About the author

Cami Checketts is a USA Today Bestselling author of over a hundred clean romance novels. Her journey began on an Idaho dairy farm daydreaming book ideas on her bike or tractor and landing herself in the hospital numerous times for head wounds. She settled down after college (retired the bike at least) to raise four crazy boys and write down all those fabulous ideas. Cami's life is busy but she thoroughly enjoys rarely living in reality.

What a great suspense read. Maho, a doctor, returns to the island she left 12 years ago to find a treasure after her family has been threatened. On the island, she encounters Jaxon, the sheriff. There is history between them, but can a relationship that didn't work years ago work between them now? The Charming Sheriff has danger, romance, a treasure hunt, and second chances. Fantastic read.

Sweet addition to the Secrets of Shadow Cove series by Cami Checketts.
Maho left the island twelve years ago to become a doctor. Her parents died in the ocean and she developed a fear of large bodies of water. Her family is threatened if she doesn’t return to the island and figure out where the treasure is.
Jaxon is now the sheriff on the island. They were best friends in high school and had their first kiss the night of graduation. He asks her to stay but she left. Both have not been able to move forward with a relationship with anyone else.
Can they find the treasure but save their hearts?

Another wonderfully inspiring story. Loving this new series. Maho and Jaxon still have the same intense feelings and attraction for each other as they did years ago. So painful seeing them try to ignore the love building between them or discover away they could be together. Both are committed to their respective careers God called them to. Loved how Maho faced her far of the ocean with the help of God and Jaxon being her safe place. Enjoy all the sprinklings of Japanese in the story. Absolutely loved reading this and highly recommend it.

Maho and Jaxon are wonderful characters. Best friends in high school, Jaxon kisses Maho on graduation night and asks her to stay. Feeling called to be a doctor, Maho leaves to pursue a degree in Utah. Fast forward 12 years and Maho's brother and grandmother have been threatened if Maho doesn't return to Shadow Cove to find the long lost treasure. Of course, Jaxon comes to help her and their feelings from high school have only gotten stronger. Great story with sweet romance and lots of suspense.

great, great, great

I know I really love a book when I have to go back and read the last 5 chapters over again twice. Jaxon and Maho were so fun to read about and become a part of their lives for a while. Then there was Adam and Obachan to add some spice. Adam with his flirty ways and Obachan with her wisdom and sass. The story was intense from the very beginning with just the right touch of humor and romance. I am waiting patiently for the next book in this series, well not really patiently, so I will just have to wait. Excellent story.

The Charming Sheriff

As usual Ms Checketts hits a home run with the story of Sheriff Jaxon Bradley and his high school sweetheart, Dr. Maho Terrance. We learn of their early relationship in the prologue but from the first chapter to the last we find excitement, danger and suspense as Maho is threatened and returns home to protect the ones she loves. I highly recommend you read their story to find out more.

Sweet Romance with Some Suspense

This story reads more of a romance with some suspense in it, and definitely reads better as part of the series. This story centers around the Sheriff, Jaxon and his long lost love, Maho. She’s now a doctor and their lives are even more centered on where they’re at. The suspense was supposed to be based on the bad guys trying to find the treasure, but really it was how Jaxon and Maho were going to make things work!

Very interesting story!

Mayo had to return to Shadow Cove for a while. She was in trouble and needed to protect her grandmother. Running into Jaxson was inevitable. They go back twelve years and it didn't end nicely. There is so much excitement and love in this story. Read it to get your enjoyment.

This is an interesting and exciting book. I enjoyed the suspense. I also enjoyed reading as Jaxon and Maho learned together and developed their relationship. It’s a great addition to the series.

Good clean romance

I really like Family Check eggs books. So far in this series I have read 2 books and can't wait for next one.
The characters are likeable. There is romance, drama and treasure hunts.
