Dream a little dream...

SM Campbel has done it again, delivering a dark, gothic romance full of secrets & lies, determination & betrayal, as well as one disturbingly tempting spider demon.

Elenora is a newlywed who should be enjoying the bliss of married life with her respectable banker husband, but nothing about her life is as idyllic as it appears. Under the stress of pregnancy their marital bed has become a frigid wasteland, leaving Elenora wide open to the influence of dreams. Her husband is keeping secrets from her, furthering the chasm between them and leaving Elenora adrift in loneliness.

Within the universe of Dreglin's Tales, monsters are real and demons live to strike bargains with desperate mortals. Elenora has done everything she can to save her fledgling family, to preserve the honor of her husband's name and create a safety net for herself but she can feel the threads unravelling faster than she can pull them back together. And that's when the Nightweaver comes to her.

He invades her dreams and feeds her something she's been starved for: attention and appreciation. What blooms between them in the Nightweaver's realm is illicit and sticky and... well, hot. Ecstacy and betrayal twine throughout the entire tale, blurring the lines between right and wrong, daring the reader to judge Elenora's actions as anything less than survival.

It is a quick, standalone novella written in the same universe as Campbell's "The Widow's Monster" (which, if you haven't read, you really should) and further expands on the mythos and beliefs of this fantasy world. I cannot wait for the next tale.

Wow. Just… wow. 🖤

“Nightweaver” was my first book by S.M. Campbell, and I was completely unprepared for how much it would pull me in. What I expected to be a simple monster romance turned into a dark, gothic novella that absolutely *consumes* you from the first page to the last.

The atmosphere is rich and haunting, filled with betrayal, secrets, lies, and twists that keep tightening their grip on you. It’s one of those stories you start thinking you’ll read “just a few pages”… and suddenly you’re at the end because you couldn’t put it down.

The FMC completely won me over. She’s strong, compelling, and impossible not to root for. And even though the story includes a pregnancy trope—something I don’t usually gravitate toward—I was surprised by how much I genuinely loved the way it was handled and how beautifully everything came together in the ending.

If you love dark, gothic monster romance with emotional depth and a story that lingers after the final page, I highly recommend this one. 🖤📚
