I have loved each book in this series, and this one was no different! I loved Rosie’s fiery spirit and attitude, and thought Theo’s stoic and steady presence wasn’t as annoying to her as she tried to let on. The enemies to lovers trope was one sided, but was done so well that this didn’t bother me. There was a dual timeline component that fleshes out Rosie and Theo’s story in a way that was necessary for readers to fully understand their history (aka I loved it). There’s so much tension between these two that when they finally give in I had to let out an audible WHOOP! It was also fun to see the previous couples appear in this story. Lots to love about this one.

Third book in the series (and also third by Belinda) and, as always, she manages to get me off my toes. I swear, I devour her books in no time!

Let's talk about Rosie (rosy posy) and Theo. We've already met them in the previous books (which I recommend you pick up) and I couldn't wait to read their story, since it's a second chance, but apparently only the two of them knew about it.

A bit of secret/forbidden romance, but let's not dwell on it or I'll accidentally spoil it. It's hard to write a review when you've absolutely loved a book, and you want to say so many things but in the end, nothing comes to mind.

Anyway, I don't usually like the dual timeline in books, but here I really liked it because it allows for a significant balance between present and past. It doesn't give you information right away, but you discover it gradually.

The characters are perfect.

I would have preferred just a little slow burn and more depth in some scenes. I felt like some weren't really wrapped up, but that's a minor point.

If I may give you a piece of advice, they're self-contained, but I recommend reading them in order!

Thanks for the arc copy 🩷

Once again, Belinda Mary managed to completely entertain me with her new book Away From You from the Beyond The Grid series. I think it might actually be my favorite in the series!

I absolutely loved Rosie. We had only briefly met her before, but this time we truly get to understand how she feels, her story, her journey, and who she really is. I admired her lightness, her optimism, her determination in the face of challenges, and her sensitivity.

As for Theo, I found him mysterious, but it was also really touching to see how his actions clearly showed his feelings for Rosie and that he wasn’t afraid to show it.

Throughout the story, I was a bit worried that the reason behind their past breakup would be disappointing or unrealistic (like simple miscommunication), but in the end, I really appreciated it. It felt realistic and made both Theo and Rosie feel deeply human! Their reactions to everything made sense and were easy to understand.

Of course, I loved the ending. It really touched me and brought a little bit of joy to my day.

Will I ever be disappointed by a book written by Belinda? I don’t think so 🤭

When I first met Rosie and Theo in Away from you, I just knew there was something going on between those two so I was really excited when I find out book 3 was about them!!

Theo and Rosie met some years ago and they quickly feel in love. Then something happened and their relationship ended… now Theo works for Nathan, Rosie’s brother, and they have to be around each other despite how much they hate each other (or so we thought :))

This is a second chance romance so we get to go back in time and witness the beginning of Rosie and Theo’s love story. Those chapters in the past were the cutest thing ever. We could see how much love they had for each other and how beautiful their relationship was. I really enjoyed getting those flashbacks but it was hard going back to the present part because all I wanted was for them to be together again haha

These two were meant to be together, and just like they both say it multiple times, it was fate that brought them together 🤍 Theo and Rosie both have such amazing personalities and it was a pleasure to read about them!

Thank you again @belindamary.author for this ARC! I’ve had such an amazing time reading this series 🧡🧡🧡

Thank you to Belinda Mary for sharing an ARC of this book with me in exchange for an honest review.

I think I fell in love with this book and the characters from the very first page. It's packed with banter and yearning. It's funny and emotional. I can't recommend this book enough... and I definitely need to go back and read the rest of this series because of course I started on book 3 instead of book 1 like a normal person.

The plot:
When 26-year-old Rosie loses her job and and her life starts falling apart, she knows exactly who to turn to: her older brother, Nate, current World Champion of the Formula 1 world. But what she doesn't expect is that Nate's solution to fixing her problem is working with for best friend, Theo. Nate knows his sister and his friend don't really see eye to eye, but what he doesn't realize is that there used to be so much more to the story. Five years ago, Rosie had fallen hard for Theo, and she thought he had fallen, too. But then he suddenly up and left, and her heart was never quite the same after that. Now she's stuck working for him, and she's determined to show him that this rose does indeed have thorns. But as she starts to realize that things may not be as they seem, and that Theo may still have a soft spot for her, she might just be able to open herself up again.

What I liked:
- The yearning in this!! Theo is absolutely down bad from the very beginning. He's counted the days since he's last seen her. His hand placement! His world revolves around her and it's so clear to anyone who sees...
- Except for Nate. The fact that Theo and Nate are best friends but Nate can't see that Theo is clearly smitten with Rosie is hysterical to me. Men. So oblivious.
- I love a brother's best friend trope, but this one was especially fun to me because it wasn't childhood best friends. Theo and Rosie have a seven-year age gap, but Theo didn't see Rosie in her awkward teenage years when he was in his 20s. She didn't have some childhood crush on him. That can be dicey sometimes. No, Theo was in his 20s when he met Nate, and maybe even in his 30s when they became close. And besides, I think that's such an interesting twist to a common trope.
- Speaking of tropes, there were so many good ones in this: second chance romance. Enemies to lovers. Brother's best friend. Sports romance. Meet cute. Love at first sight. Grumpy x sunshine. And some of my favorite microtropes! He wears hi sl*tty little glasses in the office. A grumpy man who will do absolutely anything and everything for the woman he loves, even if it's out of character. The way Nate loves her is just so good!! We love an acts of service man.
- There are a lot of recurring themes/moments in this book that get brought up a lot by both Theo and Rosie, sort of as callbacks to see if the other still actually cares, like a test. I really enjoyed the significance of things like churros and colors.
- Dual POV and dual timeline. I think it's especially interesting that the present timeline is all Rosie's POV (minus the prologue) and the past timeline is Theo's. They've each got their story to tell.
- Nicknames! They can be cringey sometimes, but Theo calls Rosie "Trouble" and I think that's cute without being forced. And Rosie calls him "Teddy," which no one else calls him, making it very intimate.
- Their meet cute and the scenes immediately after reminds me of the movie Serendipity. Truly a whirlwind romance.
- Theo and Rosie are both funny and witty, but also capable of being emotional. I love the depth of these characters.

What I didn't like:
- At one point, Theo remarks that he feels like he and Rosie are "fated." That felt a little extra to me, but I got past that easily.
- I feel as though the scene where they reconcile was a little rushed and didn't have as much of an emotional payout as I was expecting. But that said,

Some trigger warnings that I feel I should mention:
- discussion of fraught parental relationships
- mentions of sexual harassment and misconduct
- death of a parent and specifically

This was a beautiful second chance romance, set in the world of Formula 1. It takes you on a journey around the world and through a range of emotions.

Rosie has just lost her job and goes to see her brother Nate, who immediately gets her a job in his organisation (he’s a Formula 1 driver). The problem is she has to work for her arch enemy Theo. rosie and Theo have been arguing and bickering for years, Rosie was avoiding him at all costs but nobody really knew why. They never knew that Theo broke her heart many years ago. Now forced to work together daily, they have to try and get along.

I loved this book so much. Rosie and Theo were just so perfect together. The dual timelines in the book showed how they were the first time around and oh the love and chemistry between them was wonderful. Rosie was delightfully fiesty but it was clear she had never fully gotten over Theo. Theo was calm and patient and never lost his temper. Seeing the full story from both POVs, both in the past and present, helped the reader see exactly what happened. As the full picture emerged, you were fully rooting for both of them.

The family aspect was featured heavily, showing how much we can be influenced by the people around us like Theo, and also how we can make our own choices to be different, like Rosie.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good second chance, enemies to lovers, brothers best friend read.

A second chance romance that completely broke my heart… and slowly put it back together. 🧡

Away From Her is the third book in the Beyond the Grid series, and I loved getting Theo and Rosie’s story.

Their history runs deep, and you can feel it in everything. The banter, the tension, the chemistry… not just now, but also in the glimpses we get from five years ago. The dual timeline worked so well here, slowly revealing how they met, what they meant to each other, and why things fell apart. It made Rosie’s anger and Theo’s side of the story hit even harder.

Their journey is honestly heartbreaking at times, but that’s also what makes it so beautiful. Watching them find their way back to each other, despite everything that happened, felt so real and emotional.

If you love second chance romance with strong chemistry, tension, and all the feels, this one is definitely worth it. 🥰

Thanks for the ARC!

♥️♥️Huge thanks to Belinda Mary for including me again on her ARC team, it's an honor and privilege to me. all opinions are my own♥️♥️

Rosie Jackson and Theo Romano had a past that didn't end well. 5 years later, Rosie loses her dream job, and she has to work under Theo, who is now her brother Nathan's manager. 5 years have passed, but Rosie is still not over her anger towards him, all she can do is keep ignoring him and protect her heart from Theo, who is still pining for her and keeps trying to win back her heart. This time, Theo is more determined than ever to break down Rosie’s walls for the love he truly never let go of.

"I think we've been doing a bang-up job of it for the past five years. I insult you, and you pretend I don't exist."
His footsteps sound heavy as he approaches the bed again. "There's no world in which I can pretend you don't exist, Trouble."

Seeing Rosie and Theo from the second book, I loved their vibe and I'm so glad that Belinda told their story in this third book!😍 I loved the dynamic between Theo and Rosie, loved how the dual timelines told their background story of how they met, the instant connection they felt, what obstacles they faced that made Rosie so bitter towards him... :') They were so cute and sweeet together, so I was so sad when I reached the part that revealed the reason behind their breakup😢 I liked Theo's determination even though Rosie keeps snapping at him, insulting him, but he continues to keep attentive, taking care of Rosie as he did 5 years ago...relentless in his pursuit of her... but seriously Theo, why does it have to be after 5 years, Theo? Why didn't you try to explain it to Rosie earlier??😤

"Of course it brings up memories. Being here, it's hard not to."
His throat bobs, and he nods once. "Right. Yes. That's good to know."
"It is?"
Another swift head bob. "It's good to know I'm not the only one who remembers."

"Do you think you'll ever forgive me enough to move forward? To put this behind us? To try again?"

Thanks to Belinda, I totally get the F1 lore - especially in romance novels 🏁! This is my third book by her & the latest in her 𝐵𝑒𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐺𝑟𝑖𝑑 series. If you’re looking for a closed door second chance romance, you need to add this one to your TBR, along with her previous ones!

The story follows Rosie Jackson who has just lost her dream job & ends up working for her famous F1 driver brother. It turns out though, she'll be working under her brother’s manager, Theo Romano, aka the former love of her life. He shattered her heart five years ago & now he’s her boss. Nothing could wrong with this, right?

The book is truly a matter of right person, wrong time with a dash of outside noise (without spoiling much). It toggles between the past (events that occurred five years prior) to the present day where Rosie is trying to keep her hatred for Theo at bay & must also navigate the heartbreak she continues to bear. While he's like a stoic statue who doesn’t reveal much about himself, his feelings for Rosie couldn't be clearer.

For reasons you learn throughout, he let the love his life go, but continues to look out for her, despite her opposition. Their dynamic was fun to read & loved all the little moments when he’d go out of his way to do things for her. And, I really enjoyed the moments when she'd let her walls down for him.

There’s a slow buildup as the story toggles between timelines & readers learn what transpired to cause the breakup. Even so, the pacing was great & I felt like it emphasized how strong their love was & why their heartbreak hurt even more.

Like the previous books, I loved how the F1 world was integrated seamlessly into the story. It pulled back the curtain on the things that happen behind the scenes, but there were even exciting moments on the track.

Belinda continues to write fun & engaging romances set in the F1 world, including her latest addition. I really enjoyed how MCs from the previous novels made appearances to continue a bit of their storyline as well! A huge thanks to Belinda for giving me the opportunity to read the eARC!

AWAY FROM HER - BELINDA MARY ARC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thrilled to have been gifted another @belindmary.author book ☺️
This second-chance romance is Book 3 in the Beyond the Grid series; I was keen to read Rosie and Theo’s story after meeting them as side characters and seeing sparks FLY in Nate’s book… let me tell you it did 👏🏻 not 👏🏻 disappoint 👏🏻

Rosie’s a girl after my own heart - she LOVES a true crime, LOVES ice cream and can hold a grudge. I imagine we could be pals.
Her journey of emotional healing highlights heartbreak, confusion and lingering feelings that she tries very hard to ignore and squash down. We also see resentment, that at times made me laugh out loud: “I may not want revenge now, but I’m a petty bitch, so who knows, I’ll probably change my mind”.

Whilst this story is closed door, the longing and desire is irresistible, and the yearning from Mr Theo Romano is next tier!
“I choose her today and every day. For me, there is not choice”.

During the dual timelines/flashbacks, I really enjoyed the F1 elements to the book and felt like they held connotations of the electricity and intensity between Rosie and Theo:

🏁 Thrill of the high speeds/race.
🖤 The excitement and adrenaline at the beginning of their relationship.

🏁 Taking risks and chances on the track.
🖤 Being vulnerable and taking emotional risks.

🏁 Wins and successes, placing higher on the grid.
🖤 Growing stronger as a pair and moving towards something meaningful.

Favourite moments:
🖤 Theo taking care of Rosie whilst she’s struggling with period pain.
🖤 Rosie battling conflicted feelings to be there for Theo on the anniversary of his father’s death.

Tropes:
🏁 Second Chance Romance
🏁 Brother’s Best Friend/Manager
🏁 Exes to Lovers
🏁 Close Proximity
🏁 Emotional Healing
🏁 Dual Timeline

Again, a huge thank you to @belindamary.author for allowing me an ARC copy of ‘Away From Her’.

If you love F1 racing, second chance romance, dual timelines and a HEA then you’re in for a treat. The third book in the Beyond the Grid series and it was so good to be back at the races with Theo and Rosie 💕

Five years ago, he broke her heart. Now, he’s her new boss.

Rosie Jackson’s life is imploding. In the span of one disastrous week, her dream career goes up in smoke, and she finds herself working for her famous Formula 1 driver brother

Correction: working for her brother’s manager.

It’s fine. Totally fine. All Rosie has to do is keep her head down, work hard, and ignore his smouldering looks, thoughtful gestures, and the way he keeps saying ‘hear me out’ in that too-soft voice that makes her resolve wobble.

Because the last time Rosie let Theo in, he shattered her. And she’s still trying to put herself back together.

Letting Theo Romano back into her life—back into her heart—is absolutely not an option.

…Right?

I loved Rosie (trouble), as young as she is, her wit and intelligence is beyond her years with lots of determination

Theo, dark, mysterious, charming and wears his heart on his sleeve.

We get to follow both these characters, as well as their families and come to learn why they are so hostile to each other, whilst also protecting their hearts. We slowly learn and understand more about the breakup, and how strong their love was. Could it be again?

I never read the first book of the series but this one has to be my fave out of the two I have read. I will however go back and read them again sometime as there is just something so heartwarming about it all 💕 the pacing of the book was just right and it was lovely to see some past characters as well.

Belinda knows just how to put the right amount of fun into her stories to engage the readers. Thank you for having me on your ARC team and I look forward too so much more

The duel timelines in this book were amazing! I loved getting to see Theo and Rosie’s relationship from that early, obsessed, we’re fated and beyond romantic phase to seeing them now where they’re living with broken hearts and just trying to survive the fallout. I just couldn’t get enough of their romance, and chemistry, it kept me flipping pages into the wee morning hours just to see what was going to happen next! Honestly if you’re looking for a book that is beautifully written, with amazing characters, fabulous found family, fantastic romance, and a happily ever after then I highly recommend grabbing a copy of Away From Her today!

I absolutely tore through my read of Away From Her! Rosie was just an absolutely amazing characters, she’s had her fair share of baggage, but rather than making her cold she chooses to fight for those she feels have been wronged. She is quick witted, smart, and when she loves she loves fiercely even if it’s led her to heartbreak a time or two. And Theo is definitely one to be added to your book boyfriend list. He has loved Rosie forever but for reasons I shall let you read on your own has stayed away. But staying away doesn’t mean he loved her any less, and the way he’s so caring, and protective of her made him an immediate add to the book bf list! And if the characters weren’t enough to keep you reading this book then the romance and chemistry that sparks off the page between Rosie and Theo is just swoon-worthy! Truly I couldn’t put this book down, and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next in every chapter! Away From Her, and the entire Away series is definitely worth adding to your TBR today!

This book was good, but could have been the best with a 4/5 star rating easily if it weren't for a few hiccups.

While I am not a fan of insta love and haven't read much of F1-themed romance books, this was a nice and interesting read. I read this book as a standalone, by the way, and hence was introduced to all the characters and the backstory in this book. The banter and tension were simmering, but till the very end, we didn't see the MCs get together or anything happening with them, which felt like a bummer. It felt like we were lost in the past for the most part, and all we were waiting for was for them to talk, and just like that, it was resolved. I felt there was more to look forward to, or that we could have spent more time with the MCs as a couple at the present, or see stronger development of their individual characters, or them as a couple.

Not sure if it is because I read this book as a standalone, but it felt like we were missing a lot of context. I wish a lot of the smaller, subtle hints were elaborated in a grand way further into the book. I would have loved to understand better the relationship of the MCs with their family, as well as the MMC and the FMC's brother, a bit better. It felt like a lot of context was swept under the rug. That fallout from the past came out of nowhere and was honestly confusing. It is a common fallout you see in most of the second-chance romance books, but the rationale for it happening in this book just didn't feel strong enough.

P.S. Also, the number of times the FMC's mind voice or her talking to herself took up most of the chapters especially the initial ones were insance.

I'm loving all the sports romance novels that are around at the moment and Away From her Certainly didn't disappoint. This was such a cute and easy to follow read. I was hooked from the very first page and I read it in less than a day. I loved Rosie's character and I wanted her to have her happy ending that she deserved. plus I loved the chemistry between Rosie and Theo. This was the first book that I have read by the author and I will definitely be reading more by them. Overall a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers. Away From Her by Belinda Mary delivers the kind of second-chance romance that thrives on tension, history, and unresolved feelings.

Five years after Theo Romano broke her heart, Rosie Jackson suddenly finds herself working for him. Not only is he her former love, but now he’s also her boss — which makes ignoring him almost impossible. As Rosie tries to keep her head down and move forward with her life, Theo keeps asking for one thing: a chance to explain what really happened.

What I enjoyed most about this story is the emotional tension between Rosie and Theo. Their history creates a lot of layered moments where it’s clear neither of them ever truly moved on. The push and pull between resentment and lingering feelings makes their interactions compelling.

The setting around the Formula 1 world and Rosie’s connection to her brother’s racing career adds an interesting backdrop to the story as well.

This is the third book in the Beyond the Grid series, and while it can stand on its own, reading the series in order will definitely give you more context for the characters and relationships.

If you enjoy second chance romance with emotional tension, complicated history, and characters forced back into each other’s orbit, this one is worth checking out.

Away From Her is my first introduction to an F1 story, and I have to say I'll be back for more. I love the racing elements throughout the story.

Theo and Rosie fell quickly and hard in a whirlwind romance until Theo destroyed her heart five years ago. Fast forward five years, and her new boss is her sworn enemy Theo. Que sarcastic comments and terrible nicknames for her new boss. The more she tries to push him away, the closer he finds himself drawn to her.

Rosie thinks he hates her, but he is there for her at every turn, checking on her, feeding her, crashing her blind date.

Theo is seeking a second chance, but Rosie refuses to let her guard down. Can his charm soften her heart? Theo is super swoon worthy.

Theo and Rosie have off the charts chemistry. I love the glimpses of their past through Theo’s eyes. Their story is closed door, but have no fear you will feel all the longing, desire, and love that flows through their relationship.

The side characters bring so much depth to their story and are a delightful addition, especially Nate and his cluelessness about Theo and Rosie.

I loved Theo and Rosie, and I recommend Away From Her. The mystery of why he broke her heart will break yours as well.
I loved them and I think you will too.

Thank you to Belinda Mary for the ARC Away From Her. All opinions are my own. It's a fabulous story, and I can't wait for the next one.

4.5 ⭐️ - I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Of course I signed up to be an arc reader again for Belinda’s new book as I enjoyed Away With You so much, I knew I’d love this one too!

I enjoyed Rosie’s character from the previous book as a side character, but I loved her in her own book. Growing up in a well known F1 family and her parents having no goals for her, she didn’t know really what she wanted from her career. But that was before she met Theo.

Theo was a low level F1 driver five years ago, but once Rosie was in her life and filling her head 24/7 he starts to feel like she’s his lucky charm.

Things become very tangled with big feelings and big decisions, coming back to the now, Rosie can’t stand be in the same room after all these years and a heartbreak that she’s never moved on from.

The story is back and forth between 5 years ago and now, showing us the pair falling for one another, growing into their success and then the eventual heartbreak for both of them.

I love a second chance romance when it’s done right and this was perfection. The dual point of view to get Theo and Rosie’s side was welcome too, I love it when we know how both characters really feel.

You have time to go and read the previous books if you fancy getting your head into a new F1 world, starting with a love story that threads throughout the trilogy and intertwines well, even without reading all of them or even in order.

Out 14th April!

Rosie Jackson’s life has blown up and now she finds herself working for her brother, who is a Formula 1 driver. The only problem is that his manager, Theo, is someone that Rosie actively hates and now Theo is her boss. She plans to just do her job, keep her head down, and ignore Theo. But Theo doesn’t let her. With his thoughtful gestures, the way that he shows he cares, and the way that he talks to her, he’s trying to get back in her good graces. But the last time Rosie let Theo in and gave him her heart, he shattered it.

I love Belinda Mary books. They really are just so sweet. This is the third book in the Beyond the Grid series. You don’t have to read the others in order to read this one, but I highly suggest that you do because they are also fantastic books. In this book, we get the points of view of both Rosie and Theo, which I really like. I love getting into the guy’s head.

Through most of the book, you’re left wondering what Theo did to hurt Rosie so much. When we learn about the circumstances surrounding the events that occurred, I loved Theo for his original decision. I understood why he changed his mind, but he really is one of the good guys.

During this time after Rosie started working for her brother, they slowly find their way back to each other. While she is guarded, Theo really tries. They really are sweet together!

This is a fast read because you can’t stop reading it. So if you like a sweet, closed door romance, check this one out!

Simply put, this one was unexpected... in the very best way possible. From the start, the enemy vibes were absolute perfection... the banter was so good and the disdain Rosie had towards Theo was clear. And then we jump back to their first meeting and that first night that really seemed like fate. Their chemistry was jumping off the pages, and I found myself intrigued to know what had happened between them to get them to that point. The dual timeline kept me at the edge of my seat, and when we finally do discover what went down between them... oh my heart! I really didn't expect this one to be so emotional, and while it certainly had all those great romantic comedy moments too, it also brought me to tears, feeling the heartbreak between them. Of course, this only had me rooting for their second chance all that much more. Truly, I won't give anything away, but these two... my goodness, they absolutely had my heart! I've enjoyed every book in this series so far, but this one is certainly a new favorite for me. If you enjoy F1 romance and a good second chance at love, this is one not to be missed.

Away From Her is a closed-door romance with kisses only and some innuendo/language throughout. It is the third book in the Beyond the Grid series, and while you may see some familiar characters, I think this could be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

Belinda Mary has done it again! I loved the first two books in the “Beyond The Grid” series and this one did not disappoint. We meet Rosie and Theo in book two and can tell that there’s tension of some sort between them, and I am so glad they got their own book!

“Away From Her” is a second-chance, closed-door, (small) age gap romance following Rosie Jackson (sister of F1 driver Nathan Jackson) and Theo Romano (former F1 champion and Nathan’s manager). It appears that they hate each other, but through the past timeline chapters we see that they have history and learn how they got to where they are now. I thought the second chance element of this was well done and different from the typical minor miscommunication trope, although that is still kind of part of it.

Rosie and Theo are both loveable characters who work well together. I could understand getting frustrated with them sometimes because, if they had a conversation earlier, they may have been able to resolve things more quickly, but I thought the pacing was good and I liked the build up to revealing why they broke up. Belinda Mary does a great job at giving each character distinct personalities and showing their growth. Both main characters are dealing with different kinds of struggles and we see how they process these and grow in the midst of them.

This novel also has some of my favourite micro-tropes, so I had a fantastic reading experience. Like the previous books in the series, there is also a nice balance of F1-related content and romance. Additionally, I loved seeing Nathan and Katie as well as Nicky and Cherry at different points throughout the book! Seeing the way that Katie and Rosie interact was especially heartwarming, and I liked how Katie predicted an enemies-to-lovers plot.

Please check out the Beyond The Grid series (starting with “Away We Go”) if you like closed-door sports romance and want to read about relatable, realistic, loveable characters.

Content warnings are listed on the first page, and include parent death, workplace harassment, mild/moderate language, and alcohol.

Thank you so much to Belinda Mary for the ARC! All opinions are my own.

I’ve been so excited for this one, and there were so many things I loved about it. The emotional tension? So good. The history between Rosie and Theo? You can really feel it in every interaction. Belinda Mary does such a great job building that depth and making you root for a second chance.

Theo was easy to love. He felt genuine, patient, and clearly still holding onto something real. Their shared past added a lot of weight to the story, and I loved seeing those layers unfold.

That said, what kept this from being a five-star read for me was Rosie. I completely understand that her heart was broken and she didn’t owe Theo anything, but at times her reactions felt a little too harsh. She came across as more hostile than guarded, and it occasionally pulled me out of the story. I wanted just a bit more balance so their dynamic felt less one-sided for so long.

Even with that, I was still invested the whole way through. The angst, the history, and the emotional payoff made it a really enjoyable read. If you love second-chance romance with lots of tension and feelings, this one is definitely worth picking up.

This book had made me laugh and swoon; it broke my heart and the later pieced it up back together. It made me read for hours at a time, and when I got to the last remaining chapters I found myself unable to put the book down and sleeping way, way past my bedtime because there was no way I was going to quit reading until I get to the MCs' happy ever after. That was how engrossed and captivated I was by the book.

A big part of my addiction to the book was the mystery behind the MCs' current love-to-hate-you and I-can't-stand-you relationship. The alternating chapters that feature a throwback to the beginning and growth of their relationship helped fuel that mystery. Theirs was an attraction and a connection that was instant and inescapable, so where did it go wrong? Figuring that out had been an intoxicating ride indeed.

This is the third book by Belinda Mary that I've read, and she's truly become another of my must-read authors. Her stories are engaging, heartwarming, and rich with romance and hilarious banter. Books with heroines that make me laugh because of their sharp wit and humor are treasures to me, so I'm so glad that I finally have Belinda Mary to turn to for those kinds of books.

I was granted an advanced review copy of this book. I write this review voluntarily.

Away From Her is book 3 in the Beyond The Grid series and it can be read as a standalone. It was a fast, easy and cute read. I always love what Belinda writes and how easy it is to get sucked into her stories. I was excited to see where she would take Rosie & Theo's story. I thought the flashbacks to their past relationship was really well done. It gave a deeper meaning to their relationship and the enemies' vibes that we get from the start. Their relationship in the past was definitely very insta love, which for me is harder to connect with, but Belinda made it work in the end.

I really loved Rosie, she was such a great character. Her optimism, positivity and her determination didn't go unnoticed. Theo was a Teddy Bear and I just loved how they both blended so well. The reasoning for them breaking up in the beginning I was skeptical, but as a whole it made sense. Their reactions and feelings were entirely valid. I loved how they reconnected and rekindled their relationship, it was beautiful to read about.

Overall, this was a sweet, easy and bingeable romance, perfect palate cleanser. Nothing complicated or overly descriptive and easy to finish in one sitting. Excited to see what's next for this series !

ARC Review:

Away From Her by Belinda Mary

Thank you to the wonderful @belindamary.author for allowing me to read the early copy of Away From Her! This is my second book of hers I have read and she just doesn’t disappoint. This was my first F1 read so I went into it with a fresh perspective. But what really had me hooked was Rosie and Theo’s storyline. Getting to go back to the past of their relationship and slip back into their present day interactions. Seeing where that true healing can begin and spark a second chance at love. Love, love, loved it!

Review Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Five years ago, he broke her heart. Now, he’s her new boss.Rosie Jackson’s life is imploding. In the span of one disastrous week, her dream career goes up in smoke, and she finds herself working for her famous Formula 1 driver brother working for her brother’s manager. Theo Romano.
Satan Junior. Former love of her life, and current bane of her existence.
Letting Theo Romano back into her life-back into her heart—is absolutely not an option. ...Right?

As a newcomer to the world of sports romance, I've been genuinely impressed by Belinda Mary's works. My journey began with her previous book, Away With You, and I must say, I'm now a big fan of F1-themed, closed-door romances. Away From Her features Theo, a grumpy yet lovable former F1 champion turned manager, and Rosie, a witty true crime podcast host who has transitioned into law. Their enemies-to-lovers journey and second-chance romance completely captivated me.

The banter between these two main characters is fantastic; Rosie is such a firecracker, fiercely determined to keep her distance from the man she's always loved. Meanwhile, Theo may seem uptight and grumpy, but he has a heart of gold and goes above and beyond for Rosie, both in the limelight and behind the scenes. The dual timeline and alternating points of view add depth to the narrative, and I found myself teary-eyed multiple times as the story unfolded. And that 8-year age gap? Absolutely yes! As a closed-door romance, this story feels refreshingly unique, and the plot is beautifully crafted, allowing more focus on their backstory. I can't wait to explore more of her work!

“One thousand, eight hundred and fifty-seven days. That’s how long I spent away from her.”

Away From Her is an enemies to lovers, second chance, F1 romance between Theo Romano and Rosie Jackson who fell in love 5 years prior but after a sudden end, they can’t seem to stay away from each other.

Theo is a 6’ 1”, Italian, former F1 champion who works for Nathan Jackson. At 33, he’s introverted and grumpy who takes life a bit too seriously.

Rosie is a fun, 26 year old lawyer who loves food, true crime, and has an interesting conspiracy theory about pandas. She’s the sister to Nathan Jackson and despises Theo with every once of her being.

Rosie has only loved one person and has only been heartbroken by one person, Theo. When they are forced to spend copious amounts of time together, Rosie is determined to be as far away from Theo as possible, however he’s looking to make amends for the mistakes of the past and bury the hatchet.

Will Rosie, the number 1 grudge-holder, forgive Theo, or do the scars of the past run too deep?

I loved Theo and Rosie’s story - the absolutely amazing banter and wit from Rosie mixed in with Theo’s whole character made me adore these characters so much. An amazing romance with the most painfully beautiful story.

Away From Her is a second-chance, slow-burn romance that centers on healing, trust, and redemption.

Rosie and Theo’s relationship is shaped by a painful past, with their separation leaving lasting emotional impact. When they are brought back into each other’s lives years later, the story focuses on what it truly takes to rebuild something that was broken.

Rather than relying on simple reconciliation, the narrative emphasizes the process of earning trust again. Theo’s efforts to reconnect are shown through thoughtful and consistent actions, which adds authenticity to his redemption arc.

Rosie’s perspective highlights the difficulty of opening up after heartbreak. Her hesitation and emotional boundaries feel realistic, making her journey toward trust both believable and meaningful.

The slow-burn pacing allows their relationship to develop naturally, reinforcing the emotional weight of their second chance.

Their history creates tension that adds an enemies-to-lovers feel to their dynamic

Overall, Away From Her is a heartfelt and character-driven romance that explores what it means to trust again after being hurt.

This book wraps up the Beyond the Grid series so beautifully, but it’s also such a standout on its own. A second chance, enemies-to-lovers romance set in the world of Formula 1? It had me hooked from the start. But what really made this hit was how emotional and earned everything felt.

Rosie and Theo… I was obsessed. The tension, the history, the way they’ve been circling each other for years without anyone really knowing why—it made every interaction feel loaded. And when you finally get the full picture? It hurts in the best way. The dual timeline worked so well, slowly piecing together their past while watching them try (and fail) to ignore everything in the present.

Rosie is fiery, stubborn, and so easy to root for, while Theo is calm, steady, and quietly holding onto everything—and that dynamic just worked. Their chemistry never felt forced, it was always there, just buried under years of hurt and misunderstandings.

And somehow, in the middle of all this emotion, I found myself fully invested in pandas and conspiracy theories… which I did not expect going into an F1 romance, but honestly? It just added to the charm

This felt like such a full-circle moment for the series. Seeing past characters and watching everything come together—it was the perfect goodbye.

Away From Her by Belinda Mary is a beautifully written and emotionally charged novel that explores the complexities of love, memory, and letting go. The story delves into the lives of its characters with tenderness and nuance, showing how the past can shape relationships in unexpected ways.

The writing style is both lyrical and accessible, drawing you into the emotional landscape of the characters. I appreciated how Belinda Mary handles difficult topics (like that period scene) with sensitivity, never shying away from the rawness of heartbreak and change.

One of the standout aspects for me was the way the novel captures the gradual unraveling of memories and the bittersweet process of moving forward. The pacing is gentle, giving each moment space to breathe, and the alternating perspectives bring depth to the narrative.

While some might find the story quietly heartbreaking, it’s also ultimately hopeful, reminding us that new beginnings are possible even in the face of loss. Away From Her is a wait until the last page reveal full of twists and turns.

Away From Her by Belinda Mary is such an enjoyable dive into the high-speed, high-stakes world of Formula 1 romance. I was so excited to finally get Rosie and Theo’s story after catching glimpses of Rosie in the previous Beyond the Grid books and it absolutely delivered.

Belinda Mary does a fantastic job weaving together second chance romance with enemies to lovers, creating a story that feels both emotionally layered and completely addictive. The tension between Rosie and Theo is palpable from the start, and their history adds so much depth to every interaction.

I found myself completely invested in uncovering what happened five years ago, what Theo did, why it hurt Rosie so deeply, and why he stayed afterward. That slow unraveling was handled so well and kept me turning the pages, eager for every reveal.

This is a romance full of heart, tension, and just the right amount of angst, all set against the thrilling backdrop of the F1 world. If you love second chance romances with a touch of enemies-to-lovers energy, this one is definitely worth picking up.
