Cross over the bridge with Calico—into the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and her past. By viewing where she began with new eyes, she’ll be one step closer to her happily ever after. From the secret told under the lights of the Brooklyn Bridge, to her old stomping ground in Midtown—Calico will see New York like she never has before. The Bishop’s firm hand and strict old school style will teach her lessons once more. Together they will journey beneath the cold city and to the star strewn heights—for a deep and aerial view of Calico’s past, present and future. Only Markus knew how much was left for her to learn and only the Bishop’s tactics could make everything fall into place. Calico’s journey is almost complete and this is the hardest and most fulfilling lesson yet!
I write raw, gritty, and flawed characters who ultimately find, perfection is not a prerequisite. Our flaws are what make us unique and some flaws compliment each other better than others.
About B.B. Blaque I’m a dark author . . . I won’t call the dark stuff romance in the least, but there is much erotica and SUPER MIND F**KERY. I’ve even been told recently there’s a big helping of horror. My other books do have a lot of romance and HEA, just not the Beautiful Evil or Sawree Duet)
I live the BDSM lifestyle (as a submissive/slave) and have for many years, so when I write it comes from knowledge of the subject matter. My dark stuff is NOT BDSM (except for Beautiful Evil the Master and The Masters M.C. #2 Beautiful Insanity.)
I’ve also been involved, in some way, with bikers, and motorcycle clubs since I was a teenager. What I write doesn’t come from research; it comes from living the lifestyles and writing what I know.
That being said, I also love psychology, the darkness of people’s minds, serial killer profiles, and horror. I write monsters who are real men—which to me are much more frightening because they could be anyone you know.
I love BDSM (Male dominant/female submissive.) There's something that just feels so right about a man wearing the pants (especially when he wears them well and fills them nicely.) I am interested in the psychological aspects of relationships in general and especially when there is a power-exchange dynamic.
My world would stopping revolving if not for heavy rock music (and the wonderfully talented people who make it.) Music and it's makers will definitely be strongly visible in my work. I listen, I remember...I listen, I'm inspired...to write...to love...to f**k...to live.
Calico is still soaring high from her night with Blaze, front man for HOT KINK. The next stage of Calico's journey has been laid out by her deceased Master and husband Marcus. She's off to New York to face her past and the Bishop.
Calico wasn't always a proper, refined woman. She was once Carissa, a teenager eking out life on the streets. She was rescued from the darkness by Marcus. When Calico agreed to become Marcus's slave, he entrusted the young woman with his good friend—the Bishop. In New York, she will once again submit to the tutelage of the Bishop. Stern, demanding, and authoritative, the Bishop reminds Calico what it means to serve with utter obedience.
B.B. Blaque weaves Calico's past into her present, reflecting back and forth. B.B. puts you in Calico's head. Through her feel every kiss of the whip, every bite of the thorns, and every crack of the cane. The passion is punctuated with all-too human moments. It would be so easy to write Calico as one-dimensional—submissive. B.B. Blaque understands the psyche of the willing submissive and paints Calico with many facets.
The BDSM is hot and passionate. The Bishop makes Derrick and Blaze seem amateurs in the domination department. He takes Calico to new levels of obedience—and she enjoys herself greatly. But the Bishop is only preparing her for someone else.
The story builds towards Calico's special night. All of Marcus's plans have been leading his slave to one fateful decision. B.B. Blaque weaves grief and hope into a passionate, page-turning tale. I know I can't wait to read FOREVER Your Master to find out how Calico story ends and which choice she shall make.
I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Calico and Markus' beautiful M/s relationship is a showcase of how much he loved and cared for her. Even after his death, Markus has implemented a network of provisions to provide for her care and transition into life after, in the next chapter of hers. The Bishop is so incredible and alluring, yet at the same time so powerfully perfect you cant help but submit to his desires and guidance. His roses are beautifully fragrant and soft, but the thorns are enough to be delightfully dangerous and thrilling. The power of a rose never was so much, as when wielded by The Bishop. This stage of Calico's journey has her embracing her past and learning even more now from it. Sheridan is a constant reminder of her journey and a strong supporter in her staying the course of her future. Through tests and reunions, Calico is stronger than before and is fully embracing her journey that Markus has guided her along. The love and reminders are so unique, yet completely selfless and satisfying...proving just how 'lofty' this 'devotions' are to her.
I can't wait to see what is next in her journey. Living this next stage may be her biggest challenge yet!
This book had a slightly different feel to me. Still powerful with how Markus is still there for Calico, but The Bishop is very intense. He was the one to train all the old habits out of her, and the one to get her ready for her life with Markus. Even though I had my tissue to use, I felt more happy for Calico with her choices and how she has grown. You really feel how life shaped her and gave her the strength to continue after Markus's passing. Bishop takes her on a trip down memory lane and gives her the gift of Markus still protecting and thinking of her. You get a hint for the next book where Calico's life will take another direction. Life is full of choices, and Calico's future will then be decided.
I really hope the next book is soon. My mind has so many ideas of how the future will continue for Calico, but only B. B. Blaque knows what the future holds.
Title: STILL YOUR MASTER Series: Not Even Death #3 Category /Genre: Contemporary Romance, BDSM Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Grammar/editing: Grammar/editing: A – near perfect Received from: B.B. Blaque (as a gifted copy)
ALWAYS YOUR MASTER is the third book in the Not Even Death series. They definitely must be read in order.
I absolutely could not put this down and finished it in one day, immediately after and on the same day as STILL YOUR MASTER!
To review: after reading the first book, I quipped that my favorite character wasn’t even there. Marcus, Calico’s husband and Master, may have been parted from her by death, but he has proven his love is far-reaching and eternal. He has left letters, gifts, and friends to guide his slave to her future happiness.
The first Master to assist was Derrick who taught Calico that she would need to live, love, and serve again in order to be fulfilled as a slave.
Next was Blaze, rock-star and a personal fantasy for Calico, to encourage her to open her wings. It is in trusting that she will be able to fly again. This time, Marcus has returned her to the tutelage of the Bishop, the man whom Marcus first entrusted her to when he took her as his slave. The Bishop runs an elite school for submissives and now he has Carissa as a returning student. Together, they explore her past as a NYC street rat, her present as a lost slave, and her future as fulfilled slave once again.
The gift of a separate love names from each man continues. Marcus called her Calico and Kitten instead of Carissa, Derrick called her Cali. Blaze named her Kitty. Now, the Bishop calls her Pet. Even her old friend, Sheridan has special name for Carissa. He calls her Kitty-Cat or Callie-Kat.
I’m told that the Bishop is the favorite character for many readers, especially those who are part of the scene and therefore should know best. I didn’t particularly like him. He scared me. I can’t really say why or how, but he scared me. Maybe it was because of the past lessons she had under him, as some of them are beyond boundaries I would set. Maybe it’s because I don’t truly understand the difference between submissive and slave. Either way, for Carissa, he is an important step in this path to her new discovery of herself and her preparation for her future – whatever that future may ultimately be.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series, FOREVER YOUR MASTER!
As each day passes Calico is growing stronger and beginning to really understand certain choices that she has made in her life. To compleate her life circle she needs to understand her past and what 'Could have been'. To do this she needs to go right back to the beginning. Her Master has entrusted a very dear friend . . . Introducing The Bishop . . . Travelling back through time with the help of The Bishop and her Master, she opens her eyes and learns how her life could have turned out had she never met Him, Markus and become his slave. Markus wants Calico to find her Happy Ever After. With the guiding hand and instructions left by Markus, Calico begins to understand things she has never before. She is eventually given yet another huge shock of which she has to experience before she can finally make one of the biggest decisions of her life! You will want to discover the full story of Calico Cruz and this mind blowing journey that she continues on. I along with everyone who reads this story, will be waiting in anticipation for the next steps that are going to be taken. I shall give this book a well earned : 10/10 MUST READ.
This is book number three in the series , Number three of calicos journey in finding herself. This was another hot read from the series, but for me there seem to be a lot more emotion in this book more emotions for calico where she needs to revisit her past and make a decision past or future. And for this she has bishop to guide her through and oh my the way he's described you could picture his voice and just melt every time he talked. And for calico it was like going back to school she remember so much of bishop the roses the rice and the feeling. For me this book got really intense at the end where I found myself going to the same feelings as calico and when she has to make a decision i'm sitting there hoping she makes the right but myself getting all tangled up in her emotions in the way she's feeling at that moment affected me also.. Now I don't give away any of the books that I read but I do hope that this book grabs you from the beginning to end like it did for me and where you can connect with calico and have the same feelings as she does through her journey. This is definitely a five star read and I highly recommended read
Calico (Carissa) was a troubled teenager. Markus was her master and Bishop was a friend of Markus who trained Calico (But is the training finished or are there still lessons left to learn?) After the death of her master Calico heads back to the begging, where everything began. I love the way B.B travels from the present to the past and back again. It wasn’t hard to follow the story line. I have read other BDSM written books. This book is one of the best I have read. The way B.B wrote the book is exquisite. You start and finish and she leaves you wanting more. I cannot wait to read the next part of the story and see where it goes and see where Calico’s choices take her.
Loved this book! This series is great. It kept me guessing on how the story would end. For a series of novellas the depth of the content was amazing. The author was able to captivate, bring out emotions and bring you through some of the obstacles you hurdle when grieving a loved one. I recommend reading this series/book.
if you are looking for a HOT AS HELL. quick read don't look any farther you found it(read the first 2 first) B.B. you did it again!!!! WOW!!!! Bishop is intense but May just be my favorite..
