Nancy Mitchell lives in Fremont, CA, and writes about the city she calls home. Born in Kingsport, TN, she was raised in Brighton, CO. After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, she was hired as a flight attendant for Pan American World Airways and flew the Pacific for ten years. Mrs. Mitchell is married to a retired American Airlines pilot and has five adult stepchildren and one daughter who is wheelchair-bound. She is active in PTA, is on the Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee, and is a surrogate parent for the Special Education Department, attending IEP meetings for students of all ages.
