“Scotch & Stones” is the third book in the “Scotch Series.” This is a page-turning love story packed with raw emotion, tension and temptation that will leave you breathless. Nova Thea Ellery, aka Nova, is on holiday in Scotland with her two best friends. After wandering away from the music festival into the hills her attention is not captured by the stunning waterfall but the nude man who stood bathing in it….”Mr. Gorgeous Highland Man was not a figment of her overzealous imagination….” Caught admiring his physique, totally embarrassed, she runs and then rescues her from an embarrassing situation. At the bottom she gives him a chaste peck on the lips that left him totally off guard and then disappears into the crowd….
Drew Mackenzie is a ladies man with a dark past but no lass has ever captured his attention for longer than one night….until know! He is also the lead singer of the headliner band for the festival…. Crags and Dragons. After a long stint touring Europe, they are finally back home in Scotland. “The lead singer took centre stage, and Nova’s heart slammed in her chest like a comet hurdling through the night sky.” The lead singer was Drew….her waterfall-bathing highlander in his red plaid kilt and a sexy looking black cowboy hat….his eyes found hers in the crowd. “When the song ended, his eyes found hers. This time, she smiled and cheered for him wholeheartedly, and he grinned like the cat who got the cream.”
At the tent where the band are signing autographs, he gives a copy of their new CD with a message written on it….”Come to the afterparty. Text me 6899 1445 28. Drew x”The venue is crowded when they arrive, feeling overwhelmed, Nova sneaks out the back door, where Drew finds her admiring the stars. Finding her, Drew cannot get enough of this women and when he kisses her….”this lassie was different. Her touch was innocent, as was something about her demeanour.” The more time Drew spends with her, the more he wants to get to know more of this woman, both physically and mentally. He finds himself wanting more than just a one night stand….he finds himself falling this sweet innocent girl.
“.. suddenly, his coy lassie was kissing him, ravenously, as if he were her first meal in days. It shocked him, but he welcomed it. She was devouring him, her hands gripping his hair and tugging the back of his shirt. Christ and how he wanted her to eat him whole. It was frantic and raw and hot as hell. She bit his lip as she crushed against him. And he tasted the momentary tang of his own blood. His wee nymph was feral, and god help him, he couldn’t get enough.”
Things start to heat between Drew and Nova. Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! At times you will laugh, you will cry, get angry and frustrated - most of all, you will love the twists! This book will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more 🤗 Curl up in your favourite chair, by an open fire with a dram of whisky 🥃 and enjoy the show. A thoroughly enjoyable read from one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. You will fall in love with Drew and Nova, hoping that everything with work out for them and they have a future together. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Another amazing Scottish adventure by August....full of wonder, rich hints of history, and just the right amount of spice!
I absolutely adore Drew and Nova. Drew is the sexy, done-it-all rockstar who is completely smitten with Nova from the moment he meets her. He’s instantly drawn to her, even though she’s nothing like anyone he’s ever been with before. And Nova? She’s curious, book-smart, a lover of history and stars, and a little romantically naive. She feels the pull toward Drew too, but can’t quite believe someone like him would want someone she sees as so…ordinary.
Their connection is full of chemistry, discovery, and just a touch of Scottish magic. Drew is determined to woo her, but Nova is stuck in her own head, convinced they’re building nothing more than a beautiful friendship.
But when one kiss turns into something more, their undeniable chemistry takes over. Now the question is—can Nova push past her self-doubt and Drew’s playboy past to let something real grow between them?

So freaking hot! Who wouldn’t swoon over the naked, Henry Cavill built Highlander bathing in a waterfall?!? Seriously! That’s what long lasting fantasies are built around. Then you compound his level of intensity by giving him a Liam Neeson level of flirtatiousness, a sexy gravelly deep voice that sings to your soul, and the book boyfriend status supernovas off the charts! Speaking of Nova, our FMC, is a wonderfully written, sincerely relatable, introspective and entertaining character. She is clueless as to who this sculpted temptation of a man that is Drew is upon first sight, but as they continue their journey, a real and genuine connection between them grows into a lasting love story. Sexy accents, scenery, and scotch 🥃 are all inclusive here. God knows this series of books keeps me destination dreaming and warm at night.

If there is one thing August Lindsay knows how to do, it’s write delicious swoon worthy Scottish men!!! This is book 3 and every time I think I’m not going to like the next brother more than the last and I’m wrong every time.
I love that she’s given us a really understated female main character in Nova. She is so relatable which makes the story even more immersive.
What I wouldn’t give to transport myself to that little patch of water where they first meet 🤤😈

I loved loved loved this book and being in my favorite genre, rockstar certainly helped. I did not want this novel to end. I could not put it down. The relationship between Drew and Nova was just so special. Their love was one to be jealous of. All I can say is READ THIS BOOK. Thank you Booksprout for the copy. The snippets from past books made me smile! The courage Drew brings out in Nova, the song he writes for her, and them falling for eachother is everything!
The author always has the best quotes, the best aesthetics, and the spice! Yes!
I recommend getting comfy and settling down with Alex and Quinns story 1st and then continuing on through the series!

Where do I start…
I wanted to be Nova in the beginning of this book, taking a peek at Drew under the waterfall. Who wouldn‘t 😏
Throughout the whole book there are wonderful little details. The flowery pink converse style shoes, the slugs (I want that doormat now), Hubba Bubba (though I will think of it in a different way now, thank you 😂), the bannocks, the different tastes of whisky, the standing stones, the hints at traveling through the stones…
The love story between Drew and Nova was wonderful to read. A rockstar and a archaeoastronomer. A man who knows what he wants and a woman who at first has her guards up and then explores herself with him, before putting her guard up again, then finding out they‘re actually connected by more than just lust? Love it! The banter? Davin? Devin? Excellent.
