ok so??? the first book? wow. incredible. absolutely incredible. but THIS ONE??? THIS ONE???? 😭😭😭 I think I've gone through every single human emotion available. joy. rage. hope. despair. heartbreak. relief. emotional devastation. repeat. because this book is HEAVY as hell. and yet somehow it's also full of so much love.

Emma and Bo's determination? no. absolutely not ✋🏼😭I can't even talk about it without wanting to cry. and don't even get me started on Noah and Jesse.

the way they SHOW UP.

the way they refuse to give up.

the way they're just... there.

again and again and again.

fighting for the people they love, even when it's hard, even when it's messy, even when it hurts. my heart was not prepared😭 and Emma… dear god the WOMAN that you are, fuck em’ UP BABE, chew chew 👸🏼💅🏼

and can we PLEASE talk about the writing? because LISTEN. this is not something I say often. like, often often for books in this genre, but this book is genuinely WELL WRITTEN. well written on, a, level. whoever L. Taylor is, that person has been blessed by the gods of storytelling because wow. I have no notes. none.

the story, the relationships, the emotional depth, the way it explores what it means to have someone in your corner, someone willing to fight for you even when you can't fight for yourself... it was all handled so beautifully.

and unfortunately for me, men like Bo, Jesse and Noah continue to raise the bar to absolutely impossible heights. these men can do whatever they want🫡🫠

which feels slightly insensitive considering what this book is actually about but I CHOOSE HAPPINESS TODAY, OKAY??? I will not be taking questions.

anyway, I'm completely ruined. I already need book three. I do not want to wait. I will not wait. I refuse to wait. give it to me NOW😭😭😭 thank you for this book. my mind is blown. my heart is broken. and somehow I loved every second of it ❤️‍🩹🫡✨😭

This book was a wild ride. Ugh my heart aches. I feel like if you liked Hunting Adeline, you would probably like this one too! My heart hurts so bad for Bo and Emma… honestly all of my babies 😭

I can’t give too much of a recap on this book since it’s the second in the series and it will definitely spoil a lot of things, so I won’t say too much but I will hint at some things so that after you read it you’ll understand.

The epilogue??? WHY DO I KIND OF FEEL BAD??😭 I know I shouldn’t because he’s a disgusting person but from his POV??? I FEEL KIND OF BAD 😭 Is something wrong with me?? It’s the empath in me, isn’t it??

BO?!? WHERE TF YOU AT LOCO??? I need book 3 now because I’m nosy and I need to know wtf is going on. My baby Jesse trying to be so patient. 😭

And of course, you can’t forget the loml Noah. Ugh I love that man so bad and this book just made him 100 times hotter. The way he talks to Emma is so precious. And the filthy things that come out of his mouth??😮‍💨 Ugh. I love him so much.

Overall, I loved this book. It broke my heart, made me sick to stomach, got me feeling hot and bothered, swooning, and more. I think this was a GREAT story that definitely has me feeling impatient for book 3.

This book picks up right where we left off and wowza was it an emotionally hard one to read. The amount of tears I cried!!

I love that we got to see how strong Emma became after everything that she endured. Jesse and Noah are still possessive as ever and they will do anything to see her smile.

Bo and Emma fighting with everything that they had while being kidnapped 💔 Literally everything!

Jesse being patient with Bo to give him what he needs and still loving him.

Noah being her rock when literally everything went to shit and still being absolutely obsessed and possessive with her.

PLEASE check your trigger warnings! This book will gut you then put you back together. You will watch Emma grow from the beginning to the very end of this book and find out how strong she really is.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Absolutely addictive, heartbreaking, and impossible to put down.
This series continues to absolutely wreck me in the best possible way. Dollhouse was an emotional rollercoaster that had me hooked from the very first page, and somehow it managed to be even better than the first book. My heart is still aching for Emma, Bo, Jesse, Noah... honestly, every single one of these characters owns a piece of my heart.
Since this is the second book in the series, I won't spoil anything, but if you loved Hunting Adeline and enjoy dark romances that balance brutality with emotional depth, then this series absolutely deserves a place on your TBR.
Emma's character development was one of my favorite parts of the book. Watching her transform from the prim, proper woman we first met into the fierce, resilient badass she was always meant to become was incredibly satisfying. After everything she's endured, seeing her fight to reclaim herself was both heartbreaking and inspiring. She isn't magically healed, and that's what made her journey feel so real. Every step forward comes with scars, fear, and setbacks, but her determination never stops shining through.
Of course, the world refuses to let her breathe. It seems like every monster imaginable wants to drag her back into the darkness, and there were moments that genuinely made my stomach turn. The suspense never lets up, and just when I thought the story might slow down, another twist would send me spiraling.
And then there's Noah...
I am completely obsessed with this man. He's possessive, obsessive, morally grey, protective, and absolutely unhinged in all the right ways. He's not your typical romance hero, but that's exactly what makes him so captivating. The way he speaks to Emma during her vulnerable moments absolutely melted my heart, yet seconds later he'd have me blushing with some of the filthiest dialogue imaginable. Somehow he manages to be terrifying, sweet, protective, and incredibly sexy all at once.
The emotional connections between the characters are what truly make this story shine. This isn't dark simply for shock value. Beneath all the violence, obsession, and spice is a story about surviving unimaginable trauma, rebuilding trust, finding family, and learning how to heal when the world keeps trying to break you. The relationships are messy, complicated, and beautifully imperfect, making every emotional moment hit even harder.
Now let's talk about the spice... because wow. This book is incredibly spicy, with plenty of steamy scenes that fans of dark romance will absolutely devour. There were moments where I personally felt the sheer amount of intimacy slightly slowed the overall plot, but I also understood why those moments existed. They weren't simply there for shock value—they helped strengthen the bonds between these characters and reinforced the emotional intimacy they were desperately fighting to build.
And can we please discuss that epilogue?!
How did the author manage to make me question my own emotions? I know I shouldn't feel even the tiniest bit of sympathy because that character is absolutely vile, but reading from his perspective somehow stirred up my empathy anyway. I was sitting there asking myself, "Why do I kind of feel bad?" It's honestly a testament to how well these characters are written.
Then there's Bo...
BO, WHERE ARE YOU?! I NEED ANSWERS. Jesse trying so hard to stay patient absolutely shattered me, and now I'm left desperately needing book three because I have far too many questions and nowhere near enough patience.
This book made me cry, swoon, gasp, rage, blush, and sit on the edge of my seat until the very last page. It completely consumed me emotionally and left me thinking about these characters long after I finished reading.
If you're looking for an emotionally intense dark romance filled with morally grey characters, psychological suspense, heartbreaking healing journeys, explosive chemistry, high stakes, and enough twists to keep you reading well into the night, Dollhouse delivers all of it. It's dark, addictive, beautifully written, and utterly unforgettable.

📝Review: Dollhouse was interesting from beginning to end! It picked up right where Stockholm left off, and it was so good to jump right back into Emma, Bo, Noah, and Jesse’s story. From the very beginning, the suspense had me hooked because you never fully knew what was coming next. The twists and turns kept the story moving, and the plot twists added another layer of emotion and intensity that made it hard to put down.

For starters, I loved seeing Emma and Bo establish and fully accept their places with Noah and Jesse. Watching them all come together as a family was such a beautiful part of the story. Noah and Jesse put in the effort to make sure Emma and Bo knew they were loved, wanted, and truly part of their family now. I love a good found family and why-choose dynamic, so this was everything🥹. The love, protection, and care they had for each other were top tier.

We also get to see Noah slowly open his cold heart to Emma and Bo as he realizes these are his people, especially Emma. Watching him break down those walls and allow himself to love and be loved was such a great part of his character development. Jesse and Emma also get more time together, which was really nice to see, and all of the relationships continue to grow stronger throughout the story.

Emma and Bo’s relationship was already strong, but it deepened even more in this book. Their love, trust, and devotion to each other grew stronger as they faced everything together. They were there for each other through the good and the bad, and their bond had my emotions all over the place.

Speaking of emotions… my heart was hurting for all of them, but especially Emma and Bo. The things they went through and the trauma they had to endure were heartbreaking. We get to see them try to rebuild their lives after everything they experienced, and the healing process was such a beautiful part of the story. Seeing them lean on each other and realize they were still loved, supported, and never alone had me crying.

Overall, Dollhouse was an emotional, suspenseful, and heartfelt continuation that balanced the darker moments with so much love, healing, and family. The twists kept me invested, but it was the relationships and the way they fought for each other that truly made this story special.

I am excited about Book 3 and can’t wait to see more of Jesse and Bo!

When L.Taylor warned this book was dark, she REALLY meant it. This book perfectly captures how it feels to have your world implode around you and to question everything and everyone you thought you knew. I've been there, I've felt it, and L.Taylor put into words the feelings of betrayal that I never could. Our broken FMC isn't hurried towards a happy ever after and we sit with her in the night to an almost uncomfortable level whilst the book acknowledges that healing can be messy and it certainly isn't fast.

I probably need to dedicate at least an hours therapy to this book because the ANXIETY I felt reading this was next level. At one point, I was mentally screaming "DONT GO ITS A TRAP" at Noah. I was so on edge trying to figure out who the rat was. Everyone was a suspect, AND I STILL GOT IT WRONG. Every time I thought I could take a breath and that my main characters were safe for at least a chapter, L.Taylor chose violence and off we went again on the cycle of suspicion and suspense.


Let's briefly acknowledge our bad guys. Bundy was the literal embodiment of evil and cruelty - I have never hated a fictional man I've never met more. Every time I saw his name on the page I felt white hot fury that no one had shot him in the dick yet. Eric was everything I wanted him to be. Cowardly, Weak, Slimy and Vomit inducing with a next level lack of self awareness. You'll love to hate him and a shout out for the epilogue- the gaslighting is top tier.

I have laughed. I have sworn. I have sobbed... And I have fallen in love just a tiny bit. Noah has incredible depth and despite being absolute filth in the best way, he never fails to be whatever Emma needs him to be which includes showing her that she doesn't need to be perfect to be loved. I absolutely adore the quiet strength that is our "golden retriever" character Bo and all I will say on this topic is that we ride at dawn for book 3. Watching Emma say goodbye to her "perfect" life, find her family and morphe into the badass she deserved to be rather than the weak woman the bad guys thought she was is everything.

Part two is even more intense than the first one! Emma and Bo have solidified their places with Noah and Jesse when a potential betrayal rocks Emma to her core and causes the four of them to end up on the run. They do everything they can to not only protect themselves, but also take down the man hunting down Emma and Bo. When things go even more sideways, Jesse and Noah drop everything to keep Emma and Bo safe, while both Emma and Bo find very new, very unlikely, sides to themselves.

We still love the characters! We also get a hint more at Bo and Jesse which, personally, I love because they deserve to be their own main characters, dammit! Which, from the afterward, I think we might get which leaves me incredibly excited. The spice is still spicing, but know that it is a little heavier in the beginning of the book. Honestly, the emotions in this book is what really got me. Emma is so beautifully flushed out, even if they entire time she's trying to figure herself out. You definitely feel for her and all she's trying to accomplish, even when she gets beaten down in the process. And watch Noah be able to open his dead heart, as well as figure out new emotions he was previously unaware of is absolutely beautiful.

Some minor critiques: There are two characters I'm not really sure we ever got completion for. Which, while fine because they're not main characters, feels essential to the plot to have some kind of ending for them. Also, the book really picks up in the second half, but it got slightly dry in some spots before that. And, as previously mentioned, the majority of the spice is in the first half of the book so it feels spice heavy for a bit, and if that's not really your thing, I beg you to push through. I assure you, it's worth it.

First, I want to thank L. Taylor for gifting me an eARC of dollhouse to read and provide my honest, spoiler free review! I arc read Stockholm when that first came out and I was instantly hooked so I was so excited to be able to arc read Dollhouse as well.

My Thoughts:
Going into this second part of the Angel Of Mercy series, I was really excited to see where it would go in terms of plot. After the cliffhanger that happened in the first book, I had a feeling my heart was preparing to be destroyed all over again….i was right.

Dollhouse takes off right after where we left off with the first book of the series. Seeing Emma, Bo, Noah and Jesse again felt like coming home to family that I haven’t seen in so long. Not only did these characters bring so much happiness to the forefront of the story…they also brought devastating emotions further into it. I care for these characters so much and everything that happened in this book just broke my heart into a million pieces. The heavy, trauma filled journey this book will take you on is not for the faint of heart but I will say that the growth in all of these characters was absolute perfection in every single way.

Seeing these characters hit rock bottom yet still fight to protect one another just proves how much each one matters to the other and although it pained me to see what happened, the love and found family that has formed within these past two books is so special. Being surrounded by truly evil people on all sides, the betrayal, the desperation to save the ones you love and the journey that comes after trauma kept me glued to my phone all day as I needed to know how this all ended. There is more to come and I feel like it will hurt me again but I need to continue to see these characters and the lives they build for themselves after everything they’ve been through. L Taylor has made me into a loyal reader of hers for life.

How am I supposed to move on after this?! 😭🤍

I went into Dollhouse expecting an emotional read, but I was not prepared for the way this book completely took over my heart. It made me smile, cry, hope, and sit in stunned silence after finishing the last page.

Emma is such an incredible protagonist. She is resilient, brave, and so beautifully written that I couldn't help but root for her every step of the way. Watching her journey unfold was heartbreaking and inspiring all at once.

And Bo... where do I even begin? 🥹 He completely stole my heart. His unwavering loyalty, patience, and the way he shows up when it matters most had me swooning over and over again. Book boyfriends keep raising the bar, and Bo just launched it into another universe.

I also have to talk about Noah and Jesse because they were EVERYTHING. The love, support, and determination they showed throughout the story made me so emotional. Every time they appeared, I knew I was about to feel something. Their relationships with the people they love were written so beautifully, and I adored every moment they were on the page.

What truly sets this book apart is L. Taylor's writing. It's raw, heartfelt, and incredibly immersive. Every emotion feels genuine, every relationship feels meaningful, and every chapter leaves you wanting just one more. This wasn't just a story—it was an experience.

I laughed. I cried. I gasped. I hugged my Kindle. And when I reached the end, I just sat there wondering what I was supposed to do with all these feelings.

If you thought Stockholm was intense… Dollhouse cranks everything up several notches. The stakes are higher, the emotions cut deeper, and the twists just keep coming. L. Taylor strikes an incredible balance between a gripping plot and perfectly placed spice, making this one of those books that’s impossible to put down.

Emma completely stole the show for me. She has become one of the strongest, most resilient FMCs I’ve ever read. After everything she’s forced to endure, watching her fight, survive, and refuse to let her trauma define her earned every ounce of my respect. The way this book explores trauma and healing—showing that every survivor copes differently—felt incredibly well done and added so much emotional depth to the story.

And then there’s Noah… I was already obsessed with him in book one, but book two sealed the deal. The way Emma’s presence—and even her absence—completely consumes him had me hooked from beginning to end. His unwavering patience, fierce determination, and absolute devotion made him impossible not to fall for, while his filthy mouth had me blushing more than once. If you’re a fan of possessive, protective heroes with serious Zade Meadows energy, Noah absolutely delivers.

I also appreciated how naturally the polyamorous relationship was portrayed. It never felt forced or over-the-top; instead, it was built on trust, love, communication, and genuine emotional connection, making it easy to become invested in every relationship.

This book put these characters through absolute hell—trauma, betrayal, heartbreak, and impossible choices—and I felt every second of it. By the final page I was emotionally wrecked, completely addicted, and desperately searching for answers. I need book three immediately because that ending left me with far too many feelings and nowhere to put them.

This was such a strong follow-up to Stockholm and picked up exactly where the first book left off. I was hooked from the first chapter because I was already so invested in these characters and needed to know what happened next.

One of my favorite parts of this book was watching Emma’s growth. Seeing her slowly work through everything she’d endured and begin reclaiming herself made her journey feel incredibly rewarding. Her development throughout this installment was one of the highlights of the entire story.

I also loved getting to see more of Noah. His character had so much more depth in this book, and I really appreciated seeing different sides of him as the story unfolded. The relationship between him and Emma continued to grow in a way that felt emotional, messy, and genuine, especially considering everything they’d been through.

Just like the first book, this isn’t simply a dark romance. It’s filled with suspense, emotional healing, difficult choices, and characters trying to survive unimaginable situations. The romance and spice are definitely there, but I never felt like they overshadowed the actual story. The plot continued to build, the stakes kept getting higher, and I found myself flying through the pages.

That being said, please, please check the trigger warnings before reading this series. This book explores some extremely dark and graphic themes, and it doesn’t shy away from trauma or difficult subject matter. It won’t be for everyone, but if you’re comfortable with darker stories, it’s an incredibly compelling read.

Overall, I thought Dollhouse was a fantastic continuation of the series. It expanded on everything I loved in Stockholm, gave the characters room to grow, and kept me emotionally invested from beginning to end.

I really enjoyed this series and thought this was a great second installment. If you enjoyed Stockholm, you’ll definitely want to continue Emma and Noah’s journey.

Dollhouse took me a while to get into. The story throws you straight into the middle of the action with very little context, and I spent the first part of the book trying to work out who the Reaper and the Scorned were and what was actually happening. I later realised this is the second book in the series, which explains a lot, but I still think a brief "previously on..." recap would have made the reading experience much smoother.

Once I found my footing, I enjoyed the story a lot more. There was plenty of drama, danger, spice, and emotional moments, although I did find myself frustrated with Emma at times. Considering everything she was facing, and had already faced, I struggled to understand why she didn't take her training or the threats against her more seriously.

The standout for me was Emma and Bo's relationship. In such a dark and often brutal story, the love they had for each other and the lengths they went to to protect one another gave the book its heart.

Noah and Jesse also intrigued me, although I would have loved more from Jesse in particular. With another book on the way, I'm hoping their stories are explored further.

The characters all showed noticeable growth throughout the book, and it actually made me want to go back and read the first book to appreciate how far they've come.

This is a dark read filled with trauma, violence, spice, and heavy themes, so definitely check the trigger warnings before picking it up.

While it wasn't a perfect read for me, it kept me invested enough that I'll be looking out for book three...especially after that cliffhanger.

Noah's worst nightmare comes to life when Emma is kidnapped by Bundy's men. They also take Bo. Can Jesse and Noah save them, or will it end in tragedy?

Noah teaches Emma how to fight, and damn, what a fighter she is. I absolutely loved Emma in this book. Her resilience is incredible, and I admired her strength every step of the way.

"I'm not just a goody two shoes. A wallflower. Not just a pure little toy to be placed in a dollhouse, collected away. I'm real, and I feel."

It took me a little longer to get into this book. I felt like not much happened during the first quarter of the story. There were a few spicy scenes, but not much progress in the whole Eric and Bundy storyline, so the pacing felt a bit slow at first.

About halfway through the story, things really started to pick up, and I couldn't put the book down after that. Started the book at July 16th and it took me until July 22th to get to the first half and than finished the other half in one day.

Dollhouse is the second book in the Angel of Mercy series (with one more still to come!) and it picks up directly where Stockholm ends. We dive head first right into the chaos of the ending and the aftermath of book 1.

All my love to Emma, Bo, Noah, and Jess. But specifically Emma and Bo. Let me go wrap my babies up in a hug if they let me. My heart broke for these characters and it wasn't put back together. I need book 3 soon. I cant have this ending this way.

I felt so many emotion while reading it and I really should have known what I signed myself up for. The laughing to immediate gasp and then crying? (you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there). I didn't intend to finish this last night (in less than 48 hours of starting) but I couldn't put it down.... even with the constant tears streaming down my face. I finished the book and proceeded to stay awake staring at my ceiling in the dark trying to figure out how to sleep.

Big take away: heartbreak imminent and CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS. Book 2 is significantly darker than book 1 so make sure that you know exactly what you're getting yourself into.

This books puts its characters through hell, the question is if they are gonna survive it and how to get out.

Wow, this book had me completely hooked. Dollhouse pulled me into its dark and twisted world from the very beginning, and I honestly couldn't stop reading.

Emma has been through so much, and watching her try to rebuild her life after everything she's endured was both heartbreaking and inspiring. She's strong, resilient, and determined, even when she's struggling with the weight of her past. Noah is definitely not your typical hero. He's obsessive, possessive, and morally grey in every sense of the word, but there was something about his character that kept me wanting to know more.

What I really enjoyed was the emotional depth of the story. It wasn't just dark for the sake of being dark. There was a lot of focus on trauma, healing, trust, and finding strength after unimaginable experiences. The relationships were complicated, messy, and intense, which made the story feel even more gripping.

The suspense, psychological elements, and constant tension kept me turning pages well into the night. Every time I thought I knew where the story was heading, something else would happen that pulled me in even deeper.

If you enjoy dark romance with morally grey characters, high emotional stakes, and a story that keeps you completely invested from start to finish, then this is definitely one to add to your TBR. It was intense, addictive, and impossible to put down.

Book 2 in the Angel Of Mercy series: Noah and Emma/ Jesse and Bo. This is a captor x captive, betrayal, second chance, morally grey vigilante hero, MF and MM, MFMM, forced proximity, revenge plot, enemies to lovers, power imbalance, hidden identity, “touch her and d!e”, vigilant justice secret, organization, found family, opposites attract, hurt/comfort, shared trauma, dark romance.
This picked right up for the cliffhanger in book one, which was also such a fantastic read, so it most definitely needs to be read first before reading this book. This book hit just as hard as book one and I loved it just as much! I especially loved the journey in Emma’s character development, and even seeing Noah’s growth too, and her breaking out of the mental confines she was forced into her whole life.
Book one, Stockholm, was dark but book two went up to another level entirely. These books definitely hit very hard topics, being that it is based on a secret vigilant organization that goes after predators, as well as descriptions of abuse. So I strongly recommend reading the trigger warnings if that is something you are concerned about.
I am so very grateful to have ARC read for this author so many times because I have absolutely loved every book I have read by her and would recommend them all! I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out!

I actually don’t know what to say here. I stared at my wall for a while. This is exactly what I want to feel after finishing a book. I don’t know what to do with myself now. I want more! Every emotion you can name is inside of this book. It’s a rollercoaster and it keeps you hooked from page one.

This was everything I wanted for
Book 2 and so much more. Watching Emma really find herself and gain confidence was emotional. Watching it all get destroyed and her have to rebuild again was a beautiful tragedy. I loved the way their relationships all grow in this book. Especially my poor Bo and Emma 😭 .

This picks up where we left off in the last book. They are trying to recover from the last hit they took but the hits don’t stop coming. It’s a story of survival for sure and it’s written so perfectly. No notes 👏. The last few chapters tho 😭. Amazing job!

Overall, this is a five star read for me and I absolutely cannot wait for the next one! The pacing is perfect. The characters are real and broken and trying their best to survive. The plot is mind blowing. I can’t say enough about how much I loved this one 🖤.

Dollhouse did not disappoint. You are pulled back into the dark, twisted world of the Angel of Mercy series, and I was not prepared for what was to come or how it would get under my skin.

L. Taylor knows how to create that delicious feeling of unease where you know something is off, but you are too invested to stop reading. There's an intensity to the characters and their dynamics that kept me questioning motives, emotions, and just how far things were going to go.

The psychological tension from Stockholm carried over into Dollhouse and flowered into something even more tense. Dollhouse isn't dark just for the sake of being dark. The writing makes you feel the atmospheric control, obsession, vulnerability, and uncertainty in the best possible way. The more I read, the more I needed to know what would happen next. Usually a second book in the series is stale, but this was anything but that.

And that ending? Excuse me while I stare at the wall for a minute and desperately wait for book three.

If you love psychological dark romance, obsessive characters, morally gray dynamics, disturbing undertones, and books that make you question whether you should be enjoying yourself this much, add Dollhouse to your TBR. But of course read book one first, to understand what's going on.

This is book 2 in the Angel of Mercy series. Knowing I devoured book 1, I had a feeling this was going to keep me hooked from the very beginning. After being left on that cliffhanger in book 1, I was so happy to be chosen for the ARC for book 2. L. Taylor wrote this story beautifully and I found myself not wanting to put this down. I can’t wait for book 3! I need more of Emma, Noah, Jesse and Bo.
After being taken and used for collateral, Emma never expected to fall for her captors. Slowly they became her safe space to be who she wanted without needing to put on a front. When people are threatening to take her away from her new found family, Noah promises her, he will always save her. When Emma and Bo find themselves in a sort of déjà vu moment, they realize this won’t end the way the want. Finding the strength to push and fight back against the new threats, they are only left with two choices; keep fighting through the pain or go down trying. Both keep the hope that Noah and Jesse won’t give up until they are both found and safe back in their arms, Emma and Bo stick together and use each other’s strength to keep pushing forward. Will Noah and Jesse be able to save Bo and Emma before it’s too late? Will the damage that’s been done to Emma and Bo be irreparable? Read Dollhouse to find out!

I literally ate this book up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

From the dedication alone, I knew this book was going to own me, and it absolutely did. This story grabbed me from page one and refused to let go. The emotional depth, suspense, healing journey, and relationships between Emma, Noah, Jesse, and Bo had me completely invested.

One of my favorite parts was the found family aspect. Watching these broken characters become each other’s safe place was everything. The love, loyalty, banter, and unwavering support they showed one another made my heart so happy. As a cat lover who also finds emotional support in my own cats, I especially loved Molly and the comfort she brought to the story.

This book put me through every emotion imaginable. I spent so much of this book anxiously waiting for the other shoe to drop because the suspense was that good.

Be sure to check trigger warnings because this book tackles some very dark subjects. If you love dark romance with polyamorous relationships, found family, protective MMCs, emotional healing, training tropes, and characters who would burn the world down for each other, you need to pick this up.

This gave me Haunting Adeline vibes with a polyamorous twist, and I am obsessed!

Okey this book is an emotional roller-coaster and I loved every single bit of it! The characters in this book is something else. I adore them and I love them with everything I have and I feel for them so much and I can't keep my tears at bay while reading about their story. It is so beautiful yet heartbreaking! Noah, Emma, Jesse and Bo will forever live rent free in my head.

The writing is absolutely flawless and phenomenal.  It is descriptive and beautifully crafted. The depth is fantastic! I wish I could read it for the very first time again.

This is book 2 and it begins where book 1 left off. This is not a standalone and needs to be read in order.

The story itself is addictive to say the least! Every page is fantastic and every chapter brings out all the feelings in one way or another. The spice is delicious! 🤤 and I love the chemistry and relationship between all four MCs. And THAT epilogue.. absolutely mind blowing and a bit concerning (?) . I can't wait to read the next book and continue their story. I am longing to read about Bo and Jesse ❤️

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review… other than you didn’t have to hurt my feelings like this.

There is SO much I could say about this book. The one thing that I liked the most is that it doesn’t feel rushed. I will admit that I am impatient and want all the books right now to know how things end, but there are so many conversations, events, and thoughts that are happening in this series. Some of them just can’t be rushed because you lose the plot.

I was hoping that Emma would evolve from the first book and I was not disappointed. She is a QUEEN and all those men treat her like one. What happens to Emma and Bo.. there are honestly no words for. The pain, the heartache, and the damage are indescribable and my heart breaks for them. Readers saw how things progressed for Emma, and I can only hope that Bo has that same kind of growth and healing within himself to find that light again because everyone needs more Bo. Emma, Noah, Jesse, and the readers all need more Bo.

I cannot wait to see what comes next for this series and the potential it has.
This book is darker, so please check the trigger warnings, check in with yourself throughout the book, and remember your mental health matters too!

Doll House starts off right where Stockholm leaves off and I was so
not prepared for the amount of emotional damage that would be
delivered. The way L.Taylor writes just pulls you in, and keeps you engaged
and interested in what’s going to happen next, and invested in the characters.
I definitely teared up a few times during this book, which really doesn’t
happen often while I read .

I absolutely loved the found family feel that really shined through
in this book . Emma, Noah , Bo and Jesse would do absolutely
anything for each other , even if it ends up bringing themselves pain. It was
interesting to found out a little bit more about Mercy , and everything they do.

The spicy scenes between them ? Perfect. The chemistry between the
four of them works perfectly. I don’t think I’ll ever look at garland the same way
again .

I’m already craving more of this world, and I can’t wait to see what’s next .

Definitely check the trigger warnings before heading into this book . As
it is a little bit darker then Stockholm, and deals with sensitive topics.

How and will these 4 find themselves reunited once again? With all of the damage endured will they be able to go back to how it was?🧐🥺🫢

This sequel was amazing for the plot!👏👏 This overall story is truly amazing and hope we get to hear more about Jesse and Bo’s story and get to see more insight on Emma and Noah’s new future! 🙏🖤✨This one truly had me feeing for these characters and in pieces, and feeling all of the anxiety from our MMC’s.😫🫢🤯

⚠️ Check every single trigger warning before diving into Dollhouse. Seriously. This is not a book you go into blind. If you thought Stockholm was going to wreck you... just wait. Dollhouse grabs the reins and doesn't let go.

Being held captive is not for the weak, and Bo and Emma prove that time and time again. Their resilience, determination, and refusal to let their circumstances define them made every heartbreaking moment hit that much harder. Jesse and Noah are more than determined to track them down and make their captors pay.

This book is absolutely devastating. There were scenes that left me speechless, moments that made my stomach twist, and yet I couldn't stop turning the pages. L. Taylor has a way of pulling you so deeply into the story that you feel every ounce of fear, desperation, hope, and heartbreak right alongside the characters.

Dark romance readers—this is the kind of book that stays with you long after you finish it. It's brutal, emotional, and completely consuming. I don't think my heart will recover anytime soon... and honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Dollhouse: Angel of Mercy is the second book in this dark captive romance series, and oh my gosh… I love this series so much. I already can’t wait for book three. This MMFM romance (Jesse, Bo, Emma, and Noah) is packed with action, betrayal, trust, love, and plenty of spice.

One of my favorite parts of this series is the group dynamic. I love how fiercely they love each other, protect each other, and never stop fighting for one another. Jesse starts off as the possessive MMC who falls in love with his captive, but as the story unfolds, Emma becomes so much more than that. She goes from someone he’s keeping captive to someone he’ll do absolutely anything to protect from the people involved in the trafficking world.

Emma also goes through so much trauma alongside Bo, and while they’re finally starting to get revenge for everything that’s happened to them, it’s clear their healing journey is only beginning. This book had me feeling every emotion, and I’m so invested in these characters that I already need the next installment.

Second book in the Angel of Mercy Duet? Not sure if it is or isn't since that epilogue has me thinking something totally different bahaha.

Definitely loved the character development in this book of Emma. The lady who goes from prim and proper to being the baddie I knew she was all along.

But man oh man, do these evil people just love trying to get their hands on her and doing awful things to her to try to bring her down.

Super Super spicy. Definitely a lot of smexy scenes in this baby.

I very much enjoyed both books but this one was for sure my favorite out of the two. My only somewhat dislike was that there was an extreme amount of sexy time which I myself felt at times took away from the plot and development of the story and Mercy. But I also understand why the amount of smexy scenes were needed for the 4 characters to bond. (I'm just rambling now lol).

I recommend if you're looking for a book with lots of spice and something that's on the darker side of dark romance.

I really enjoyed book one of this series but I loved this second one! The emotions this book had me feeling was a roller coaster! I would be feeling the spice one second and pain for the characters the second.

The character growth that Emma had was just perfect! She went from sweet and innocent to a baddie! And honestly same with Bo. Both characters also made my heart ache for them. Their friendship grew so much and was vital.

Now on to Noah and Jesse. These two are possessive and morally grey! (Everything we dark romance girlies love!) Yet they are sweet and have a deep love for both Emma and Bo.

The reason I did not give it five stars was because I wanted more plot than spice but at times I felt there was more spice than plot. However I loved the plot and the spice and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Now all I have to say is L. Taylor better be starting the next book in the series because I need more!
