Power built the kingdom. Blood sealed it. And now… someone has decided to play with it.
The King family rules New York’s underworld with calculated brutality, four brothers bound by legacy, violence, and secrets buried so deep even memory has abandoned them. They were untouchable. Unquestioned. Unchallenged.
Until an untraceable package appears at their doorstep. Until a notorious underground empire goes up in flames. Until control becomes an illusion.
Inside the package lies a single chess piece.
A King.
In a world where games are played in blood, People are moved like pieces. Secrets are unearthed. Trauma is weaponized. Betrayal is rewritten.
And somewhere in the shadows, One girl watches, silent, patient.... ready to burn the board to the ground.
Hello Readers, its nice to finally make it here, this is my first book, I hope you all enjoy it. Apart from writing thriller, suspense, murder, dark romance books, I enjoy reading a lot, so let's be friends, recommend books to me and my books to others
wow this book actually changed my brain chemistry. i will probably come back and edit this review because i know i will have feelings for the weeks to come.
Firstly, check your TWs because this book has lots of dark elements.
Secondly, after you read this, please try and name a more iconic FMC - because it will be impossible. Her story just shattered me but the ruthless woman she turns into was just *chefs kiss*
I cant begin to imagine how the author plotted this because every chapter had a new plot twist. Every. Single. One.
Im going to be in a slump now and wait for the next adventure.
I received this book as an ARC, and I’m leaving this review voluntarily. The Queen Piece isn’t just dark, it’s suffocating in the best way. Every page feels like a calculated move, every chapter tightens the noose a little more. The psychological tension is relentless, the symbolism cuts deep, and the FMC as the game changer
I received this book as an ARC and honestly, I love how the book puts you on an edge while reading, and the phycho characters keep you guessing. I loved it
