This was an emotional read. My heart ached for Klayton; suffering the loss that he did was heartbreaking, but learning of the betrayal was truly devastating. That ex-wife of his deserved every bad thing that came to her in this life and the next. Klayton was so lost; I just wanted him to get his happy ending so bad, and Naturi was just that. They both entered each other’s lives in what was supposed to be a one-night thing, but fate had other plans for them, and witnessing them slowly come together as Klayton overcame his grief was beautiful.
I'd been waiting for Klay's book and it was full of drama. Kae had me tight the first half of the book because he wasn't giving Klay enough grace. Being upset because he didn't want to be around a bunch of happily married people and their kids was wild considering everything that happened to him. Overall I enjoyed it.
I’m glad I don’t stop reading the series because of how much I don’t care for the first one. I must say out of all 3 books this was by far the best one. Klay out of all the brothers was it for me lol. The MFC got on my nerves though and I was over her so many times. Again the errors in this book wouldn’t allow me to at least give 4 stars. Other reasons is I would have liked to see Lauren and Trey suffer some and I would have liked to have read about what happened to Lake as well. This kept it from a 5 star for me. I love the Nat and it would be nice to get a story with her and Asiah *wink wink*, because although he wasn’t a main character in this book his parts were everything to me.
The one thing I will give this author is that NOT ONE OF THESE BEAUTIFUL BLACK MEN WERE YN, SN, drug dealers, gangsters, killers, etc. and they still stood on business in every sense of the word. I loved it.
There were things mentioned in the stories that I don’t remember happening like the MFC being pushed down some stairs. Or Todd being knocked out by Klay. Maybe I missed these parts? It was something else but I can’t remember what it was.

My favorite Montgomery brother hands down is Klay!! This book just flows!! While sad over the heartbreak he’s experienced time and time again bumping into Naturi several times proved that fate was on his side and GOD hadn’t given up on him. Naturi and Klay began bonding over a future neither expected to have and realized the exes that held on to them were meant to stay in the past so they could possibly break down each others barriers and let each other in. It was beautifully written, their close knit bonds with the brothers, their wives, and children are everything. It was different seeing the men be the ones who dealt with heart ache and grief more than the female characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe Nataya and Asaiah could be a thing it’d be an interesting book for sure. 10/10
I’m switching it up usually I start with the FMC, but Klay deserves the spotlight first. This man was raised right, a true leader and the kind of son-in-law any dad would be proud of. But in just a few hours, his whole world flips. Watching him try to grieve while Lauren his wife at the time made it harder was frustrating, and seeing him pull away from his brothers? Heartbreaking.
Then fate steps in cue a reluctant night in Vegas and the start of something real with Naturi. She’s got her own battles, stuck in a relationship she’s outgrown and clinging to her peace with the help of her twin. This story brought the pain, the growth, the love, and oh yes the betrayal. I wouldn’t mind a spinoff for Naturi’s sister, just saying!
My goodness this was an emotional one. My heart ached for Klay..you could feel his pain. He was so lost, just existing until he met Naturi by chance. Naturi was done..in a dead-end relationship that she never really wanted. She knew something was missing in her life until she met Klay. I absolutely loved watching them grow their relationship and learn to trust and be vulnerable. The ex wife and ex best friend were trash and got off too easy in my opinion, but a fantastic book.
Okay, so Klay is my favorite Montgomery brother. Unfortunately, all of the brothers picked the same type of woman in essence, a replica of their mother. I’m so glad that they were able to find true love after dealing with their horrible, self-centered wives. As far their love interests are concerned, Zemira was my favorite. I’m on the fence about Naturi. First, she let herself get roped into a horrible relationship with Lake then when she got with Klay, she tried to play games instead of just communicating. All in all, it was a good book.
This story took me through so many emotions. Lauren was pure evil. I hated the way she played in Klayton’s emotions. I loved the family dynamic between the brothers because it was realistic. They may not always see eye to eye but their love is unwavering. The chemistry between Klayton & Naturi was beautiful and funny. They were truly meant for each other even though it took a second to get it right.
I love how D'Mesha brought the conclusion to the brothers together. It is hard for this brother to go through what he went through. His ex-wife and former best friend were wrong on all levels. It was sad to see that she was chasing after a man and allowed her daughter to get killed. I was happy when he found his true love, and he was able to open up to her. She brought love, caring, and all the emotions out.
4.5 ⭐️. This was my favorite of the series. My bay Klay was going through it. I did expect it to be more on the emotional side but it wasn’t too bad. Lauren is a heathen. Couldn’t stand her before this book but here she really was on one. I love Klay and Ri together. Definitely meant to be. When he went to chaperone her date, I was crying lol. I would recommend this series. Check your triggers.
Lauren really took Klayton through there and I hate her for that because both of them lost a child. Now, Naturi has come in the picture and the shell that Klay was in he slowly has crawled out of and him and Naturi is building something. That’s when crazy comes out and I never saw it coming lol Klay tricked me! Awesome read
I loved Klay and Ri’s story. That date scene was hilarious. 😂 I’m glad Lauren and Trey got what they deserved, and it could have been worse. It was also nice to catch up with the other brothers
This book will have you in your feelings. Your emotions will be all over the place. So good I loved everything about this book. The way that the FMC and MMC overcome so much and let things flow naturally. The whole series just read it!!!
This was a great book, I really enjoyed Ri and key, and his ex and ex best friend got just what they deserved that was so un called for being greedy and selfish.
Okay so first it was Kae and Devvy then it was Kavari and Emira….but babbbbbby…I love me some KLAYTON….the most unhinged of the Montgomery brothers IMO…Highly recommend this series!!!!
I enjoyed this book, but book 2 is still my favourite. For how Lauren and Trey played with Klay I needed to see more! We didn’t even get to see what happened with Lake… Grief is explored within the book but not in depth. Asaiah was a great friend to Klay and really helped his healing process.
We Love A Good Man & That’s Wat Klay Was . He Loved Hard & Protected Even Harder . Lauren Is The Cumrag That She Is & Trey Too . They Played In His Face But I’m Glad He Met Naturi , She Was His Person From Jump
Klay was the most endearing MMC I’ve seen in a while. My heart broke for that man. But he really triumphed in the end. You can’t do anything but root for him. 🌻
It's always something about the baby brother's story that just does it for me! Klayton had been through so much and lost so much. Naturi and Klayton hooked up after a traumatic night with resulted in something that lasts a lifetime. I love the way Klayon loved Naturi! I also love that he clearly had a few screws loose when it came to her which he had no problem revealing when she tried him! I'm kind of sad this series is over but I can't wait for D'mesha's next book!
Ok...Klayton This man's ex-wife was delusional and crazy. she needed her ass beat. that is it and that is all. I loved how this story unfolded and again I love a good rub it in your face. Like the baby died in your care and its my fault? Make that make sense. It was the plot twist at the end though.
