I really hope that I can benefit from all this. I have a serious problem thinking about getting rid of anything of my grandmothers,it will go to my grandchildren&it tugs at my heart, but after reading this book it makes me realize that my grandchildren are between 3 & 12yrs old,so where am I going to keep it all for the next 17-20yrs? I am going to sit down&take inventory&decide what makes me happy. It was educational & i hope I can be strong enough to follow through.
Again it was very nice to see exactly my anxiety&helplessness when I read about the sentimentality section & how I have been a "keeper" my whole life.
I collect a lot of free e-books through various promotional websites. Sometimes the free books are rare, hidden gems that need a little love on the review pages. Sometimes, they're stinkers. This one is a stinker. There may be some useful advice in these electronic pages, but the grammar and punctuation is so atrocious that the book is unreadable. Ironically, this book is clutter in my e-reader. Best avoided.
help. I thought the book was very well set up very help and grI pick this book cause I have lived in this house for 30 years and I neededeat ideals. It even had a few things that I had not thought I myself. I would suggest this to anyone that needs help with organizing problems. My problem is build up of stuff over the years. You should read I'd its good information!
I was hoping to find different tips to organize and declutter muy small RV. I moved from two homes,(a one bedroom and a three bedroom),into a tiny RV and need hero getting rid of this stuff. I tackled the majority of it in the last two days but it's extremely hard to do.
This book had some good information in it. Easy and a quick read which means you can get to that clutter sooner. It could have given a few more tips but the ones they gave were great.
I found this book to be very disjointed. It had some useful information, but I think a lot of it was fluff. There are better decluttering books out there. I will say it was a very quick read though.
This book gives you general cleaning and declutter advise. It's not going to tell you open your closets and cupboards and put this here and there. It's a good read.
Whether its one room, a few rooms or an entire house this book is a great step in enlightening and opening your eyes to the habits you have when it comes to clutter. Summary of what it helps with and the steps of decluttering; Do everything in stages, don't try to conquer it all at once! This book starts by helping you understand clutter and your habits along with helping you be able to identify clutter. Once you have identified what you do value and need in your life, think about how to get rid of what you don't need and get it out of your house. There are ideas of processes you can do to determine how you want to get rid of things. Once the things you don't need have gone, start organising what you have so you can find things easier. And keep up the habit. The book talks you through decluttering as part of your everyday routines, with easy steps to make it less of a chore and easy to maintain and keep up rather than having to keep doing major overhauls.
One of the major points that has helped me is in identifying of the the difference decluttering and organising why they are both important. This book has massively helped me. I have been very bad at keeping and holding meaning onto things that don't need to be in my life, growing up in a house and never having moved has also not given me a massive reason to declutter, but I feel I have been faced with clutter for too long now. After reading this and a few greener lifestyle type books it has really changed my ideas on what I need and value and how I should always have only what I truly value!
Excellent eye opener would massively recommend to anyone wanting to have more space in their life! I am in the process getting my life less cluttered and am approaching the end of my first major goal its nearly achieved and I'm massively proud and hope to keep up the good work and achieve more of my decluttering goals! Hope this book helps you with your declutter journey and massive love and luck! Remember motivation and trigger the negatives to help you move forward don't face up to them because you can get through them! X
Learned I basically can do one or two areas at a time. I decided to start with my books and wall hangings first. This book gave me inspiration to get started
I like this book because it was short and to the point. I'm excited to get started. I will get 4 boxes tomorrow , will be on my way to less stress
I could not continue to read this book. I found myself looking for more grammatical mistakes than actual processing the content. Editor needs reevaluated ...terrible read.
I like the fact that this book lays out the steps of de-cluttering your house, why it is necessary and then how to organize AFTER you get rid of the clutter
This is a great book for those of us addicted to clutter and I would highly recommend it.
This was a short, quick read. A perfect fit for the title. It had no unnecessary words, and I appreciated it's clear message. It had some good ideas, and I'm anxious to get started on decluttering my home.
A useful book that explains a few points clearly. For me, it was helpful to have the information in a short read that I'm more likely to remember. I did enjoy the point about decluttering is not the same as organising. I often reorganise my clutter thinking I'm decluttering.
