Eleven year-old Sean Kelly has a problem and its name is Jake Skutter. And now that Jake "the school bully" Skutter has the newest dart gun AND is dating the school's prettiest girl...Sean decides to get even and challenges Jake to DART GUN WAR. To survive, Sean and his friends Dump Truck and Squiggy will rely on 1980's dart gun technology, when men were men, and dart guns were lethal weapons. Or, at least that's what Sean's dad tells them when they ask him for his help. To find out what really happens, read this FIRST book in the hilarious Dart Guns At Dawn Graphic Novel series, perfect for kids ages 9-12, and parents who remember what it was like to grow up in the 70's and 80's.
Daniel Kenney and his wife Teresa live in Omaha, Nebraska with zero cats, zero dogs, one gecko, and lots of kids. When those kids aren't driving him nuts, he writes writes books and does a lot of laundry. A lot. No, seriously, you can't possibly imagine how much laundry he does.
This book was really good because it was funny. I liked that it was short and I could read it in one sitting. My favorite part was when he found out that Irwin R Fletcher made the dart gun. I would recommend this book for anyone who has a good sense of humor, boys especially, grades 3-5 mostly.
