Enjoyed continuation of Lizzie and John’s relationship. Finding out that your lover is a member of the aristocracy and billionaire with a past is one thing...but some of the conversations from John are quite parochial and working class, not quite in character with who he is. There are definite class issues here...and regardless of people thinking we are now in a class free society, not so...this is a most unusual situation between Lizzie, from an upper middle class family and John a member of the aristocracy. Interested to see where Portia takes this.

The fact that he has taken the wrap for a past lover over a dangerous driving accident is not my idea of good for the person who committed the crime. I had mixed feelings about this aspect. I do like the way he commits to supporting Ros though.

Lizzie wants more...but not presented with a fair accompli as John tends to do...Will the relationship develop?...I hope so. They explore their sexuality and find more and more their compatability and ability to share their kink side. This is BDSM lite...make it up as you go and not for serious officionados.

Yet despite my criticisms I’m enjoying this series, and give this border 4 stars. Off to read the final part.

I jumped into book two of Portia Da Costa’s Accidental trilogy immediately after finishing book one. I’ve been a fan of Portia for several years and looked forward to reading this trilogy, so much so that I hung on until book three was available so I could read all three back to back.

Book one was an excellent read and a great set up for a longer tale. If you haven’t read book one, then this review might be a tad spoilery — so look away now. In The Accidental Mistress, Lizzie Aitchison, mistaken for a high class call girl by gorgeous millionaire John Smith, is now in a relationship — of sorts — with him. They’re enjoying fiery, sexy fun at every available moment, and Lizzie is besotted — John knows just how to satisfy her every need, in and out of the bedroom.

But, as is the way, things can’t be perfect forever. On the one hand, John seems equally enamoured with her, lavishing her with time, gifts and smoking hot bedroom action. But on the other hand, he just won’t open up. She learns the tiniest titbits about his past here and there, but nothing of significance, and she knows there’s so much more to her gorgeous golden millionaire. He claims to want to open up, but seems afraid of something. Either that or he just doesn’t trust her. Lizzie is determined to hang on in there, hoping to earn that trust — but as things grow increasingly complex, she begins to wonder whether she’s any more than just his mistress.

The Accidental Mistress is an excellent middle book in this trilogy. We’ve had the set up, yes, but there’s no slowing down of the action in this novel. It’s equally intriguing, sexy and fun, and I found myself flicking pages speedily to find out what happened next between these incredibly likeable characters. There are more sub-plots in this book too, and combined with the main plot, I’m expecting an explosive finale. Highly recommended.

I loved this book even more then the first one, them getting together as a couple was perfect. The sex scenes were so hot, I loved how well the BDSM scenes were written. John was so dominant, so caring, I loved the gifts he would buy her and how he would help her in other ways behind the scenes, so sneaky but so smart. Lizzie was fun, carefree, loving, and still strong, I really liked her in this book even though I didn't like when she would question if she was good enough for John. I cannot stand Clara, what a mean and cruel person. What we discover in this book is shocking and I never even thought of this possibility. We learn about a woman named Rose and how John is taking care of her, this is when many things are revealed. I thought it was beautiful how John bought something that he fully intended to share with Lizzie and to start a future with her. I enjoyed reading about Shelley and Brent and how they meet people that may become very important people in their lives, I especially think it is cool who Brent meets, again. I loved it when he realized he loved her and because of this she finally accepted that he really wanted her and she made a big decision right then and there. I can't wait to see what all happens in the next book.

I was so gripped with this book, I just couldn't put it down. I loved it. I really enjoyed the way John and Lizzie's relationship moved up a level. I was so involved with their relationship.

When Lizzie Aitchison first met John Smith in the Lawns Bar of the Waverley Grange Hotel, she didn't realise that John thought she was an escort in search for a client. Lizzie enjoys a fiery relationship with John, her gorgeous and incredibly rich older man. John seems to have a dark side and a past he wont talk about. But being seduced by a billonaire will Lizzie ever be more than a rich man's mistress?

a little bit monoton in the begining until in the middle of story. The conflict and revelation in the end of this book save the book itself.

I'm impressed that the second instalment of this trilogy retains the quality of the first and balances the attention to character depth with the *ahem* scenes that this kind of book was written for.
I find myself really wanting to find out the secrets and revelations of John's past and where it will take them both.

The storyline starts to get a bit more involved and less light hearted in the next installment of the series. I did enjoy however how the story was expanded to include perspectives from Shelly and Brent as they started out on new relationships. It didn't burn as hot as the first book but it certainly smouldered in places!

Honestly, I began to become frustrated with the main character's inability to communicate and so easily dismiss and forget about relationship/serious issues by just having sex. There was definitely opportunity for so much depth and I was ready to dig deeper into both MC's origin stories. It did happen, but felt like such a small portion of the book, largely rushed at the end of the book.

This book is much better then the first, and very deserving of a 5 star review.

After a few weeks apart, John comes running back to be with Lizzie, who has been just as miserable as he has these past weeks.
This time however instead of everything being about sex (which is amazing when we get to it by the way), we actually learn about John's troubling past.
We meet a set of new characters, John's brother Tom, the mysterious Rose along with Hannah, and lets not forget Sholto.

We have some very sweet and tender moments between John and Lizzie, watching their relationship grow just make your heart race, and yes still lots of steamy sex, not just for Lizzie and John :)

John is still all controlling, however is easing up a little with Lizzie's strength to say No.
He tries to justify his controlling nature and his bad habit of throwing his money around to get his own way, which gives us more insight to the man John is.
In loving that Portia isn't making Lizzie someone who just bows down to John's every whim like a lot of books do.

Accidental Mistress seems to be a little more mellow (and i mean that in the best way)
This books is the "getting to know each other book"
We get to hearing more about the accident that lead John a stay in prison when he starts to open up about his past to Lizzie.
And there quiet a funny scene with John speaking to Lizzie's mother

This one takes a little twist, we also have a few parts about Brent and Shelley's new romance interests.
Which i must admit is a breath of fresh air, it is also my only heritage about the book.
Brent's new love interest is most welcomed after his mishap in TACG, however it just seems for too coincidental, but it can happen.
Shelly on the other hand, it kind of was annoying that it seems to be heading in the except same direction as John and Lizzie, which let's face it, is a one in a million shot.

Very sad i rushed this book, but it was very hard to put down once i charge.
Anxiously waiting for the third installment to complete the series.

The spanking in this book were extreamly erotic. I had to stop a few times because I was that turned on. My B.O.B got a ton of use during this book.

It takes a very specific sort of erotic book to get me going and Ms Da Costa got it spot on here for me. There’s a real storyline between fairly tasteful sex scenes, with a bit of naughtiness and spanking but nothing to disturb my sweet, innocent mind… ;)

This is the second book in the Accidental trilogy but I found it read well as a standalone novel. Lizzie has won sexy, rich John over from a “client” to a boyfriend but can she ever win his heart? And is she just another acquisition for him, to be bought and controlled? Despite her worries, Lizzie is only too ready to give her heart and body over to this exquisite older lover.

I have to admit that John is a HOT hero in this book, although his wont to control Lizzie did put me off slightly – I never felt certain that he would look after her heart. Portia Da Costa writes a wicked sex scene, without any clunky, jarring sex talk, although at times I found John’s speeches unrealistic.

I loved the side plots to this story with Lizzie’s jealous but lovely housemate, Shelley and her forays into a naughtier sex life, and her gay ex-lover Brent and I’m looking forward to seeing how all three get on in the next book in the trilogy.

DOUBLE WOW!

I say double WOW because part 2 of the Accidental Series is every bit as good as the first book.

In Book 2 we continue to follow the kinky antics on John & Lizzie. Plus Lizzie's roommate take a turn at finding love as well! (This reader is hoping the final book -#3- continues with their love stories as well)

In Accidental Mistress, John & Lizzie become a steady item and the reader is taken through some funny, sad and down right kinky times! The book is just awesome in my opinion and I as m looking forward to the Accidental Bride? But I have to wonder just which one turns out to be the Accidental Bride - Lizzie, Shellie, Brent, Clara or another party yet mentioned. And if it's Lizzie how does she get along with his aristocratic family?

Highly recommend this book as well as the Accidental Series

After being mistaken for a high class call girl, Lizzie and John have finally gotten together. They both finally acknowledge their feelings for one another and try to work their relationship out. John is slowly sharing things from his past with Lizzie while pushing her to further their relationship.

I love this series. John and Lizzie's passion just leap of the pages. You can feel the heat and chemistry is amazing and undeniable. There are many many steamy scenes between John and Lizzie, but what I enjoyed the most was the additional story plots of Shelley and Brent. They are both trying to find their own happily ever afters. I am interested to see where they go with their significant others.

Have bought the first book "The accidental call girl" and this one as audio books from Audible.
I always loved Mrs. Portia da Costa but it was my first time listening to Imogen Church narrating a book. Simply brilliant! Good that I could still work around the house and listen to the book. Be aware of where you are in case you decide to listen to these book.... you may get kind of "embarrassed" and with a hot face. LOL

Oh John Smith! He's too hard on himself but Lizzie is right there to be the support that he needs. I like how this book transitions nicely into the progression of their relationship. Lizzie is finally recognizing her strength and John is listening to his heart rather than run from it. It makes sense that we get a glimpse of Brent and Shelly's lives too. This book didn't feel rushed or predictable in any way and I can only have high hopes for the last of the trilogy.

un tome pas très concluant au final, il n'apporte pas assez à mon goût. Par contre, j'ai beaucoup aimé les passages concernant les rencontres des colocataires de Lizzie.

Interesting. Not exactly what I expected - Lizzie and John's relationship continues to develop, yet her roommate's lives are featured rather more than I expected. The conflict in this volume is quite thin, albeit realistic. Looking forward to volume 3, to see how this all resolves.

Tahle knížka, série, se mi v podstatě líbí. Tenhle díl byl o něco lepší než ten první, už jen proto že se do něj zakomponovalo víc příběhů. Ale stejně si myslím, že ten třetí bude nejlepší z celé série.:)
