This book is the literal definition of a five-star feel-good romance!! It’s the perfect read — light, funny, heartwarming — but with way more emotional depth than you expect going in. Total palate cleanser in the best possible way!
The story follows Marissa, who ends up on a dating game show with the most chaotic twist ever: she has to go on dates with six of her ex-boyfriends…..Yes, it’s messy. Yes, it’s awkward. And yes, it’s wildly entertaining. Some of the exes are charming, some are walking red flags, and some bring up the kind of emotional baggage that makes you want to yell at the page — which honestly just makes it better. The game show setup keeps everything fun and fast-paced, but it also cleverly shows Marissa working through her past and figuring out what she actually deserves.
And can we talk about the friendships?!?! Marissa’s best friend Michelle is exactly the kind of supportive, hype-you-up energy everyone needs. The rhinestone headbands are just a bonus! The emotional journey feels real… all the fluttery feelings!! I giggled so many times while reading this book!
The tone is chef’s kiss. You get butterflies, secondhand embarrassment, self-discovery, and comfort all in one book. It’s the kind of story you fly through and then immediately want to recommend to someone.
If you love rom-com vibes, unique premises, strong friendship energy, and a main character you genuinely root for, this is 100% your book. It left me smiling, satisfied, and reminded me why I love romance so much. Literally shocked this is a debut novel.. you literally can’t ask for more. *all the snaps*

Fantastically addicting!!!
I absolutely devoured it in one sitting.
Love, Unfiltered has Bachelorette vibes with a twist—instead of new contestants, Marissa is surprised with six of her exes on a live dating show. I was hooked immediately. From the “Death by Swirly Suicide” line on page one, I knew this book was going to be funny, chaotic, and impossible to put down.
Marissa is a relatable, witty FMC with a great career, messy dating history, and two standout best friends—Melissa and Callum. Melissa means well (even when she absolutely should not), and yes, she is the one responsible for that disastrous blind date. Callum, however, completely stole my heart—friends-to-lovers tension done right.
Each ex brings something different:
• Awkward surprises
• Sweet second chances
• Major red flags
• And at least one man I wanted to launch into the sun 🚩
The pacing, humor, and emotional moments were perfectly balanced. I laughed, cringed, swooned, and yelled “TELL HER!” at my book more than once.
If you love second-chance romance, reality-show chaos, and slow-burn emotional tension, this is a must-read.

Love, Unfiltered by Katie Legrand feels like that friend who says, “I’m fine,” and then immediately overshares—in the best way. It’s honest, a little messy, and very relatable, like reading someone’s thoughts and thinking, oh cool, so it’s not just me.
This book doesn’t pretend love is graceful or well-organized. It’s about overthinking, getting attached, questioning everything, and finding the one you truly love.
It is the kind of book where you pause, laugh softly, and then reread a line because it hit closer than expected. Some parts feel sweet, some feel tender, some make you cry and some make you laugh out loud
Love, Unfiltered is perfect if you enjoy emotional honesty with a side of humor—like therapy, but cheaper and you can read it in pajamas. It’s warm, relatable, and it sticks with you.

This was such a fun read!
This story was a cute but nail biting romance, leaving you on the edge of your seat to see which ex was going to make the cut. There’s definitely butterflies and hints throughout the story for the winner in the end though, and he was the perfect choice!
The author’s writing style kept me engaged and also made the characters feel very relatable which is something I’m always looking for when reading.
I’m definitely excited to see where the series goes and get more background on the ex-boyfriends! 😉

An easy to digest book that makes you all giddy inside!
Romance is not my preferred genre of books, but even still, this kept my attention the whole time. And, the theme of being a TV V-day show is SO GOOD
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an easy, cozy romcom novel to binge!

I loved this book. It’s not your typical romance book. Very well written and I was pulling for the two main characters the whole book. Though a part of me loved the bad boy Damien. I can’t wait to read her next book, so I hope she’s busy writing it.

This isn’t my typical romance read. I prefer my romance on the darker side, but Love, Unfiltered was a fantastic palette cleanser! It was definitely funny and so cute, the perfect read for Valentine’s Day month! It gave me big Bachelorette vibes which I’m absolutely here for 🙌🏼

I absolutely LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! I related so much to Marissa in many ways. I think most of us have an ex like Nolan and I was so proud to see Marissa stand up to him. There’s so many things I could say but I’ll end with this, I just adored this story and I can’t wait to read what’s next!
