What can I say, other than I loved this book. As someone lucky enough to have traveled to Italy a few times, Andy’s descriptions transported me right back — and the photographs are incredible. It was like I was walking the coastline alongside them - fully immersed in the scenery he so vividly brought to life. I found myself flying through the pages with hopes of a photograph to match my imagination.

The contrast of work and ideology woven throughout this book was both intentional, metaphorical, and nonetheless impressive — a reminder of how perspective shapes landscapes, experiences, and even personal style. It’s the perfect elevated “adult picture book,” complete with a meaningful storyline that carries you from beginning to end.

I’ll be tuning in for the next one and can’t wait to see where he takes us next. A must-read for your next trip — or to transport you on one you didn’t know you needed.

A contrast in styles

In addition to being an interesting description of a trip along the Italian coast, the book shows how two photographers can interpret what they see in such different ways. One focused on color and the other on texture. Both expert technicians producing very different results from the same visual inputs. A well written storyline with outstanding photographs.
