The title says it all: fearful reporter Carl Kolchak meets some form of the classic monsters: a werewolf, Frankenstein's creature, Count Dracula, and an enormous ape (Konga standing in for King Kong).
These four short tales are lively and engaging work - the werewolf story being the most pure fun David Dastmalchian's script is witty and introduces Kolchak fans to the monster-fighting host of Son of Svengoolie, a lady in spooky makeups who gives her name as Laverne Defazio(!).
A bonus section includes a cover gallery (for both collection and the individual issues) and a look at one script-to-finish for a page from each of the four stories.
Extras for Kickstarter supporters, in my case, include a Kolchak Fan club Membership card, a mini-poster card from "Kolchak Meets Konga" (exclusive story for the collection) and a trading cars, "Kolchak and a Couple of Cops."
