I was selected as an ARC reader.

I've read and loved the other books of this series and this one does an awesome job of raising the stakes and continuing to deliver huge emotional punches, entertaining and action packed chapters, and a very satisfying ending. It's hard to say if this is the best one yet because I really liked Book 3, but it may be that this just tied for 1st place in terms of ranking.

Both mainplots are excellent. The tension is so real during some scenes that I wound up holding my breath without realizing it at times. Battle scenes continue to be excellent (this book might have the best one so far of the series).

All in all, I loved this book. It was a fantastic read. Any fantasy fans will love this book (and this series)

Best one yet!

Nothing but to say FANTASTIC! This book not only intense but emotionally powerful. This by far the best in the series! The journey each character has gone through was not only brutal, tragic but character grow and became closer than ever before. Looking forward to the next step in the series. I know it’s gonna be great!

First, I have not read the other three books in the series. The character building is so detailed and thorough you can easily hear and see characters entirely independently come to life on the pages! The chaos and tenacity and raw emotions make for a great read. There are so many great elements in this story, too, from the magic to the world building making things seem realistic at different points in the port towns and the mountains and fighting!
