This book opens right where we left off with Serus, Tessa and Cody going to meet up with David to find Jewel.

Unfortunately instead of meeting up immediately with Motre and Ian, David goes down a stairwell finding far more than he bargained for.

Serus mades the decision to find David before meeting up with the others, that when he disappears and Cody and Tessa are right behind him.
As Tessa and Cody figure out their next step, the are approached by an ancient. He tells them there is another exit, but they need to follow him, quietly to avoid letting others know where they are. This is going to open up a whole new angle to all of this.

Jared is pleasantly surprised when Clarissa and Aaron show up at the home to see Tobias. They only have two hours to visit and Jared joins them after exchanging phone numbers with Clarissa. Jared still has some problems with the people in control of the home and doesn't want to go into foster care.

Back at Council Hall Wendy is restless even though she's still weak from her accident. Sian enlists her help with cross-referencing the data from Gloria's laptop. Rhia is also there and is still recuperating from the drugs she was given and the injury inflicted by Tessa in self defense.

Goran almost kills the doctor who injected him with something to shock his system back to the living instead of the limbo-like coma he was in. To say he wasn't happy is an understatement. He also wasn't going to stay down for long and poor Sian has to deal with that. He meets up with Ian and Motre to clear the floors of the Vampire Hospital.

We meet two very significant players in this book. Dianna a powerful vampire and council member. Although she doesn't attend the council anymore, she is still considered an active member. Her protector is a Ghost, that's the name given to vampires who can seemingly disappear and reappear at will, they are said to be able to kill without even touching. These two are very old and near their end of life, they need Tessa to fulfill a need for them. Crazy stuff here.

A lot happens in this book, more from Deanna and her ghost, Rhia has memory issues, Tobias disappears from the home where Jared is staying, and that's just a few things.

I have to say, I really wish these folks would all stay together. Every time someone goes astray something happens and it's not in any way good.

Lots of action, more questions than answers, as Tessa learns more about her Vampire powers and her relationship with Cody continues to grow.

I'm reading this in the book bundle Family Blood Ties Books 7-9 so I'm just going to keep on reading.

Wow this book it seems like no matter how hard they try they always have to face some unknown obstacle. The secrets that the characters find is astounding. So many family secrets. So many of the trails. But also so much love and compassion. Also Tessa always outshines the rest. As always there is a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Each book in this series is like popcorn - you can't stop eating it. Good writer, nice dilemma in the story which keeps you reading. If you don't like cliffhangers don't start on them.

This is the best in the series so far! Oh Dale WHY did you do this to me? When does the next one come out??

Despite everything going on in all the different locations of the story it is extremely easy to follow. At no time was I confused about who was where doing what and with so many characters to follow that is quite a feat. The story is never boring...so many twists and turns you don't know who you can trust. It's exciting, suspenseful, and horrific-especially when thinking about the weightier issues of genetic engineering and cleansing of the species that it touches on. Even though it's about vampires, it a very humanizing story that helps us to realize we should be champions for those who cannot fight for themselves.

I'm truly loving what a badass Tessa is turning into...and enjoying seeing her sweet, soft side remain untouched. With Cody and her father's support she continues to blossom in so many new ways with each new challenge thrown at her. Cody is awesome support and a strong character in his own right. He helps Tessa and even encourages her to push her limits. And Jared, that poor kid has been through SO much that you are beginning to wonder just how he's going to survive when all of this is sorted out. But he's gone from the guy who was abducted in the first book to a strong, moral compass in the human community.

This one needs ten stars, if not more.

Vampire in Chaos by Dale Mayer
Family Blood Ties Series Book Seven
The saga of our heroes and heroines continue as they fight a war they never asked for, and yet, they are the only ones who can fight it. This story starts where the cliffhanger in the previous book, Vampire in Conflict, left off.

Somehow everyone keeps getting separated. Tessa and Cody are searching for Serus and David somewhere in the deepest depths under the vampire hospital. Not only do they meet two unusual beings...it seems the one has plans for Tessa, big plans. Whether Tessa agrees or not.

Cody just wants life to slow down so he can spend time alone with Tessa. She keeps amazing him more and more with each minute he's with her.

Their friends who have been drugged are slowly being found, like Ian and Jewel. Rhia has lost parts of her memories from the drugs and has no idea where she may have sent their son Seth.

Jared's trust list has grown very short. He's back at the home but not for long. With his family dead, his future is taking a turn he refuses to follow. And why won't anyone answer his texts?

As always, the author is the queen of cliffhangers. Vampire in Crisis will be the next book to continue the journey to find out who is heading the blood farms and how to shut them down. And Tessa's future...her head is exploding with possibilities.

Vampire In Chaos
By: Author Dale Mayer

I was stunned once again when this story ended on a epic WTH cliffhanger! Not only was I not expecting it (as if I ever am) but I didn't even realize I was at the end of the book.
But that's exactly how Author Dale Mayer draws you in... With each new book that Dale Mayer writes they only get better. Vampire In Chaos was no exception! Tessa and Cody their family and friends once again draw you into a thrilling ride of a lifetime!! You never know what's going to happen from one page to another!! It is a amazing book full of life, love, drama, thrill and a hold on to the edge of your seat kind of story. I am literally counting down the days until the next one comes out, this is a series you truly don't want to miss out on... I can't wait!!!!

Highly recommend this book five star read to 18+up due to adult situations.

I was given this book by the author for a honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own.

P.S. I also bought this book before I was sent one for review, because I love this series:)

Ms. Mayer has done it again with the epic cliffhanger from HELL!!! You are just reading along on the edge of your seat and Bamm, the story stops. This is probably the best book so far and the most informative. Tessa's powers are growing faster then she can keep up, the bad guys are getting bigger and the sinister plot just keeps growing. If they survive they are all going to need a long vacation. I just love the fact that the fathers of both Tessa and Cody are having so much fun with their relationship. The ancients or old guys as they are lovingly refereed too act so much like teenage boys when it comes to fights that you just can't help smile at their antics. The world is changing and the younger generation is starting to make a a dent in the growth. We are back to not knowing who is bad and who is good and the twists that are thrown in this time are sure to catch your attention. This is an awesome series with a damn good storyline. Ms. Mayer is an amazing author with a wild imagination and stories that will blow you away.

I have read this series back to back from 1 to 6 and it is one of the best I ever read. Starts out with Tesse daughter of 2 vamps. but she is more human than vamp, goes to human school while her brothers go to vamp school. She just does not feel she fits in either group, human o r vamp. That changes pretty fast when her friend Jarad is kidnapped by vamp, after that they discover the blood farm, she finds powers she never knew she had, she shocks everyone, even herself. Each book ends in a cliff hanger so you want to hurry and start with book 1 because in a week or so the 7th will be released. These books are ok for pre-teen and up due to not too vivid violence, no sex and totally addicting. I highly recommend this series.

This is my favorite story so far in the series and I can't wait to read the eighth book! This book was super intense and it was great seeing Tessa grow so much and her and Cody's relationship grow as well. The title says it all, this story is full of Chaos. The most powerful woman, Deanna shows up but can she be trusted? What about Rhia, will she ever recover after she tried to drug her own daughter and ship her off like she did with Seth? Jared is on the run again and he's having a hard time figuring out which humans, besides Taz, that he can trust. The group learns more info about where the other blood farms are. Jared learns more info about his family. Will this whole thing ever end?

Tessa meets Deanna and Hortran. What does she want from Tessa? She will learn soon. Another blood farm is found in the hospital, how will they save the people there? We watch in wonder as Tessa's relationship with Cody and her new found powers grow and Deanna leaves her with a gift. But can she handle the gift and what is does to her? With new found allies Goran and Serus try to cleanse the hospital, floor by floor. What will happen next? I can't wait to find out. I love this series.

Another great read by Dale Mayer. This was probably my favorite of the series so far. We finally learn more on who is behind the blood farm (but still not exactly who).

There was action, suspense, personal growth, etc. I loved how the story flowed and kept us entertained. I can not wait until book number 8. I normally have a hard time sticking with a series this long but this book made it worth sticking with it. Let's hope the rest are just as entertaining.

This being part of a series must be read in order and can not be read as a stand alone.

Would I recommend this book? Yes

Would I read more from this author? Yes

Very Good!

This is an ongoing series that gets better with each book. Always a cliffhanger. Again I want them to last longer; or at least be published sooner than they are. I cannot get enough of this story. You won't be disappointed. BEL

Poor Tessa. She is yet put into another situation where her friends and family are being hunted and hurt. Someone is genetically altering vampires to make them stronger and faster. It's either take the offered drugs or die. No good choice for Tessa and get group except to fight
