He was never supposed to want me.

The Don's right hand. A killer in a tailored suit.

Leone doesn't feel. He calculates.

He kidnaps me, cages me, watches me until I should be terrified.

But I'm not afraid of him.

And that makes me his weakness.

Surviving his world was supposed to be temporary.

Instead, it chained me to the most dangerous man in the city, and he'll burn it all down before he lets me go.

It was different from the previous books, which I loved. I'm not saying it was bad, just different. A little less dark but with more raw characters.

At the beginning of the book, Leone seemed like a robot to me, but fortunately, after a few chapters, he woke up (or rather, Alexandra woke him up) and started behaving like a person with feelings and needs. On the other hand, I can't really imagine what it's like to grow up like that, to be more of a weapon than a person. But the fact is that the author's male characters are more distinctive and broken, and that's what's great about them. They all have their own stories.

Alexandra was cool. I liked her sharp mind and strong feminine nature. The female characters always develop beautifully, and it's a joy to watch.

In any case, I wasn't bored for a single page, there was always something going on, the story flowed as it should, the dialogues made sense, and sometimes actions speak louder than words. I also appreciate the connection to West Point. You can see that the writer is growing, and with her, her amazing stories. I'm excited to find out where we'll go next.

This book is heavy in romance with mafia life they are living in.

I love the vulnerability of love written here. The vulnerability that allows you to live life to the fullest without regrets even when it can cause your life.

A HEA for the couple, but still connected story to the next book. So be ready to get a long journey in a new series of mafia world.
