Two families meet and collide in the heat of Carolina Low Country in this lyrical beginning to the Brotherhood of Souls Romantic Adventure Series. Beauville is a town that's late to the 21st century. The Covingtons don't color out of the lines. The Souls don't have any lines. Darren and his brothers are fixtures in the lives of Sarah Covington. From the day he rode up her driveway when she was just a girl to the horrible day he left her at eighteen, Darren's marks on Sarah's life fill her coming of age with passion, desire and the frustration that comes from wanting someone you cannot have. The quartet wild boys each have their own set of devils to conquer. In Brothers, you are introduced to the world of the Souls and the girls who will be tangled up in the saga of rebellion and adventure as their lives unfold. All of the Brotherhood of Souls romance novels are five-chili sizzlingly sexy and meant for readers who love a good dose of heat with a page turning story. These are adult and steamy romantic adventures. Darren and Wyatt are also available now. Each Soul sibling has his own unique romantic story to tell. Noah and Harlan will follow soon. "He kissed me a kiss that was not my first kiss, nor the longest, nor the most urgent I'd had in my young life. But it might as well have been the only kiss I'd ever had." The Brotherhood of Souls This series is composed of five interconnected stand-alone novels that tell the stories of Grayson, Wyatt, Darren and Noah Soul as well as their cousin Harlan .

Not K.C. Falls best work.
It was like reading a little girl's diary for the most part.

Maybe the rest of the series is steamy, but this is just.....

Kinda 'Meh'

This book flew by as I read it. I finished it in one sitting. I liked the book but it really is a set-up book for the others in the series. I loved all the characters and all their personalities. The book leaves a trail of hints about future books leaving me wanting to know more. I, too, am a SC girl from birth until now and although not as genteel as Sarah, I can easily identify with the expectations and assumptions of being a born and bred Carolina Girl. Even better...my name is Sarah, too. So, I easily connected with her on many levels. Falls does a great job capturing the low country of SC. I love how I can hear the southern twang in my head as I hear her talking. Good read!

Such promise

This is the intro book to Darren's book. This is the story of Sarah and Darren in their young and high school years. You knew from reading this their lives would be intertwined and complicated. Two people from different worlds that try to make it work.

Seriously?!?! First off, I'm from SC and we don't talk like this! Second....is this really what teens are like now or do I just not remember it right?

Sarah was a rich girl that was only interested in one person the majority of her life. It's started at the age of 12 and got fulfilled at the age of 18. Her obsession was undeniable and everyone knew it including her parents. When she got the chance she lost her virginity to her crush Darren Soul but blew the ending of what it meant to her when almost caught by her best friend, Leann. Will she get another chance in the next book I don't know but I think she's destined for great things with Darren.

So not standalone

Seriously wait until the series is complete and buy as a box set. I was so freaking waiting for something to happen to make it a story AND NOTHING DID!

The first crush is the hardest

Darren Soul, the small town hired farm hand and one of the towns best looking guys, is working for the towns wealthy "Covington's". Sarah Covington has known Darren most of her life and lusted for him since a very young age. Darren has never given Sarah must notice until she turns 18 and is about to go away to college. Sarah has only ever wanted Darren but he sees her as the "rich, snobby, bitch, above everyone else, including him. Sarah wants to change his mind. This was a quick read and spun a little too fast towards the end of the book, in preparation for book 2. Good story but seems to sped you up and drop you.

I really, really loved this book. I felt all the emotions Sarah went through with her obsession will Darren. He was a boy from the wrong side of the tracks but Sarah was drawn to him from the first moment she saw him roar up her parents driveway on his noisy bike. Over the year's she fantasized about him. He was her first love, her first kiss and the man to make her a woman. But she made mistakes and Darren left her thinking she was a stuck up snotty nosed brat. K.C Falls write beautifully and emotively. I was desperate to find out what happened next and the second book, Darren did just that.

Man, I liked this book.

I enjoyed this book so much I have already bought the next one and will probably start on it immediately. I am thrilled to find a new to me author. There are other series I'll have to dive into.

Sarah comes from a wealthy family in a small town in SC. She has a serious crush on the bad boy from down the road who works on the family's plantation. I would say that this ended as a cliffhanger. It didn't stop in the middle of an action but in a weak transition from one stage of life to another.

Sarah comes from a well off Southern family in small town Beauville. Darren Soul and his brothers are the town bad boys. Sarah has been in love with Darren since she was 12 years old. This story starts with a young couple discovering who they are. Darren moves away and goes to college leaving Sarah at home to grow up. When Darren comes home for a break he and Sarah have one night of HOT sex and then he leaves. To see if they get their Happily Ever After you have to read the next book in the series. This is told from Sarah's view and does not give a background or view from Darren.

Good.......but

I was not warned that this was a prequel. It's basically the setup of the whole series, and it's the beginning of Darren and Sarah. It's a great start, but know to find out what happens next you have to buy the next book.

The storyline has potential, but needs a little something more to it. Ending was very abrupt.

Funny and true

The characters are either rich and beautiful or extremely masculine and with really empty wallets but gorgeous. Fun read, fast moving..

I hate that it just kind of ended. I made it to the end with no resolution in sight. I'm curious about Darren but I don't know that I'll continue it.
