Whenever they’re in the same room, it’s like a natural disaster.

But that’s the thing about disasters.

The worse they get, the harder it is to look away.

Fresh out of the psych ward, Izzy Maxwell is determined to turn her life around. A new city, a new job, and a few college classes—just to prove to herself that she can.

But Mr. King doesn’t believe in fresh starts.
The jaded, no-nonsense TA has watched too many bright-eyed students burn out before the semester’s over, and he’s certain Izzy Maxwell will be no different.

Until it turns out that she is.

Zakai King has spent years buried in his research. Teaching was never part of the plan—it was a temporary stop on his way out of Emerston U, a means to finish his dissertation and finally lay the ghosts of his friends to rest.

Getting close to her isn’t just forbidden—it could cost him everything he’s worked for.
And for Izzy, who’s never even been kissed, wanting an older man was never part of the plan.

So why can’t they walk away?

Third Time’s a Charm is a steamy, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance filled with tension and chemistry. Perfect for readers who love watching two people fight their feelings… almost as hard as they fight each other.

I had been waiting for this book for so long. During my reading slump, I completely lost the desire to read. I reached a point where I wasn’t enjoying any book I picked up and felt like I was losing my “love” for reading. Then Ayelet released this book — and trust me, I knew it would pull me out of my slump. It’s an amazing book with a gripping and fascinating plot that makes you unable to stop reading.

Izzy and Zakai completely stole my heart in the best way possible. I truly felt like I was right there with them inside the story.

The tropes in this book are such a huge plus. Professor and student?? Sign me up right now.

The characters were excellent — I honestly don’t have a single bad thing to say about them.

And the smut?? Don’t even get me started!!

All I did was obsessively message Ayelet about it — poor thing, what she had to deal with because of me 🤣

Thank you, Ayelet, for giving me the opportunity to read this as an early copy. It’s really not something I take for granted at all.

I can’t believe I finished it, and I recommend everyone start reading it immediately!

OKAYY THIS WAS SO SO FUCKING GOOD!! 4.9 ⭐️

I have a couple of things to say here- I've read all of the books in the series and i adored every single one of them. This one, though? My absolute FAVOURITE. 😍😍

I loved SO MANY THINGS. From how much I could relate to the characters' struggles, fears, sources of peace, to the forbidden romance aspect of it (I am nothing if not a sucker for forbidden romance between a teacher and his student! [both adults, of course]) and of course, to the spice 🌶🌶🌶

There are a couple of things I wanna talk more about!!

first, there's the two characters' dynemic. I loved how they both bickered and acted as the perfect brat x brat tamer couple I've ever read about. Then, there's also the fact that both of them are there for each other. Every time one of them comforted the other, I kid you not - I cried. 🥹🥹🥹

In general- I love Izzy so so much. I have been waiting for this book ever since I read about Izzy back in One Time Thing.
I found her relatable in so many ways - both before the book came out - and after reading it. Izzy is literally my baby. No one can convince me otherwise 🥹🫶🏻

Zakai- I am going to be so honest with you - find him so hot, and he's literally in my top 15 book boyfriends. He is also my baby. I get his struggles and his strong determination towards the things he's passionate about. did he piss me off a couple of times? yes. but even Xaden Riorson, who's my no.1 book boyfriend pissed me off sometimes. ANYWAYS. I LOVE BOTH ZAKAI AND IZZY SO MUCH 🥹🥹

The spice🌶🌶🌶
In the previous books, I obviously liked the spice, but some of it was less my type. Obviously, I still enjoyed it, but way less than HERE😍😍😍
I don't even know how to explain it, but somehow, like 90% of the things I'm into WERE HERE. 😝😝😝
So yes, this was wonderful, and I think it's the first ever book where I liked ALL of the spice in the book😍.

Did I cry ? yes. Did I scream ? yes. Did I giggle and kick my feet? yes. Will this book go on my favourite books bookshelf once I get the physical copy? 100%

the only reason it isn't 5 stars is because there were a couple of time jumps at the beginning, and it made me feel like I was reading "Twisted Games" by Ana Huang all over again🙄 (yes, I do not like that book. bite me) and the fact that there were a couple of things that confused me.

a couple of last things -

I finished this book in a DAY!! 😍 I DO NOT KNOW WHAT AYELET EDEN PUTS IN THOSE DAMN BOOKS, BUT I AM SO SO INVESTED EVERY SINGLE TIME!!😍😍😍

lastly- I would like to thank Ayelet Eden for letting me read this early as an ARC reader. I loved it so so much (and I let her know it! sorry for yapping to you so much about it the entire day 😭🙏🙏)

My obsession with interconnected standalones has astronomically grown because of this series. Not only were the connections between books flawless, but I really felt so in tune with each couple as they went along. Izzy was so sweet, I absolutely loved her vibes and attitude. Zakai was harsh at first but experiencing him softening for her, all the while being so lost at what he was feeling until it all just clicked was done perfectly. The flow of each one of these books was beautiful. I truly loved every single bit.
