Like a shooting star, the man calling himself Nero appeared from out of nowhere.

From the moment he stepped into rookie cop, Sasha Calvillo’s life, he captivated her, and like a torrent, pulled her in and refused to let go. His edginess and complete disregard for the rules, as well as his near arrogant levels of certainty, intrigued her. His lifestyle went against everything she believed in, and it irked her. This man was in complete control.

He saved rookie cop Sasha Calvillo’s life, and then, just like he came, he vanished, shrouded in mystery.

When she ran into him again due to freak occurrence, she became attached to him.
He warned her that she shouldn’t get involved with him. He told her that his life was dangerous, and that nothing good could come from her curiosities. But she couldn’t pull away.

Sasha was determined to know this man’s secrets; once Nero saw her resolve, he was willing to show them to her.

All of them.

Frustrating

The idea of this story is interesting but the writing is less than desirable.. The main character constantly repeats herself.. Writing the same idea different ways every paragraph is very frustrating to read.. Lots of skimming in this book.. The characters are not fully developed and the story is missing fullness.. Hopefully the author gets better with practice.. Oh and reading mines instead of mine over and over made me clench my teeth.

A free book that I found on Google Play. It's only like, 30-something pages, so it's not really a book as much as a short story, but I digress.

Given how short it is I expected, and was okay with, the thin plot, and the tropey damsel in distress scenarios laid out in the book. Where I got annoyed was when Nero rescued her from the semi crashing into her or whatever, because that's too much like Twilight, but even then I pressed on. It goes from him rescuing her from being crushed by a semi, to him asking her if she would let him have sex with her (she's a virgin, go figure), and then jumps right into a sex scene.

I'm not naive, I know this book was written as erotica, and therefore the most important part of the story should be the sex.... having said that I didn't like the sex scene. I've read a lot of fanfiction that has better written sex scenes (fewer typos, better use of language, better knowledge of anatomy, etc.). Granted, a lot of it is just my nitpicky nature with sex scenes and specific words used in them. These "buzzwords" I'll call them, are almost all used by this author, and it's totally not for me to say that nobody should use these words. I'm sure that other people would have no problem with reading them. I just can't.

It's worth a read if you're looking for vampire related smut and want to be able to get through it quickly.

It started w a police chef's daughter on her way to her father's birthday party at the station but on the way there she runs into trouble w a gang of guys that literally try to rob her but then this tall well built guy comes running into save her or well save the night. After he saved her and got back the watch that was her present to her father. She was in awe of him and started to fall for him but when she asked him his name he wouldn't give it to her but she gave hers to him then finally he gave her his name. Once she got to the party she had to explain why she was late but her father was glad that she was safe and well. later on shes on her cell with her best friend talking about what happened the night of her father's birthday party and before she knows it she put herself in another dangerous situation with a 18 wheeler and the 18 wheeler was coming straight for her she thought about everything she wanted to do and have done then she thought about Nero the guy that saved her the other night. And then she blacked out and when she woke up she was in the arms of her savoir once again!!!! Then he sat her down on a park bench and thats when it starts to get steamy until the end!!!!

A female cop getting robbed gets saved by a man (he's clearly a vampire, but she doesn't know that yet).

That same woman then almost gets hit by a truck. He saves her again.

She asks the strange man out on a date (even though he's told her a few times it's better she just let him be).

He asks if she'd have sex with him.

They have sex, and he bites her.

She wakes up in her own room.

End of story.

I felt like I was reading a really short, unedited Twilight fanfiction. For how little story there is, it likes to repeat itself. I couldn't really get a feel for either of its characters.

The main character is a cop who has a good relationship with her overprotective dad. She was also a virgin (I think) but willingly put out immediately for this guy she thought was a little shady, so...okay.

The vampire dude seems apathetic and like he doesn't give a crap about anything. You can't really get a good read on him.

I might not have cared about all the other stuff if at least the erotica part was hot. This, unfortunately, did not get me going.

Maybe the sequels are better, but I'm not investing more time in this. I just wanted me some vampire erotica.

Good book but can only compare it to twilight its a hotter unsencored version of twilight ....
The book starts with a police officer getting mugged and is threatened with the possibility of rape a stranger saves her now heres where it gets like twilight 1) police chiefs daughter -charlie in twilight is a cop and bellas dad 2) the sort of relationship the characters have is very similar to twilight because Bella loves charlie and is very close to him but also lies to protect him initially 3)Then theirs the van incident in both books the vampire saves her from being crushed by a van and 4) in both books the vampires attitude is very similar as in theirs the whole stay away from me if you know whats good for you at first from the vamp. Then ....
Very short book to good quick read if thats what your after .
