This book is uniquely personal and travels with the protagonist as she makes mistakes in life, she sifts through clouded judgements and poor mental health through her actions. It looks at relationships good and bad and although it is not your typical novel of lots of description in landscape it contains descriptions of the heart, which in turn is very powerful.
Echoes of Him completely pulled me in with its emotional depth and haunting atmosphere. The story is beautifully written, with grief, love, and longing woven together in a way that really sticks with you. Riven as a character was such a standout for me—complex, intense, and impossible not to feel drawn to. At times the pacing dipped slightly, but overall it was a gripping, heartfelt read that lingers long after the last page. 💫
The idea of the book was good but i struggled with it. There was a lot of jumping around and for the majority of this book i didn't have a clue what was happening. I took a day to reflect and while I see what the author was trying to do with this, unfortunately it wasn't always clear.
