This is a good go-to series when I’m not sure what to read. Mafia-lite.

Gigi 🔫 Rushton

Gigi suffered abuse at the hands of her mafia ex husband, Vigo, and escaped w her young daughter to New York. With the help of a friend, she interviews and immediately begins working w Rush, who runs the NY office of his family’s real estate business. She’s a bombshell, he’s immediately taken w her and her daughter, all while knowing she’s hiding her true identity; but not knowing that her ex is Vigo and the man currently wreaking havoc on his business plans.

This is the story of her feeling safe w Rush and his obsession w her, all while she is scared to tell them about her abusive ex and his identity.

😑Third act drama when Rush and his brothers put the pieces together and figure out who she is. It’s short lived; Rush immediately goes to her, once Killian literally knocks sense into him, and shares his feelings. Killian is her biggest supporter, actually.
🗣️Communication - they’re honest except for the whole big secret about who her ex-husband is.
⚡️Insta everything
😔Wounded woman/daughter seeking safety
💪🏼Protective and possessive MMC; doesn’t even want her going to the bathroom by herself
😒Lots of objectifying her/her figure by basically every male in her presence.
🫣No OM/OW drama. He claims her fairly quickly. I wanted her to also tell him that he couldn’t see anyone else either. Not that he would, but still… it’s mafia, soooo
🌶️Spice - all open door, but fairly standard and/or cringy. Like, they have sex in the office so all the men will smell him on her and know to leave her alone…. This works in some books, but here just gave me the ick
👧Single mom w 4 yr old daughter, Emma. Cute, very much part of the story. She was also physically abused by Vigo. We see Killian’s (yes, Killian) protective and gentle side which was adorable and honestly the best part of the book.
👥Dual POV; HEA. 1 yr later marriage; all the brothers have a compound in the mountains w separate houses

Standard mafia lite. Good 3 star story. A little danger, some intrigue, smut, and a cute kid.

Did I start with the 6th book in this series? Yes. Do I even care at this point? No, it was on my kindle and I said "why the hell not?" I did end up liking Rush and Gigi for most of this book. It was very instant love vibes and Vigo was an interesting ex-husband/villain. Didn't like him one bit but that's the point.

I just feel like things were resolved so quickly and then it was happily ever after. Which, yes, makes sense for such a short book and I'm probably being picky at the moment. I'll have to check out the other books in this series... at some point in my life.

⭐️⭐️

I wanted to love this one, but unfortunately King of Chaos felt incredibly rushed and emotionally surface level from start to finish. Nothing had time to breathe. The relationship development was almost nonexistent, which made it hard to connect to either character in a meaningful way.

The biggest issue for me was the MMC’s complete 180 regarding Gigi and her daughter. We’re told he doesn’t like kids, yet somehow he’s suddenly attached and basically in love with both of them within what feels like a single day. It didn’t feel earned at all. There was no believable emotional progression, no gradual softening, no real bonding moments that made me buy into the transformation.

Instead of feeling emotional and heartfelt, it came across immature and unrealistic. The chemistry relied more on instant intensity than actual relationship building, and I never fully believed in them as a couple because of it.

There were moments that had potential, but everything moved so fast that none of the emotional beats landed the way they should have. Overall, this one just lacked the depth and realism I was hoping for

"𝗡𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹."

I did not expect to love Rush more than Ryker, but he really said “hold my drink” and proved me wrong.

I literally finished this book in one sitting, like I could NOT put it down. It felt so short because I was that into it. Ever since the last book hinted that the next one would be about Rush, I had been waiting sooo long for it, and I was insanely excited and somehow it still exceeded my expectations.

“𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗲. 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂.”

Gigi’s story broke my heart a little. She’s out here running from her abusive mafia ex with her daughter Emma, just trying to survive, and then she applies for this assistant job only for her boss to turn out to be Rush.

I loved Gigi so much. My girl has been THROUGH it, and she deserved every bit of happiness she got. And Rush okay, Daddy Rush he’s just like his brother Win in the best way an absolute green flag. Actually no, green flag isn’t enough this man is a whole green planet.

And can we talk about Emma?? Because I usually don’t even like kids in books, but she completely stole my heart. She was SO cute, and the way she had Killian and Ryker wrapped around her little finger?? Adorable.

"𝗜’𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗲.”

Also the spice?? HELLO?? I was not expecting that from Rush. He really had both me and Gigi blushing the whole time.

I'm so sad to say goodbye to this series because I’ve gotten so attached, but at the same time I’m really excited for what’s next. The new series sounds like it’s going to be a bit darker, and I’m already seated for it

The sixth installment of the Kings of Las Vegas series. The story follows Gina Hope, a divorced mother hiding from her abusive ex-husband and New York Mafia head, Vigo Sinclair. Seeking protection, Gina takes a position working for Rush Smith, a cold real estate CEO. When a babysitting mishap involves Rush in Gina’s private life, her secrets are threatened just as Vigo closes in, pushing the rivalry between these two powerful men to a dangerous breaking point. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I’m not sure how to rate this fully tbh. Like I’m in the mood for some mafia romance and this one could’ve hit like crack but it was SO fast paced. Like no yearning / wanting really and just a lot at once.

If you want something fast and mafia I think it’s okay.

I really liked the idea of Gigi and Rush together. There’s something incredibly comforting about watching an abused single mother finally find her person and create a safe, loving little bubble for herself and her child. Those storylines always get me right in the feelings.

That said, this book felt more like a blip than a fully developed story—like I watched a random episode in the middle of a TV series. It definitely could have been fleshed out more because everything moved so quickly that the emotional moments never had enough time to fully sink in.

It was also fairly predictable, but honestly, I didn’t mind that. I just wanted Gigi and Emma to finally get their happy ending.

I really enjoyed the rest of the books in this series this one fell quite flat.
Losing a star because honestly it was quite boring and a second star, because, we, don't, put, 4, commas, in, one, sentence. Who edited this book?

PSA: I am not great at articulating my thoughts. This is just my opinion. Love what you love!

I was not expecting this book to be my favourite of any Andersen book I have read! I always have hopes that the right tropes and interesting characters will come together but was a little disappointed in how the "Lords of Las Vegas" series ended. This was a welcome surprise and really came to like the Smiths a lot more than the Kincaids. Rushton was a great character and hit all the right notes. I think having this little girl foil with these big bads really made for a charming read. Makes my ovaries melt to see these guys being protective and paternal. It was all *chefs kiss.*

~*~*~*~Character Reviews~*~*~*~

The FMC:
Gigi Hope - 5 Stars
I loved what Andersen did with Gigi as a character. The whole alias angle was new and having her be a mother was new. Of course, we had some like Kim (King of Temptation) where she was pregnant for the novel; but this was different in that Emma was her own person. I enjoyed seeing her navigate this double life once she realizes Rush has connections to this underbelly of New York. She was rational, she acted like a normal person would act. Gigi was super sweet, protective, kind and strong willed. I just think she made a really endearing FMC.

The MMC:
Rushton Smith - 5 Stars
I have to say that Rushton's whole 'Big Bad Boss' demeanor was great. I liked to see that it was kept up for awhile too before he became totally mush in Gigi/Emma's hands. He was competent at his job, he was protective, he was friends with his brothers, he listened, he was possessive and just an all around chefs kiss. I think he is my favourite mafia male of Andersen (super close to Leo Kincaid). Definitely saved the best for last with this one!

The Antagonist(s):
Set up as the bad guy from the get to, Vigo Sinclair is a capo in the New York mafia, as well as Gigi's abusive ex-husband. We get to see what he is doing to block the Smith's with red tape and threats. We learn that . This makes Vgio one of the grossest baddies we have seen. I liked the set up with his 'nephews' and how they are all getting their own series and how .

The Supporting Cast:
I mentioned before that I loved the development of Killian in this book. Of course, he had his own story but we really get to see this softer side of 'The Shadow' when Emma has his wrapped around her finger. Seeing how he was in this story really did make me like him more and I upped his star ranking. I really wish we had seen more of this side of him in his story (King of Depravity). What is more, Emma was just such a sweet and darling character. Andersen touched on the little kid trope with Anna (King of Malice) but I connected more to Emma due to her past history.

~*~*~*~The Little Details~*~*~*~

The Plot:
Looking to escape her violent ex-husband, Gigi gets a new identity and a new job in New York City. Applying to work at Smith Real Estate, she is seen by Rushton Smith. He gives her a chance to be his personal secretary and she jumps at the chance. When sparks fly, he is stunned to learn she has a daughter - little Emma - and that Gigi is running from an abusive relationship. What Rushton doesn't know, is her ex-husband is his rival, Vigo Sinclair. The one man holding up his property claims and ties to the mafia in the city, Rushton has to navigate his feelings for Gigi and his duty to his brothers.

There was a lot going for me with this one. A lot of fun tropes including boss/secretary, hidden identities and some grumpy/sunshine stuff between Emma/Killian/Rush. The ways these big bad boss men just melt under the watch of a four year old little girl was just so sweet. And yes, there was insta-love in this book, something I hate that Andersen does but I gave it a pass in this one. The line:
“If I say yes, could we have a long engagement? Really get to know each other?” He gives me a wide smile. “So you’d wear my ring, but we’d wait to get married? I could live with that.”

This singlehandedly made me give this book 5 stars instead of 4.5. Finally, someone acts kind of rationally and normal to these kind of whirlwind things. Gigi had a daughter to put first and recognized through all the feelings and lust and drama that she didn't know Rush that well. It's something so little that can soothe my insta-love annoyance.

The Spice:
There was some good spice in this. I feel like it played out in a more normal way. The whole boss/secretary dynamic was hot and that there was a scene where Rush just plows her in a conference room? Okay then! I give this 4/5 peppers.

Emotional Damage:
I got a little misty eyed reading this but didn't full on cry. There are some triggering things centering around abuse - especially the situation with Emma. Vigo is a garbage guy and did some pretty awful things. I also thought it was just super sweet to see more of Killian's soft side and

Reading Experience:
I ate this up. I was just reading and by the time I looked down I was over 100 pages in and still eager to get more and figure out just how things would play out. There were so many twists in this book too I was hooked in. I couldn't wait to see how Rush and his brothers would react to her real identity but what I wasn't expecting was . Having Emma as a foil to the Smith's was really sweet. Hell, I even bumped up Killian's star rating from 3.5 to 4 after seeing him go full dad mode in this. It was adorable.

Book Length & Pacing:
As all the mafia books by Andersen, they are under or around 250 pages. I found myself flying through this one. The pacing was perfect with little things coming out almost every chapter that keeps you engaged and interested in reading more.

~*~*~*~Questions to Consider~*~*~*~

Would I Buy the Book?
Yes. I think this is the first book I really feel like I would would to own. As my favourite in the whole series I could see myself getting it as a standalone.

Would I Re-Read the Book?
Maybe. If I did re-read it, it would be during a whole series re-read and not just on its own.

Will I Continue the Series?
N/A. This is the last book in the "Kings of Las Vegas" series but am excited for the next accounted mafia drama in NYC.

Meh. 3.25 ⭐️ I guess. (mild spoilers below)

Here’s the thing. Both characters were likable. I love a heroine on the run, a bit of a damsel, I love when she has a kid, I love when the evil ex shows up. Gigi was sweet, likable, just fine. She didn’t have enough depth to really feel strongly about her. I did feel she made odd choices at times. When Vigo shows up for a meeting and she gets violently ill… that made perfect sense to me. But then she’s carried up to her apt and falls asleep? I was expecting her to AT LEAST go get her kid from daycare, maybe even start frantically packing to run again. Maybe one of the brothers sees it on the camera feed and Rush confronts her about running and pieces start clicking into place???? But to have that visceral of a reaction at your ex finding you, and you just… take a nap? That felt odd and not realistic. Then when Rush overreacts to the news of her secrets and lashes out…. She goes to her apt and paces? She doesn’t go get her daughter from daycare, she doesn’t start packing to run again. It just made no sense. This chick has been running for a year, gets violently sick and shuts down at the possibility of her ex finding her, and yet her survival instincts are so dull she doesn’t think to try and run? I don’t know. Everyone processes differently but it just didn’t ring true for me.

The insta-love was intense and not done well. Honestly this book could have used 100 more pages. We literally skipped the entire middle of their relationship, because they skipped it lol. She’s terrified, trying to fly under the radar, he’s a demanding asshole boss, and then all of a sudden he’s seducing her and like… just doesn’t leave? And she’s ok with that? It’s been like 4 days! She’s traumatized and terrified of powerful men (rightfully so) and she just shrugs and thinks “I have a thing for dominant men so 🤷🏼‍♀️”. It made no sense with the character or her story. Also for Rush, he’s been closed off for months focusing on work. And I get Gigi is gorgeous but like…. He’s so obsessed so quickly he doesn’t want her to pee without him? He’s immediately stepping in as dad for her kid? Nothing felt aligned with who we’re led to believe the characters actually are. I don’t mind fast burn, but give us something. Some time spent together. A few weeks of her acclimating and warming up slowly. Like literally one chapter with a time jump just to explain that they’ve known each other longer than 4 days and feelings have developed.

I liked Killian and Gris, but their immediate obsession with Emma seemed odd. Like it’s cute.. big scary tattooed killers playing dolls with a 4 year old. Yes, my ovaries were drooling too. But like… why? They don’t know her. She’s Rush’s assistant. Emma is sweet and friendly but it was almost odd how much time they spent with Gigi and Emma. Weren’t their own wives like um excuse me where are you? And that also felt odd. If I was Gigi, and these 3 huge scary stoic killer type mafia men were hanging out in my apt and playing with my kid and subtly fishing for my personal info, I’d be on guard. Like… what is going on?? And you’d think given her past she’d be extra suspicious. I’m sitting her going what the hell are these 3 guys doing hanging out in her apt all the time? I’d be freaked out!! But she just rolls with it like it’s totally normal and she’s known them for years. Again, didn’t feel authentic and the author didn’t put the work in to develop these connections so it’s all surface level.

Vigo was a stupid villain. He wasn’t scary at all, the two scenes we see him in he’s a tantrum-throwing joke. We know the backstory, but we don’t get any flashbacks and we never see him being scary so it didn’t have any emotional impact. The end was ridiculous and so not satisfying. I was looking forward to Rush taking him apart piece by piece (I might have been reading too many mafia books lately 🤫) but no. It was so anticlimactic I snorted.

Rush felt like a dingus to me a lot of the time. He didn’t know which way was up, and honestly after all the clues thrown in his face I’m shocked he didn’t put it together. I’m glad at least Killian did. Also Rush’s brand of controlling didn’t sit right with me. The cameras in Gigi’s apt actually bothered me. The fact she had no idea and he did and he kept thinking about no one seeing her naked or whatever. Like she’s in her own home and multiple people have access to these camera feeds. Her kid lives there. Talk about invasion. I get he needed to know if he could trust her, but that felt like crossing a line. Gave me the ick to be honest.

In short, there wasn’t enough depth to truly connect to any of this. It had major potential, but everything was so surface level and insta-everything that the emotional depth wasn’t there. So you don’t care too much about it because there’s no time for it to develop. Just meh. Won’t continue the series.

King of Chaos: Dark, Steamy,
Billionaire Romance
(Kings of Las Vegas #6)
by Tammy Andresen

Rushton Smith, the youngest, is bound and determined to show his brothers he can handle the New York Branch of Smith’s Brothers Real Estate. He’s well aware that the Mafia Capo Vigo Sinclair is not happy that Rush was able to get the real estate in Jersey that Vigo was after. Rush, being a Smith knew that eventually he would get rid of Vigo and all the problems he was causing.

What Rush didn’t know was that his new assistant, Gigi Hope was not who he thought she was. At this point of time though Gigi was more worried about her ex-husband finding her and her three year old daughter Emma. Her ex was violent, he was crazy and she feared for both her and Emma. There was only one place where she felt safe and that was any time she was near Rush.

The more time Rush and Gigi spend together the more they are drawn to each other, there is a spark just waiting to ignite and when that happened the feelings grew and grew.
It’s not until brothers Killian and Gris show up to discuss how they can take down the Mafia Capo that she realized maybe she needed to run, or maybe she should tell Rush her truth.

With Gigi holding back who she really is and the Smith men getting ready for a show down with the Mafia Capo some truths are exposed and Gigi is scared for her and Emma — more things are bound to come out.

I enjoyed seeing Killian and Gris spending so much time with Emma, (Gigi’s daughter). Big scary men playing with dolls and a sweet three year old had me smiling at these grownup, big brawling men.

I can guarantee there is a lot of action that takes place, new characters that we meet, old friends (the Smith brothers) and so much more that you will enjoy.

Rush has a plan and he has backing from not just his brothers from other people! There are a few people who we may see more of in the authors new series Devils of New York. This story flew by, it was well written there was character grow for several characters and a solid story line to more from our Las Vegas friends to our new to come New York friends!

Another captivating installment in Tammy Andresen’s King of Las Vegas series, and I’m genuinely sad to see the series conclude. Once again, Andresen masterfully pulls readers into a world where dangerous, dark men feel irresistible, and with every story, I fall in love with them just a little bit more.

Gigi’s journey takes center stage in this thrilling finale. After fleeing her abusive ex-husband, Vigo Sinclair—who also happens to be the biggest rival of her new boss—she’s determined to protect her sweet daughter, Emma, at all costs. When Gigi interviews for a position at Rush Smiths real estate empire, fate intervenes. Rush, the youngest Smith brother and an ambitious CEO desperate to prove himself, hires her as his assistant on the spot. He’s demanding, loud, and often infuriating, yet he’s instantly drawn to Gigi like never before—and the attraction is mutual. But Gigi is hiding her true identity, and the ticking time bomb of her secrets threatens everything.

The story shines brightest in its moments of found family and emotional depth. Watching the intimidating Smith brothers—Killian, Gris, and Rush—rally to protect Gigi and Emma is heartwarming and thrilling. Emma’s innocent joy melts even the most hardened hearts, and the scenes where she bonds with these overbearing men, especially the usually intense Killian, are simply unforgettable.

This book delivers everything a mafia romance lover could want: high stakes, sizzling chemistry, heart-pounding suspense, emotional resonance, and a tender portrayal of love and family. Gigi and Rush’s passion leaps off the page, balanced with moments of sweetness that keep you rooting for their happily-ever-after.

Tammy Andresen closes the King of Las Vegas series with a perfect blend of danger, heart, and passion. While I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters, this finale left me completely satisfied—and excited to see what new worlds Andresen will draw us into next.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

**Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars) — The perfect "diet mafia" palate cleanser and a great conclusion to the Smith brothers!**

Tammy Andresen is one of my absolute favorite go-to palate cleanser authors. Her books aren't overly long, complicated, or super dark—they are just a fun, short rollercoaster ride! It’s very "diet mafia" in the best way possible. I have loved this interconnected world she has built, and we finally got the last Smith brother's book!

Rush was your typical grumpy boss, but he falls fast and hard for Gigi and her daughter, Emma. He was the perfect balance of over-the-top jealous, possessive, and obsessive, while still being incredibly sweet, kind, and caring. Throw in a dash of his business ruthlessness, and I'm a happy girl!

Gigi was great! She was so strong for herself and her daughter, even though she didn't always feel that way. What she and her little girl went through was horrific, but she fought with everything in her to keep them safe, even when she was terrified. Through it all, she still kept her kind and caring nature. She and Emma both deeply deserved someone like Rush to love and protect them with every inch of his soul.

There was a sort of third-act breakup, but it didn't even last an entire chapter before Rush was right back by her side. I appreciated that quick turnaround so much! Haha.

Also, my favorite Smith brother, Killian, was back and played a big part in this book! I absolutely adored his friendship with Emma and how protective he was of both her and Gigi. It was so incredibly cute to see this big alpha sitting and playing dolls with Emma, loving every single minute of it.

I am definitely looking forward to diving into the Sinclair brothers next!

Overall I've enjoyed this whole series and appreciate the author for writing it. Having the youngest brother move to New York makes sense and paves the way for the next series. I love single moms as MFCs. Killian has been a pleasant surprise in almost every book and he doesn't disappoint here either.

However, there is something about the casual misogyny these MMCs display that bugs me. I keep hoping they'll grow more aware but they haven't so far. Lines like this don't sit right with me.

“Maybe she’s just a run-of-the-mill battered wife trying to start over.”

The fact that any battered woman could be considered so common as to be “run-of-the-mill” is appalling, and even if we argue about statistics and the sheer number of women who are abused, it should never be thought of as ordinary or normal. He's so inured to the plight of abused women, that he almost seems bored with the thought.

Here's another example of how he views her with casual disregard,

“Having a woman that attractive directly under me speaks to my power, my position.”

Ugh. I think we're supposed to believe that he grows throughout the book and that he doesn't just think of her as an object to give him more prestige, but the way these kinds of statements are situated in the story - I'm not sure the author means that, or realizes she's writing it that way? Or maybe she wants her MMCs to only have so much emotional awareness? Romances are always fantasies. Would it really be so unbelievable to have the MMCs gain a deeper understanding of the devastating effects of patriarchy on the women characters and themselves, in all of its nuances and excruciating details?

The final book in the Kings of Las Vegas packed just as big a bunch as the others did in its ability to pull me into the pages and hold me there. A tragic story begins with an abused woman, Gigi Hope, and her abused daughter, four year old Emma, seeking refuge amongst the empire of the Smith brothers, in particular Rushton “Rush” Smith who is attempting to get the New York part of Smith Brothers Real Estate thriving. If Gigi can land a job with the real estate company, she feels she can hide from her abusive ex-husband Vigo Sinclair there. Rush known as the “Big Bad Boss” for his grumpiness and domineering ways meets Gigi in the elevator on the day of her interview and is immediately attracted to her, making it so that she’s hired as his administrative assistant immediately but Gigi now has another problem. Rush’s number one enemy is Vigo Sinclair and she’s not sure she can come clean with her secrets even when the Smith brothers begin to fall hard for her and little Emma.
This book is dark but it’s got lots more cute and cuddly moments with little Emma and hot, steamy moments between Rush and Gigi with Rush being extremely jealous and very protective of Gigi and unbelievably going soft over Emma. Killian and Gris are also featured in this book, especially Killian showing a much softer side. As this series comes to an end, this book introduces new characters of the New York underground and I can’t wait to see what the Sinclair brothers have in store for us.

What a great storyline. This is the epitome of both hiding in plain sight and dark to sunshine. Ms. Andressen has given us a storyline that, like the previous books in the series, will hold you captive and have you hoping for a HEA for all involved. It’s full of romance, suspense and some very tense moments. As the story starts we meet Gigi and her precious daughter, Emma. They are running from her ex-husband Vigo, the head of the NY Mafia. A friend she met in a support group, takes them in and helps Gigi get a job with a real estate company where she ends up working for Rush Smith the CEO who is known behind his back as “Big Bad Boss” as he’s always grumpy and demanding. He also happens to hate Vigo who is blocking his NY deal at every turn. Luckily for Gigi, he has no clue that he’s her ex. But as Rush and his brothers get to know Gigi they get the sense she’s hiding something, but what? Is it more than just an abusive ex? They are determined to find out especially after meeting Emma. Rush, Gris and Killian all fall in love with little Emma. Yes, even Killian, the deadliest of all the Smith Brothers, shows a soft side with Emma that will melt your heart. But what happens when they learn Gigi’s secrets? Will it destroy everything her and Rush are building?

I love the Smith brothers and I hate to see their series come to an end, but Ms. Andressen gave us readers the perfect storyline with Rush and Gigi. Kudos for an outstanding read. I can’t recommend this book/series enough and this reader is anxiously waiting to see where we go next.

2 Thumbs up and 5+ Stars

Gigi and Rush's story!!!!

This was another enjoyable read in the series. The story follows a single mother raising her almost four year old daughter while trying to build a better life for them both. Gigi works for Rush, and from the beginning there's an undeniable attraction between them.
Rush knows she has an abusive ex-husband because he's seen the bruises. What he doesn't know is just how much danger she's still in or the full truth about why she's trying so hard to keep parts of her life hidden. As more secrets come to light, the stakes become much higher than either of them expected.
One of my favorite parts of the book was the chemistry between Rush and Gigi. Their relationship felt natural, and I enjoyed watching Rush go from being attracted to Gigi to genuinely wanting to protect and support her. The tension between them was strong throughout the book, and once they finally gave in to their feelings, their scenes together were some of my favorite moments.
I also loved the bond between the heroine and her daughter. Gigi wasn't just fighting for herself, everything she did was to protect her child and give her a better future. That made her easy to root for and added an emotional layer to the story that I really appreciated.
Overall, this was a good mix of romance, suspense, family, and emotional healing. The chemistry was strong, the characters were easy to care about, and the story kept me invested from beginning to end.

Hiding in the Enemy's Lair
Gigi is on the run from her powerful and abusive ex, desperate to find somewhere safe to hide. A job with the influential Smith family seems like the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. What she doesn't realize is that her ex is one of their greatest enemies. As danger closes in, Gigi finds herself working for the gruff and intimidating Rush Smith. He seems completely unapproachable at first, but as he learns more about her situation, he becomes determined to protect her. What will happen when the secrets she's worked so hard to keep finally come to light?
I thoroughly enjoyed this dark and steamy romance. The story is packed with action, tension, and plenty of suspense. It was fun catching up with Rush's brothers from the previous books, but the real scene-stealer was Emma, Gigi's daughter. Like Rush, I'm not usually much of a kid person, yet I absolutely adored her. Watching the dark, brooding Smith brothers interact with Emma led to some of my favorite moments in the book.
There is plenty of drama as the conflict with Gigi's ex builds toward a final confrontation, but for me, Emma and the Smith brothers stole the show every time they appeared together. This book brings the Kings of Las Vegas series to a close while also introducing the Devils of New York series. I'm looking forward to seeing where Tammy takes readers next.

Loved loved loved the series.

Loved, loved, loved this series!

I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but this series absolutely deserved one.

I enjoyed all of the storylines. At one point, I found myself thinking, “Okay, this feels like it might be a repeat of the previous book,” but I was completely wrong. Each brother had his own distinct personality and journey, and every story brought something fresh and unique. The female leads weren’t weak or helpless either. They were strong, resilient women who sometimes appeared vulnerable, but ultimately proved they were capable of protecting themselves and those they loved.

While this is a fictional series, there is a lot of truth woven between the lines. Tammy Anderson’s writing gives a voice to courage, resilience, and survival. For readers who have experienced domestic violence, her stories offer hope, strength, and the reminder that it is possible to stand up, take back control, and reclaim your life.

No, billionaire real estate moguls may not be Prince Charming in real life, but that is part of the magic of fiction. Tammy creates characters who inspire readers to believe in second chances, healing, and finding the strength to move forward.

Thank you, Tammy, for creating such an engaging and empowering series. I thoroughly enjoyed every book and highly recommend it.

This is the perfect finale to the Kings of Las Vegas series!!! I really enjoy a romance with a child… it keeps the stakes high! Gigi and her daughter Emma really stole my heart. Gigi is a survivor: strong, protective, and carrying so much pain, and I felt every bit of it, especially how far she’d go to keep her daughter safe. And Rush, the youngest Smith brother, had something to prove, and he proved it alright!!! He was the worst and the best of his brothers: grumpy, ruthless, but never hesitates to break his own rules for her. He’s the kind of man who would light a city on fire, watch it burn, and rebuild it just for the woman he loves. Their connection is instant, intense, and just works with the danger, the secrets, and the threat of her past catching up to her. I loved seeing the brothers again: big, scary, ruthless men babysitting her daughter, and who would do anything to protect her and Emma (M&M)… that found family hit so good!!! Not just from Rush’s side but Gigi's side too. The chemistry was instant and burning hot… The spice level is so high, it made me blush. Mafia tension, abusive ex, and heated emotions… this book was the complete package: action, steam, heart, and family, and a really, really satisfying ending. I can’t wait for the next series.

Finally, we get Rushton - or Rush - Smith’s story, and it’s a great one. So much that I read the book two times in a row!

Rush has been sent to conquer New York City in his family’s name. Having set up shop in a state of the art, highly secure corporate headquarters, Rush goes into “all business mode” to validate his place in the Smith family.

Gigi is running from an abusive ex-husband. She’s trying to find a job and a safe place for herself and her daughter, Emma. Hiding behind a false identity, Gigi is simply trying to survive.

Gigi and Rush are inevitable. When the two meet in an elevator at Smith headquarters - Gigi on her way to a job interview and Rush storming into his office - you can feel the immediate connection and pull between them. Before long, both Gigi and her daughter have not only burrowed into Rush’s heart, but also that of brothers Killian and Gris.

This was a fantastic conclusion to the Smith family’s saga, and a really unique introduction to the Sinclair family. As usual, I cannot wait for the next book. I read this book as an advanced reader copy.

Gigi and Rush

I’m so sad that this is the end of the Smith brothers series. Instead of Las Vegas, Rush and Gigi’s story is set entirely in NY, which also introduces the Sinclair brothers series in a preview at the end of the book. Can’t wait for their story.

As the youngest brother, Rush has a lot to prove. His brothers are all overachievers and he has pressure to succeed in NY. Gigi is hiding out from her very violent ex husband and is hired to be Rush’s assistant. Their chemistry is immediate. Rush knows she has secrets. Gigi is confused that she feels safe with him even tho he’s very much like her ex. Love how hard Rush falls for her and how protective he is of her and her daughter.

Both Gris and Killian arrive to help Rush out and become equally protective of Gigi. When her secrets come out, it’s bigger than was even hired at and they all rally around to protect Gigi and the Smiths. There is no 3rd act breakup, both Rush and Gigi communicate like adults (mostly) and the Smith series is wrapped up in a nice epilogue. It’s a bittersweet ending but I hope some of them pop in again in future books.

Tropes- billionaire romance, single mom, office romance, fmc on the run, grumpy x sunshine

"You are beautiful beyond measure. You do not need to be pretty every moment of the day."

I can't believe this series has come to an end but the next one definitely sounds interesting I can't wait. Gigi is Rush new assistant after running away with her daughter from her ex husband.
Emma gigi's daughter absolutely stole my heart the entire time I was reading cause she's just so sweet and cute, they both been through so many things and they're just so strong. Rush is a billionaire CEO who goes through assistants like it's nothing, his worst enemy is also Vigo who happens to be Gigi ex husband. The chemistry between
Rush and Gigi is amazing and rush will do absolutely anything for Emma and Gigi he loves them both so much.

“Because what I know is that for the first time in my adult life, I’ve fallen in love. And Gigi, she’s rewriting every rule I have.”

“I love you more than words can ever express Thank you for this beautiful life and thank you for just being you.”

Thank You So Much for giving me this incredible arc !💐🖤

The youngest Smith brother Rushden has his story which concludes this brilliant series. Rush is in New York to buy some waterfront land but Mafia boss Vito Sinclair is trying to undermine him. Gigi is a single divorced mum who needs a job, she lands the job as Rush’s assistant.
A lovely finale plus it introduces us to the Sinclairs who will feature in the next series. I loved grumpy Rush who’s world was rocked when he met Gigi. Gigi is intelligent but after a disastrous marriage is weary of any man. I loved the chemistry between these two, it was off the scale. Gigi has secrets, which of course are revealed. Gigi brings out Rush’s protective side & he’s determined to protect her & her daughter Emma. The star of the book was Emma a rising four who wraps not only Rush round her little finger but Killian as well. Wonderful characters, a fast paced story, electric chemistry, a horrid villain made for an engrossing, enthralling book which I read straight through
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

Gigi is running from her abusive ex-husband, Vigo Sinclair. She applies for a job with the Smith Brothers Real estate company. If she gets the job, she will get a safe apartment and in-house daycare for her daughter Emma in the same building where she works. She finds herself working for Rush Smith, the “Big Bad Boss.” They are attracted to each other at first sight and their romance develops quickly. It isn’t long before Emma has Rush, and Killian, eating out of her hand. When Vigo comes to Rush’s office on business, he discovers that Gigi is working there. This is an exciting finale to the Kings of Las Vegas series. Action and romance take place at a fast pace. There are some obstacles to the business deal and the road to happiness for Rush and Gigi. There are great characters, Rush, Gigi, Killian, and Gris; an adorable little girl whose interaction with the brothers is delightful; a scummy villain who gets what’s due him. Lots of action and a happy ending. Next – the Sinclairs.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The author grabs you in the beginning and doesn’t let go until you have devoured the entire book.
Gigi is hiding from her violent mobbed up ex husband Vigo.
She applies for a job for safety and security, a safe apartment in the same building with built in daycare for her daughter Emma.
Rush Smith is the owner and big boss who takes one look at Gigi and takes her for his personal assistant.
The story develops quickly as they fall for each other despite their different priorities.
Rush’s brothers become involved in the business and unfortunately they have to tangle with Vigo.
Hot steamy fun as Rush falls for Gigi determining to always protect her and Emma.
The Smith brothers are always entertaining, sexy and dangerous.
Last book in the series but we are teased with a new offshoot from this series.
Highly recommend reading about each brother as they are all so different and exciting.
I received an ARC but the honest opinion is my own.
