When her brother goes missing, everything in Lily Cage's world turns upside down. Born a Hunter female, the last thing she needs is an attraction to Dallas, the scariest dragon in existence. The one known as The Destroyer. With peace between the Hunters and Dragons hanging by a thread, one wrong move on Lily or Dallas's part could catapult them all back into war. But with Dallas playing by his own rules and someone on the outside decimating her life, they have a choice--stand and fight, or lose everything they never realized they wanted.
Lily is a hunter, her biological purpose is to hunt down and destroy dragons. She's not a killer though, she's a lover and a compassionate person. She holds a dark secret that could destroy her new found happiness though. After years of torture at the hands of a twisted family, she's finally found a place she belongs with the dragons. She has a new baby niece and a wonderful sister-in-law, plus a bunch of new protective dragon brothers.
Dallas is a tough as nails dragon that has earned the nickname "The Destroyer". He leaves nothing in his wake with his quick temper and careful planning. He's the head of enforcement and safety now that the second in command is missing. Dallas hates hunters, he leaves none alive.
When Dallas meets Lily his world is turned upside, which prompts a pretty violent reaction from him. He may be attracted to Lily but that doesn't mean he doesn't suspect her of treachery. Together they have to work together to survive, if they don't that may be the end of not only them but everyone they care about.
This was a cute dragon story with plenty of action, alpha male behavior and suspense thrown in. Dragon lovers should really take a peak at this book since it's only hundred and some pages. I did really like this one better than the first, it felt like the author got her footing with this one. I was also glad there was more focus put on Dallas and Lily as well as other characters.
Title : Dragon's Redemption Dragon Lore Book 2 Author : Eden Ashe Reviewed by : Stephanie Jordan ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ All I can say is WOW the very first book I read from Eden Ashe Series Dragon Lore Book One Dragon Heart was a phenomenal , but then I read Dragon Redemption Book Two about Dallas the Destroyer and Lily Cage. Dragon and a hunter don't mix well as a couple or do they? Adventure, Kidnapping, Fighting and Hot Steamy Sex. THIS IS A MUST READ. Now me I'm waiting for Book Three... I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
I loved Lily and Dallas' story! She's a Hunter and he's a Destroyer, and a relationship between them wouldn't be smart (and could likely start a war). He's a warrior and has always believed that love is a weakness, that loving someone would be his greatest weakness. Their attraction is fierce and immediate, but both struggle not to give in. But with her brother missing, and someone out to get her, Dallas promises to do all he can to protect her. I loved the interaction between all the shifters, they are a band of brothers. I loved the way that Lily and Dallas reacted to each other - emotional, sweet, sexy. The plot moves fast - there's tons of action and will keep you turning the pages because you have to see what happens next. This is a wonderful series by a talented author and I can't wait for the next book!
I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Dallas doesn't trust hunters, and he most definitely does not trust Lily. She's a hunter but why can he not get her out of his head. Lily has a horrendous past because of her stepfather and now Adrian is missing and thought dead. And why does she feel so safe around Dallas? He's said he doesn't want her or trust her but neither can help themselves from feeling something.
What a great read. I gave this book five stars. I couldn't help but fall in love with this world in the first book and this second book sucks you in even more. The strength Lily find with Dallas at her side is inspiring. The tension all through the book left my tummy in knots and desperate for everything to be ok. The fear for what is happening to Adrian, Dallas and Lily is a palpable thing along with the flowering emotions between Lily and Dallas.
When Dallas the Destroyer (what a reputation!) and Lily Cage - brother of Hunter Adrian and sister in law of dragon Seren meet at Daniel and Shelby's wedding tempers - and sparks - start flying. He wants to kill her b/c she's a hunter and doesn't trust her, and thinks she knows where her brother is. She pushes back and does quite a bit to surprise him and the other dragons. However since she's a Hunter and prime target, Dallas is set to protect her.
I liked how Lily started strong, but I had to drop this to a 4 b/c she's supposed to be a bad ass Hunter, but all she does through most of the book is cry and be scared. That's no way for a Hunter to behave - particularly the sister of the legendary Adrian Cage!
After she seduces him in her apt (even though she's inexperienced) Dallas swears to never let it happen again. Well it does, knowing full well after the 3rd time they'd be mated. Another thing that made me drop this to a 4 is that even though she's mad and even offended at some of his behavior, particularly that he wants to just have "a mate" - love notwithstanding - she does it anyway. Huh? I'd be damned if I'd agree to marry anyone that doesn't love me and sees me as merely a "means to an end". No sex is that good - Get some self respect woman!
Dallas is determined to not let emotions rule him, having been programmed that love made a man weak, needing to "worry about someone". He does, however, realize that love made Adrian sharper; it made him try harder, not make him weaker, and it makes Dallas wonder...
Of course Dallas had some jerk for a father that thought love was a waste - well, for men of course. Hell that idiot thought women were for kids only. Even Dallas thought that locking Lily in a tower would be for her own protection. UGH! What is it with men who think locking a woman up is for protection? He also doesn't take it well when Lily risks her life to protect his, and gets all huffy about it. Luckily she grows a spine and doesn't back down. Yes guys, women can protect you, too! Later, he comes to appreciate this, and that having a partner in life is better than just having a "mate at home". He finally admits his feelings and the only down side to that is trying to not have his new brother in law kill him in his sleep! Thankfully, Dallas comes to his senses and realizes his father was wrong all along.
What I did like is Lily fighting her past - literally - and having Dallas's back while he had hers. They came through a rough patch, with some action, ice dragons (those guys are mean), gross former stepdads, etc but came to be a great couple in the end.
DRAGONS REDEMPTION – EDEN ASHE Lily Cage was born a female Hunter when her brother goes missing the leader of the Hunters. Her world is turned upside down. Dallas the scariest dragon in existence known as the “Destroyer” the last thing either of them need is an attraction between them. The peace between the dragon and the hunters is hanging by a thread and the slightest misstep between Lily and Dallas could send them back into war. Dallas a dragon shifter call the destroyer who is determined to destroy all the hunters who killed his family and his distained “mate”. He is the think the hunter’s nightmares are made of. When he meets Lily a female Hunter who makes everything that he has believed all his very long life turns on his head. He is torn between his instincts to kill the hunter but his dragon wants to roll around with her. He is so confused by what he has had beaten into him by age 5 and what his dragon desires. Lily has been abused everyway that is imaginable and possible by her step- father until one day Adrian Cage adopts her and makes her life safe. Then Adrian goes missing and her safe world is not safe anymore. Her world gets even more mixed up when the man/dragon that should be making her run away screaming makes her feel safe again. When Lily’s brother turns up more insane than sane the dragons and Adrian’s best friends band together. To look for the man that kidnapped Adrian and is trying to kill his sister the sick depraved step- father that abused her as a child he wants his property back. Wow is about all I can say to some this book up. I received this as an ARC for an honest review. As it is the second book in the series I was worried that I would be lost since I hadn’t read the first but there was enough background information that you know what is going on. I would suggest reading them in order to get the full benefit of the story. Dragons Redemption is a definite MUST read hot sexy dragon shifters and hot steamy sex scenes with a gripping page turning story line.
The author was kind enough to send me an Ecopy of the sequel of "The Dragon's Heart" In exchange for an honest review.
I recently did a review for The Dragon's Heart and I really enjoyed it, but I have to say I absolutely fell in love with Dragon's Redemption. Lilly is a Hunter that was tortured as a child by her stepfather when he finally took it too far and lily ended up at a police station another Hunter named Adrian found her and took her in as his sister, but when he goes missing Lily feels vulnerable and thinks the instincts she has always trusted are failing her. I really fell in-love with Lily I really connected with her, she saw the good in everyone no matter how scary they looked and I loved that about her, but don't take her kindness as a weakness she also fought for those she loved and had quite a temper on her. Dallas is nicknamed The Destroyer after he went in a rampage killing all the hunters in his path. Ever since he hates and doesn't trust any hunters, but when he meets Lily in his Kings wedding he can’t fight the growing feeling he has to protect her. Dallas really grew on me since the first book! He appears to be tough in the exterior, but in the inside he is a sweetheart, I really loved his character development throughout the book and he is just so freaking HOT!
I absolutely adored this book, we got to see more of the dragon and hunter world, we are even introduce to a whole new species of dragon. I also really liked the twist Eden hit me with; they had me at the edge of my seat. I finished this book in a day and a half I just could not put it down and I'm dying to get my hands on the third one and see where Eden is going to take us. I recommend this book if you enjoy paranormal romance or if you just want to read a book about HOT men that turn into dragons!
Dallas earned his name the Destroyer fair and square.. And until the fiery hunter female Lily Cage he actually enjoyed the name, but coming from her sweet mouth does something to him. His chest hurts, his mind gets all fuzzy, and whoa wait... back up NO absolutely not happening. He will not Mate her, Never. LOL Never is such a long time, especially when you are fighting fate.
Lily, has has it tough. Everyone baby's Lily, poor Lily. Well, except that stupid Destroyer who must have a death wish, or something. She had to Kiss him to save his flipping life, twice now. He doesn't treat her like the others, and well her instincts say safe, protector so hers. But her instincts must be broken, because she has given him all of her and he seems to hate her. But he won't leave her what is up with that???
And her brother is missing, but she still calls him leaves him messages and texts him. She just can not give up on him. She needs him Ava, her baby niece and his mate needs him to come back to them. But when he shows up and is mental, like very mental she rethinks her stance on the need, He needs them too. this is the twist in my heart because this problem with CAGE does not end here he goes missing again.
Alot to take in in this book it is necessary to read the others in sequence to get the most out of these epic stories... I recommend them all. Thank you Eden for sharing this world with us.
Loved it. It was funny, smoking hot, and suspenseful. I absolutely love Dallas and Lily. They are the perfect match. Lily is a Hunter, enemies of dragons. But since her brother married a dragon healer, they have been at peace. She was abused and tortured by her stepfather as a child. Now she has her own flower shop and is invited the the Dragon kings wedding. Dallas is known as the Destroyer. He is a dragon and hates Hunters. But something about the tiny woman flabbergasts him. If a dragon has sex 3 times with the same person, they become mates. And he can't seem to keep his hands off her. He believes love is an emotion not for him. She is always hugging him especially when he growls. When others have run from him. With her brother missing and someone trying to kill her, he has his hands full trying to keep his heart from getting involved and keeping her alive. *RECEIVED A COPY FREE FROM AUTHOR*
Dallas the Destroyer hates Hunters after they killed his mate and family. He hates them to the point of wanting nothing more than to wipe all Hunters out of existence.
Lily Cage was born a Hunter but due to events from her childhood, (Fair Warning: if you have triggers, Lily was abused as a child and as this is the basis for her actions and reactions, it is mentioned more than once), she has never been an active Hunter or even knows what her inherent "powers" are.
The two should have nothing in common but they need each other too much to stay away. And now someone is after Lily. I truly enjoyed this book. I laughed and cried more than once. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
*A copy of this book was gifted to me by the author in exchange for an honest opinion.*
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Eden Ashe. This is book 2 from the Dragon Lore series from the author.
When her brother goes missing Lily Cage is determined to find him and find out what happened. The last thing she needed was to find herself attracted to Dallas. Dallas is willing to do anything to find Cage after he goes missing but the last thing he needed was to be tempted by Lily since she was the enemy of his people and considered forbidden.
This has a great flow through out the whole book and the characters all work well together when they interact with each other. There is nothing in this book that I dislike from start to finish.
This is the second book in the Dragon Lore series and while I enjoyed book 1 I was truly in love with this book!! It was truly amazing how much each of the characters changed from the beginning to end! This is the second mating between a dragon hunter and a dragon mentioned in this series and it looks like the future for the dragons will be in the hybrid children. I can not wait to see what happens next and will happily pick up the next book in the series. If you love dragons or shifters in general I can't recommend this series highly enough! So far they are just getting better with each new book. Eden Ashe is an author I will be looking forward to her new releases in the future.
This is book 2 in the Dragon's Lore Series. Dallas is the head of security for his king, Daniel Ashborne. He has lived over two thousand years and he has hated the hunters for most of that time. Lily has lived through the most tragic life til age 9 that most adults couldn't survive. She is a hunter so she is on the most hated list of Dallas. As fate would have it , the sexual chemistry between them is electrifying. This is a very exciting book and you won't put it down until you are finished, guaranteed.
This is the second book in this series and I was just as quickly pulled into the story of Lily and Dallas as I was with those in book 2. Very well written I could not put the book down it was so intense at times that I was on the edge of my seat basically chewing my nails to find out what was going to happen next. I look forward to reading more of the books in this series and learning about the rest of the dragons and hunters as they push towards peace.
Great series. The war between the Dragon shifters and the Hunters is brutal. But who is the enemy and who will survive. Dallas a Dragon Sifter who hates Hunters has discovered his true mate is a hunter, But someone is trying to kidnap her. This story has it all drama, suspence ,romance and humor. A must read series
I thought the first book was great. Then I read this and was blown away. I love the world and characters that Eden has brought to life. This book was a no put down page turner! Great from beginning to end. Eagerly anticipating more in the series.
I enjoyed Lily and Dane's love story. This hunter and dragon are star-crossed lovers and I was rooting for them to find a way despite their differences.
Lily is a Hunter, who is sweet and sheltered. Dallas is a dragon who hates Hunters and is nicknamed the Destroyer because of all the damage he's done to them. Improbable that they would become mates but it happens... rather quickly and without much fight. After all the buildup of how much Dallas hates Hunters and doesn't believe in love, things just happened a bit too easily. And we're told that the Destroyer is some big scary dragon that no one messes with but all that ever happens is other dragons messing with him because of Lily and Lily worried the other dragons are going to kill him for being with her. So all in all the story came together a bit too conveniently and Dallas didn't really seem all that tough.
I liked the contrast in characters and their basic build. But I enjoyed the first book way better, and that may be because their were fewer unresolved issues. This one also had a few scene mistakes as well.
As cold and mean and rude and contrary as I thought Daniel was in The Dragon’s Heart? He had nothing on Dallas the Destroyer. One minute he wanted to kill Lily and the next he wanted to care and protect her. I loved Lily because she was very strong and soft at the same time.
Again, I have to wonder what this author was thinking in the heights she gives people. Cage, a hunter, is Lily’s bother and Seren’s mate. He’s like 7 feet tall and Seren is 4’11.” Lily is like 5’3” and Dallas is like 6’6.” Seriously? If you’re going to make the men giants then make the women taller, especially if there’s going to be sex.
So, Cage shows up after being gone a month, a little screwy, and Dallas gets it into his head that’s he’s going to kill Cage, so Lily doesn’t get hurt any more than she already had, he says several times that he’s going to kill Cage. Again, I remind you that he Lily’s brother. How the hell is Dallas going to kill Cage without Lily feeling the most devastating pain? That doesn’t make any sense, it should have never been written that way. Then it said that Lily had fallen in love with Dallas then in the next paragraph it said she WAS falling in love with him, and later on it said she was falling again. If the story hadn’t had such a good storyline I would have given up on the repetitiveness and the trouble the author had making up her mind whether to have Lily already in love or falling. AND put the falling BEFORE the fallen.
This could have been a 5 star book, just like the first one could have been. The author had some great ideas but she found it easier to repeat herself than to find something else to say.
The F-BOMB was used 154 times, for all of you who don’t like swearing. Since I’m a potty-mouth I didn’t mind it at all.
Because it makes me crazy that every single romance has one thing in common, from now on, starting with this book I’m going to mention the heroine biting her lip. Worrying her lip. Chewing at her lip or nibbling at her lip, or doing whatever to her lip. She did it 15 to 17 times in this 205 page book.
I liked the story of Dallas and Lily very much. I haven't read the first book in the series so I was a little confused at first, but once all the characters sorted themselves out I enjoyed the story enough to want to see if I own the first book so I can find out what happened before. Dallas is a bad-ass dragon that was raised to have no emotional ties. He believes that love makes you weak and has no intentions of being weak. Until he sees Lily at a wedding. She is the last person he should be ogling. She is a Hunter and he considers her kind to be his enemy. Hunters killed his fiance and his family long ago and no truce will make him like them. Lily has had a hard life. Her father was a monster and abused her in more than one way. Adrian Cole found her and she has only felt really safe when she was in his protection, until she meets Dallas. She knows who he is, his nickname is The Destroyer and he destroys Hunters like her and her brother Adrian. She doesn't know why he makes her feel just as safe as Adrian always has, and she is sure she shouldn't be trying to find out. The two should not be so drawn to each other, but yet they are. Lily's brother has been missing for some time, and his wife and new daughter need him back as much as Lily does. Join the Dragons and the Hunters as they try to find out what is going on in their corner of the magical world. Will Dallas overcome his aversion to love? Will Lily find a mate to help her overcome her painful past?
I enjoyed reading this 2nd book in a series, it had (mostly) strong characters, which were quite realistic for the majority of the time, quite a good plot, and a fluent narration style. Personally, even with all the history she went through, I found the female protagonist a cry-baby and too weak, at least on the surface. Events from book 1 were explained in detail, too much for my taste really (just in case you did not understand hints to past events in the first chapter, you had more in about three or four more chapters). What was not explained, at least not in this book, were the special "traits", the magic the dragons are capable of: are the individual abilities unique to the specific dragon, or do they all share the same abilites? Why ask the King to cause something - can only he do it, or is he just the strongest? In the end, the villain of the story was dealt with way too swiftly for my taste; not in the way he was punished, but at the end: no more mention of him, his lackeys etc. What about the necromancer? What about Adrian - are they going to look for him? Although I appreciate this is an ongoing series, and there will be a sort of red thread through the individual stories, these "gaps", lacking a better word, left me unsatisfied and made this an unfinished story for me really. All in all, though, an entertaining story, which can be read on its own if you are willing to live with a handful of missing links/events/parts.
Ok first off I have to say the guy on the cover is 'HOT' as all hell!
That being said I'll move on to what the book is about - This is book 2 of the Dragon Lore series by Eden Ashe it tells the story of Dallas and Lily. Dallas is an angry, full of hate dragon shifter who desires to kill every hunter he can to make them pay for the loss of his family and believed “mate”. He's sexy, strong, tough and determined to get what he wants. Lily is a human hunter of dragons that is looking for her missing brother. Where Dallas is all violence and anger, Lily is the opposite of what she should be as a hunter. Lily is compassionate, sweet, tender and a loving girl with an abusive past and a deep need to feel safe and loved. While dealing with not only their issues and differences, the couple must also stop the nefarious step father of Lily's past.
I liked this book a lot. However it could have been better with less repetitiveness. Also a bit more building of the couple as they became a couple would have strengthened the story. But over all it's a good book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves dragons and paranormal romance.
Received ARC copy for which I'd like to thank the author Ms. Ashe.

A great second book. I fell in love with the first book, and it seemed to take forever for this book to come out. But it was worth it. Dallas the Destroyer, and Lily Cage. Opposites in every way. Dallas was raised by a tyrannical father, who taught his son that love was a wasted emotion. And when his family and future mate are killed by Hunters, it becomes his sole mission in life to take out as many Hunters as possible. Lily Cage, she's the protected one, by both Hunters and Daragons. The step daughter of the leader of the Hunters, who has made Lily a personal plaything of his. When he learns she can heal herself her life with him becomes a nightmare. Until he is killed by her adoptive brother Adrien, who takes over the Hunters. Lily is petite, quiet and shy. Everything Hunters are not. She was born with Hunter blood, but would rather arrange her flowers than destroy an Dragon, or anyone. And when she meets Dallas at his Kings wedding, she feels an underlying need to protect him. And beyond any logic, Dallas finds himself drawn to her as well. This book was well written, fast paced, and I love the characters. I'm not a big fan of cliffhangers and both books end with cliffhangers. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Truly extraordinary Dragon Shifter book !! Dallas the Destroyer is a dragon who has sworn never to trust, never to take a mate and to destroy all Dragon Hunters who kill innocent dragons. Lily is a dragon Hunter, or at least the sister of one, and she survived hell growing up. She's not in the market for a mate, she doesn't even want a boyfriend !! But leave it up to date to give them both what they need, instead of what they want. Excellent, action packed, sexy, hot story with very adult themes. I recommend it to readers over the age of 18 as well as those who can handle discussion of child abuse and rape ( it is not gone into in depth, the author has written it in as nice a way as something like that can be written) it is not the main idea in the story, but it is used to describe why Lily is the way she is around large men. If you like dragon shifter stories you should love this . It is book 2 in the Dragon Lore series and can be read as a stand alone, but it is better if read after book 1. The cliffhanger from book 1 is addressed and a new one is left at the end of this book . Eden Ashe wants us to be waiting , impatiently for book 3 !! And I am !! 5☆'s . I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
