C. M. Raven is an author of queer books, focusing on dark sapphic love stories with epic connections, spice, smut, contemporary topics, and thrilling plot.

So, when your heart longs for deep connections of all kinds, villains and morally grey characters, the others and lovers, those who walk the fine line between good and bad, then this is your space. A space where you can dive into your own fantasy and experience whatever it is you want, because our minds are, after all, the only place belonging entirely to ourselves—a place where everything is possible and every darkness as much as the light is allowed to just be.

C. M. Raven is based in Hamburg, where she lives with her child, cats and dogs. She enjoys winter and autumn, rain and snow, as much as long walks on a stormy shore.

Duel 1st Person POV. 5🌟 3🌶️. 201 pages
2 Spicy Scenes

While this isn’t the darkest book I’ve ever read, it’s definitely the darkest in the Her Sins series thus far and those 45 trigger warnings should be consulted before reading.

Her Wrath follows Sophie a 24 year old criminology student taking a gap year to explore the world with her best friend, when she’s kidnapped in Rome and held at the hands of a woman who wants to see her suffer. Rosalia a woman entrenched in shadow and feared amongst men, is out for revenge against a man that betrayed her and whose daughter took something important from her a decade prior. Can a woman that simply takes what she wants change for someone she despises? Or will the journey be too much for them both.

This is the 3rd book in the Her Sins series and I have throughly enjoyed everyone of them. This one is pretty dark, with high levels of torture and pretty unhealthy dynamics. I’ve put it down as having 2 overall spicy scenes, technically it has 3 but their first time together felt a little too close to assault never mind dubcon, for me to feel comfortable counting it as a spice scene. What I did like about this particular scene though was that it was Rosalia’s turning point, when she realised she’d messed up almost beyond repair and had maybe become the one thing she’s being fighting against her entire life.

Don’t go into this book thinking it’s going to be your typical dark romance with a bit of light kidnapping, some child’s play “torture” and then they’ll bang before the book is half done. It’s a dark Mafia story first and foremost, it’s a story about breaking and being reborn from the broken pieces, about discovering your life was a lie and learning to turn that into your greatest strength. The romance in this book is more of a subplot, it’s a glacial burn and it shouldn’t work but it does for all the wrong reasons!

If you like your FMC’s pitch black, your morals the darkest shade of grey, your torture with a side of pigeon and your darkness with a pinch of growth than I’d recommend Her Wrath, which will be released April 15th. Add it to your TBR or I’ll disorganise your bookshelves!

“I found a me I could not be without you,”

before i even get into the crossover—Kat and Lilian were perfect. i missed them so much.

anyway, i needed way more of Antonella and Rosalia. they were addictive. one minute they hated each other, the next they were in love—and i just wanted more of that buildup. more tension, more banter, more of that sharp-edged hate turning into something deeper. their chemistry was everything.

Rosalia: grumpy, dark, and used to getting her way—and seriously, she’s hot as hell. i loved the moments where she softened for Antonella. those cracks in her armor were so satisfying.

Antonella: we first meet her as Sophia—sunshine, endlessly positive, always seeing the good in everything. then everything shifts. she discovers who she really is, remembers the trauma her mind buried, and steps into this whole new identity. watching her become a capo was such a badass transformation. she’s confident, strong, and doesn’t take anyone’s shit.

overall, this book felt really empowering for women. i loved it—but honestly, i still wanted more.

The violence infront of the trainee, Kat, is put as a reward for all her tracking of this pervert. I love the nod to religion as she rubs her necklace . She, is unnamed so far.
Kat checks a pervs cellphone only to find a photo of Rose's dead son. She knows who killed him . Now find her. The link to the  Sicilian family empire is growing
The two young women,  Luisa and Fifi (Sophie) touring Europe after studying psychology and criminology  is a lot lighter reading. Fifi remembers a family trip to Sicily before her father died.
It's interesting how Kat and her wife have an International  information network company that can trace a child's soft toy 12 years later. Kat gives the information to Rosalie in Sicily who now has a lead who killed her son. We get the hint of trafficking  to USA drugs ,  cocaine and people but it is not the essence of the story

Fifi is kidnapped in Rome.  Rosalie and Kat try to follow the money from Fifi. Now a Mafia intrigue and family war. The knife fight is intense as muscle memory intensifies. The debate between born with goodness  or with the propensity for violence is interesting in violent families and the role of women. I loved the 30 year age gap and earning respect over the slow burn with the chapter of Antonella and Rosalia written cleverly  without the use of names. This book certainly wins the most interesting  proposal award. This is such a well researched dark Mafia tale. I couldn't put it down.

Once again the playlist is top notch really sets the vibes for each chapter. The writing is phenomenal already setting a brilliant storyline. I love that you have the crossover with Kat in this story and you get to find out a bit more about Kat’s background and how she is trained by Rosalia you get to find out more about these characters which is amazing. Rosalia really is the grumpy and Sophie the sunshine you can see that coming through even in the early chapters again it’s an excellent sign of fantastic writing. The description of what Rosalia looks like is phenomenal you can immediately picture her in your head. Even from the beginning of the story the amount of plot twists that occur it’s incredible so amazingly written. The feminist movement in this book sticking it to the man it’s incredible the silent revenge to burn the world that men built and tried so hard to keep women out off. It’s done in an unconventional way but the world burns at the hands of the FMCs. This is written so well and really is empowering. The Her Sins universe keeps getting better and better with each book and this one although the heaviest this far is a huge win. Learning about these two very different characters it is incredible seeing how they come together they aren’t conventional at all but they will take what belongs to them and burn down the world built by men together. Also the character development of Kat is amazing she’s grown so much since Her Greed.

WOW!!! THIS BOOK!!! My favourite so far and i cannot wait to read the next one, I’m so invested in this series!

First off, the slow burn? Absolutely everything. It’s the kind that actually hurts in the best way, where every interaction feels loaded and you’re just waiting for something to finally snap. It had me on the edge so much i had to read the whole book in a day!

And Sophie… her transformation into Antonella? I’m still not over it. It was intense, a little heartbreaking, but also kind of empowering in a dark way.

I also loved the contrast between the characters. Sophie starts off with this almost dreamlike idea of love and life, while Rosalia is already so hardened and powerful. Watching those two worlds collide was so satisfying.

The writing definitely lives up to the dark romance label, this isn’t a light read at all. There are moments that are uncomfortable, but if you’re into that kind of gritty, morally grey storytelling, it works and it happens to be my favourite type 🙈 - still not over the pigeons 🤣

It’s messy, dark, and a bit obsessive, but in a way that keeps you completely hooked.

HER WRATH is the third ‘Her Sins’ book by C.M. Raven and definitely just as incredible as the first two. If you have not read HER GREED and HER PRIDE, I suggest you stop here and go read those first. HER WRATH will be as intense as intended if you start at the beginning. I am so amazed at the depth of these characters and how seriously dark they could dive. Fodder for future musing on my part. What I can say is that this is probably the most culturally diverse book I have ever experienced. I was amazed how things changed from page to page… twists, surprises, characters new awareness’s of themselves and each other. There is great unpredictable action in this book and the weirdest yet hottest slow burn I have read in a long time. I became a dedicated C. M. Raven fan with the first book… I want more of these outrageously brave, amusing and dark characters. That being said please take the time to read all of the cautions and trigger warnings… there are many. This in my experience is not your typical Lesbian dark romance… for that I am grateful and hopeful for more. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

If (like me) you love age gap, mafia, women and SAPPHIC books, then this is book is perfect for you. From beginning to end this book absolutely consumed me, I couldn’t get enough and I truly never wanted it to end. The characters are both so amazing, I fell in love with Rosalia the first time we were introduced to her and it was amazing to finally learnt more about her. I somehow fell even harder, this woman could honestly ruin my life and I’d thank her. She’s such an incredible woman. And Sophie? What’s not to love about a woman who stands her ground and refuses to shrink herself for anyone else, a woman who fights and wins. What an absolutely amazing woman, I wanna be her when I grow up.

This series has been amazing so far, and this book was no exception. C. M. Raven quite literally NEVER disappoints!! As always, the spice was exceptional, but i'd expect nothing less.

I’m gonna stfu now before I spoil anything, but just trust me and read the book so I can talk about it!!

Incredible story

I love how they developed into black butterflies. Each story in this series covers different areas of d/s in natural ways. This story is the darkest, but most beautiful.

Some parts are intense, and heartbreaking in that they depict horrific acts upon women--not graphically, but emotionally. I'm glad attention is being brought to this and they are building an empire to destroy the patriarchy.

Amazing story. Thank you for taking the chance to share it with us.

3.75⭐️ Another enticing story in this series! I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This story is Rosalia’s journey to finding what an hea looks like for her. This story is very dark and twisted ;). Sophie has a big character arc and I’m not sure if it’s better but it sure is different and exciting.

I loved having Kat in so much of the book! Since I read her book last (out of order) she was still a prominent character in my head and I loved getting more!

Looking forward to the next sin…

The story of Her Wrath had me on the edge of my seat. The violence and hatred reminded me a little of thr Godfather. The way everyone had to overcome the horrendous things that happened in there past. The men in this story deserved everything they received. I like the way Sophie came into her own and became Antonella. I also liked the way Rosalia had such hate for everyone but she could not hate Antonella. When Antonella showed her how to be gentle was a great scene. They like the rough stuff too. I received an ARC for this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I felt this one was a lot better than the others. It had more character and story depth. It was also a lot darker than the others and so discretion is advised.

In the violent underworld of gangsterism, a forbidden love between enemies bloom. Forbidden because they are both rivals gang lords and because the misogynistic patriarchy says so.

A very captivating story. Despite all the darkness and cruelty, love still finds its way.

Thank you to the author and Booksirens for the free ARC.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review and here it is!

Back to the darker theme of the first book in this series which I was very excited about. Rosalina and Sophie are great characters to read and even though some of the developments deal a bit rushed I liked the fact that the book wasn’t long. It kept you reading as it’s fast paced and full of action. All in all a good read.

Wow. I’ve just finished reading the book and I’m at a loss for words because it was so good. Definitely the darkest book in this series (those 45 content warnings are there for a reason!) – but it’s so well written and a real page-turner! Even if the characters do one horrible thing after another, you still end up liking and shipping them 🙈

This is my first book by the author.
This is not my typical read.

That being said, the quality of the writing was excellent.
The plot, captivating.
The action, intense!

This is a very dark, mafia story.
One that will stick with me for some time I expect.

Again, though this is not a typical read for me, I feel compelled to read the first two in the series!

Trigger warning in every sense of the word...

If you don't like guns, rape, torture, organized crime etc...

If you do like that stuff then enjoy like I did ... You might even like the ending

10 ⭐️ if I could

Id give this one 10 stars is I could. So hilarious but chalked full of de~centering men that sometimes caused me to pause. All the characters were fantastically written with excellent dialogue & inner monologue that made me snort & cackle😂🤦‍♀️.

Another win in the Her Sins Universe! Definitely the heaviest of the series so far. Rosalia was such a dark twisty character, but watching her let another person into her fortress and let those walls down was breathtaking. The HEA she and Sophie find isn't sunshine and rainbows, but neither are they. Their journeys, both separate and together, are riddled with demons and ghosts of the past.
But together, they will burn down the world.
The one, made by men.
