It seemed like a good idea at the time. Get over my break-up by having a one-night stand with a rock ‘n’ roll hottie and move on with my life. Going on tour as the official photographer to the world’s number one band was not part of the plan.

Have you ever dreamed of being plucked out of the crowd by one of the hottest rock stars in the world?

I didn't even know who Ozstryker were when my reckless sister Beth dragged me along to their concert. I went solely to keep her out of trouble, not for me to get tangled up with the famous guitarist renowned for his magnificent shirtless torso and talented fast hands.

I had no intention of becoming a groupie, let alone anything else. But when Jax Ozstryker invited me on a date, I decided it was time for a little fun. Not that the night ended how I had planned – or how he planned, for that matter – I got a job and he didn't get laid.

So now I’m on tour with the biggest band in the world with my crazy, unpredictable sister for company and a beautiful dangerous attraction for my new boss. I never dreamed life could be so crazy. Or complicated.

But this is life on the road – where nothing makes sense and everything is possible.

Just perfect..

As a result I grew up quick. I shut down my own emotions to cater to everyone else's. I guess it was my way of coping...

So, choosing to read a rock star based novel had me at a love/hate mindset. Knowing that it could go either way, from experience, I did not really know what to expect.

Sexy

Funny - oh-so-funny!

Cute

HOT

Addictive

Sweet

Heartbreaking

Unpredictable

Different

Perfect...

Saying that I am a sucker for rockstars would be an understatement. Unfortunately, having read so many books that were only enhancing the cliché of everything that we cringe at when reading that type of story, had me thoroughly surprised at Beautiful Dangerous. So freaking surprised!!

In essence, what would you expect to happen when 2 sisters attend a concert, meet the 2 boy band brothers, and getting personally invited backstage? Not what you'd expect..

I may not have known who they were, but hot guitarist guy was getting up close and personal with every sexual urge I'd ever had...

I couldn't move if my life depended on it. It was too intoxicating to look away!

From the very first page, humour + a strong mindset was how Layla became a very lovable character. I literally laughed out loud at the most inappropriate of times (insert 'ashamed emoji' for that one time I nearly spilled hot coffee at the person in front of me while waiting for a cab.. Hey. It's not my fault I couldn't put Jax's drool worthy banter down. I'm only human after all.. ;) )

That moment where she was trying to "flirt" with him and only, literally ended up face-planting the floor? Lol I couldn't stop laughing, to the point that tears made presence hahah

Whoever said flirting was harmless was wrong. My flirting could get me killed!

Little moments like that made the story so engaging, realistic and definitely relateable.. :P

I mean, I wouldn't be able to do justice to anything involving the funny side that the author so greatly accomplished. But not only that, when you balance humour with sex appeal and an intriguing story line? Can't say anything other than PERFECT!

Jax & Layla's relationship was attraction at first sight but if anything, they worked so hard to keep their relationship working! I admired that Penny Dee captured the essence of a rock star lifestyle but at the same time, the raw, human, and almost vulnerable side that we aren't often told in books.

I was rumbling. Why? Because the way this beautiful, beautiful man was looking at me. Seriously, he couldn't be more perfect if he was Photoshopped! Damn, this guy had totally won the genetic lottery.

If that wasn't enough to make this an addictive read, she added the element of surprise which I didn't really see coming. I had a idea that it would turn out the way that it did, but the development between the 2 sisters and their two boyfriends/rockstars, was second to none really.

Layla's mindset was methodical, thoughtful and reasonable for the most part. But, add a mind melting, drool worthy man to it and you'd slowly realise you had no idea that bad can be good. In this case, Jax was everything that Layla needed.. She didn't know it. Expecting a one night stand only seemed normal for a man of his calibre. But, you'd be surprised by how very wrong she was..

This story truly was a great, addictive read that I will no doubt re-read sometime soon!

The ending just about killed me!! Talk about nail-biting, edge of your sit moments..

This whole situation was a freight train and I didn't have the power to stop it. And I didn't want to. My life was barrelling towards the unknown. And I liked it.

Saying that there was amazing humour is one thing.

But.

Being able to somehow, balance that out with a heartbreaking back story for both Layla and Jax, that only leads to how they look at life now. THAT's pure talent!

Jax crouched down to survey the damage, bringing with him a delicious cloud of his scent. It was pure testosterone and sweat. And if I hadn't been so busy dying from embarrassment on the side of some random Denver street, I would have inhaled it like he was freshly brewed cup of coffee. "Yes. Falling down was fatal to my dignity."

I can't believe at one moment I was laughing so hard that I was practically showing the people around me with coffee (Yea I know. Don't judge haha). And just like that, at a flick of a page, I was balling my eyes out.

To be honest, sometimes when a book can elicit some sort of deep or strong emotion like crying, laughing, heartache... is a sign of a true novel. A novel that you know was written with passion and a care for how the author wanted the reader to experience the journey and emotions that they so wonderfully created.

That was then. Now? Now, I can't think of a better way to be grateful to have read a book that had everything I wasn't expecting. Heartbreak. Tears. Laughter. Shy smiles. Sexy moments. Basically, a whole bunch of emotions that makes me look like a weird mess..

"I told myself I wasn't going to do this" he said softly. "Do what?" "Fuck things up by falling for you."

I can gladly applaud the author for bringing this beautiful story into my life! That's so cheesy but honestly? It's hard to find a book that plays with every possible emotion, and Beautiful Dangerous is a simple, mere understatement of everything a book should be.

Defying the norm of what a rockstar and their lifestyle/personalities are like.

Treading the deep emotional balance of black with white.

Unmercifully taking possession of any chance you might have had a plans for the next day or two.

And basically, emotionally screwing up your mind when it comes to resisting what you thought were your true emotions.

It was a beautiful dangerous that blurred the lines, yet it was a beautiful dangerous that I couldn't resist.

A timeless story that I couldn't recommend any stronger than GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS ON THIS but kindly don't fall for Jax. Dibs on this #bookboyfriend lol

Thank you Penny Dee for being able to provide an ARC! I couldn't have been happier & prouder to give a 5+ rating to any book other than this one :)

Loved it from the beginning. But, I do have an important question... In this day and age, why do the heroines have to be virgins or only have one previous partner. Not that I'm free love type of woman giving it away at the drop of a hat and can still use one hand to count my partners. I was the calm one of my friends growling up. The way these books read I should be happy married popping out babies to a man who adores me. Some reality ladies... All my friends who dropped panties at the snap of any man's fingers (if they had any on), the one's having threesomes, etc... married happily. While the not so quick to toss the cat at everyone. NOT MARRIED!

Here's to the free lovers who do it right and get nothing but shit tossed at them in the book world.

Yes ranting has nothing to do with the reviews... out with the girls and many margaritas are being tossed among us while we read, drink, gossip, and sadly review buzzed.

Do not drink and review!!!!! It leads to this shit!

This is another rockstar book that I really enjoyed! The characters were interesting and the story was fun and not so full of drama. Just an easy read! The book centers around two brothers who have become rockstar legends and two sisters who just happen to attract their attention. While at a concert for Ozstryker (which for the life of me I tried and tried to pronounce their name and just couldn’t get it...lol) two sisters Layla and Beth are having a grand old time rocking out to their music. Layla catches the attention of the younger brother, Jax, while Beth is totally smitten with the older brother, Jimmy. Layla’s not really into the whole rockstar thing, but goes along for the ride with Beth. And, when she meets Jax Ozstryker, she’s blown away with his beauty and sexy smile. He’s one intoxicating male with his green eyes and dark hair. Layla knows that she could lose herself in this guy. So, when Beth decides to go on tour with the band, what’s a loyal sister to do but become the band’s personal photographer. She someday wants to go to photographer school, and what better way to get experience then to spend time photographing a rockband.

The story is written in Layla’s POV, who is just such a nice and genuine person. She’s beautiful, smart, and hard-working. Some years ago her mother passed away, and she just always felt that it was her responsibility to look after her family. So when her sister decides to tour with the band, how can she not go along and support Beth. The fact that she’s attracted to Jax Ozstryker is just another bonus in itself. As she tries to keep their relationship on a more employer/employee level, she finds herself spending time with him personally. But, Jax has a son and an ex-wife, who just happens to be a bitch. When the ex finds out about Layla, she tries to suck Jax back into her calculating web of guilt with tormenting grief. What is he to do? Does this couple stand a chance to keep their love intact when one from the past is so hellbent on playing with Jax’s conflicted emotions just to get what she wants?

This was an awesome book! There was some drama that definitely included that uncertainty of exactly how the novel would play out. Some unpredictable situations occurred, which I did not see coming. So, hats off to Ms. Dee for surprising me! The characters were definitely interesting. Jimmy was funny as hell! He was way out there!!! And Drew Paul and Nero were definitely pretty amusing too. And, Beth, well I couldn’t count how many times I laughed out loud at her hilarious outbursts! Both Jimmy and her were to die for!!! But when it came to Layla and Jax, well they were just perfect!!! I loved them as a couple, and I was so hoping for them to get their “happily ever after”!!! Oh, and the ending with that epilogue - EXCELLENT!!! Looking forward to reading more from this incredible author....

“His eyes were closed as he lost himself in his playing. His fingers danced over the strings. The crowd was enthralled. I was captivated. When he opened his eyes, they found mine and he smiled. It was that moment – that very moment – I fell in love with Jax Ozstryker. Head first, stupid, crazy in love with him.” ~ Layla (Chap. 17)

And DAMN, another mind-blowing cover!!! SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

Present wife apologising to her husband for witnessing him kiss his ex-wife:
“When I walked in and saw you with Victoria, I wasn’t thinking straight.”

“Victoria reached up and was touching his face with a cupped hand.
“Hunter misses you, He misses his daddy, Jax. And I miss his daddy, too.”
Victoria closed the small distance between her and Jax and pressed her mouth to his.
“You can’t just walk back into my life like you never left. Things are different now. I’m married. I’m happy.”
“To that photographer? The one you married in front of Elvis after a few weeks of meeting her?” She scoffed. “I hardly call that a marriage, do you Jax?”
“Layla is a good person,” he said.
Whoa.
That was it?
That was Jax defending our marriage?

“Oh really? I didn’t just walk in on my husband kissing his ex-wife?”
“She caught me off guard.”
“And that makes it okay? You didn’t even defend our marriage. Or us. Or me!”
“I’m sorry you saw that. I’m sorry you walked in at the wrong time—”
“Because you got caught out!”
“Because I know how it would’ve looked. And now you’ve got the wrong idea.”
“I think seeing you shove your tongue down your ex-wife’s throat pretty much says it all.”
“She kissed me!”
“I saw the look on your face when she was kissing you—” I sobbed, as I remembered how lost in the kiss he had been.
“What? Don’t do this, Layla. Don’t make me the bad guy here.”
“You are the bad guy here. And what did she mean about you kissing her when you came back to Seattle? What did you do Jax? What did you do with her when I was still in Boston?”
“Nothing happened.”
“Did you sleep with her?”
“No.”
“Did you kiss her?”
“She kissed me, but I stopped it before anything happened.”
“Just like she did today? Tell me Jax, did you forget to defend our marriage then like you did today?”

“Nothing happened between us,” he insisted.
“Then why didn’t I hear about it when you came back? You were feeling guilty about what you’d done with Victoria!”
“I can’t do this.” I whispered.
“Layla—”
“You didn’t tell her to go away. You didn’t defend our marriage. You didn’t do anything but kiss her back when she wanted you to.”
“I was confused!” he exclaimed suddenly.

“I’m not your wife, Jax. I’m just some girl you exchanged vows with in front of Elvis because you were lonely and she was drunk.”

“You and Victoria. The girls in the hotel room. The drugs. It’s crazy. And I don’t know what to do with it. I’ve been trying to make sense of it all, Jax. You. Me. Victoria”.

“You gave up on me. You told me you didn’t want me anymore. “How do you think that made me feel, Layla”? Is that justification or an excuse???

I guess in Romancelandia, you can kiss your ex-wife numerous times and bring other women to ‘party’.

An utter cad without any sense of remorse. I am not this writer’s target audience.

A love story with unseen obstacles, great friends, sexy men, and kick ass music. All the good stuff wrapped up in one smoking hot book. To say the least I'm in love with Jax & Layla. The sexy guitar God that is still just a little uncomfortable with the fame and the nerdy girl with the camera that takes his and the band's pictures makes a great love story. A added bonus is Beth and Jimmy what a flamboyant couple. I don't think I could say enough good things about this book.

Ugh... I really enjoyed this book up until about 82%. After that, I lost respect for both of the MCs. Everything ended up working itself out in the end, but the behavior exhibited by them would not reflect for a healthy relationship in real life. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but I will say that the first 80% was definitely a 4 star read for me and the last 20% was more like 1-2 stars. It was well written, but I didn't like the direction the author took.

**DEBBIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**

I was so excited to start this book. I have not read a good rocker book in a while and this book did not disappoint. What can I say; I have a special place in my heart for hot rock stars!!! I loved the two main characters, Layla and Jax. The author did a great job at allowing their relationship to grow. Yes, they were physically attracted to each other when they first met but no insta-love crap. I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat reading this book waiting to see if things were going to happen between these too.

“I knew from the moment I got this job that getting involved with him was no longer an option. And I wasn’t about to act on it. I had decided that the night he gave me my job.”

I loved everything about Layla. She was strong and spoke her mind. She didn’t take anyone’s crap and had a great sense of humor. I loved her inner nerd and the banter between her and Jax was Fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!!

“I’m going to kill your brother and when I’m down with him, I’m killing you too.”

The chemistry between them was off the charts hot and I am going to warn you that this book is a panty drencher. The author did a fantastic job with the build up. I loved all the attempts that turned into epic fails!

Jax was super sweet and I loved his alpha side. He had a great sense of humor and I loved the way he teased Layla. Jax is one of the best guitar players in the world and is in the band Ozstryker. His brother Jimmy is the lead singer and I found him to be pretty funny. The other secondary characters were written really well.

“There were so many layers to Jax Ozstryker, it was hard to work him out. He seemed almost too good to be true. Too unaffected by his fame and awesomeness to be believable.”

Layla’s sister Beth is a real piece of work. She spoke exactly what was on her mind and you never knew what she was going to say next.

Beth’s eyes sparkled down at me. “You know the best way to get over Bobby would be to get under Jax Ozstryker.”

I love it when the author adds that evil witch of a person that you want to cunt punt. Well that most certainly would be Victoria in this book. I hated everything about her. She was a lying, evil skank that had no morals. She walked out on Jax and left him devastated. Now that he was starting to move on she wanted him back and would do anything to make that happen. She went to some extreme measures to get Layla out of the picture. I wanted to crawl into my kindle so many times and smack the crap out of Victoria. I was happy that Layla didn’t take her shit. Sometimes the things Victoria said were horrible and hurtful yet Layla didn’t let Victoria know it hurt. Layla knew how to play dirty too and even though it wasn’t her style she showed her evil side a few times and put Victoria in her place.

At 86% my heart was shattered into a million pieces and I seriously wanted to kill Victoria. Jax was not looking so good in my eyes either. I had a few not so kind words I would of liked to have been able to say to him at that point and wondered if he really was a nice guy or was it all just a bunch of crap!

This book took me on a ride full of all those emotions that you want in a book. I would be laughing and a few pages later I would have the urge to throw my kindle and a few pages later I would have stomach pains from the things that were happening in the book. The author threw me a few plot twists that I never saw coming that had me cursing at my poor kindle. When I was finished I felt emotionally drained but loved every second of it. If you love lots of angst and not you’re typical rocker plot check this one out! I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Review by Jen Hagen

Jax Ozstryker is the lead guitarist of a top-rated rock band founded by him and his older brother, Jimmy. He is 26 years old but has had experiences in his life that make him much wiser beyond those years. He has seen rock bottom and has worked hard to rise above and keep himself grounded. He also wears his heart on his sleeve and is ready to find somebody to settle down with to complete his family.

Layla is the daughter of rock-and-roll loving parents. She and her younger sister, Beth, have been raised by their father since their mother passed away. Layla is conservative while her sister likes to live on the edge and is ready for the next big jump. Beth takes Layla with her to see the hit band, Ozstryker, and there is immediate eye contact between Jax and Layla which leads to backstage passes and in turn leads to the chance of a lifetime.

Layla is 23 years old and wanting to go to photography school to follow her passion. Jax offers her a deal to become the band’s official tour photographer. This would be an excellent way to pad her portfolio so she accepts the position. However, this now puts a damper on following through the electrifying impulses felt between Jax and Layla as he is now her boss. But rules are meant to be broken, right?

Layla and Jax agree to try a relationship. They are continually blocked from acting upon their sexual desires, and these moments are hilarious. Better laugh now, because there will come a time when you will be holding your gut because it hurts so bad from the angst rather than because you’re laughing hysterically. And here it comes…

He bent his head to sweep his lips across mine but when he pulled back, his eyes were distant.
There was something he wasn’t telling me.

From 81% to the end was some of the most delicious angst I have read this year. It had everything I enjoy in those guilty pleasures of reading somebody else’s pain.

He just stared at me. It seemed slinging hurt was my new superpower and it had rendered him frozen to the spot. I didn’t mean it. But I was hurt.

It may be difficult for some to find a way to still like Jax, but bear with him. He has a lot of pain and confusion he needs to work out. Jax may be deserving of the pain he inflicted upon himself but if there’s one thing that Jax is afraid of it is being alone.

“You walked out…you left me…you know that killed me…watching you turn your back on me…telling me we were done…don’t walk away from me again…please.”

Layla waivers between anger and forgiveness…He was lost and damaged. And when I should have hated him, my heart ached for him.

I felt the exact same way Layla did. I should be hating Jax, but his pain and confusion wore me down. And just when you think the pain can’t get any worse…it does. Oh my goodness, I think my heart stopped beating.

“I just wanted to make the pain go away. But…not…like…this.”

The story is told completely in Layla’s voice. This was my first time reading anything by Penny Dee and I found her writing to be enjoyable with the combination of humor and angst. I look forward to reading more works of hers.

Beautiful Dangerous was a story of two people from two totally different worlds. You meet Layla, who is sweet, shy and kind of nerdy. The complete opposite of her out going crazy but hilarious sister Beth. Then there is Jax, charming, sweet and did I mention he's a sexy guitar player of a very successful band.

Layla and Jax meet when he invites her backstage after a concert. Layla and Jax hit it off but not in the way you think. They spend the night talking until Layla passes out on Jax's lap.

Jax only in town for a few days offers Layla a job to take pictures of the band while they are on tour. Layla accepts but says its only to watch her little sister who happens to be hooking up with Jax's brother and was invited to accompany him on tour. That is when their story really begins. Layla and Jax have so much sexual tension but neither one willing to cross that line.
Will they eventually put that friendship aside and follow their hearts? Will the fame and groupies that surround Jax be to much for Layla? Well I guess your just going to have to find out. I promise your will be disappointed.

I'm giving this book 4 stars

Penny Dee did an amazing job writing this story. I especially liked that even though the characters did have an instant attraction they didn't hook up right away. I did at one point scream in my head " Just get it on already". I will recommend Beautiful Dangerous to my book friends and cant wait to see who's story we get next .

~Jenny

I really enjoyed this book! It's super hot and hilariously funny. Layla gets dragged by her sister Beth to an ozstryker concert and while performing Jax ozstryker, sexy guitarist, can't take his eyes off her. Jax knows right off the bat Layla isn't like other girls when she denies that the backstage pass he tries to get her is meant for someone else, not believing she's the type to be asked back stage. It takes a little work on Jax's part but he's able to convince Layla to go on a date with him but she decides it can't go any further. That is until Beth decides she's in love with Jax's brother and band mate and Layla decides to be the band's photographer to keep and eye on her sister.

The relationship between Layla and Jax is very well written and I really enjoyed their comradery as well as the heat between the two. Also, the twist involving Jax's ex makes this and real Page turner. The other band members are hilarious and I definitely look forward to reading more about them in future books!

Beautiful Dangerous

What would it be like to be on tour with a famous rock band?
The concerts, the band, the glamour.
How different would your life be?
How amazing would it be?
How life altering would it be?
The natural high, the adrenaline, the madness.
And you fell into it all by chance?

Welcome to Layla's world.

Layla. Twenty-three. Works at an ice creamery. Her passion. Photography.
But in an instant Layla's whole world changes when she attends a concert with her sister Beth.
The band, Ozstryker.
But a band member in particular, Jax.

Jax, sees Layla in the crowd.
He needs to meet her.
He's drawn to her.
She's mysterious.
He organises back stage passes for both girls.

They meet.
He needs to somehow work out a way to keep seeing her.
But how can he do that?
The idea?

Give her a job.

Layla becomes their Tour Photographer.

And so begins Layla and Jax's story.

A story about two people so drawn to each other, but are afraid to leap.

Can anything become of Layla and Jax?
Will they allow each other in?
What secrets does Jax have?
Will Layla keep it strictly professional?

Add to that an ex-wife, groupies and a near death, you have an amazing read.

Beautiful Dangerous for us was a fantastic read. We fell in love with Layla and Jax from the very beginning.
The emotions we felt poured through the pages. We laughed. We cried. We held our breathe. We wanted to scream. And the sex scenes......Deliciously hot. We were never short of feeling throughout the whole novel.
The author was very descriptive and kept us entertained from beginning to end.
We couldn't put it down.

Beautiful Dangerous should be on everyone's TBR list. A definite 5 star read.

Holy Smokes! I am totally blown away! I expected to enjoy the book because I love Penny Dee's writing, but I didn't know that I would have a new top favorite book! Beautiful Dangerous is without a doubt the best book I have read this year. Honestly, it is absolutely perfect. It has everything I enjoy in a great book, and I can give it nothing but praise. Penny Dee's writing is flawless. The story line is entertaining with lots of twists and turns. I was able to connect with the characters and feel real emotion. Oh and some of the dialogue.....hot and sexy plus hilarious! I was laughing out loud one minute, swooning the next, and then even had tears in my eyes at one point!

Ozstryker is one of the most famous rock bands in the world, unbeknownst to Layla. So, when her sister Beth drags her to one of their concerts she most certainly did not expect to be invited backstage by sexy guitarist Jax Ozstryker. Jax knows Layla is different from all the other women that hang around the band. For starters, she has no idea who he is. She agrees to go out on a date with him and before she knows it she has a new job....as official band photographer and is going on tour with Ozstryker!

Read Beautiful Dangerous and see how Layla handles being on the road with a famous rock band and a sexy guitarist who might just be working his way into her heart. I guarantee you won't be disappointed in this story! Penny Dee is now one of my favorite authors and I absolutely can't wait to see what she comes out with next! I give this book 5++++ stars!

This is the first book I've read from Penny Dee and it won't be the last! I am in love with her writing! You can feel the emotions coming right off the pages, I was sucked in as soon as Jax looked at Layla. Could you imagine THE sex God of guitars looking at you? YOU!! Wow, this story is amazing, Layla doesn't even know who Jax Ozstryker is but she can't keep her eyes from lingering to his perfect, delicious body. After arguing with her sister, Layla makes the biggest change in her life and career, hopefully for the best she tells herself. It's not all love and sunshine for Layla and Jax and the build up Penny writes is fan freaking tastic!! I was hanging by a thread and couldn't wait for them to "get together" since if seemed like it was never going to happen. I connected so well with this story, the words just flowed right off the page and I couldn't read fast enough. I felt so much from this story, passion, humor, aggravation, mad, and OH MY GOD did I ever feel turned on!! One of the hotter books I've read in a long time and I'm putting this here, Jax Ozstryker belongs to me. Because holy hell he's perfect. THE perfect book boyfriend! I was stunned at how this book ended, I was a ball of freakin nerves!!! I can not say enough great things about this book and I can't wait to read more from this amazing new found author!!!! TEN STARS Penny Dee!!!

So this is my second book by Penny Dee and it was also a really great story! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This book is also about band/music rockstars. You meet Layla & Jax. She wanted to have a one night stand with a rockstar to get over her bad breakup. So when her sister took her to the concert it was a perfect opportunity.

Instead she ends up falling asleep & getting a job as a Tour Photographer for the band! Definitely not what she was expecting & neither was Max. LOL let me tell you that it was quite a funny story at times and I actually liked it a lot.

One thing I would say that the ending reminded me a bit about the first book I read of Penny Dee. But overall, I really liked it though and can't wait to read more!

I thought I was going to either hate it or love it. And I love it. I love so much that this is not a book about fangirling or groupies!!! By 50% way through it, I loved it. Sure, there's some cheese and some eye rolling but the main characters are great. I was wary about most books involving "rock gods" but the characters are genuine. They stay true and don't waver in their core characteristics. Definitely one book I couldn't put down and read in one sitting.
*And of course, keeping spotify close, it's only fitting to pull up the songs they reference during scenes
**Also, naming my next daughter Layla now 😍

Reread it:

Oh so good!

Oh Penny Dee this was a fantastic read!! I loved every bit of it from beginning to end! I loved each character. Beth and Jimmy, Jax and Layla. I laughed and cried! One of the most original of The Rock genre I've read in a long time. You definately know how to tell a story!

Rock -n - Roll baby!!

Really enjoyed this read. Everything about it, storyline, fast paced, hot sexy tattooed Rockers, angsty and freaking hot 🔥! Everything I want from a Rockstar genre read.
My only complaint is I thought Layla forgave him to quickly. Overview would recommend this book.

This is my first Penny Dee book and I really enjoyed the read. Very well written in spite of a few small editing errors. All the characters were well portrayed and you are able to immerse yourself in them and their worlds.

Jax the sexy Musician and his flamboyant brother, Jimmy both meet and fall in love with sisters Layla and Beth. Both couples are perfectly matched and while this story was Jax and Layla's i was equally enthralled with the relationship of the secondary characters and cant wait to read their story.

There were moments where I just wanted to grab Jax and shake him for the stupid mistakes that he makes, but then that's what made this such a good read and like all well done HEA's he totally redeemed himself

A very nice lazy afternoon read for me.

I really enjoyed it.

Wow! I am amazed by this book! I absolutely loved the entire thing! Penny Dee pulls you into the story you feel like your actually a part of it all! I was literally squealing like a fan girl through the whole thing!!

We meet Layla who seems like a quiet and laid back character at first. Layla has been dragged to a concert with her sister. Layla and lead guitarist Jax's eyes meet during the concert and BAM the sisters are invited back stage to meet the band! What follows from here is a brilliant story of flirting, fame, epic opportunities and falling in love!

I fell in love with each character! Jax and his brother are absolute polar opposites! There's giggles a plenty and I also definitely shed a tear or two! There's some hot and steamy scenes and can I just say I am quite envious of Layla!!

If you like rock star books then this is the story for you! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I will most definitely be checking out more from Penny Dee!

Loved this story. The conversations of Layla with Jax or Beth was very amusing. And Layla's tendency to stumble over her own feet was entertaining, especially the night she was trying to sexy flirt with Jax. Watching the two of them grow into love from that first eye contact at the concert made book reading a satisfying experience. Which is why we read books, for entertainment and enjoyment. There are many delightful moments as their friendship grows. Stumbling blocks involving jealousy, misunderstandings and insecurities add spice and variety to the mix. But the most emotionally painful was toward the end of the story when 911 had to be called. I felt as if I had been punched in the gut! I was ready to hate the author! I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. This is an amazing story written by a talented story teller. I highly recommend this book. Five Stars.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! I love a rock star romance but so many are sub-par. This one is anything BUT. It had everything I look for in a great story. In fact, I might go back and read this one over again right now in case I missed something. The characters were so well written I could picture them clear as a bell. I fell in love with Jax right along with Layla. I felt like I was in the stadium with them when Ozstrycker played Clapton's Layla. I heard it in my head and was humming the tune while reading that passage. My heart was in my throat when Jax jumped in the press pit. My stomach did little flips when he told Layla how much she meant to him. Layla is not your stereotypical romance heroine either. She is one of the strongest female characters I have read in a long time. There were times in the book when I thought to myself "she needs to leave" or "that situation would crush me". But Layla maintained, she persevered. She fought back for herself, for Jax, for those she loves. She ended up with an HEA. :)

The story is very easy to read and the author moves you right along with the characters. I never felt bored or distracted. In fact, I couldn't read it fast enough. Usually there are times in a book when I say "oh that would never really happen". Not once did I think that during this book. Just enough of that to keep it real but in a wonderfully fictional way. Does that make sense? I read stories to escape but they need to be based in reality for me. This book hits that mark. The author also incorporates humor into the story. Many times I found myself laughing out loud at a comment or a situation in the story. I could picture myself doing or saying the same thing! lol

Just go one click this sucker. You won't be sorry. This is a stand alone, no cliffhanger and has an HEA.

One word for this book is......Amazing!!!
I was recommended Penny Dee's debut book "Crazy Beautiful" by a friend awhile back and that story blew me away. I couldn't wait to see what Penny Dee would release next. Once I saw she was releasing Beautiful Dangerous and I saw the synopsis I knew I wanted to read it immediately. It sounded just as good as her debut story and I couldn't wait to start reading.
I love Rockstar stories and Penny Dee's had a way with her writing that made the characters come to life and make the book different from others in its genre.
Layla is a nerdy but fantastic character. She's very sweet, extremely love able and a great character that you see go on a great journey. I loved Layla's Witt, charm and love with her sister.
Layla is a great photographer and is a big passion of hers.
Layla's sister Beth drags Layla to a concert of a band that she has never heard of.
She knows nothing about the band or the band members. So when Jax Ozstryker the smokin hot guitarist spots Layla he is immediately drawn to her. He Instantly is drawn to her mysterious persona and he knows he has to find away to keep seeing him as he loves that she doesn't know him and isn't bothered with him because of him "Rockstar Status"
Jax decides he needs to get to no her so she ends up going on the tour as their photographer and that is where the fun, heartbreak, love, secrets, revelations, fun and laughter begin.
Layla goes on a massive journey and I really enjoyed watching it.
Layla starts off as a nerdy and inexperienced girl who was quite naive. She lived in her own little world and that was her life. Watching her then go on a tour with a world wide acclaimed rockstars and the way she handled everything, learnt new thing, gain confidence and experienced so many things she could never of dreamt of in a million years was fantastic. Her character was fascinating. The author did a incredible job at creating a great character that was great at the the beginning of the book, but Amazing at the end of the book.
Jax knew Layla was different and special the moment he saw he.r, that's why he wanted to get to no her and was determined to at any cost. I could understand in his world women are easy to get and he never knows who is being honest with him. Do they want him because of who he is or do they want to be with him because he's "Jaz Ozstryker "? He knew Layla wasn't playing any games with him as she didn't no who he was, so I could understand his attraction to her immediately.
You knew that both characters were attracted to each other and there was chemistry between them, but neither would take the final jump to make done thing happen. I liked reading the build up with them. It kept me wondering if either would take the next step or not. I no Layla was very worried about being unprofessional as she was a employee, but I also knew that Jax had secrets that was keeping him from making a move as well. I was desperate to no more about the secrets and find out what they were. I didn't want Layla to get hurt as she was so loveable and I was really worried that Jax's secrets would ruin any chance they had before it even began.
I loved both characters equally. They both were very interesting and likeable. You couldn't help but love them and want the best for them both. I was desperate for them to get together as I thought they were perfect for each other, but there was so many things that kept getting in there way I honestly wasn't sure how there relationship would end up.
The author has a way of writing a book flawlessly and sucking you in to the characters world. I still honestly can't believe this is only the authors second book. She is extremely talented. I'd recommend her books to all my friends and family. I will also be on the look out for mor books from the author in the future as I've absolutely loved both books she has released, so I'm sure any future books will be just as amazing.
A outstanding 5 stars and a must read by everyone who loves Rockstar books, but also but anyone who just loves a perfect book.

Penny Dee’s Beautiful Dangerous is beautiful rock romance full of sweet moments. This book is a must read for all the rock romance lovers out there. I’m glad I squeezed this book in my busy book reading schedule, because I love it. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed every page I read and it satisfied the sweet tooth.

Jack and Layla’s characters were well written and I fell in love with their characters so easily. The way they met was a once in a lifetime chance and you can even call it LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

 photo BeautifulD-Teaser1.jpg

They started as friends no matter how hard it was for them to be anything less than lovers. The way Jax was with Layla made my heart flutter a bunch of times. The way they fell in love made my heart melt. In between their love affair, there was drama. I mean what’s a story without drama right? In this story, drama had a name and her name was Victoria. Victoria is one mean Bit**, every time she was around I wanted to throw something at her to get her out of the way.

 photo BeautifulD-Teaser2.jpg

I cannot forget about the sexual tension between Layla and Jax. It took them a little while to get each other in their beds, but when they finally did it was nothing less than hot and pure of sweetness.

The drama at the end of the book almost broke me, it was so much. But Layla being such a strong character fought for what she wanted and deserved. But will she be strong enough? Read and find out.

Believe me, this is a great great. If you love sweet stories with some heat, this book is for you. <3 Jax!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author in exchange for a review.

Beautiful Dangerous is set in the music arena, with main character Layla being dragged to a concert by her sister. The concert sets her life on a completely new path, full of highs and lows. It's not a simple 'Boy meets girl, they fall in love' story. In the spotlight associated with a majorly successful band, there are plenty of hurdles and turns that the main characters must overcome.

I am so in love with Penny Dee's writing style, it is really easy to become invested in the characters. I feel like I am on a journey of growth and discovery with Layla, as she tries to stay away from Jax, the hot guitarist, that seems to be interested in being more than friends.

The tension between Layla and guitarist god Jax is palpable, but I enjoyed every bit of it. I kept changing my opinion about Jax - is he a reformed good guy or does he have skeletons in his closet which will destroy any potential relationship? Do rock & roll relationships EVER work out?

Beautiful Dangerous is such a wonderful read about the world of rock, touring and love in difficult circumstance. I love how Layla's character develops, from a sweet girl with no knowledge of the world's biggest band to an ass-kicking rock & roll chick. She is incredibly likeable and easy to follow. One of my favorite things about this book is the banter between Layla and her sister, Beth. It's witty, it's teasing and it is funny! Beth is the opposite of the voice of reason and I looked forward to reading every comment she made.

I absolutely devoured this book, it was so much fun stepping into the world of concerts, groupies and non-stop touring. I cannot recommend it highly enough, particularly for fans of music and romance. I'm really interested to see the next book Penny Dee publishes.

What a great sexy love story and the sexual tension was off the charts hot. I was screaming at the book just do her already would you. Jax is not your typical rockstar. He's not out screwing everything, he's not strung out on drugs, and he's not a selfish prick. He will be your next book boyfriend. I loved every moment of this journey of Layla and Jax's journey. Layla gets dragged to a concert with her fun loving sister Beth but Lalya has never heard of the band they are seeing. Right from the moment Jax and Layla's eyes meet there is sexual tension so he invites her backstage to the after party. Beth talks her into it as a way to get over her ex by sleeping with a rockstar. Only she doesn't get lucky that night but gets a job as the bands official photographer. Jax and Layla pretend that all they have is a friendship but the chemistry between these two is off the charts. Hopefully one of them will cave and put me out of my misery. But seriously I loved every minute of Jax and Layla's journey and got to see the nice sweet side of a rockstar instead of the egotistical jerk that some are portrayed as. Thank you Penny Dee. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So, right away I'm going to say that Penny Dee has created characters and voices of those characters that I really enjoyed. I don't usually enjoy the first person perspective even if I enjoy a book but the voice of Layla and Jax made me adore first person. And it's been a little while since that has happened. So Bravo!

Beautiful Dangerous also made me feel so many emotions, some heartbreaking, some sweet, and just you feel a lot of emotions in this book. And all of them feel even stronger than the last. And the writing and voice of Layla really brought it home for me.

The plot was enjoyable. And definitely gave me an escape for a little while. Which is always appreciated when school starts dragging you down. I had a bit of a hard time putting Beautiful Dangerous down when I had to go to class.

Beautiful Dangerous by Penny Dee was a great rockstar romance!

I received a copy of Beautiful Dangerous in exchange for an honest review. Just like that old Time Rock and Roll..What a great read. I found this book to be a fun read and a page turner. Layla and Beth both named after songs cause their parents were so into music end up meeting Jax and Jimmy Ozstrykers. Beth who is seeing Jimmy decides to go on tour with the famous Ozstrykers and so Layla decides to go too to make sure her sister stays out of trouble. Only Layla goes as the group's tour photographer. Jax was so into Layla but she insisted that they keep it a business relationship. Which only lasted so long. They end up with an interesting relationship and a lot of twist and turns happen from there on out. What a fantastic read. I do highly recommend this book especially if you want a fun read.
