked in and captivated.

I absolutely love how Sha captured real life issues in this book. Marriage is blissful but Marriage is also work. That work looks different for each Marriage and each person within that Marriage and Sha captured it beautifully! Touching on Mental Health, Trust, Defeat, Lust, Heartbreak, Support, Boundaries and a lot more. This book is packed with life and is definitely a wonderful read!

Okay I’m giving this book 5⭐️ because I was waiting impatiently after that hellava cliffhanger in Forever Certified I also, my hand was over my heart, mouth, open, chest tight an sleep deprived this whole book!
I hate secrets and Toni really kicked this one off; but I love Toni & Kay’Lo even through all their toxicity.

Stressed!
Stressed! Kay'Lo and Toni got me stressed. My stomach was in knots from the last book. This time we see Both toni and Kay'Lo struggle. Old trauma new hurt it all leads to choices and actions they may never recover from. SHAJONES is a phenomenal writer. You can feel every emotion you will sympathize and empathize with every character

I've been waiting to see Abeni in action since Pressure IV, can't wait to see what's next. The way Echo had my blood pressure raised everytime I read her chapters, mannn, I pray there's not many girls (yes girls) like her out there. Kay’Lo Mensah might be unhinged, but at least he’s consistent! Forever Certified Book 2 had me stressed out from page one. Between Echo being the world’s most delusional side chick and the family war, I am TIRED. 😩 But Kay’lo stays my favorite toxic king. Sha Jones, we need him out of those mental/legal shackles ASAP!!

Emotional
This book had me on an emotional roller-coaster. It was so good. I couldn't put it down.
The family has so much power. You never know who you are dealing with.
Kay'Lo and Toni live life went through a lot. Just when they were getting everything together. A little girl called to call her brothers. She was the one with a bad ego.
I can't wait to read the next book.
This book had me on an emotional roller-coaster. It was so good. I couldn't put it down.
The family has so much power. You never know who you are dealing with.
Kay'Lo and Toni live life went through a lot. Just when they were getting everything together. A little girl called to call her brothers. She was the one with a bad ego.
I can't wait to read the next book.

Mind blowing love story that you understand
It's real with pretension it's humbling it shows you don't know everything about everyone you don't know the full story behind anyone's pain it's not to be taken lightly you have to understand what is being said to understand what they are going through which is something we all go through

Heart Stopper!
Once again Sha weaves her words and scenarios in such a way that the world comes to a slow halt. The Mensah family in all of their regal ways are messy but beautiful. The way Sha presents the various relationships between them causes her readers to hold their breath. The last line in this book proves my point. Looking forward to the next installment.

Loved it!
This book was everything that I was anticipating and more. Everybody got something going on except Blaqson. I can't wait to see whats gonna happen with Kay'lo. Next book me please. Sha Jones you did your big one as usual.
