I made a deal with the devil. Correction. I made a deal with the one person I should have never even thought about asking for help. Because in exchange for his safety, my body is now his. In every filthy way, he decides to use me. The degradation. The humiliation. The way he demands my submission... It's all the things I want but never knew how to ask for. However, it's quickly becoming something more, and the confession that's on the tip of my tongue might ruin me. I'm in love with my twin brother.

This was my first book by this author and it won't be my last! I loved how the story unfolded! The balance between the plot and spice was great! I love a high heat book and this one had that!
Elliot thrives in structure and Malakai is the perfect person to give him what he craves, when Elliot returns home broken and bruised, his brother takes no time finally giving Elliot what they both want!
It was interesting to see them navigate this relationship while Malakai tries to build Elliot's self esteem again.
I enjoyed the ending as well! it wasn't the typical story book ending and I thought that was a nice change of pace! ❤️
This was the ultimate forbidden romance, between brothers Elliot and Malakai, estranged twins who face the complexities of blurred lines, codependency, and dangerous confessions with Elliot's return home. Elliot needs structure and commands to calm his chaos and heal from his trauma, and Malakai needs to protect his brother and show him he is needed, wanted and worth everything. It's an emotional plot of control, submission and trust, and a dark romance that explores taboo love, obsession and dominance. I enjoyed Malakai's protective nature, his awareness of all of Elliot's needs, how he removes any threats, and how fiercely possessive he is. Elliot is afraid of his shifting feelings, but the only peace he gets is from Malakai's orders and dominance, his brother is the only one who sees him and understands what he needs, and he'll do anything to please him. The spice scenes explore power exchange, Dom sub dynamics, hurt/comfort, and boundaries including denial, collaring, edging, praise, and toys at work. It's high heat, medium burn, and there are lots of intense moments and secret liaisons. Their parents are horrendous, and poor Elliot seems to attract the worst people, but luckily Malakai will step in and protect his little doe.
🔥"After years of watching and wanting and waiting, Elliot is finally, irrevocably mine"
🔥"The ways I want to take you apart and put you back together. You're not ready for any of it."
🔥"You're mine to protect. Mine to care for. Mine to cherish... Mine to play with."
🔥"I want this. I need this. I need him to use me, to take what he wants, and to make me his in every way that matters.
I’m a sucker for a really well-written taboo MM story, so I was immediately drawn to this one by N. Slater.
This is the story of Elliot and Malakai, identical twins who couldn’t be more different. Malakai is the successful CEO of their parents’ company, while Elliot struggles to find his place in the world. His life has been a series of setbacks, culminating in his return home, bruised and defeated, after attempting to live independently and attend college.
Everything shifts when Malakai decides to grant Elliot’s wish and help him overcome his struggles. What follows is a story filled with desperation, raw emotion, and intense passion. Every word drew me in, and I loved watching the relationship between these two evolve in ways that were both tender and thrillingly forbidden.
If you enjoy stories that push boundaries and explore complex emotions and desires, this one is absolutely worth your time.
This is the worst thing I’ve ever read. I want to bleach my brain. The writing was croc sh*t. There were so many plot holes and it was unnecessarily repetitive. The timeline didn’t add up. First he was in grad school and then suddenly he’s completing a 4 year degree? He went to California 6 months ago but somehow was there for 3 years? How has one twin completed a degree and started running the company for years before the other with no mention of him being super smart or anything like that? There was potential to make marcus a real antagonist and that was just dropped. There was potential with Conor and that was also just dropped. It’s like the author woke up everyday and forget what they wrote yesterday and just went with the flow. Absolutely horrible read. I would have DNF’d but I had to see it through.
My Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vows and Venom by N. Slater Elliot comes home broken and desperate, searching for safety, but what he finds is something far more dangerous. Sanctuary becomes a cage. Comfort turns into possession. And the one person who should protect him becomes the very thing he can’t escape.
Malakai and Elliot are a slow descent into obsession. Their connection is poisonous, magnetic, and soaked in guilt and want. Every moment between them feels heavy with control, restraint, and the terrifying realization that some lines, once crossed, can never be uncrossed.
This story thrives in the shadows. The chemistry is brutal, the emotions raw and cutting, and the taboo element isn’t just present,it presses down on you, making every interaction ache with tension and inevitability. You feel the internal war, the shame, the craving, and the pull toward something that should never feel this right.
N. Slater delivers taboo at its most punishing and compelling. The characters feel disturbingly real, their bond painfully intimate, and the emotional intensity relentless. This isn’t a romance meant to comfort—it’s one meant to haunt.
Vows and Venom is dark romance at its most unforgiving. It didn’t just meet my expectations,it dragged me straight into the venom and refused to let go. 🖤🔥
This is a forbidden romance MM twin brother book. And it was amazing. What started out as a small project ended up turning into a full length book and I had so much fun reading it.
The spice was fantastic. The hurt/ feels from the past the MC had made me tear up at times. And the BDSM aspects of the book were absolutely top notch. Where so many books get the dynamics wrong- who has the power/ why and why people are in the kink community etc. this book exceeds by far.
Thank you N. Slater for letting me read this book early and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I did.
And if family love ain't you think kindly scroll on. :)
Omg this book is everything I needed and more. Loved the taboo relationship and the dynamics between Malakai and Elliot, the chemistry between them was off the chart smoking hot 🔥 I definitely need a Malakai in my life. He can collar me any day. I love how protective and caring these 2 men showed up for each other. The level of passion and understanding one other was awesome to read. I really wanted to just hug Elliot through out reading this book. I highly recommend reading this taboo book . It gave me all the feels. Totally had a book hangover.
ARC review I’m giving this something between a 3,5 and a 4. The writing is good, albeit a little repetitive at times.
It was a bit too insta-everything for my taste. Everything was happening very fast. If only there had been a «two weeks of this» or «a month later» or something like that it would have been a bit more believable to me. Or adding some flashbacks or something to when they were younger just to build the relationship a bit.
Other than that I enjoyed it. Enjoyed the dynamic and the evolution of the characters (even though it was a bit too quick for me)
Elliot returns home broken, bruised and fragul. He has always felt that he is the worthless son. Malakai, his twin is there to pick him up and show him he is wanted, loved and so much more. Their story had me from the first page. My heart hurt for Elliot and the struggle he goes through to realize that he is wanted and loved. Their story is so well written. Taboo twinest, protective, obsessive, secret love, God awful parents, abusive ex and so much more.
I don't read a lot of taboo but I really enjoyed this one. Kai was intense but it was definitely what Elliot needed. My heart did break Elliot for all he had been through as well as what he was struggling with. I was really glad they were able to finally communicate and make their way to their HEA. I really wanted to drop kick their parents though.
From the very first page, I was hooked. The chemistry between the brothers was electric right from the start, making it impossible to put the book down. A gripping read from beginning to end, I couldn't get enough.
I loved this book so much! The slow burn, the spice... the feelings, so much feeling.... The characters have depth and their evolvement is sooo delicious! I felt every feeling and took me a couple days to get over it. Just couldn't get enough! This shot up to my top 5 list of re- reads in a second.
Well well well. That was definitely something. The spice is whew 🥵 After about the 70% mark I was losing interest. It seemed that some parts were repetitive. I’m not sure. But up until then I was loving it. Definitely a good book for my first dabble into taboo.
Elliot is broken when he comes home, and Malakai is there to show him his worth! These two are passionate, raw, and intense. It's a fantastically written taboo story!
My first twincest story and whoo boy! Spicy, sweet, and enduring. I loved every moment and hated some characters for reasons and loved other characters for other reasons lol. I love how I keep reading and I keep finding new ways/things that make me want more from authors!
I like a taboo romance and really enjoyed this book Elliot is treated horrifically by his parents compared to his his twin malaki is treated so it’s nice to see him being loved and looked after twin or not Elliot gets everything he needs and is happier than he’s ever been

Ok so this book had twin brothers hooking up, so incest, but it’s actually a good story. You can’t really ignore the incest storyline as it’s discussed often, that thy have to hide it from the parents etc. the ‘older’ twin protects the younger one from an abusive ex and the parents who have ignored him his whole life. He helps him get better and live better. It’s not mafia or mob boss or anything the older is just a CEO of a global business but he doesn’t beat up people and threatens to burn the world down for his brother. There’s a bit of bdsm but it’s to help his brother through things and once his brother is better they stop it. It’s all consent between them. I don’t get why they didn’t just move to a house the parents won’t even come to and have minimal staff there?
When it comes to full-length Taboo, they can be hard to find. So when I find one, I need it.
And..... It hit so good if you're looking for an MM (twins) taboo to add to your book collection snap this one up. It's got the spice you want. The story keeps you hooked. Will definitely be keeping my eye out on N.Slater for any new taboo books in the future.
