2.5⭐️ I liked this even less than the first book. It just felt and read very juvenile. The way they dealt with the fallout from the first book and found back together was just so quick and disjointed. Kaelric had hardly any role in this which was kind of a letdown for me. Her using the phrase "Girl Power" 🙄 The way she turned into a wolfkin so easily and was fine immediately. The only one that I really liked was Valkaryn. Badass and powerful.

Good story, ok character development, good concept. Some things just didn't make enough sense or were rushed but overall I liked the story, it was a well balanced romantasy without delving into just straight smutt and forgetting there was a story to be told. The dialog was a bit flat at times and stilted at others, forced.

This was an excellent conclusion to the Bonded By Fate Duet. I loved following Brynn once again as the story continued from where it left off in Traitor Wolf. This duet had a great cast of characters that I’m going to miss now that the series is over. I loved the way the overall story played out and I easily binge read this book in one sitting.

Read this if you like:

📖 Wolf shifters
📖 Magical weapons
📖 Strong FMC
📖 Bonded mates

Thank you to the author for the gifted copy of the book.

This book picks up three months after the Arcane Trials. Valkaryn is still hidden away, now living in Hildreth, trying to adjust to a quieter, more peaceful life—but she’s struggling to truly enjoy it. Her siblings and Kaelric’s family are still very much present, and we get updates on so many familiar faces from previous books, which I loved.

Illa continues to be her main source of information, and the author does such a great job painting vivid imagery of Hildreth—it feels immersive and alive. Meanwhile, Brynn is caught off guard by a summons from Kaelric through his beta, Godric, calling her to the capital. And yes, that fated mates connection? Still very much there.

Valkaryn’s story is honestly addictive. This dystopian world keeps expanding with journeys, war, and rising stakes. We also get more of Kaelric’s story—his ascension to the throne, the tension between him and Brynn, their arguments… and that apology? So swoony, my goodness.

As the story progresses, Brynn, Godric, and Valkaryn head toward Lunari on what becomes a rescue mission to find Maelis, Illa’s mother. The inner dialogue is one of my favorite parts—it’s sharp, emotional, and sometimes even a little funny. At the same time, Brynn is struggling with her human side, almost pushing it away in order to become what she needs to be to save others. Her determination really stands out here.

Brynn, especially, shines in this book. We see a different side of her, and I loved the contrast between her human and shifter nature. As a shifter, she’s tactical, brave, and fully stepping into her role as a heroine. This is truly where she comes into her own.

This story may end on a somewhat happy note—for now—but there’s still so much left to come, especially for Brynn. The romance builds in a way that feels earned after everything they’ve been through. Kaelric and Brynn’s journey is long, emotional, and at times painful, but it’s absolutely one worth reading—and rereading.

By the end, everything comes full circle. Brynn has grown into exactly the kind of strong, brave heroine you root for, even shaping the world around her in the process. And Brynn and Kaelric? A true power couple. Their journey is epic, emotional, and unforgettable.

Thank you to the author for the gifted eARC.

After the ending of Traitor Wolf, I wasn’t sure how everything was gonna get resolved.

Brynn and her fated wolf Kaelric are separated, until the time comes that they are ready to take the next step in protecting their people. And you know, I was worried there wouldn’t be an apology—that both of them would be too stubborn. But praise, we had some communication!

The story was fast paced and was filled with action. There was some wild magical moments, interesting fight scenes, and I never was sure what would happen next.

I flew through Savage Crown and really enjoyed the completion of the duet. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open for more from Leia Stone.

Weeellll.. This ended the way I expected it to end. I can't say I was surprised, but I am satisfied.

I love the relationship between characters though I wish more of those relationships were explored. I am glad for the twist and still loved this for all of the action scenes. ❤️

After reading Traitor Wolf I couldn't wait to continue in the Bonded by Fate duet from Leia Stone. The first book had lots of tension due to the magical trails, but will this sequel be just as exciting? What adventures away Brynn?

In my opinion, I feel like this book isn't quite what I expected it to be. However does this mean this book is bad? No, not at all. I enjoyed the storyline and feel like it is a good conclusion to the duology.

💌 Thank you to Leia Stone for gifting me an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Savage Crown by Leia Stone is the second and last book in the Bonded by Fate duology.
Unfortunately, this one fell flat for me. :(

What I loved about the first book was largely missing here: the sharp banter, engaging dialogue, and the action-packed trials that kept the story moving. Instead, the pacing felt slow, and the tension never truly built.

Character development was almost nonexistent, especially when it came to the romance. The MMC, Kaelric, is barely present throughout the book, and when he is on page, his behavior often made me uncomfortable. At one point, the FMC even considers lying to him because she knows he wouldn’t “let” her do something, which raised some serious red flags for me.

One scene in particular really bothered me. Kaelric’s mother Valkyrie) shares this story:
‘Brynn, the man dug up the fig tree in our orchard and wheeled it inside. He parked it at my bedside and told me I could have fresh figs while I rested. I forgave him instantly. Men are just idiots sometimes.’ Men are just idiots sometimes. It was sage advice.
This is presented as romantic redemption, after he told her to hurry up with labor because he was tired.
Nope. Absolutely not.

Overall I was disappointed in this book. The stakes didn’t feel high enough, the plot was very predictable, and the emotional investment I had in the first book just wasn’t there anymore.

👑🐺🩷 Savage Crown ARC Review 🩷🐺👑

Book 2 of the Bonded by Fate duet

⭐⭐✨ (rounded up)
🫑

I thoroughly enjoyed Savage Crown, but sadly cannot say the same for Savage Crown. 🥺

🫵🏼 Savage Crown is for readers who:

• enjoy romantasy with shape shifters
• enjoy a romantic storyline mixed with war and adventure
• enjoy romantasy with a headstrong FMC
• appreciate a duology with shorter books
• enjoy Leia Stone's other books
• appreciate no on page explicit scenes

The Positives:

📓 Savage Crown wraps up the Bonded by Fate duet with a thrilling mix of action, heart, and magic. It's a story about freedom, sacrifice, and redefining power told through a romantic bond and high-stakes fantasy worldbuilding. Fans of protectors and warriors, magical legacies, and romances that matter beyond the lovers themselves will likely find it a rewarding finale.

🫆 Brynn's journey is about far more than just gaining physical strength. It's a bone deep transformation of identity and purpose. Her evolution reflects the idea that true power comes from breaking the confines that you, society, and others place on you, not just raw, brute force. The physical transformation she undergoes symbolizes shedding fear and embracing one's fullest potential.

⛓️‍💥 A certain person's use of mind-control magic is more than simply a plot threat or device. It represents the ultimate form of oppression: the loss of agency. The story repeatedly asks what it truly means to be free, especially when one's thoughts and choices can be manipulated. This aspect is used as a metaphor for systemic oppression and loss of self.

🤝🏽 The narrative challenges traditional notions of rulership tied to inherited status or brute power. Leadership is reframed as service, humility, and shared destiny with the people.

🗺️ The majority of the world was built in Traitor Wolf, with Savage Crown expanding the world. I enjoyed seeing a bit more of the world and learning more about how some of it works.

The Negatives

📕 I thoroughly enjoyed Traitor Wolf, but didn't enjoy Savage Crown as much.

⌛It's a pretty short book (ebook is 231 pages) and I think it needed to be a bit longer. It felt rushed and things, especially certain things, happened too quickly for my tastes. One example: Brynn forgives Kaelric basically instantly, and I know they're mates but damn.

I want them to have to work for it at least a little. I want to feel that he's sorry, I want to feel her emotions about the whole situation. A longer chat between them regarding the situation would've been great.

"Forgive me, even though I said I’d never forgive you. It was a lie. It is myself who I will never forgive if you stay mad at me."

I really didn't like this part of the "apology." Especially the last sentence because it feels manipulative. He can't forgive himself as long as she stays mad at me. Not even if she forgives him, but if she stays mad.

But I also don't like the first sentence (or the second) in the apology letter. It started off emotionally mature and got me right in the heart (talking about not knowing how to love), but then he closes with this. And then signs off "Your Mate, Kaelric" - it felt like he was reminding her they're mates, so she really doesn't have a choice but to forgive him.

It reads as more juvenile overall, some of the dialogue in particular. Dialogue was part of why I enjoyed Traitor Wolf so much, but here it was (at times) stilted and felt a bit flat.

✍🏼 While I enjoy a quicker pace, this felt too fast. Some things needed/deserved more exploration and/or explanation, some things happened so quickly. There was a good bit of build up for a couple things and then they occurred and finished too quickly.

Tension never really built for me and I found that I didn't particularly care what happened (aside from hoping that for once Brynn's bullheaded behavior would have consequences). It read like I was only skimming for the highlights, and never read got deep into the meat of the story.

🎙️The dialogue felt stilted at times, not as dynamic as in book 1. I didn't enjoy the banter in this one as much as the previous book, either. Brynn read as a bit immature here, something I don't recall noticing in book 1. When Brynn says "Girl power." Really annoyed me lol.

She acknowledges that Kaelric is on the war front talking to Cassian. On the way to meet up with Kaelric, she thinks: "...Leaving home had felt like stepping toward war. Now I was certain of it." She literally knew she was headed to the war front, so saying it felt like stepping toward war... Well, you quite literally are. Or maybe my brain is just overthinking it.

🗺️ For fantasy fans, I feel like it's a bit light on worldbuilding and lore. It stayed surface level, and even then it wasn't super detailed.

🔮 The choice in how magic was handled, I'm torn. On one hand, it's a different and potentially interesting choice. But since this is the final book, we don't get to experience it beyond the immediate reaction. I would love to experience more of the after the events at the mountain, to see how it's handled down the road. To see if it truly does cause real change. How Brynn went about this event is true to her character, but damn it Brynn. 😂

And how/why was Cassian where he was at the end?

👥 While the MCs had a lot of development in book 1, they didn't have any meaningful development in this book (particularly in regards to the romance).

"The family tree was starting to confuse me." Maybe it's just due to (or in part due to) my brain not functioning as normal, but I struggled to keep some of the connections and names straight. I don't recall having an issue with that in book 1, but, again, that could just be my memory not being back to normal yet and I did struggle to some degree. I don't remember either way. But we do get more secondary and tertiary characters in this book, though.

Brynn is stubborn and strong willed, nearing a point of being bullheaded at times. She's gonna do what she wants, what she thinks is right and screw anyone who stands in her way. And because it always worked out fine time and time again, it felt contrived in places. She didn't care (much, if any) about the undue stress she was putting on her loved ones, the danger she put herself and others in. With little to no training, she's able to best the best swordsman around, but she does have a super-enchanted sword guiding her, so I can suspend disbelief to some extent.

She forces two people she cares deeply about to do something they very much don't want to do (something that could've ended VERY badly for them if the results had been different). It felt selfish of her. Typing all this out is making me realize I really do not like Brynn now. 😆

🩷 The romance worked so well for me in Traitor Wolf. However, Kaelric isn't present for much of the book and most of what we get with him is mind speak between he and Brynn. Their dynamic didn't feel like a healthy partnership. At one point, she knows he isn't going to "let" her do the dangerous thing she wants to, so she plans to lie. Or all the times she tells him she isn't part of his pack, she isn't his Alpha, so she doesn't have to listen to him. But then when she is, she still does what she wants. I wasn't sold on their love and at times found it made me uncomfortable.

I'm not even the biggest fan of love triangles, but Traitor Wolf left me thinking that might be in store. This book shut that down, but in a way that I didn't love. It made me sad for the other guy.

🌶️ Fade to black. What I didn't enjoy was "I wanted to bed my mate. I’d been patient. So had he. It was time." Idk, the way it was handled just didn't work for me.

Thank you @ Leia Stone author for the opportunity to read this eARC. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and freely given.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Savage Crown by Leia Stone
Quick take: A powerful, emotional conclusion that raises the stakes and delivers real payoff — Savage Crown takes everything that worked in Traitor Wolf and pushes it into harder choices, deeper sacrifice, and a crown that’s anything but easy to claim.
What I loved:
Brynn stepping fully into her power. The underdog from the Dregs is gone — in her place is a woman forced to make brutal decisions for love, survival, and an entire world. Her growth felt earned, even when the path there was painful.
Kaelric and the bond under pressure. Their connection is tested in ways that hurt (in the best way). Loyalty, restraint, and sacrifice define their relationship here, and I loved seeing how solid they remain even when everything else is falling apart.
The darker magic and consequences. This book doesn’t shy away from cost — power comes with loss, and freedom demands change. I appreciated that the story didn’t take the easy route just to wrap things up neatly.
The emotional payoff. While a few transitions felt a bit rushed, the heart of the ending landed. The choices made felt intentional, meaningful, and true to the characters we’ve followed since book one.
Overall:
Savage Crown is a satisfying, high-stakes finale that honors Brynn and Kaelric’s journey. It’s emotional, intense, and grounded in the same mix of danger and heart that made me fall for Traitor Wolf in the first place.
Final thoughts:
If you loved the trials, the bond, and the fierce underdog energy of book one, this conclusion delivers growth, sacrifice, and a hard-won crown. Leia Stone remains an auto-buy author for me — and this duet is absolutely worth the ride. 🐺👑✨

This book feels like when a film is made of a book and half the plot is missing and lots of convenient ways to progress that doesn’t quite make sense (like Valkaryn the most powerful weapon just happens to have a door unlocking power which then makes it super easy for them to get into the castle). The storyline was very A to B and rather than focus on world building there was just a lot of ‘deep’ descriptions of unnecessary stuff, I like a beautifully written book but this was all stye over substance and read like the author was trying too hard to make it poetic instead if making things interesting or make sense. It’s been a while since I read the first one so I can’t remember what the main characters were like then but I feel like they were devoid of any personality other than loving each other in this book. SPOILER IN THIS BIT!! Despite this I would have said the book was decent initially but the more it went on the more I felt like it was rushed and the ending is 1* for me, they get rid of magic among the Elites which takes literally 1 minute and is the easiest quest to ever exist, and the Elites are just like yeah that’s cool no big deal even though it was the backbone of their society in the first book and the entire reason they shunned the dregs? There was more time spent describing the sun shining through a window than there was on the fallout of this when it could have easily been its own (spin off) book on the Elites adjusting to life without magic, feel like the author just thought it was easier to skim over this so to focus on *check notes* the boring and cliche ending of Brynn getting pregnant

Shifters. Wolves. Magic. From the very first page, this story pulled me in and never let go. When Kaelric discovers that his aunt, Maelis, is still alive—but being held captive by the ruthless King Harron—everything changes. What follows is a dangerous journey into enemy territory as Brynn is escorted to the war camp of Loroc in a desperate attempt to rescue her.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the cast of characters. Brynn is a strong, determined, and incredibly likable heroine who refuses to back down, even when the odds are stacked against her. Kaelric is equally compelling, and together their chemistry and emotional connection made every scene they shared even more engaging. I also loved the supporting characters—Godric, Elia, Valkryn, and the rest of their found family—each added depth, heart, and personality to the story.

The romance was sweet and satisfying, with a perfect balance of tension and tenderness. The fated mates trope was done beautifully, and the shifter elements blended seamlessly with the action and magic. I especially appreciated how the relationships—romantic and familial—played such a big role in driving the story forward rather than feeling like an afterthought.

The pacing was fast and gripping, making this one of those books that’s impossible to put down once you start. Every chapter left me wanting more, and the stakes continued to rise in a way that kept me fully invested until the very end.

Overall, this was a fantastic shifter romance filled with heart, action, and just the right amount of magic. If you love fated mates, strong heroines, found family, and immersive fantasy worlds, this book absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR. I’ll read anything Leia Stone writes, and this one did not disappoint.

A satisfying conclusion

Savage Crown by Leia Stone is the fast-paced conclusion to Leia Stone’s Bonded by Fate duet. Picking up shortly after the events of the first book, the story follows Brynn and her family as they adjust to life in new and unfamiliar territory.

The emotional fallout from Brynn’s decisions in the previous book weighs heavily on her, leaving her searching for purpose. Despite her uncertainty about her life and her future, Brynn dedicates herself to helping both her own people and Kaelric’s.

When Kaelric calls for Brynn’s help in his war to reclaim his kingdom, she sees an opportunity to make amends. The dynamic between Brynn and Kaelric is complex, but they manage to work together against the current king. One of the standout aspects of this book is Brynn’s growth, she truly comes into her own, earning the respect of the wolves in Kaelric’s pack.

Leia’s world building is immersive, drawing readers into a narrative filled with action and suspense and keeping the tension high throughout the story. Brynn’s evolving relationship with Godric, who supports her training, adds another layer of depth to the story.

As Brynn becomes an integral part of the war effort, her journey is both celebrated and hard-won.

Overall, Leia delivers a satisfying blend of character development, action, and emotion. Fans of the first book will appreciate how the story expands and will find plenty to enjoy in this engaging fantasy adventure.

Never Thought A Tree Would Make Me Cry…

Seriously! If you know, you know.

Savage crown was a wonderful read! The pacing was excellent, and I just fell more in love with the characters. I really liked how the plot did not feel rushed, but it also never felt slow.

I absolutely love Brynn. I love how she is so strong, but she also has moments of vulnerability and weakness. The relationship between her and Val during this book had me in a chokehold. The mother daughter bond was absolutely precious.

Kaelric was also so sweet. I liked how everything was resolved between them. I liked how once they were together, they were together. I also enjoyed the several callbacks to my favorite line from book one. If you know, you know. Ugh. So freaking good.

The action wrapped up really nicely. I was very satisfied with the ending. I had moments where I teared up. I had moments where I laughed. I had moments where I cheered. This book was so much fun.

I would have enjoyed a more action scenes with the two of them present. I know there were lots of events that him being there wouldn’t be wise, but I would have enjoyed watching them slay together. That’s really my only complaint. But it isn’t much of a complaint! It wouldn’t stop me from reading this book again!

Content: Kisses (and fade to black scenes), no explicit on-page content, some language, some gore

I received Savage Crown in return for an honest review from the author.

I've been anxiously waiting for the conclusion to the Bonded by Fate duet. Brynn and Kaelric have won the trial but it's far from over as they still need to take back the crown and free his people. I love Brynn and Kaelric they have this sweet connection that just works even though they are from different worlds. The characters are great because you can really connect with them you can't help cheering Brynn on.

I devoured this one in just one reading session just like the prior book. I was hooked from first to last page and the ending was perfect. The concept is unique and exciting who doesn't love an epic fantasy story with a sprinkle of romance. I loved Val she was such an intricate unique part of the story. I loved the first book and the second book was everything I needed to complete the duet perfectly.

I'm a huge fan of all of the authors werewolves books and have been reading her books forever. I can honestly say I think I've read all her books. They are all action packed fantasy with just a touch of romance. With characters you can connect with and can't help falling in love with. I love the Bonded by Fate duet it's one of my favorites by the author and highly recommend if you enjoy werewolf epic fantasy. I can't wait to see what comes next from this author as she's such a gifted storyteller.

I absolutely devoured the first book in this series—it had me hooked from page one and left me desperate for more. So naturally, I went into book two with sky-high expectations. Unfortunately, this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

My biggest issue? The forgiveness came way too fast. After everything that happened, I needed to see him work for it. I wanted groveling. I wanted him on his knees, proving he was worthy of a second chance. Instead, the resolution felt rushed and unearned. She deserved better than a quick turnaround, and honestly, so did we as readers.

The book also teased a love triangle that had so much potential. The jealousy angle was right there, ripe for the taking, and it just… fizzled. I kept waiting for the tension to ramp up, for that delicious will-they-won’t-they energy to make the eventual choice feel satisfying. But it never fully developed, leaving what could have been an emotionally charged dynamic feeling flat.

It’s frustrating because all the ingredients were there for something great. I still have love for these characters and this world, but book two left me wanting more—and not in the good way.

Love

I adored this story. For the first time in a long time we are given an FMC that is strong. She grew into her strength and it took time. She was both mentally and physically strong despite her fears and flashes of doubt. She didn't run floundering into danger like a damsel in distress—she ran into danger with the skill she was taught, and guidance/back-up from Valkyrie.

Brynn wasn't the back-up to the Alpha in the last battle, she was the star and she faced it without him. The MMC trusted her and Valkyrie to handle taking down the false king. And that's what made me love this book. She didn't need him to save her, she saved them all. She kept moving forward and meeting every challenge. She was an awesome character IMHO and the MMC was great because he could see reason, even if he didn't like it. He wasn't the kind of Alpha that appears in most books: "I'm Alpha, my word is law and you will obey no matter what."

I do think it'd be entertaining to see the Elites floundering around without magic so it's a good thing my imagination is having no issues conjuring what that'd be like🤭

I am fascinated by how everyone wants me to believe that Brynn will make a wonderful queen despite the fact that she spends the majority of the book making selfish decisions without any thought for the ramifications her actions will have on others. Brynn has SOME good moments, but I often found myself questioning her and her thought process. She makes some really risky decisions based on nothing but a whim and a prayer, and thank goodness she has plot armor or she would've died like 10 chapters into the book. Kaelric is nothing more than eye candy and a pain in the ass in this book. I get girl power and feminism and whatever, but Kaelric doesn't do anything besides yell at Brynn or kiss Brynn the whole book. I felt like a lot of characters were put on the back burner, and I absolutely hated how Cassian was treated this book. The most interesting character was Valkryn, and she is a inanimate SWORD. I'm glad I read this book so I could see how the kingdom war was played out, but man did the characters drive me crazy.

The vibes:
- Book 2 in duology
- Wolf shifters
- YA Romantasy
- Fated mates
- Closed door/ fade to black

My thoughts:
The conflict between the main characters felt not only young to me, but very immature. It definitely gave the angst of teenage conflict (ie “I was over him!”). Along with this, Brynn was extremely manipulative to all of those closest to her in order to get what she wanted. Yes, her intentions were good, but I struggled with her means to get there. At one point there’s this big “plan” of battle and it’s literally just “I’ll crush him” followed by “girl power” and a wink. Idk. I wanted more.

There was some lagging in the pacing with a lot of new plots springing up along the way. There was a lot going on at once, and I think some focus would have been beneficial. Everytime we were making progress on one plot point, another string of plots would emerge.

Note / spice content: language ( 1 s ); closed door/ fade to black

This duet was actually really good. The dialogue improved so much in this book from the first and the plot was steady, entertaining, and suspenseful all the way through. I love Valkaryn and the way these duet really highlighted her as one of the main characters. Making the strong weapons in the world being a woman scorned was never not going to be good.
The storyline was so unique to read it’s nice to indulge in something that hasn’t been written a hundred times before. The woman empowerment and emphasis on equality and classism throughout the book was really well written.
Honestly I think the characters were my favourite part which was new for me. Even down to the creator acting towards Brynne in a fatherly way, and Garrick truely caring for her wellbeing melted my heart.
The dialogue again was not my favourite and it was definitely a little slower than the first book but it was definitely one of the better romantasys I’ve read this year.

I absolutely loved reading Savage Crown! I could not put it down. It is almost like Hunger Games meets Leia Stone’s Ember War and Gilded City series. It was amazing! I felt like I was in the story watching it happen. I love how immersive Leia Stone’s books are; I always feel like I am a part of the story. I will say in book one, Brynn does have some flaws, but as you read through the book, she works through them and isn’t as flawed throughout this book.
I love the fated mates trope; it is one of my favorites. I love Kaelric; he is one of my favorite characters. I also thought Godric was pretty funny. I thought the Wolfkin way was sweet and awesome. I love their little community. It makes me wish that I could be part of this story.

I highly recommend reading Savage Crown. I had such a good time reading it!

This gem was the second book in the Bonded by Fate duet. It far surpassed my expectations, but that is unsurprising because the author always exceeds them. Her writing style is unique and imaginative. And don’t even get me started on her characters…. Especially in this series.
Against all reason, human Brynn was entered into The Arcane Trials and matched up with a very determined wolf shifter, Kaelric. He needed the magic sword, the King Killer, to save his people and Brynn was paired with him to win it. And win it, they did. But at what cost?
Brynn and Kaelric are dream characters, but as with any great story, life altering circumstances cause a rift between them, and we keep turning pages to see how these problems can be unravelled by our hero and heroine where nothing is quite as it seems.
I loved this series.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I did book 1. I know it’s a short book but the solutions to conflicts felt super rushed. I didn’t feel like there was a big enough build up or it was quick results that happened to a few of the conflict scenarios.

This book doesn’t really touch on side characters and there’s not much interaction with anyone besides the main 2 characters. It even feels like the MMC is left out of quite a bit of the book. I felt as though I was skimming the story instead of living it while reading. Which, could be because it’s a shorter book and we needed to focus on the main story, but still. It took away some of the enjoyment by clipping scenes.

Over all it was hard to finish this one and I really had to push to finish. I even took a break and read something else half way through.

Brynn Came to Slay

Thoroughly enjoyed the personal growth of the main characters, both as a couple and individually. Brynn really came into her own, making choices to better herself and showing true strength in her abilities. Kaelric also showed great development in learning to trust her and understanding when to lead and when to follow.
Beyond the leads, the side character building was good. I loved the friendships Brynn formed with Kaelric’s people and family, as well as her friendship with an Elite. It made the world feel richer.
While I enjoyed the interactions with the main villain and the impact it had on the ending, there was an added event at the end that seemed to swiftly cut off other side quests the story could have had. Overall, a great read with wonderful character arcs!

What an absolutely fantastic ending to this duology. Leia Stone is fast cementing herself as one of my fave authors. Brynn, the FMC is such a complete badass. She is fierce, loyal, and courageous. She puts her whole self behind what she believes in and I really relate to her as a character. Brynn and Kaelric’s bond is unmatched. I love how they love each other and the loyalty both of them have for those the love. Such a great pair and story overall.

Highlights:
✨Fated Mates
✨Werewolves
✨Loyal Fierce FMC
✨Protective MMC

Favorite Quote: “Love was messy. Love was flawed. Love was forgiveness. And sometimes men were just stupid.”

Thank you to the author for the advanced reading copy. My opinions are my own.

Literally crying in chapter one! Leia seems to know how to write that I get instantly emotional. You can just feel what the character is feeling. I highly enjoyed the conclusions to this story. It is fast-paced but also gives you all the information you need to keep you hooked and invested in the story.

So happy Kael finally got his head out of his ass! It was great to see the relationship grow and I really liked a lot of the side characters. Like I am in love with Godric! Best uncle ever!! I think he quickly became my favourite character!

Great duology if you’re looking for a lot of action and a whole lot of character development! Great story, great characters, great flow, and a unique magic system!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️

📖 + 🎧 Immersive Reading
Savage Crown:
Bonded by Fate, Duet Book 2
By: Leia Stone
🎧 Audiobook Narrated By: Annalyse McCoy
Length: 6 hrs and 39 mins
📖 Read Using Kindle Unlimited

This was a really well narrated book.👏🎧

I was so relieved that Brynn eventually stopped being such a bratty big baby.🙄🙏🏼 I'm not sure I could've coped with another whole book of her and Kaelric butting heads and then acting like brats.🤷🏻‍♀️

The 'found family' aspect grew much more in this book. It's my favourite trope, so I was over the moon.😃 Godric, Elia, and Cassian were amazing.😍

Once our couple succumbed to their love, things ran much more smoothly!💘🐺

I bawled when Brynn and Val went into the mountain.💔😢

This had a lovely epilogue.🫶

This book contains
War
Shifters
Magic
Humans
Violence
Fated mates

A perfect ending to book 1. This book is an easy read and flows nicely. Picking up where we left off book one and goes onto another adventure for our main characters. Instead of being all about Kaelric and Brynn this one is more of brynn and Valkaryn’s adventure. Brynn shows the strength and determination of a wolfkin all while battling with just being a human until they have some hard set backs and Val tells her the story of her orgins and her way into becoming the weapon she is. Without giving to much away you wont regret picking up this book and finishing off the world of wolfkin.
