This book had me in stitches from start to finish! The author has such a genuine writing voice and I felt like I could actually hear the characters throughout the entire novel. Settings and scenarios were described in such a way that I felt like I was a fly on the wall, and it made me connect with the FMC and her journey even more. Tough topics were delicately handled with humor and empathy, and it made for a fun and believable read!

Love Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All is funny, real, and full of heart read. Laney’s journey through love, friendship, and self-acceptance really hits home because it shows that life isn’t perfect, and that’s okay.
The book mixes humor with emotional moments in a way that feels natural. The writing style is friendly and easy to follow, like having a conversation with someone who truly understands the ups and downs of love and self-doubt. Laney’s story is full of relatable struggles—trying to fit in, feeling unsure of herself, and hoping to find someone who sees her for who she really is. It’s comforting to see her navigate these feelings with honesty and humor.
The way the story is told is thoughtful. It moves smoothly from one chapter to the next, giving us a clear look at what Laney is feeling and thinking. The characters are well-written and kind, showing their flaws and strengths without judgment. You can tell the author cares about making them real and relatable, which makes the story even more engaging.
What really makes this book stand out is how it talks about body positivity and confidence. Laney’s journey isn’t about changing to meet others’ standards but about loving herself as she is. The story reminds us that love doesn’t come in one “perfect” size and that being true to yourself is what really matters. It’s respectful and warm, never preachy, just honest about what it means to accept who you are.
The characters make the story special. Aaron, the sweet and confident guy, gives hope that love can be kind and respectful. Ethan, her funny and caring best friend, shows us that sometimes, the best relationships are the ones that make us grow and challenge us. Their interactions feel real, and their feelings come across honestly, making it easy to connect with their stories.
The book doesn’t shy away from the awkward or painful moments. Instead, it shows how these moments can teach us something and help us grow. It’s a reminder that love isn’t perfect, and that’s part of what makes it special. Sometimes, the best love stories are the ones that include a little mess and a lot of heart.
Overall, Love Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All is a kind and uplifting story about loving yourself and finding someone who loves you for who you are. It’s a gentle reminder that everyone’s love story is different, and that’s what makes it beautiful. If you’re looking for a story that’s real, warm, and full of hope, this book might just touch your heart.

"Why would he stay with a chubby bunny like me when he could get a Playboy bunny like her?"
Laney is a plus-sized Jewish graphic designer who is trying to find love. When she connect with an online date (Aaron), she thinks that she has found the ONE. But her best-friend, Evan, is suddenly in the running. After a disastrous "meet the parents" with Aaron's folks, Laney finds solace in the arms of her best-friend. Could she have been ignoring the love that was right in front of her eyes? Could their friendship be something more?
This is a closed door, very vanilla romance. If you're looking for some good clean charming story telling, this one might be up your alley. It wasn't really for me, but I appreciate the work that went into it. I really liked Laney and Evan, and the side characters, Jessi and Matt. I found Laney's obsession about her size off putting after awhile. As a big girl, I am regularly aware of my size and the space I take up. I'm not sure if I need to experience that same insecurity in a character.

Okay! This was like a 3.5 to 4 star for me
And honestly??
Part of that is because she was really hard on herself
And I get it
I really do
It felt real, and I actually appreciated that it wasn’t just brushed over or magically fixed
But at the same time… there were definitely moments where I was like okay… I just want you to give yourself a little grace here
That being said… I was still into it
The story pulled me in, I liked the vibe, and I stayed interested the whole time which says a lot
It has that fun rom-com energy but with a little more going on underneath
And even when I felt a little frustrated, I still wanted her to get there
And the ending??
Yeah… she gets her man
BUT it’s not even just about that
It’s more like she finally starts seeing herself a little differently too, and I actually really liked that
So yeah…
3.5 to 4 stars
Had me a little frustrated at times, but I was still rooting for her the whole way through and that says everything 📚

Perfect Rom-Com if you ever felt overlooked. The author did an amazing job at writing this story on how dating can be difficult being plus size. The romantic love triangle mixed with comedy and wedding chaos was the perfect book I read being in between series!

Must Read
4.5⭐️ Laney is a plus sized woman navigating dating, friendships with skinny women and her brother’s impending wedding to the perfect fiancé. Her best friend Ethan is great, but their relationship is strained when she dates Aaron who didn’t defend her to his parents. There is brutal honesty in this book about being a bigger woman. Laney is a relatable and great character. It’s hard to read this and not want to punch some people. The parents of these characters make all the difference.

light hearted and a fun read!
Beth Alexander is my favorite new author!! Such a fun and easy read. So lighthearted and you can just see the personality of Beth (yes we’re now on a first name basis 🤪!) shine through. I can’t wait to see what she releases next!

3.5 stars rounding up for indie pub
This was a cute, very low-tension rom-com with a fun overall premise. Laney is insecure about her weight and finds herself caught between a man she’s just met and someone she’s known most of her life. It’s also closed-door, so this could be a great fit for readers who prefer romance without on-page spice.
There were definitely things I enjoyed. The story has light rom-com vibes, and Matt, Laney’s best friend, was easily my favorite character. The book also leans heavily into the miscommunication trope, which isn’t personally my favorite, but I know a lot of romance readers enjoy it.
Where I struggled most was with Laney’s relationship with her body. Nearly every internal thought she has about herself seems to circle back to her weight, and almost always negatively. There were moments along the lines of “despite my extra weight, I looked good” and I kept wanting to tell her: Girl, just say you look good! I would have loved to see more growth in the way she viewed herself by the end.
Some of the commentary surrounding body size also didn’t work for me. There are stereotypes about fat people as well as thin people, particularly the assumption that all thin women are judging other women’s bodies. There were also some Jewish stereotypes that made me uncomfortable. Likewise, women being referred to as things like “skanks” and “sluts,” even jokingly, just isn’t humor I appreciate.
A few plot points stretched believability for me. A dress shop carrying nothing over a size 12 seemed odd, especially since the average American woman wears around a 12-16. Aaron saying “I love you” after their second hookup, only for calling Laney his girlfriend to later be treated as the bigger relationship bombshell, also felt backward. Laney jumping from Aaron to Ethan essentially overnight was another transition that felt extremely abrupt.
Unfortunately, I also never completely bought the romantic chemistry between Laney and either Aaron or Ethan. Ethan’s decision to ghost her didn’t entirely make sense to me based on what had been established about his character, and some of the relationship developments seemed to happen because the plot needed them to rather than because they felt organic.
There is also quite a bit of info-dumping, and I ran into some unusual Kindle formatting. My copy showed roughly 300 pages, but some “pages” contained only a sentence or two, so I’m not sure whether that was intentional or simply a formatting issue.
The ending itself was fairly predictable, which I don’t necessarily mind in a rom-com, but I would have loved a little more payoff in Laney’s personal arc. More than choosing between two men, I wanted to see her come away genuinely more comfortable with herself.
Overall, this is a sweet, closed-door, low-angst romance that I think will work best for readers who enjoy love triangles, miscommunication, and light rom-com stories. It didn’t completely land for me, particularly in its handling of body image and the romantic chemistry, but there were still plenty of cute moments—and Matt deserves his own book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — If Love Isn't One Size Fits All by Beth Alexander
Bridget Jones vibes and I absolutely loved it! ❤️
This was such a fun, enjoyable read. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and most importantly it made me feel.
I loved the characters, I loved the humour, and there was just something so relatable and comforting about the whole story. It gave me major Bridget Jones vibes, which I absolutely adored.
When it came to rating it, I genuinely couldn't think of a reason not to give it 5 stars. Did it completely destroy me or leave me staring at the wall questioning my existence? No. 😂 But that's the thing — not every 5-star read has to.
Sometimes a book gets 5 stars simply because you had a bloody lovely time reading it, and that's exactly what this was for me.
It was funny, emotional, relatable and just an all-round feel-good read that I'm really glad found its way to me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — because my 5-star reads aren't one size fits all either. ❤️📚

I read Love Isn’t One Size Fits All and honestly this was just such a fun read.
Even the cover pulled me in right away. It almost looks like a TV show, which made the whole experience feel a little more playful and easy to jump into. That vibe really carries through the story too.
I loved that it focuses on a plus sized woman navigating dating in the city in a way that feels realistic and grounded. It does not rely on over the top tropes, which made everything feel more genuine and relatable.
One of my favorite things was the lack of heavy spice. I feel like spice is so overdone lately, and this was such a refreshing change. It lets the story, the humor, and the character development actually shine instead of relying on that.
There are still plenty of funny moments, but it also touches on confidence, self worth, and what it really feels like to put yourself out there. It balances lighthearted and meaningful really well.
Overall, this was an easy, enjoyable read that felt real, refreshing, and just genuinely fun from start to finish. Well done.

LOVE ISN'T ONE SIZE FITS ALL by Beth Alexander
A romantic comedy to start my day and I was hooked from the very first page!!! 💖✨ I rarely rate stars as it can vary depends on the reader buuuuut this is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!!!
First of all Laney is an absolute hottie. I love how confident she is and the way she carries herself around everyone. But beyond that, her love for her friends and family is just so genuine and heartwarming.
This story had me laughing, feeling emotional, and everything in between. It's definitely a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but in the best way! You can feel the humor of the author in this book. Oh I'd love to be friends with her!
If you’re looking for something funny, heartfelt, and full of love in all its form this one is it! You'll surely fall in love with Laney!
I adored the friendships, the close family bonds, and of course the romance. This book just gave me everything I love in a rom-com! It delivered all the emotions I needed to feel!

This book is absolutely beautiful. As a plus size girl myself. I identified with the FMC so much, i struggle with so many of the topics touched in this book. I'm so glad she got the ending she did.

This book was so much fun from start to finish. I loved the author’s voice and the overall vibe she created. The love story was cute, honest, and genuinely enjoyable. I often find romance books a little too cheesy, but this one wasn’t like that at all. It felt natural, which made it so easy to root for the characters.
I also appreciated the minimal spice. It was refreshing to read a romance that focused more on the connection between the characters and the story itself. Such a fun, feel-good read!

The Long Game Always
Thus the story begins with a beautiful woman trying to find her way in life and relationships. It’s not easy being a thick woman and finding love. She does amazingly though. This story is extremely accurate.
Sometimes it takes some time to actually see that love is right in front of you. And accepting that love also takes some some effort.

The one-liners in this book are genuinely clever. I caught myself laughing out loud more than once. Beth Alexander has a real knack for comedic timing on the page.
But don’t let the humor fool you, the romantic tension is great. I was completely pulled into the love story and found myself rooting hard for Laney the entire way through. She’s the kind of main character you just want to see win.
Funny, swoony, and also moving. Highly recommend!

Loved this rom-com❤️ finished in a day because I couldn’t put it down. Very unique writing style and FMC is a plus-size girlie. Laney struggled with her size and felt she wasn’t worthy. So we go through her self-love journey as she’s looking for her love. Definitely recommend!

This closed door romcom is filled with romance, misunderstandings, and heartbreak. The FMC was brutally hard on herself for being plus sized, but her friends, family, and love interests only saw the beautiful person she was. I appreciated that the story was focused on a character who didn’t exactly fit the media image of beauty and highlighted all the amazing traits that made her such a likable character. Her sarcasm added laughter to the story and her kindness added grace. A fun story about insecurities and miscommunication for those who love a bit of laughter in their romance.

cute!
This was a lot of “gosh I feel so seen” and “why won’t he get his head out his butt” moments 😂
I enjoyed the whole thing start to finish. But I was absolutely heartbroken (prolly more than I should have been) about one of the characters dads. (Trying to be spoiler free here is so hard)
Overall this book is absolutely 💯 different than any book I’ve ever read and I’m so glad I picked it up!!

The story had a warm, authentic feel that made it easy to keep turning the pages. While some moments felt predictable, the emotional depth and character interactions kept me engaged throughout. I especially appreciated the message that love looks different for everyone and that there is no “perfect” path when it comes to relationships.
What I enjoyed most was the focus on the different ways people experience love, connection, and personal growth. The characters felt relatable, and I found myself invested in their journeys as they navigated the complexities of relationships and self-discovery.
I can see how some readers might get tired of the main character repeatedly bringing up her insecurities about her weight. For me, though, that was one of the more realistic aspects of the story. Personal struggles don’t disappear overnight, and self-confidence is something many people have to work on consistently. Her repeated doubts felt less like repetition and more like an honest portrayal of how difficult self-acceptance can be.
Overall, this was an enjoyable, feel-good read with meaningful themes about love, acceptance, and finding what works for you.

Fun and easy go to read!
Love Isn’t One Size Fits All was such a fun, heartfelt, and emotional rom-com! I laughed, I got a little teary-eyed, and I found myself really connecting with the characters and their experiences.
The writing was great, relatable, and pulled me into the story. While some parts were a little predictable (as rom-coms tend to be), that honestly didn’t take away from my enjoyment. Sometimes you want a book that makes you smile, gives you all the feels, and leaves you feeling good when you turn the final page—and this book absolutely delivered that for me.
A sweet reminder that love doesn’t have to look the same for everyone, and that sometimes the most unexpected stories can turn into something beautiful. 💕
Definitely a book I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fun, emotional, and easy-to-love rom-c

This book gave me a Hallmark movie vibe. A romantic connection and the hoops and misadventures that the main character goes through being a woman with some "extra" weight.
Overall a pleasant read. I could imagine watching a Christmas movie like this while hanging up Christmas decorations and drinking a nice hot chocolate.

Loved this so much
This book felt emotional, relatable, funny, and comforting all at once. It’s the kind of story that makes you feel seen while also making you root so hard for the characters to find happiness.
As a plus size woman, I connected with Laney so deeply throughout this book. Her insecurities and inner thoughts felt incredibly real
I also really enjoyed the author’s writing style. The dialogue and banter between the characters felt natural and believable, like real conversations between people who genuinely cared about one another.

This book feels really honest in how it handles dating and confidence. The main character is relatable and funny, especially in the more awkward moments. It can be a little hard to follow at times, but it still keeps you interested.

absolutely loved this book!! It was the perfect rom-com for me. I loved Laney the FMC and I resonated with her character so much. It was nice having a plus size character portrayed in a book as I'm also a plus size so I understood all her insecurities.
The writing style was so fun and was such an easy read. The storyline flowed really well from chapter to chapter. It had me feeling every emotion possible. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster but loved every second of it.
It gave me bridget Jones vibes and I loved the humour. I was laughing all the way through the book. I need her friendship group in my life!!
Everyone needs to read this book and I will 100% be recommending this to everyone!!

I loved this story! From the beginning when I was laughing out loud, I was hooked. Main character Laney is witty and well-written as are all of the supporting characters. I could picture each scene vividly and enjoyed the plot. It's been a while since I devoured a book in just a few days, and I took the time to do that with this one. If you want a fun, delightful rom-com, I recommend this one!

Okay, I’m going to start this review by saying you absolutely need to read this! It gave me such strong Bridget Jones rom-com vibes, and honestly, I was HERE for it! 😂💕
I absolutely loved Laney, our FMC. Although she struggles with her feelings surrounding her weight and body image, she’s such a fun, upbeat and genuinely likeable character. I really enjoyed following her journey and getting to know her.
The writing style was fun, light and so easy to read. The storyline flowed really well, made complete sense, and never felt like it was lacking anything. It was one of those books that I could just pick up and get completely lost in.
And can we talk about her friend group?! 🥹 I absolutely loved them. They were always there to lift Laney up, support her and remind her of her worth. Proper girls’ girls, and I’m here for it! 🫶🏻
Now, the love triangle... 👀
I definitely wasn’t expecting that when I started reading, but I actually thought it was done so well. And THAT ENDING?! 🥹 My heart was absolutely there for it. I loved how everything came together.
Honestly, I’d love to see this turned into a series! I’d happily read a book for each of the friends and their own love stories. And maybe even a little look into Es’s love life before... 👀 Because I need to know!
Overall, this was such a fun, feel-good rom-com and one I’ll definitely be recommending to everyone. 💕 If you love Bridget Jones vibes, romance, friendship and a whole lot of heart, add this one to your TBR!

self deprecation got old after awhile. I kept waiting for her to realize she was good enough as herself but she never reached that point

Such a cute story! However, the typos and stereotypes throughout the story were so distracting. They threw me off throughout the book and kept me from giving it a 4 star reviews.

Laney is a plus-size main character who is trying to find confidence in herself. She knows she has pretty attributes, even though she sees her weight as a flaw. She wants to find “the one” and starts dating Aaron.
At first, she really enjoys being with him, and their relationship starts to get more serious. But during a dinner with Aaron’s parents, everything changes. They judge her because of her weight and say he can do better. What makes it worse is that Aaron doesn’t stand up for her and instead says their relationship isn’t that serious.
After that, Laney ends up sleeping with her best friend Ethan, and it turns into more than just a hookup. It becomes one of the most passionate connections she’s had, and their relationship feels much deeper.
The story doesn’t really pick up until after page 100. Laney also experiences some light fat shaming, so if you’re sensitive to that, this might not be the book for you. The author does a decent job portraying a plus-size woman.
This is a clean, closed-door romance, which I personally wish it wasn’t. The ending also feels a bit abrupt. I would have liked more after the ending to give better closure. Overall, though, the author does a good job telling the story, and it’s worth the read.
