Part Two

Rate this book
It was love at first sight-at least for Adair-the moment he saw Sabine dancing across the room, completely offbeat, without a hint of shame. From that first awkward sway, something clicked. Their love moved fast, full of promise and plans, certain they'd last forever. But life doesn't always honor our timelines. Somewhere between ambition, grief, and growing apart, everything shifted. What once felt unbreakable became unspeakable. Words went unspoken. Needs unmet. The silence between them grew louder than any fight. Their marriage didn't just end-it unraveled. Quietly. Cruelly. Beneath the weight of everything they couldn't say out loud. Now, years later, they're no longer husband and wife, but they're still tethered-by the son they raised together and the grief that never fully left.

Loveeeeeee this read so much! This was raw, emotional and layered. Following what happens after love is lost. Honestly I am still processing because I honestly don’t know what I would do if I was in this situation. I loved the character development and the healing that took place from both characters. Anytime you know Dr.Pie makes an appearance it’s some healing happening! The only thing I wish I saw was more from the ending. Like seeing more after the healing had took place. But overall I really loved this read and would recommend!

***UPDATE-After really sitting with my thoughts on this book! This was a 5 star book. I finished Friday morning and have not stopped thinking about this book!!

We can always count on Nina for a 5 star read that made you cry the whole way through. I came in blind, had no idea what to expect and it turned out to be everything I needed!

Adair and Sabine are love, they are the walking talking epitome of loving someone so much it hurts. Part Two pens the story of their love from the foundation, to its destruction. It takes you through their journey of finding each other, finding themselves in the wake of a loss, and fighting tooth and nail to find their way back to each other again.

Sabine is a powerhouse of a woman that carried grief, motherhood, uncertainties and self discovery all while chasing a monumental dream of her own. Adair was a mountain of a man, a pillar of a father and in chasing his dreams of pursuing a law career, he somehow lost sight of the one person he was able to call home.

Part Two made me cry real tears and laugh out loud! This is one of those forever love stories that plays back in your head long after reading. A beautiful story from cover to cover, a true depiction of how love and life are not linear and how so much beauty can bloom in the process that is healing.

Beautiful…

Love.. through grief, forgiveness and understanding. A journey of finding yourself and peace. Take your time with this read. The writing was poetic.

If I had to describe the vibe.. it would be “Before I let go and Fast” intertwined (If you have read those)

Check the trigger warnings. But if you are interested in a beautiful emotional roller coaster. Jump on and take the ride 😘

I don’t want to give the story away but Part Two touched my heart in a way I didn’t expect. The love felt genuine, the pain felt heavy, and the emotional connection between the characters was written so beautifully. Nina has a way of making you see pieces of yourself in her stories, and that’s what makes her books unforgettable. This is a definite reread in the near future.

The cadence of this book is super different than her other writing. This is super similar to chatgpt like she used ai to assist her in writing this and it took away from the soul of the writing and her usual style for me.
