Fences and Frost

Hailey Hartley has crafted a tale of ranch life that makes you feel as if you are there from the daily calm life being suddenly disrupted by murder! A young woman, fourth generation rancher, is pulled into solving what first seemed a tragic accident, but her border collie kept pointing to clues that couldn't be ignored. It didn't help that the victim was a greedy, scheming, unlikeabe sort of man who many had reason to want him 'gone'! Read the book for yourself to see if you can unravel the motives and clues to bring peace to the valley again before someone else gets hurt. Enjoy!! It's worth the read!

Cass was one of the more unique cozy mystery characters being a lone rancher on the family ranch. She did have a ranch hand and a bestie who ran her own ranch too. Cass never signed up for finding a dead body on her property and promptly started down the proverbial rabbit hole known as amateur sleuthing.

Cass’s dog Scout had a nose for clues especially when it came to one particular person. Would Scout eventually find the clue that broke the case wide open? Take a load off and enjoy this fun read to find out!

Great story!

I loved this book! My sisters swear by border collies, but I always had Queensland heelers and Australian shepherds! There's nothing like a good cattle dog! Great storyline and writing!
