Everyone loves a Scottish murder, not least because of the extra-special 3rd verdict option in their court system: Not Proven. We know ye did it, Sonny Jim, but we're not ready to convict ye just nae...

Interesting discussion of four famous Scottish murder cases in which two were judged not proven, one guilty but the author thinks should have been not proven and one which was never solved. The author gives lots of background to the cases and the victims and perpetrators. This is an engaging and easy read
