Heard about this book from author Ashley Manley. Congrats to this new author on his first book. It's an intriguing start to new fantasy series. Currently offered only in paperback. It's been a while since I've read a paper book and took me a little longer to finish. As with any new fantasy series, it takes time to set the stage, establish characters and get the ground rules. A glossary would've been helpful. I ended up making my own with notes of who's who and their relationship to each other, etc. The story moves back and forth between past and present and its loaded with mystery, action and supense. Likeable YA main characters Lukas and Skykar are the love interest here. The last 30% was action packed and soooo revealing. Terrific ending!
Enjoyed the bonus features. Don't miss the teaser chapter for Cedaria: The Forgotten Ones book 2. Looking forward to its release.
Wow I’m very Impressed with the author as I believe he wrote this when he was in high school! What an inspiring accomplishment! I’ll share two things I loved and one thing I didn’t love. I loved how the chapters weaved between time and characters. It was creative and a fascinating way to share a story. I also loved the surprises at the end! (No spoilers ;) ) The thing I didn’t love so much were the fight scenes. I would have loved to see more of action during them, as it was a little hard to understand the power system. Over all I thought the characters were well rounded and the story was solid! Great job Mr. Author!! You did it!
